Ok so I have a lot of ideas for stories in my head, one of them is a rewrite of PLvsPW but I already have three unfinished fanfics that I started that I want to finish, and it’s not even the only ace attorney or professor Layton story I want to write, I got tons of other stories I want to write! So I’m just gonna give one of my favorite piece of the story I came up without there and hopes that it will satisfy that part of my mind. (I wish I could just focus on one project but nooooo… I keep hyperfixatening on a lot of different stuff)
For a bit of context, I wanted to keep Phoenix and Maya a bit of a mystery in this reimagining, how and why they are in Labyrinthia is different than in the original story and is told how they got there later in the story, not at the beginning. Hence Phoenix’s new attire, it will take a bit more deductive reasoning to figure out that they aren’t from around here, trust between the Amaricans and the British team will be a bit more of a slow burn as a result.
As for why Layton started crying…. Phoenix had to learn the hard way that people are flawed by nature, even himself is flawed and can’t live up to his own unrealistic ideals (farewell my turnabout) so while he respects the Professor he keeps in mind that Hershel is a person just like him. Layton on the other hand is a man that has a lot of high expectations placed on him, from other people and even himself with his whole ‘gentleman’ thing. So when he hears those words, they are the kindest thing anyone has ever said to him in a very long time. He starts crying and doesn’t know why.
Any other fanfic writers out there feel free to use this interaction in any of your works. (Not just for these two)

“It’s like there’s a fire in my mind burning away at me every time I figure it out.”
So I’m dropping this potential future scene from my Fanfic with out any context.
Y’all already saw the professor cry but Nicky here will spill his tears as well

Map Mishap rewritten for my fic
The map given to the Professor and Luke is really confusing….
However there is a way to read this map in a way that makes sense!
How do you read the map?
Answer under the read more
Tumblr media
By folding the for corners in the middle you get a much more coherent map!

Honestly this artwork is the main reason this next part took so long to finish.

The first puzzle from my fic.
Luke is tasked to find a certain book on the shelf.
“It’s the one lone book that is different than the rest, how about you find it?”
Answer under the read more
Tumblr media
There is one book on the shelf that isn’t next to any other book!
Can you also find all the references I put in there?

Day 7 free day
Here’s what I think their first meeting would be like in my potential reimagining of PL vs PW which I hope to write someday. (Got other stuff to work and worry about)
Their first encounter ended up a bit different with the Professor protecting a man form something with a fire poker (it was the closest thing he could grab that resembled a sword). But Nick’s first impression on the professor remained the same however.
Tumblr media
A strange man with a weird habit of yelling, slamming both hands down on things and pointing.
Glad how these turned out.
If you want to learn more about this rewrite here’s more: bullet point list of stuff I want to happen, ace attorney characters redesign, only human (comic)
Had a good laywright week, I’m kinda new to this ship and wasn’t a fan at first but they became quite the comfort for me. The two of them just have some amazing chemistry and not just in a romantic way. Hope everyone enjoyed all the art and stories put out in this week. Let’s wish for the best for these two series!
Let’s keep creating some awesome stuff!

(There’s more to them then meets the eye)
So yeah, remember what I said about the trust and teamwork being a bit of a slow burn?
That handshake at the end is certainly gonna have to be earned.
This strange man has certainly thrown Layton through a loop, he can’t tell if he’s a friend or foe, or if he should take him seriously or not. (Hence why he was a little bit rude)
His female companion is equally peculiar.
(Also been experimenting with different last names, I think Nick is gonna have a new last name but Mia won’t have one at all, hence: Mr. Wick, it was gonna originally be Wings but that sounded kinda dumb.)
Also excuse me practicing perspective.
Prequel to this comic.

New part!
Patty can make three special kinds of bread: Loaf A, Loaf B, and Loaf C. She challenges you by asking you to determine exactly how long it takes to make Loaf B.
Here's what Patty tells you:
Loaf A takes exactly 1 hour to complete. This includes preparing the dough, letting it rise, and baking it.
Loaf B takes somewhere between 1 and 3 hours in total, but Patty isn't sure of the exact duration.
Loaf C always takes exactly 2 hours total, which includes dough preparation, rising, and baking.
She also provides two important clues:
Preparing the dough for Loaf B takes exactly twice as long as the time needed for Loaf A to rise and bake.
Loaf C involves a slightly more complicated process than Loaf B, yet it does not take longer overall to make than Loaf B.
Based on these facts, can you determine exactly how long it takes Patty to make Loaf B?

It takes 2 hours to make loaf B!
Finaly got this posted! I’m quite happy on how this art and puzzle turned out!

This case is really good a lot of tension and stuff! Also I just love the Sherlock (or herlock) quote here.
Most of the prep work for my pl vs pw rewrite is almost done (wanted it to make sense) I still got a bit to go before I actually start writing but it’s looking good so far! Winter Break is also coming up! Hope to get this started soon.

So for My PL vs PW rewrite…. I was thinking of putting in an optional bad ending.
Due to the decision of one charater. The entire thing can go one way or another.
It’s not a terrible ending just everyone staying trapped underneath Labyrinthia’s spell and our heroes becoming trapped underneath it as well.
The Professor is now a teacher, is still friends with Luke who now runs errands.
Nick an Mia are doing great, now starting a business where you pay someone to speak up for your defense.
All four of them friendship blooming and a romance between Nicolas and Hershel.
(And maybe their other friends will be enchanted into this as well.)
Just living in forced ignorance.
The secrets remaining hidden forever.
Labyrinthia’s power growing and effecting the entire world now.
It’s a bittersweet kind of ending.
I’m just not to sure if I’m comfortable with writing something like this.
Or how I’ll implement it.
Let me know your ideas and feelings about this. Should I put something like this in?

