Somehow I finally felt motivated enough to describe a bit of lore regarding my version of "Kirby's species".

Scrapped OC Takeover Week Art with my OCs Pitchion, Xandos, Heiadoze and Melem. Dunno if Chiro counts as an OC. Maybe? They're there too.

Very Old Galacta Knight, Kirby and Meta Knight poses

A new ref for my most neglected OC, Pitchion. I did change the color of the eyes to be brighter and visible underneath the mask, other than that he is the same as before in terms of design. The backstory I had to revisit since I changed some things about my AU to make OCs less connected to canon characters.

Pitchion was born a negatively charged Dark Matterborn during the golden age of Halcandra under the care of a Halcandran battlemage and weapon enchanter named Melem who intended to bind his consciousness to the Master Sword to keep its power save from those who would seek to misuse its power. Finding herself unable to harm him after bonding with him, she bound ger own mind ri the sword instead. In the process Pitchion attempted to stop her using the dark matter possession ability, which caused nearby guards to believe that he had attacked her, resulting in his premature death. Upon realising what had happened the King of Halcandra (Necrodeus) revived Pitchion as a positively charged Darksoul Matterborn. He was then given into the care of Xandos, Melem's brother.

Around the time the Matterborn genocide began, Xandos took Pitchion and fled Halcandra. Not long afterwards Xandos' soul corrupted causing a forceful separation of the two, leaving Pitchion alone in a world that was hostile towards him. As an adult he became a revolutionary warrior who planned to destroy the ancients leading an army of likeminded individuals and Dark Matter alongside a newly freed Galacta Knight. Near the end of the battle Pitchion was defeated and banished by Fecto Elfilis. As a partial soul matterborn he was unable to die, yet suffered severe injuries upon being sent to another dimension full of violent cosmic storms.

His wounds left him with permanent scars all over his body, including damage in his wings that made flying much more difficult for him. It took him many years to recover from this. During this time he earned himself the title "Blood Knight" due to his blood red coloration and constant bleeding. Since then sightings of him became far less frequent and he was believed dead by many.

Known not only for her mastery of the sleep ability and her immensely powerful dream magic, but also for being the mother of Galacta Knight. She allies herself with pretty much anyone she considers fun, morals entirely disregarded. Those who are actively unfun or harm noddies she does not tolerate. She is always on the lookout for potential ways to help her new fun overlord, the Necromancer.

A train engineer responsible for travel between the Underworld and the overworld who occasionally visits Dark Rooms as well. Ever since he endured near-fatal injuries floating in Another Dimension he suffers from chronic pain issues and fears the stars. Despite appearing to be rather sinister, he tends to be very easy-going.

Today he sells enchanted items on the black market while keeping his past a secret, even to the puffball he raised.

Xandos' sister who was the one in charge of the enchantments of the Master Sword. She willingly transferred her own consciousness into the sword to keep its powers safe after a tragic accident took the life of the swords smith, her best friend Garlude. From within the sword she can still communicate with those who wield it, giving them advice wherever she can, however she is awfully quiet when asked about the past.

A being that shepherds the darkness that threatens to swallow the stars away from the light to preserve it for as long as he lives. He is a warrior known for his immense patience, often mistaken for being a noble knight, yet he never fancied himself that kind of person. Dutch works for Clan Eon-Eon, which consists of only Dream Matterborn except for himself.

In your recent post, you mentioned that Garlude is looking for Melem’s soul alongside Jecra's. How would everyone react to Kirby’s soul matter being from Melem's soul?

Garlude She was worried about Melem's soul for a long time given the fact that it had been separated from her mind. Seeing that it's not only in good shape, but also has become such an accomplished fighter just makes her beam with joy. The search has concludes in a good way!

Morpho Knight They have taken note of this fact earlier than anyone else and watched over the child closely as a result. Too bad their first proper encounter was tainted by the presence of the two halves of Elfilis, who they swore to murder to death.

Galacta Knight That Kirby was his child was surprising enough to him, but that he actually found Melem’s soul back was a big relief to him as well! A part of his old friend gets to live on within Kirby almost overshadows his sadness when it comes to realizing that he missed out on raising him.

Meta Knight Finding out that Kirby is the soul of Galaxia's sword spirit most certainly caught him off-guard. Part of him questioned whether he is supposed to pass the blade on to Kirby, yet Galaxia assured him that as long as he lives he'll remain her most suitable wielder.

Kirby Kirby himself doesn't know what to make of this information. In the end it doesn't change much for him. Thinking of Melem makes him feel fuzzy inside, though, something most Soul Matterborn experience that were born from the souls of the dead.

Xandos When he gave Melem’s soul to Galacta Knight for safekeeping he did not expect this to happen. Part of him feels betrayed by Galacta Knight, yet in the end seeing that part of his sister can get to live on outside of the confinement of a sword does warm his heart just a little bit.

