One of the things I loved most about Vietnam was definitely the food and coffee culture. I knew Saigon was world renown for its cuisine, but it was amazing beyond my wildest dreams.

The pho was of course heavenly, as well as the salted egg robusta coffee, the steak bo bun with bone marrow, banh mi, mooncakes, shaved iced drinks, boba, Asian snacks and everything else!! Even the local thin-crust European style pizza by Pizza4P restaurant was impeccable and some of the best I’ve ever had in the world.

Honestly would just recommend everyone to go to Ho Chi Minh City and EAT until you collapse bc the food is delicious, affordable and full of protein.

Applying for a job can be a joy

Lúc ra trường mình gửi đi 40 CVs mà không được cái nào cả. Thi Management Trainee Pepsi rớt ở vòng 1. Mình chỉ được intern ở Dale Carnegie Việt Nam và gửi thư trực tiếp đến email Managing Director của Brandmaker và được giao cho 1 bài thi là kế hoạch 7 ngày ra mắt Galaxy phone. Mình nộp bài rồi sau đó làm lại nộp thêm 1 bài nữa. Và được nhận việc. Công việc duy nhất trúng tuyển. Ngày xưa thấy gửi CV ra không được thì buồn lắm sau này nhìn lại thấy mắc cười, còn vui nữa vì mấy chỗ kia không nhận nên mới được vào làm ở Brandmaker, rất hợp với mình. Thời đó còn nộp đơn vô công ty xi măng nữa. Có đi phỏng vấn và làm bài phân tích dữ liệu cho HSBC mà rớt. Có thi Kantar phân tích dữ liệu đậu chuẩn bị phỏng vấn thì được nhận ở Brandmaker. TimexCo là website mình và miro cùng thiết kế và dựng với em Thân, còn làm thiết kế web nữa cho PVOils và Care4car. Gần đây có đi xin gọt rau củ cho Pizza4ps mà quá 30 tuổi không được nhận dù rất thích công việc này. Vì chưa biết mình thích gì nên cứ gửi hết chỗ này chỗ kia. Học bổng thời ĐH cũng không đi vì không chắc mình muốn học Finance chỉ thích học ĐH Ngoại thương để xem Văn nghệ mấy bạn diễn hay lắm. Tới giờ vẫn không tiếc chút nào vì mãi sau 35 tuổi mới hứng thú với Data & Finance và sẵn sàng hơn cho nó.

Đăng tin dạy Tiếng Anh thì được nhận và dạy hơn 1 năm tới giờ, rất vui luôn. Rất hợp và ý nghĩa!

Bây giờ gửi tiếp vô Elsa xin làm đại lý phân phối phần mềm Tiếng Anh.

Ho Chi Minh Christmas Escapades Day 4

It's the last day of our Christmas escapade in Ho Chi Minh and the Breakfast Club is down to only three people. However, morale is high and we are continuing our search for delicious food by starting the day with a visit to the popular Nam Son which is renowned for its beefsteak.

As it’s our first time to this restaurant, we decided to order the Bit tet thap cam which is a combination of steak, egg, pate, and meatball. It turned out to be a terrific choice as the steak was lean and juicy, the pate was flavorful without being too overpowering, and the egg helps to bring all components of the plate together.

Each serving comes with a healthy serving of fresh vegetables and pickles, and not forgetting the national culinary symbol: Banh Mi.

After eagerly waiting for several days, I am finally back at Pizza 4P’s  to savor some of the best pizza and pasta in town.

Today's menu featured the Crab and Tomato Spaghetti, Smoked Burrata Bolognese Spaghetti, Burrata Parma Ham Margherita Pizza, and 3 Cheese Pizza.

For dessert, we indulged in a Chocolate Tart with House-made Mascarpone Lime Cream and Apple Pizza with Vanilla Ice Cream.

We absolutely loved the food, the atmosphere, and the attentive service. Thanks to Pizza 4P’s for yet another satisfying and comforting dining experience.

After a spectacular lunch, we indulged in more bubble tea fun at a Tealive cafe near Ben Thanh Market where overseas visitors can enjoy a special 1-for-1 drinks promotion.

Finally, it’s come down to our last traditional Vietnamese dinner in the city for this Christmas adventure and we choose to spend our time at the popular Ngon Restaurant.

Menu for the evening included rice rolls, salad, stir fried morning glory (kang kong), roast pork, spring rolls, and stir fried pork served with a plate of fresh vegetables and herbs to wrap in rice paper.

Thank you Ho Chi Minh City for the beautiful memories and delicious dishes. I will be counting down the days when I am back in town to uncover more of its hidden culinary gems.
