Let’s Take a Picture Together!
Rivetra. Dating Show AU.
Let’s Fall in Love! series: Part i || ii
1815 words.
Buy me a ko-fi!
Levi doesn’t squirm under the constant gaze of camera lenses anymore, but he admits that it’s always a relief once they’re finished wrapping an episode of Let’s Fall in Love! A month earlier, he would have booked it back to his dressing room immediately, glad to be rid of this crew that’s constantly hovering around him. Mostly, though, he sought to escape having to be around Petra Ral, the lead singer of rising pop band the Scouting Legion and the celebrity he had happened been paired with for this stupid reality TV show. However, he’s found that he’s grown fond of her in the past month that he’s gotten to know her during filming, oftentimes lingering behind her even after the cameras have turned off and the rest of the film crew has returned to the studio.
“That was fun,” Petra says, happily swinging the bag that she holds. Inside is a vinyl record of No Name’s latest album signed by Levi, the lead singer. It was a birthday gift for Auruo, the Scouting Legion’s bassist. Finding the perfect birthday gift for Petra’s friend was a bit odd, Levi thought. It would have been more fitting to go on one of those coffee dates they had during the first few episodes, but the film crew seemed very pleased with the footage they were able to capture to do, and Petra no doubt had fun teasing Levi with the embarrassing album covers of his band’s first few records. “Maybe I should have bought something too. Should I go back and buy Dedicate Your Hearts?”
“You could, but I’m not signing that for you,” Levi says, cringing as he remembers that angsty punk rock phase he and his band had been through during the release of their second album. Why did they ever think that too much hair gel and tight leather pants looked cool? He’s so glad that they could take more artistic album photos – just their silhouettes against an atmospheric background rather than a close-up on their brooding faces – instead of having to do those ridiculous photo shoots.
“Aw, how mean,” Petra pouts.
“I already bought that record for you, so don’t whine,” he tells her.
“I guess that’s true. Auruo’s going to freak when he sees this,” Petra giggles. She takes another peek inside the bag, smiling even wider when she sees Levi’s neat handwriting on the top corner of the record. Looping her arm through his, she grins over at him and asks, “Hey, want to grab dinner together? There’s this Korean barbecue place downtown that I wanted to try out ever since I came here.”
“Sounds good,” Levi says without hesitating. It’s partly because he’s been waiting for a chance to catch dinner with her, but it’s mostly because his attention is focused elsewhere. He stops walking for a minute, telling Petra, “Hold on a minute, will you?”
They stop in front of a trio of giggling girls that are probably in high school. Levi had noticed them awhile ago. A few minutes ago, the girls had been across the street, staring and pointing at him as they whispered to each other. Now, they’re right in front of him, their phones in their hands, eagerly bouncing down on the balls of their feet as they wait to be noticed by him. When he finally stops in front of them, they look as if they’re about to burst with joy, but that’s usual for most fangirls that Levi meets. He’s just thankful that they’re not the type to tackle him for a hug as soon as he looks their way.
“Hey,” Levi says reluctantly. He tries not to wince when one of the girls squeals. Normally, he doesn’t interact with fans unless he’s at an event, but he doesn’t want to appear rude in front of Petra. “Are you guys fans of mine?”
At his words, the girls collectively let out a huge shriek that nearly deafens him. Petra looks somewhat alarmed at their excitement, but she smiles at Levi and gestures at him to continue conversing with his fans.
“Absolutely! We’re such huge fans of No Name!” one girl says, stepping towards Levi. Like her friends, she wears a No Name t-shirt with a design that Levi recognizes from one of their previous tours. “We were wondering if we could have a picture with you?”
“Unless you’re…busy,” another girl says, glancing over at Petra. Levi doesn’t quite understand the expression that flashes across the faces of the three girls, but it vanishes too quickly for him to properly assess it.
