With a finger against her lips, the archeologist released a chuckle prompted by his reaction. Yes, it was a reaction that she quite expected, but Robin still found it quite humorous. Leave it to Franky to match her energy.

Martha smiled fondly as she thought about her two crew members. "Similar to my boys----they do all their own work on their prosthetics these days. They didn't make the originals, childhood accident, but what they have now'a'days is all their own handiwork. They're constantly fiddling with them." She chuckled.

"They're our musician and our striker. Our musician has two prosthetic legs, our striker has a prosthetic left arm."

"Thirsty?" She parroted, looking up at the shipwright. "Sure, I'll take a drink. Where'd y' learn all this by the way?"

It was very late in the night, and Robin worked very hard on the clay impressions of the Poneglyphs they found that day.  Fueled by coffee and what little books remained that could help her translate, Robin worked tirelessly.

Making the clay impressions was quite a task.  Robin brought with her Franky, Usopp, Nami, and Luffy.  Jinbei offered to stay behind so he could mediate between Sanji and Zoro.  There was no way Luffy would stay patiently waiting back at the ship, so he came with them to collect clay for the impressions.  Nami was able to survey the island to include in her map of the world, and Usopp looked out for anyone that they should avoid.  Franky was their muscle and would help Robin make the impressions.

Robin was glad for the company and the work that everyone put forth in getting the slabs back to the ship.  A weatherproof sealant was purchased to protect the impressions.  Luffy made sure to punch out any enemy they came across, and Usopp and Nami made sure to find a route back to the ship with fewer enemies to deal with.

The Poneglyphs were indeed the ones that told where the others could be found.  Law had said that some of the Emperors held the important ones.  Robin wanted to read as many as she could in the hopes that some of the scriptures would tell her more of the Lost History.

She heard movement and smiled in relief when it was Franky checking up on her.  She took a sip of her cup of coffee.

“It’s coming along,” she said.  She kept her voice as low as she could.  “They tell where the next important one could be found.  Unfortunately, I fear it is as Law inferred.  Some of the Emperors have their hands on them.  However, this monument has some things that might interest Usopp and you.”

The princess has already met the new crew members of the Straw Hat. However, still for her Franky is a guy who is simply amazing. Being a cyborg? Having lasers? Charging yourself with cola? That's brilliant! Vivi was walking to meet Franky. She wanted to show him something exciting.

"Franky-san! Check it out! A robot duck! Do you think you would be able to create similar ones? They would have been our shared pets. They match you."

Azure hues pause in their reading, glancing up and over before a gentle smile breaks on her face, and she shuts the book she had been perusing. Hand goes to her cheek in amusement, eyelashes fluttering ever so gently before she smiles ever brighter. "I'd be glad to ride ith you, where to, darling?" She questions, a smile on her face as she spoke, getting out of her chair to walk over.

"Though I'm sure wherever we go, it will be quite a fun experience. "

Most of her morning had been spent in the flower shop. February is one of the busiest months of the year, which wasn't surprising with Valentine's Day right around the corner. But she needed a break, and her mind immediately went to Franky who was hard at work on the rooftop. Leaving Koala in charge of the store, the retired archeologist made her way up. The door had been open and quickly her eyes fell upon Franky hammering away. Instantly her eyes lit up, lips stretched into a smile as their gaze connected.

The liquid disappeared in a matter of seconds, and just as fast she was being scooped up her feet. With a laugh, Robin is shaking her head with a grin. "There's no need to hurry. I hope you're not overexerting yourself." Her arms wrapped around his neck before placing a quick kiss on his cheek. "Did you have anything to eat?"

Rare was the sight of Robin feeling the blues of life. For her entire life, the archeologist had been good at concealing what made her heart sick. What good were emotions when you needed a calculative mind to survive? Living a life like that had made her skeptical of the human heart. It took time and effort to cast away such a way of living, and even though she still had remnants of over-protectiveness of her own self, Robin had done better when it came to opening up to people, specifically opening up to Franky.

She trusts and loves every member of her crew; they all provide her with something that had always been lacking in her life, but Franky is someone who saw her, truly delved into her heart, and extracted the better parts of her. It was truly impressive that a human being could ingrain themselves into you on a level that seemed highly impossible but here he was saying the right words, at the right moment making her smile genuinely.

Accepting his cola, she then took a step forward, pressing her forehead against his chest with a long sigh leaving parted lips, "If you don't mind, I would love that."

Robin fully relaxed in his embrace, feeling absolutely safe in his arms. That was the thing that at one point scared the living shit out of the archeologist. How safe she felt when it came to Franky but she supposed that their shared experience in Enies Lobby had a lot do with that trust. Or maybe, just maybe, their souls resonate with one another. Maybe they were born from the same star and that’s why it is easy to be with him, she feels whole; like two puzzle pieces finally clicking. Yes, it was scary at one point but she had embraced those feelings that she laughs at herself for being so fearful to begin with.

“And you are everything, Franky.” She grinned, hands cupping his face.

Your disgust is like a rot, a vile and toxic waste that festers and spreads, poisoning everything it touches. It is a feeling that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, a feeling that makes you cringe at the mere thought of it. It is like a disease that spreads, infecting everything in its path. Why do you feel repulsed at the sight of yourself? Is the weight of the world so much that you must push it away? I can see you swallow down your words- the scowl on your face is enough to know why.
