Suspect / Character Chart Update:

Nobody:

So this week’s episode moved us off the path of Nuth as he claimed that Nant committed suicide - including some possible flashbacks of the body. This moves my Nobody theory - specifically Nobody: Theory A into sus rank 1.

Do I believe that Nant committed suicide tho? No I’m not convinced yet. I do think he’d have a lot of reasons for suicide - which I pointed out the first time I posted - but there’s so many questions left with that option. Where’s the body? Did nuth hide it? Why? What about a suicide note - not everyone leaves one but it seems strange of Nant in particular to not want to get out to his brother what he’d never been able to say while living.

I do think this does move up other aspects of the Nobody theory tho - they confirmed debt collectors so maybe Nant faked his death & went into hiding, or they harmed him. We still have the possibility of psychological break & Nont and Nant being the same person who just suffered a traumatic experience or drug usage that caused a break in his psyche - I still don’t want this the most but I can see it being this cause it is the safer route to end us off with.

Nuth:

Nuth has moved down in the ranks to the number 2 spot. Hes not lower because while he claims that Nant ruined his life and committed suicide all of his flashbacks of Nant so far hasn’t shown Nant be violent or harmful towards him. He’s pictured supportive, sexualized, and a hurt Nant. That’s not to say Nant couldn’t have harmed him or even made his life worse - it’s just a possibility that Nuth isn’t a reliable source even his flashbacks. We’ve seen him have hallucinations so it’s difficult to say what he recalls or sees as 100 proof of things happening or have happened.

Also…did they ever tell us what the bloody hand print was from… If Nant was selling drugs to pay his debt is it the same ppl Nuth is selling for? Theres also these lines or cages placed over Nuth sometimes and I’m not sure if it’s metaphor for criminality or a metaphor for how trapped he feels. There’s still one of two threads they can pull and circle back around to it being Nuth so he stays on the list.

Prom:

It’s still all vibes no evidence. He doesn’t slip, he doesn’t miss. He’s almost the perfect specimen partner wise in the sense that he has an ability to read Nont in a way no other does. He’s not overbearing, or controlling. He doesn’t try to change Nont’s mind after boundaries are set. Anything Nont says he needs or wants, Prom goes along with - an active supporter (plotting, research, giving him the weapon). But that’s the thing, Nont is more honest with him than he is with any other characters - and he has to see the frayed edges but he doesn’t pull Nont back at all. He enables…he’s supporting his descent.

The question I’m lost on is why. Maybe it’s empathy, relatability- I too am sadistic in my way, I too have rage, I wanna kill someone - and because he’s so good at repressing he admires & desires Nont who doesn’t repress who just acts and reacts. And this is what makes them revenge lovers.

But there’s still always that niggle at my brain that reminds me that Prom inserted himself and then had had influence over the case ever since. The show is always highlighting something off when Prom is in the mix - the music change, the aesthetic of the room, the way they position his def in scenes at the Playboyy with Aob & Puen (which I’m sure is to show us how he’s a source that benefits from the competing nature). He still feels like an invisible hand, still feels like he’s playing chess and seeing moves ahead of his lover. There’s so much mystery surrounding him still that’s it’s difficult to move him off the suspect board.

Porsche:

I still can’t tie Porsche into his death so he stays at number 4 ranking but I still wonder if his sugar daddy had anything to do with Nant that would’ve set them into a competitive nature for his resources and therefore enemies…that’s my mind working theories from what the story has given us thus far tho.

Welp.

My theory right now is that Zouey's nude modeling exhibit will take place in Jason's Playboyy Lounge instead of Jason's office.

Because apparently if you go all-in and dick-out in between paper and conference rooms you will attract only half as much customers as if you let that happen in a room full of people who are just waiting to provide you with a massage deluxxe or chew the popcorn off of you (I am so sorry for putting this picture out there again but at the same time... no. I am not XD)

And I'm ignoring how illogical that might be.

Why?

Because my brain is just finding it way too funny to imagine Aob strutting into the lounge, with popping boobs, a shirt thats holding on for dear life and one gun too much in his pants, just looking around, taking in all the scared faces...

And then proudly announcing to everyone that they're rid of the horrible customer. For good. He will never visit again. No permission for him to enter the lounge, like no, never, because HE, Aob took PERSONALLY care of it because he is just THAT fancy and badass- (btw, please look over here Puen, please, look at my flexing tiddies and muscle-ing muscles, Puen baby, please look, 'm doin that for you baby, don't be mad anymore, please-)

Only for the full slut gang, including First with a cleavage that reaches all the way down to Australia, to show up in their foyer less than 10 minutes later, with top permission from the boss himself.

