You might remember from this ask but Coda likes fish. So, I've read the dorm rules and found cats, dogs or exotic animals were not allowed. That, as you can see, didn't include fish.

It was both a spur of moment and very carefully planned operation. A bud from the same floor had thrown their weed plantation as it failed miserably and their UV light just broke so they couldn't do their plan B - tomatoes. So I asked them if they could keep the aquarium until I will be able to bring a surprise.

I don't remember anymore what type of fish I bought. Most of the money went for ornaments, filter, lighting and food. But I was very determined about it and during the time Coda had to go away to his family, I've prepared everything.

Next year, the rules got changed and no animal was allowed. We tried to hide it once before the visitation and... Well. Let's say it didn't work but the fish survived that. Unfortunately, not for a long time but still, I'd say we were successful.

Carter House is a National Historic Landmark, and it's open daily. The Cartersville Historical Society Museum is located on the grounds of the Carter House, and you can also find them at the Cartersville Plantation Living History Village.
