The design has changed quite a bit! Some may remember this post which concluded in Kirby ending up as Soul Matterborn, but that isn't the end of his story at all. After the battle against Void Termina he regained the matters of Dark, Heart and Dream making him a Chaos Matterborn once again, while the leftover Soul Matter became Void Soul and then Blue Kirby. As to his origins...

At one point Valfrey was tricked into hating dark matter with a burning passion. For many years they made it their mission to wipe the species out, only to find out that they had been deceived. Now they're more accepting of those of the matter most dark, however they do not regret any of their past actions as it isn't an emotion they can feel.

Can you tell us more about Gatteka?

Here is a brief summary of his life. He got completely destroyed by those he trusted the most, as is tradition.

They've met once before.

Meta Knight got to meet Gatteka once, some time before he met Kirby. He experienced one of the natural abilities of Dark Matterborn, which is that they can very easily communicate with other member's of their tribe in a way akin to telepathy, exchanging both emotions and thoughts with ease which offers them a tactical advantage, yes, but it also means that negative feelings some may bear to their kin can detected as well.

Gatteka could sense the disdain Meta Knight felt towards himself and those of their kind, since he is still regarded as part of his tribe, which greatly saddened him. The ancient Dark Matterborn always believed that dark matter isn't any more evil than any other type of matter. Seeing how its negative reputation has affected his own son is nothing short of depressing in his eyes. They had to part ways on perhaps not bad terms, yet it wasn’t a good experience for either one of them.

This is sort of a sequel to this since the events of that post lead up to those seen in this one. I'll go over more details about Gatteka in another post, hopefully soon. ~

Can you tell us about Valfrey?

Gladly! I used this chance to do a wee reference for her.~

Fourth of the matters most ancient, the sun to the stars, dimensions and nebulas that came before her. Both bringer and taker of lives, She the one who places judgement upon those who pass into her realm known as the Underworld.

Valfrey is a warrior poet with a strong moral code and an unmatched skill in the use of soul magic, a skill so potent she once was worshiped as a god alongside the other three original matterborn.

She may be both elegant and whimsical, compassionate and then suddenly cruel beyond comprehension. Such is the nature of the bringer of life and death. While she is known to speak in prose with a sing-song voice, her pronunciations tend to be... creative.

Wherever she went she was accompanied by her chosen followers, the Shinigami, who would play songs for her in the background for dramatic effect whenever she entered a scene. Occasionally she'll whip out an entire piano herself if it suits the occasion or be accompanied by an entire orchestra.

Valfrey used to have a close relationship with the first Dream Matterborn, Twinkle Popopo, who was infected by Dark Matter at one point and perished. Plagued by grief she was tricked into believing that the first Dark Matterborn, Gatteka and his Demon Tribe were responsible for her death and promptly went to war against all Dark Matter. While she didn't succeed in wiping out all Dark Matter, positively charged Dark Matterborn remain a rare sight to this day due to her actions.

In battle she uses her shapeshifting weapon, the Valkyrie and may summon the souls of powerful warriors she has collected from her wings to fight alongside her. She is also able to shapeshift into the forms of the very same warriors, if required. Valfrey has been known to harass living warriors who suit her liking reminding them that she will claim their souls upon death, with mixed responses.

Her actions eventually lead to a confrontation with a group of Dream Matterborn known as Clan Eon-Eon, who managed to lock her up within her own body by creating a negatively charged hybrid matterborn known as Dark Nebula, using matter from both them, dark matter from an infected clan member and Valfrey's own matter.

Aeons passed until she was freed and after a chaotic turn of events, sealed away again, yet this time trapped within the body of someone else.

Upon being freed once more she began her journey to find a new purpose in life, showing much curiosity towards the little things around her and not a single hint of regret when it comes to her actions of the past.

Gatteka is an absolute party animal! He has the Festival Ability and he has it for a reason. The thing he collects is bottles, mugs, cups, anything that can hold an alcoholic beverage, one for each party he attends and attend he does many! He lives that hedonistic lifestyle! Sometimes it's especially difficult to choose a single container to take and he laments about it for hours looking for advice from his peers.

I’m sorta curious on what your ocs would think of gizmo but sorta scared since I know the answer for the most part. SO! 👏

Five Star Fury Gizmo! He got all Wishing Star Fragments and is READY to prove everyone in Popstar wrong! How do the others react to this?

Alright, let's see here…

Heiadoze: Whether she likes someone or not solely depends on how much fun they are to her on a scale between fun, not fun and unfun. Gizmo seems like he'd at least be entertaining for her to watch at this point. I say she'd like him a little!

Xandos: He likes very very few people. Whoever gets along with Meta Knight he tolerates. That he got along with Meta Knight at one point scores Gizmo some points, but as soon as that is no longer the case those points are back to zero.

Pitchion/Blood Knight: He'd be very sympathetic towards Gizmo given that he too struggled with similar issues and be the most supportive. He'd be rooting for him the whole way through!

Eon-Eon Dutch: They do have the whole thing in common in being "another Kirby", but Dutch would be much more hesitant to ever battle against Kirby in a serious manner. Kirby's enemies are pretty much all his enemies as well automatically.

Valfrey: She'd be so so interested in watching him! Valfrey would be very curious about him as a Mock Matterborn and happily observe his new abilities. She would be a fan!

Ultra Knight: It primarily only likes those who worship it or are at least somewhat useful to it, but as a creator itself it'll have some respect towards Gizmo for his gadgets and how he managed to gain power despite his disadvantages. Also the whole conflict between him and the Star Allies is a very welcome distraction from its own evil deeds!

Gatteka: He doesn't like conflict at all, therefore any sympathy he might have had towards Gizmo would have faded away upon seeing him turn against the Star Allies. It reminds him of very bad things.

Ume: Similar to Valfrey, Ume would be extremely interested in the Mock Matterborn and his abilities, but in a more cold-hearted scientist kind of way. He would like him in the worst way possible.