I want to see the reactions of the guys working there, when they are faced with:

1. The guy, who managed to tie down one of the ex-Playboyys working here, some heared he did it even without sex in the beginning, like HOW??? This man has Mr. Sex-o-beat on command and painted his whole world pink!

2. *static noises* *internal screams* *someone runs to grab a bottle of lube, while shaking and gasping* *one worker hides behind a curtain while whisper goes around that this guy had something with Jason's new guard dog and that Soong went on his knees for him*

3. The guy, who had a very stylish, but very loud and rude meltdown in the middle of their work routine before he got carried away by the fucking second in command of the whole lounge??? Someone swear they saw him putting Prom on a leash, more at 11

And 4. Yeah, okay, in theory we have nothin- oh... wait. What did you say Gary? You saw him threatening the number 1 guy Puen with a baseball bat and intentions of death? And then kiss him on the lips "The Godfather"-style? Powder me in sugar and call me a donut, why am NOT surprised?????

All in all... I might start praying for the sanity of the guys working at Playboyy. Because lordy, lordy, help that poor son of a gun who gets the task to show them around... they are totally nice, sweet guys but... i will pray for you.

I've been having dreams about sleeping with Nont and Nant at the same time. The disturbing thing isn't that I see Nant as Nont, but that I'm starting to forget Nant's face. Because they're so alike that I can't tell them apart.

Right now I feel like I like Nont more than Nant.

Playboyy Wild Ass Theory

This is truly the wildest ass theory I have ever had.

TLWR: The twins' dad is the sugar daddy and the housekeeper is going to be blamed.

I 100% KNOW Soong didn't do it.

My boy is innocent!

I knew that tape would come back to haunt Soong, and I liked that it came in the episode about people's sex tapes being leaked, even if the sex was consensual because the dad trying to force Soong into leaving his son by using that tape against him was disgusting.

The dad had that to hang over Soong's head, which Soong shrugged off, but whatever else the dad had on Soong has him pressed, and like I've mentioned before, I think Soong was the dog in the film.

I think the harness is in the perfect spot to cover up his tattoo.

I KNOW Soong did not kill anybody, but he also had a flashback to homeboy crying on his couch when First was crying.

I think this mysterious sugar daddy gave Soong good $$$ to film more sexually aggressive films,

but something happened that made the deal go south which is why the guys left the Playboyy Club since the transaction *should* be simple: sex = money . . .

Which is why I think Nuth is still lying since he is the only filmmaker on the roster who could've shot those films.

As @scarefox and @slonekaru mention in their post, all roads lead to this sugar daddy because we have been told he is very possessive and violent,

Which is why I think Soong is running scared instead of just simply breaking up with First.

And even though Prom had a dream about a body being found in a forest, which would later become a reality, this might be why Prom was in the hotel video since we know his life is being funded by this sugar daddy as well, so he might have tasked Prom with cleaning up a mess.

We've gone nine episodes hearing whispers of this sugar daddy, but I think we've heard more than whispers.

But how could Porsche not know his sugar daddy is his roommate's dad? How could Prom not know who his sex buddy's dad is? Because they DO know who he is!

Each episode begins with news highlighting sexual violence and a good portion of the cases have focused on people in power abusing their authority to either shame sex workers or sexually harm others as well as government officials being blackmailed for having sex in public restrooms or via webcam, parents forcing their children into sex work, and housekeepers being framed for murder.

All are interesting cases, but that last one is the most intriguing.

So like I wrote at the beginning, I think the twins' dad is the sugar daddy and this mysterious housekeeper is going to take the blame because if the dad is pissed about his sugar babies looking at other men, how livid would he be if he found out his own son was involved in sex work?

It seems wild, which is why it is my wildest ass theory yet, but what I do know, without a doubt, is my boy Soong is innocent. I know it doesn't look good for him right now.

But I would bet mine and his life on it.

Let's hope the narrative doesn't demand payment.

What if Porsche’s sugar daddy is also the guy Nuth was asking to borrow money from? He called someone asking for to pay for getting Phop to help make his video. Could that have been the revealed sugar daddy?

If so, what is the connection between them. Drugs? Is the man getting Nuth to sell drugs? Does he know Nuth maybe have killed Nant?

I'm delulu so here's how we can still win (Nant is alive):

Besides that after credit scene, we didn't see Nant's body;

We didn't see anything about the funeral;

His parents are powerful people trying to bring down a powerful man, so they have secret connections everywhere (e.g. Tutor);

Maybe they pulled a Charlie and bribed everyone to make it look like Nant was dead;

Maybe they had to publicly kill Nant so that these powerful people allied with Jason Lee wouldn't go after Nont. I mean, Nant disappeared for months and then showed up dead after his brother found some clues?? Why keep him alive for so long just to kill him in the end??

