My big plant guy! His name is Terra.

He lures prey to his area with his sweet scent, and then ambushes them. He has multiple stomachs, with the main one being labeled in the drawing. First, prey will digest fully in the primary chamber, but if it gets too full (or if the prey is very large) they'll be sent down to his stomach further down his body for digestion. He doesn't need eyes, either, as he navigates with scent! He uses a special organ similar to snakes that basically lets him see in infrared.

I want to fill you all in on my current obession.

Plant Preds.

(Botanical Humanoids, Carnivorous Plants, etc.)

There are countless examples in media of plants nomming people so it got me thinking about the details of what being eaten by a plant/plant-person would probably be like.

Is the mouth textured like a flytrap?

Would their stomach be like a pitcher plant or just a tangle of vines?

Or just like the inside of a head of lettuce?

Would it smell sweet? Floral? Or like something else?

Instead of saliva would it just be aloe vera?

Or like an essential oil?

What kind of noises would it make?

Maybe the sounds of vines moving?

Anyways, I keep seeing posts on carnivorous plant preds, and that's what sparked my rant because I have carnivorous plant preds whom I told everyone I know about, and I love them.

So, while I won't go into too much detail on them, I'll share a few ideas I have about the concept.

I have two kinds of plant-people characters, ones who are the plant and ones that look human but have plants growing as part of them. Coincidentally, both my carnivorous plant bois are the latter.

The first boi has a big ol pitcher plant growing out of his abdomen/stomach region but is mostly concealed by the leaf that covers the opening, so the pitcher itself is at an angle and is his actual stomach. All you can see is a cute leaf on his belly til he decides you look tasty-

The second boi I don't consider a pred as much just due to my preferences in vore, but could totally be one if it was in your interest. This is because he doesn't have a stomach, not really. His carnivorous plant is called a Butterwort and is a massive one growing from his back. The butterwort eats bugs by producing a substance on their leaves that resembles water, luring the bugs but actually causes them to stick once they land, the substance then also digesting the bug. I'm sure you can see now why I don't consider him a pred, not to mention his docile nature. I think it could be interesting to see a character like him in g/t vore or the like. However, it's not my cup of tea.

My last plant pred is the first type I mentioned, but he's not a carnivorous plant. He's just like a humanoid onion guy. He's also a farmer and despises pests in his garden. Should he catch one in or near his precious garden? Well, it just so happens his favorite meal is meat. You might be wondering 'oh why does a plant guy who's also a farmer eat meat?'

Listen there are reasons and more details I'm not mentioning about my plant characters / species ok, ?? I'm just hesitant to talk about them cause ?? I've told everyone I know about these guys and if I go in to all the cool details---

Another idea I have but haven't executed yet is an Anemone boi. Yes, I know they aren't plants, but they do fit in nicely with my other plant people. Just thought I'd throw them out there to the vore community as an option, too.

Oh, and if you're into d/n&/d you should check out the Body/taker Plant. Massive plant that eats creatures and replaces them with po/dling copies.

Ok ok we've all seen a "prey" swallow a would-be predator. We've all seen a plant pred - little shop of horrors was definitely a Thing. But what about an herbivorous pred and sentient plant prey?

Like. I keep thinking about that one HASO post that had the idea that flesh-based lifeforms are the weird things of the universe. That most life is plant-based. So what would happen if a bunny girl or something meets up with a plant girl during a cultural exchange program? Idk I think the only way that they're both leaving that room is if the plant is hanging off the gut of the bunny lady.

It's amazing that something as small as you can do so much damage. but that's the fun part of being a Kylothian. A race of tiny plant like aliens. despite your size you have managed to conquer and destroy several planets. You're next target is earth. This planet is full of plant life which should help you blend in. but you want to do any real damage you needed a human body. The unfortunate human was Oliver Stark. You landed in a park and took the form of a small flower. Oliver was in his way home one night when he came across you. Spotting this human you turn on your scent to lure him in. Oliver catches a whiff and can't resist bending over to get a sniff. Now you've got him. Your petals wrap around his face and engulf his head. from there you swallow him hole. Nobody heard Oliver scream as he was sucked into a tiny flower forever. Now that you have him inside you, his body is all yours. You grow several vines that twist around to form Oliver Stark's shape. Soon it's impossible to tell the difference. Now in Oliver's body you see two strange lights up ahead. They came from Ryan Guzman's car. Ryan is Oliver's lover. When he sees him in the park he can't resist. He's in the mood tonight. "Hey beautiful!" Ryan nodded his head up calling toward you. This human smells good. You wonder how he might taste. He kisses you on the lips and slides his tongue in your mouth. Ryan noted that Oliver has a distinctly fruity taste all of a sudden. but he tastes even better to you. "You taste good!" He grins as you both sneak behind the bushes to fuck. You take in his scent on the way there before you attack. Your vines wrap around Ryan's body lifting him in the air. He screams as you lower him into your mouth. His legs kicking in the air from behind the bushes. You're belly stretches out with the sexy man trapped inside. "Yeah. You too!" You pat your full belly as you walk out from behind the bushes. You carry your outstretched belly as the two men inside you struggle. You keep your bulge as you walk back to Oliver's apartment. Shrinking them down later so nobody notices you have men in there. You think you are going to like this planet.

Something that gives me butterflies

The scenario of a prey confessing their love to a pred, even giving them flowers, screaming while being a blushing mess that they love the pred.

Or it doesn't have to a confession, just a prey giving flowers to their pred to cheer them up

And the pred smiles, they pick up the flowers alongside the prey too

"Flowers comes with sweets too" they say as they plant a soft kiss on the prey's cheek before lovingly eating them up.

I just like the mental image of a pred just looking dreamily at the flower that the prey gave them while simultaneously rubbing their stomach, its full of a sweet lil bundle of joy.

I dunno it's just so cute and heartwarming