Pitchion Since Kirby is a mix between both of his old crushes Pitchion has some more complicated feelings when it comes to Kirby. It does feel bitter that he's excluded, yet ultimately this is a positive conclusion in his mind. The sinister past has been left behind and given light to a jolly pink puffball.

Galaxia/Phantom Melem She recognized her soul right away, yet didn't notify Meta Knight about this until way later. She explicitly asked Meta Knight to hand her to Kirby during KATAM to confirm her suspicions and test if he'd notice himself. Galaxia is relieved to see that this part of herself which she willingly gave up on turned out to live on happily.

Alright, these were the most notable ones I could think of! Honestly, I am surprised this obscure lore detail I buried somewhere caught the attention of two separate people. Incredible!

Well, I have the power to do so! Solve some puzzles made by me, and I'll give you the opportunity to go back in time as far as you like!

I sense... conflict arising

I dug deeper into the garbage disposal on my phone and found some more abandoned projects and junk alike.

Various old Galacta Knight doodles from different angles I did to figure out his anatomy. The one in the bottom left corner actually got finished. lol

A reference for my OC Xandos I started featuring Meta Knight at various ages. I did go a little overboard here.

This was some very early concept art for Pitchion. I struggled a lot to figure out a design I liked... At first I wanted to give him bat wings, but somehow convinced myself he looks too much like Batman. Like... come on, two things based on bats look alike go figure

Another abandoned comic that would have shown the moment in which Melem bound her consciousness to Galaxia. Here we only get to see how Chiro tried to stop her using their possession ability. Since they couldn't talk they were unable to communicate that to Galacta Knight and Pitchion. This would also have shown a negative Dark Matter becoming a positive Dark Matter.

I’m sorta curious on what your ocs would think of gizmo but sorta scared since I know the answer for the most part. SO! 👏

Five Star Fury Gizmo! He got all Wishing Star Fragments and is READY to prove everyone in Popstar wrong! How do the others react to this?

Alright, let's see here…

Heiadoze: Whether she likes someone or not solely depends on how much fun they are to her on a scale between fun, not fun and unfun. Gizmo seems like he'd at least be entertaining for her to watch at this point. I say she'd like him a little!

Xandos: He likes very very few people. Whoever gets along with Meta Knight he tolerates. That he got along with Meta Knight at one point scores Gizmo some points, but as soon as that is no longer the case those points are back to zero.

Pitchion/Blood Knight: He'd be very sympathetic towards Gizmo given that he too struggled with similar issues and be the most supportive. He'd be rooting for him the whole way through!

Eon-Eon Dutch: They do have the whole thing in common in being "another Kirby", but Dutch would be much more hesitant to ever battle against Kirby in a serious manner. Kirby's enemies are pretty much all his enemies as well automatically.

Valfrey: She'd be so so interested in watching him! Valfrey would be very curious about him as a Mock Matterborn and happily observe his new abilities. She would be a fan!

Ultra Knight: It primarily only likes those who worship it or are at least somewhat useful to it, but as a creator itself it'll have some respect towards Gizmo for his gadgets and how he managed to gain power despite his disadvantages. Also the whole conflict between him and the Star Allies is a very welcome distraction from its own evil deeds!

Gatteka: He doesn't like conflict at all, therefore any sympathy he might have had towards Gizmo would have faded away upon seeing him turn against the Star Allies. It reminds him of very bad things.

Ume: Similar to Valfrey, Ume would be extremely interested in the Mock Matterborn and his abilities, but in a more cold-hearted scientist kind of way. He would like him in the worst way possible.

Rotated my Kirby OC Blood Knight around a little while my migraine head didn't work well enough for more complex stuff. I intended to cover some angles that were previously unaccounted for in his reference, namely the pauldrons, the way in which his horns curl and the way in which his suit works.

There may be some mistakes I didn't notice, since I didn't have too much time to polish the whole thing. (I already found "flyings", btw. He's so bad at flying he can't spell it correctly </3)

A Knightmare in the Underworld: No fighting on the Train

As the train moves on Axe Knight tries to keep the mood steady, pointing out notable locations to Meta Knight as they appear and explaining things along with Blood Knight. Meanwhile Papi just watches the situation disgruntled, only occasionally chiming in with an addition or correction if an explanation seems particularly off to him. Both of the other underworld warriors laugh it off, especially Blood Knight.

"I swear Papi isn't always like that. He's actually a really nice kid, it's just that he really really hates me."

"Everything goes wrong whenever you're involved. The pattern doesn't lie."

"At least I am involved."

Both Axe Knight and Blood Knight begin to laugh heartily. Not even Meta Knight can resist a chuckle, meanwhile Papi's expression darkens even further. Instead of engaging with the insult he looks outside the window to see for how much longer he has to endure the company of these knights.

"Stop at the next station. We'll have to go on foot from there on out."