Saw a post here that I can't find anymore saying that maybe Nant was pretending the whole time because he was doing some investigative journalism as well, that's why a folder for Tutor and all. Maybe he wasn't captured, maybe he was hiding and shit.

The first page is relationship lines & the mystery arc notes for the each group. The rest are my suspect theories.

These charts will likely drastically change as we go along.

NUTH: Is the obvious choice because he's the character the writers are pointing all the obvious clues and behavioral tendencies at. It makes it feel too easy. Granted - I know it feels too early to reveal the killer (if there is one) at this point but it’s not unheard of for a writer to reveal the killer early if there’s another aspect they want the audience to focus on (the kdrama Beyond Evil is a great example of this). He could be a lower level lackey (secondary) in the killing or he could actually be an all out red herring.

PROM: I look at Prom through 2 separate theories - the one where he’s on a revenge arc & this one where he’s the killer. The thing about Prom is he’s incredibly sus, there’s so much mystery around him, he’s so measured in how he speaks, what he holds back & he always feels like he’s in the know ahead of Nont.

Even if he’s not the killer it feels like he’s hiding something of great importance or has his own motives going on. The way he interacts with Nont comes off as if he knew about him before he revealed himself. Let’s take the wine for example - when he offers Nont wine in the room he says it’s cause he thought he’d changed enough for wine…but he also offered Nont wine the very first night they got together at Playboyy - and this was intention cause he himself was drinking brown liquor but gave Nont wine rather than beer (which is what Nant) likes. - he’s NEVER offered Nont beer. So it wasn’t due to a shift after Nont started acting differently than Nant around him. He inserted himself into the investigation and then started to lead the investigation from behind by pointing Nont in the direction he thinks he should go.

Where I lose confidence in this theory is in the motive. I doubt he would’ve killed Nant in a possessive rage the way Nuth might have - he’s too calculated & represses his emotions. Even with that bout of jealousy with Nont he didn’t push the issue, instead he revamped excused affection instead. Prom seems to be the type that finds a way to do what he wants no matter what others may have wanted. There’s a possible drug connection- through sell rather than through use. Again there’s the intones of the invisible force, the behind the scenes mover and I could very well see that being Prom. It seems like a lot of guys in Playboyys are on drugs but would Prom really need to push drugs if he’s the Host of the club? His need for it is what I question right now rather than his ability to push it.

There’s always a question for every answer and maybe that’s why I have two separate theories about Prom & don’t feel fully comfortable yet saying which I think is more correct.

NOBODY: There is obviously a possibly that there is no killer, that Nant wasn’t killed by another. There’s the possibility of suicide - Nant had been under a lot of extreme pressure and lack a good support system. Mental disorder (split personality) - this one is rather popular but I have trouble wrapping my brain around the photo of the twins cause it would mean dying his hair, taking a photo and then photoshopping two pics together…just feels like there’d have to be some level consciousness for that. Or Nant could b hiding out, on the run, from a debtor - considering he was supposedly on drugs and had a previous issue (with Soong) it’s possible.

PORSCHE: This is probably my loosest theory built mostly from the bias I have against Porsche. I don’t know what is but I don’t trust him, I don’t like him. But all his violent and brattiness could boil down to an inferiority complex rather than murder and I know that but he still makes the cut cause everything about him rubs me wrong and I wouldn’t mind him be the bad guy (def if it’s in the stead of Prom 😭)

Nuth, nope.

I echo @ppeonppeonhan post, and don't trust Nuth AT ALL anymore. I was willing to trust him. I really was. And a small part of me still is.... But. There's something wrong.

Not only in his stories, but above all, in how he portrays Nant.

Let's look at the facts i gathered in between breaks and working hours:

Who all had flashbacks with Nant or contact with him?

Soong (when he raped and attacked Nant),

Teena (when he saved Nant from Soong),

Jump (got a bj from Nant, more on that later),

Prom (of course),

The baddie bunch (Zouey, Captain, Porsche, First)

and Nuth

Did I forget anyone? I don't think so.

So, because I am insufferable, let's go through these flashbacks and pay attention to how Nant is described.

Soong:

Nant was on drugs/alcohol,

they slept together (without consent)

aaaaaaand Nant stole Soong's drugs. Bad idea in general. (Side note, what's up with that? Was this an attempt by Nant to retrieve the discarded drugs?)

Welp, anyway, Soong got angry.

Nant was crying, he was panicked, he was scared. And here lies a nice underpoint:

! He didn't even try to fight Soong. He was freaking out, but not aggressive. He was fucking desperate !

Teena:

Held Nant in his arms to protect him from Soong.

Nant clung to him, still full of panic and fear.

! He tried to find protection with Teena instead of attacking or freaking out himself !