Ok more about my PL vs PW rewrite fic (still thinking of a name) I definitely will have to play though the game before I start but I do have some ideas on what to put in (a whole doc full of plot points in order). I won’t tell everything as this is still a mystery and some of the main points will be rewritten. But I will put some bullet points out there of what may be in the story.
Laywright slow burn
Luke and Maya siblings friendship slow burn
It will mostly fallow the Professor and Luke in the beginning. Investagating this odd town.
More supernatural elements and threats besides witches in Labyrinthia.
Phoenix and Maya are a mystery and are going by new names. Nicolas and Mia.
New case 1 replacing the English turnabout in game. It will be similar to the great witch trial in case 2 in game but there will be new twists. I kinda think it was weird to have Phoenix relearn everything twice. Just have one tutorial case.
Zacharias having a proper character arc. Yes he is the case 1 ‘prosecutor’ I know breaking tradition here (sorta) but it kinda counts as he has no idea how to use logic and gets absolutely served. He then goes on a self improvement journey, learning from Phoenix to better judge witches. And we see his growth in later cases.
The storytellers tower is a place visited multiple times during the investigation.
Evidence and hints added sprinkled throughout leading to the grand finale
Tears, assumptions, betrayal, discord, words not being heard, murders and near death encounters.
But also comfort, redemption, healing, family, memories, love and understanding.
New characters
The Dance of Deduction!
New twists!
Magic spells of course!
Spirit chanleing
The professor’s ’is you!’ Dramatic finger point.
Side B staring Miles Edgworth, Larry Butz, and other Professor Layton characters (maybe Flora! I don’t know if she was adopted during this time however)
Puzzles, namely ones people can actually do themselves! Might be extra work but it seems to be fun!
Let me know some of your ideas.

Looking for help with creating puzzles and more for my Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright rewrite fanfic called the Rewritten Labyrinth
Hey all! So some of you know I am creating a rewrite of Professor Layton vs Phoenix wright. The original while a huge banger in some aspects fell flat, mostly the ending. I am hoping to add my own unique twist to the story while keeping what made the original so good. I definitely took some inspiration from other PL vs PW fanfics and stories to create it.
It definitely won’t be perfect but I hope you will all enjoy!
Most of the pre work for the fic is almost done.
But I am looking for some help creating some aspects of the fic. Mostly the puzzles. I’m somewhat good and making a few but I could use help creating and designing some brain teasers and probably parts of the case sections as well. I do have a few concepts
You don’t have to volunteer your time. just help me find some resources to help me create some stuff.
I might also look for other artists besides my self to create some artwork for this project to make it better or even a co-writer in the future but right now I just need help with the puzzles.
Plz reblog with something or say something on this post if you have anything and are interested in helping me flesh out some puzzles.

More stuff from the PLvsPW rewrite inside my head. (Thanks @aceblaze01 for the name idea)
Here we have Phoenix Wright Nicolas and Mia Maya Fey, two completely normal Labrithan Citizens.
I am still learning how to draw ace attorney and Professor Layton characters. I swapped his eye colors cus it looks better.
For Nicolas I did my best to make his outfit remenestant of a modern day suit while staying period acrute. So I went with a vest, I thought there would be no pure white shirts in this time as well so the undershirt is a bit of a dirty white color. The main thing I had to think about was what could replace a tie? The most accurate thing would be a Cravat, but a normal one seems to fit better on someone who would oppose Nicolas, so I gave him one that was tied in a bow instead. Nicolas does his best to make sure his clothes are in good condition to be presented in, that’s why it’s difficult to see the repairs done to his clothes.
Mia was a bit trickier, I wanted her to have a different outfit then Espella, and commoners back in the day didn’t really wear purple. First I thought about giving her a yellow outfit (as it is complementary color) but ultimately I gave her a lavender color with the yellow undershirt. accuracy be dammed. I am happy I managed to make her hairstyle work while still being age appropriate. As well as some hints to her spiritual nature. She is also a bit dirtier than Nicolas due to her having a wild nature.
These two make their living doing odd jobs around Labyrinthia (at one time they were bakers and worked for Patty Eclair) they are a bit lost on what to do with themselves, as they hop from job to job, from goat milker to blacksmith helper, but nothing seems right. Who knows maybe they will find their calling sooner or later.
(Don’t worry they will still wear the aprons in the story!)

The Inquisitors redesign. (Edit! Accidentally made darklaw smaller they are supposed to be the same hight.)
To be an inquisitor in Labyrinthia is to make sure you are sure, strong, strict, never let your emotions get the better of you or shown to others. You keep your helmet on at all times and remain calm and diligent, carry out the will of the storyteller without question and keep the people safe form any sort of danger may it be common drunk or magical beast.
Currently there are two people who have the rank of Inquisitors.
Darklaw and Barnham.
Their golden gantlet’s and sun and moon badges are proof of their rank.
These two work together semlessly like how day transitions to night and vice versa.
Absolutely holding order, with no doubt or room for negotiation.
However things change and the inquisitors revolve may not be as unbreakable as they would like to believe as they for the first time in a long while get challenged.
Xxxxxx
Ok so I didn’t change a lot in terms of their design, why improve on perfection?
However now these two are now the same rank. Standing right next to the storyteller on the parade.
Their new badges are based on the sun and moon puzzle and the storytellers weird sun moon emblem.
Tried a different brush and style for Barnham.
I like the helmet design I came up with for Darklaw.
Let me know what you think!