At that moment a light in the upper corner of the train's dashboard begins to shine and a monitor displays the name of a station. Blood Knight takes a look at it while addressing Papi.

"Looks like we're gonna stop there anyway. Someone ordered a ride."

He tabs the monitor to switch to a different screen which shows a camera recording of the station and is immediately met with a close up of Morpho Knight's face. Holding back a laugh he turns to his guests pointing at the screen.

"Oh, it's… You know. The one we're looking for."

Papi moans, rolling his eyes annoyed about the waste of time he just experienced. Axe Knight chuckles while Meta Knight tilts his head in confusion.

"That I did not expect from them."

"Morpho and I have known one another for a very long time. We're comfortable enough with each other to be silly like that."

"I see. It's like with my crew."

Upon hearing these words from his boss Axe Knight almost explodes from happiness, he can hardly hide his excitement. Papi, still sitting next to him, begins to slowly move away in dismay.

Meanwhile Blood Knight has his eyes on the upcoming station and notices Morpho Knight waiting, however, unexpectedly, they are not alone. Next to them stands Galacta Knight, the Greatest Warrior in the Galaxy!

"That's Galacta Knight. Galacta Knight is with Morpho Knight."

"Galacta Knight is here!?"

He mutters, followed by all three of his guests. Blood Knight brings the train to a halt at the station shortly after and opens the door for the two ancient warriors. Both enter, Morpho Knight smiling at Blood Knight warmly at first greeting him, yet upon noticing Meta Knight they immediately turn hostile and draw their sword.

Galacta Knight jumps into a corner with a flap of his wings and holds up his shield defensively. Without hesitation Meta Knight lets his cape fall back and draws his treasured sword Galaxia from within it to counterattack. As the two swords clash Papi withdraws his own weapon, a nasty looking mace and attempts to swing it in Meta Knight's direction only to be met with Axe Knight's axe.

"NO FIGHTING IN THE TRAIN!!"

"NO FIGHTING ON MY FUCKING TRAIN!!!"

With sudden brute force Blood Knight pushes Morpho Knight out the door using his water ability to help wash them outside the vehicle. The lighter warrior had no choice but to leave the train immediately. At the same time Axe Knight kicks Papi with full power and he as well gets washed out before he can react. Immediately after Blood Knight pulls a lever that shuts the train's doors and additional water is shot from the train's sides to push the two butterfly warriors further away.

The train begins to pick up speed leaving both Papi and Morpho Knight in the mud. The remaining warriors look at each other with heavy breathing. Axe Knight points at Galacta Knight dramatically shouting.

"We found Galacta Knight! Mission successful!"

To that Galacta Knight does a little victory dance akin to Kirby's classic dances with his hands in the air.

"I have been found! What does that mean, though?"

Meta Knight shakes his head in dismay with Galaxia still in his hand.

"That was only one of our goals. I also meant to ask Morpho Knight why they attacked Magolor, Marx and I at The Divine Terminus. Admittedly I should have expected them to be hostile towards me once again."

Then Blood Knight points at him still trying to figure out the situation in his head.

"You! You acted in self-defence!"

"Yes?"

"Great. This is how I'll justify this to Morpho Knight."

He then turns back to his dashboard to check in on the current status. At the same time Axe Knight sits back down followed by Meta Knight and then Galacta Knight. The skull-faced warrior shrugs even though he himself had been concerned for a moment.

"Morpho Knight and Papi both know as well as you and me that fighting is forbidden in here. Lord Meta Knight, however, didn't and is therefore excused."

"Sounds about right."

Blood Knight nods while watching his monitors in an attempt to catch a glimpse of Morpho Knight in the camera footage with no success.

"You see, this used to happen a lot and the train has derailed because of that far more often than I wanna think about. I began to insist on a no-fighting rule in here, anyone who doesn't follow this rule gets kicked out immediately."

"I've been in here while it happened one time. It was almost as bad as that one time the Halberd crashed."

Axe Knight nods along approving of every word his old friend says. The remaining two warriors listen carefully before addressing one another, starting with Galacta Knight.

"Last time we met, when you were travelling with that noddy and the halcandran, what happened?"

"Morpho Knight… absorbed you and then attacked us. We defeated them, but you didn't reappear. We were worried about you, Galacta Knight. I should be the one to ask what happened."

"Apparently Morpho Knight brought me here to fight someone or something. Typical."

To that Blood Knight joins the conversation again.

"Dark Nebula. A negative Matterborn, Darksouldream hybrid. If you guys don't mind I'll bring us there and we quickly take care of them so Morpho has less reason to be mad on us and then I'll bring you all back to the overworld. Deal?"

"Deal."

Everyone agrees, eager to get this whole thing over with. The pressure of the Underworld lays heavy on both the souls of Meta Knight and Galacta Knight, neither wishing to stay for longer than they need to.