He clung to the first thing that promised safety, no matter how foolish it may have seemed at this moment (bc fr, if one guy is beating you up, there is no guarantee that his flatmate/friends are not the same brand of asshole)

Jump:

Encountered Nant in the same situation as Teena and Soong (he hold Soong back)

BUT then one more time where they had sex or at least oral sex since he commented on Nonts bj skills at the party as "Twins are just so fucking identical"

(side note: could this be the point he brought up with Porsche? About not wanting to get in anyone's sugar daddy's way?)

Okay, but to get things straight ('cause these guys ain't):

! Jump encountered Nont without flinching or faltering, suggesting that at least Nant didn't bite him in the dick ! (still, very little is known about the encounter of these two)

Prom:

Confirmed to Nont that Nant loved aftercare, so mostly the cuddling and hugging and talking afterwards.

He also told Nont that Nant never became violent or manipulative towards him.

! Further evidence for the statement is that Prom was very shocked when Nont took out the knife in their first scene. So SM contractually, injuries are also taboo. !

The baddie bunch:

They liked Nont.

They were worried about him, missed him. (Btw does Zouey just strike me as having a damn guilty conscience?)

Captain took advantage of Nant, yes, but none of them seem to have had an active fight.

! They were more shocked at Nant's hurtful behavior when Nont had acted him out. !

So. After this long text, a little brain training, what impression do we have of Nant?

=> He's solid as a soft-boiled spaghetti and seems to have the aggressiveness of a teddy bear.

Except with Nuth.

Only with Nuth does he seem to have been violent.

And that makes me wonder, is that true?

Is the scar really from Nant loosing himself and stabbing Nuth?

Or would it make more sense, if Nuth himself held the knife and confronted Nant about sleeping with other people, like in the dream frequence with Phop we saw already?

That Nant tried to avoid Nuth with the knife and ending up stabbing him on accident? And this ending in Nant apologizing in his "suicide"-video, because he felt guilty for it?

So yeah, lots of more questions than answers but still... Nuth you are yet to come clean my bro.

Since my brain is rotten with Playboyy and yours is rotten with color, I have a question about their backpacks:

We have stablished that Zouey is a yellow yal, and First seems to be a blue boy (doesn't surprise me by his character description), but both Captain and Porsche's backpacks are black and I refuse to believe that those two are black brooders...

You think their are hiding their colors from us so we keep being suspicious of them or maybe is a way to visually distinguish the people the narrative (Nont) can already trust (Zouey and First) from the ones they shouldn't?

Maybe I'm just going insane waiting, that could also be...

I don't think Captain and Porsche are Black Brooders

I don't think one of them is hiding his colors

I don't think First is blue, not yet at least

I think we will get more colors as the mystery unfolds

I got a wild ass theory

The first episode focused on Zouey and First.

Yet the only one I feel confident about is Zouey being yellow.

First might be blue, but his colors were kinda wonky because he has the blue backpack yet was mostly in black, and next week he'll be in red.

We didn't get to see that much of Captain and Porsche, so I'm thinking with such a large cast, we are getting different perspectives from each of the characters for the first few episodes.

But in the first episode, Porsche wore blue and brown.

And Captain wore blue too.

Captain has a red phone. Porsche has a brown one.

And the drinks on the table were yellow, red, and brown.

My guesses based solely on the first episode: Porsche is brown, Captain is red (masquerading as blue for *reasons*), First is black, and Zouey is yellow. This is all subject to change since we only had one episode, and I think Captain's anger issues will show his true colors.

But that's not my wild ass theory.

My wild ass theory is Playboyy is Only Friends. Well, what I wanted it to be.

The writer for both shows, Den, already established that Playboyy is everything he couldn't do in Only Friends. You wrote about it as well, and I think you mentioned that Zouey and Teena were very Mew and Top shaped.

And before Only Friends started, I had A LOT of wild ass theories like:

Yes, I thought Top was a sex worker who Boston paid to "relieve" Mew of his virginity.

If Zouey, the virgin, is Mew and Teena, a former sex worker, is Top, could my wild ass theory have actually come too soon (hehe)?

This is why this theory is wild - Teena showed up in brown, and another person who wears brown seemed kinda pissed when Zouey called him a bad friend and told him his desire for all his friends to be as sexual as him is what pushed Nun(t) away.

And Porsche with his brown phone already paid someone else to have sex with Zouey.

So why wouldn't he do it again? Especially after Zouey said Porsche was the problem.

Because he was filming Zouey being manhandled.

And he held First back from trying to approach Teena.

He was also very pleased that Teena approached Zouey.

Brown denotes boredom, isolation, and loneliness, so . . .

You know what? Nevermind!

This makes sense only in my head.
