Everyone, I got my pit bike running :]

I got this bike on monday, and ive spent this whole week working on it! The carburetor was completely full of carbon and other shit, we replaced the spark plug too. As it was also layerd in carbon, but what was the biggest issue? One of the jets was completely blocked off with crap in it, im not sure what is was exactly but it was blocking off fuel flow! Well my roomate and i figured out we might aswell recheck it and clean the carb again, and boom. Dirty ahh pilot! Anyways. All i need now is to adjust the floats, put the new tubing on the fuel overflow "pipe¿?" and then get new tires! Badabing, badaboom!! Midas is on the road babeyy

I've had some rare opportunities in my life but this one proved to be more rare than most. Not many people smash their face full send on the ground and don't lose any teeth. How do I know this you wonder? Well it started when I got the invite to participate in the 2022 Pastranland Pit Bike Championship in May. Getting an invite is pretty cool but seeing the world-famous loop up close and personal was awesome. No one else seemed to want to have anything to do with it so I decided it was going to be part of my best trick attempt. No one at the event even tried to go near it, but I wasn't going to let it being brought to the East Coast go to waste. I don't remember, and I'll get to that shortly, how many attempts I made but one will leave on forever! It was a total fail and the video of it has gone viral, appearing in ESPN's feed at over 8 million views and shared on countless other social media sites with millions of views. I survived the crash with nothing more than a busted lip and bad headache. I wasn't allowed to try another attempt that day but I went back for a Veterans event 3 days later and landed it successfully. I have the completely destroyed helmet and the 19th orange hat given away by Travis Pastrana to show for my efforts. I now hold the record for world's first pitbike loop de loop. I did get the best trick trophy and worst crash trophy for my fail and my team won the championship!

Current obsessions: I’ve committed to finally making my motorbike dreams come true. I tried to get my license in 2009 and failed because of a ton of (at the time mostly financial) limitations. And I don’t want to just ride one, I want to be decent at it, like, going on a racetrack with it kinda decent. It’s lovely because it gets me outdoors and spend time with my best friend turned my personal performance coach. He’s actually qualified both as a bike rider and a sports trainer, but he’s also really learned recently about gentle training because he had to because of his nerve damage, which helps because anything sporty tends to be super PTSD triggering for me because of a genuinely horrific experience with it in school. I’m doing lean angle practice on a bmx bike atm, and we’re getting a pitbike (like a small not street legal version of a motocross bike) next, so I can practice. My friend is currently moving into a new house in the country side, where we can build a mini dirt bike track on the property. We’re doing a bunch of things, because I need to get stronger and generally more confident in my own physicality to pull it off. I was super active and confident as a child, climbed on every tree, but I was so much smaller and weaker than anyone else and I don’t think I have to explain how the schools chosen bully victim fares with that. Anyway. I’m trying to get back to who I feel I should have been, get stronger, unravel a shit ton of childhood trauma 😣 and losing some weight in the process probably (definitely NOT a priority!). It’s very difficult but also very fun in a way I never thought it could be (probably because I finally learned how to set goals in this area of my life, yay!) This was a very long winded way of saying my current obsession is self care via a fossil fuel burning hell machine. It is what is, you should blame Travis Pastrana for this.

Ho accompagnato D ad una pista indoor di pitbike. Ci siamo uniti ad un amico e al suo gruppo e gireranno tutti nello stesso turno. Sono tutti accompagnati da fidanzate/mogli/uscenti, qualunque cosa siano.

Il bar è una grande sala in cui si paga entrata ecc. e ha una grande vetrata che si affaccia sulla pista. Sono stata invitata dalle ragazze ad unirmi a loro ad un tavolino dall'altro lato del bar per un aperitivo che ho gentilmente rifiutato perché io ovviamente, come sempre, sono incollata alla vetrata affascinata a guardarli girare.

Io non voglio fare l'asociale di turno e non è che non voglio parlare con le altre ragazze del gruppo però onestamente non me ne frega un cazzo di stare seduta davanti ad un calice di vino che a cadenza di quarti d'ora viene riempito dal cameriere. E non me ne frega un cazzo di parlare di unghie, lavoro, cerette, tacchi, abiti e trucchi.

Son venuta per guardare D e la "gara", l'aperitivo me lo faccio con le amiche in un altro momento. Cosa stracazzo accompagnate i fidanzati se tanto poi non li guardate e state a farvi i cazzi vostri. State a casa.