“If it’s a few pictures, then it’s fine,” Levi says. He’s about to ask Petra if it’s okay, but he’s quickly pulled away from her before he can say anything. The first few pictures have him with a bewildered expression on his face, wondering how he was linking arms with Petra’s one second and strangers the next. Once he’s gotten over his initial confusion, he begins to realize that there’s something else strange. Pulling away, he calls over to Petra, who is standing awkwardly off to the side so as to not get in the way of the pictures. “Petra, why don’t you come take some photos with us?” He turns to the girls. “That’s fine, right? This is Petra from the Scouting Legion. Have you heard of them?”
The girls’ smiles falter, but their leader – a girl with hair dyed a blonde so light that it’s almost silver – regains her composure first. She tosses her short curls over her shoulder and looks at Petra with a haughty expression. “Sure, we know her, but we’re not exactly fans,” she says to Levi, giggling.
“Yeah, her band is pretty good,” another girl admits with a shrug, but she casts a disapproving frown at Petra. “But it’s not as if her voice is that good. It’s a little annoying sometimes.”
Ah, now he realizes why he doesn’t talk with fans. There’s always the chance of running into people like these, people with absolutely no manners at all. It’s as if they don’t even realize that she’s right in front of them; they talk about her so casually, but they must know that their words are hurting her. After all, they keep glancing at the singer to observe her reaction.
Petra is surprisingly composed as the girls continue to speak ill of her, smiling through gritted teeth while her hands are clenched into fists by her side. Had she not been so calm, Levi would have snapped at the girls ages ago. Even though the words are not about him, hearing the girls speak so rudely about Petra makes his blood boil.
“How about I take the photos for you guys then?” Petra offers politely. She sets her bag carefully down on the ground beside her before holding out her hand. “It’ll be easier to get all of you guys in the shot then.”
The girls look at the woman skeptically, wondering why someone would offer to do them a kindness when they had just badmouthed her, but they hesitantly give up their phones to her, not wanting to pass up the chance of capturing photos with Levi that aren’t selfies. Levi thinks that it’s clever, what Petra’s doing. Clearly, she’s taking their phones so she can throw them on the ground, smashing the glass screens under the heel of her shoe, but he’s surprised when actually begins to take photos of them. She’s even giving them a countdown, allowing the girls enough time between pictures to strike another pose. It’s infuriating how kind she is.
“Petra, let’s take a picture together,” he tells her, unable to wait any longer. He breaks free from the other girls, fishing his own phone from his back pocket.
The girls look confusedly at each other. The blonde laughs nervously, glancing at Petra who is looking at Levi with an equally confused look. “Um, we said we didn’t want a picture with her, remember?” she says.
“I know,” Levi says. He plucks their phones from Petra’s hands and returns them to the girls, who are looking more confused by the minute. “But I’m a fan of Petra’s, so I’d like a picture with her.” He turns again to Petra. “Let’s take a picture together, Petra.”
The girls look unhappily at the phone that Levi offers them. They pretend not to see it, running their fingers through their hair instead and staring at the sky. They mumble words about how it was great running into him, but they have something to do. Without saying anything else, they scurry off, one even shooting a scathing glare at Petra before they cross the street again. Tch. And they didn’t even bother to thank him for taking photos with them, but it’s not as if Levi expected them to have any manners at all after everything that had happened.
After a moment, Petra lets out a sigh of relief. “Thanks for that, but you didn’t need to do that,” Petra laughs, picking up her bag. She pauses for a moment and then looks at Levi. Quietly, she says, “I’m glad you did though.”
He shrugs her off, not one to accept words of kindness or gratitude easily. He holds out his phone at arm’s length and gestures for her to scoot in closer to him. “Hurry up so we can take the picture.”
“You still want the picture?” she asks, surprised.
“Yes, now come on,” he mumbles. “Or we’ll never get dinner.”
She happily takes her place next to him, throwing up her fingers in a V as she smiles at the camera. It comes out quite nice, Levi thinks, considering he was so nervous standing next to her that he almost dropped his phone as he was taking the picture. Even Petra thinks it’s a good photo, humming happily when she leans over to take a peek.
“Hey, you’re actually smiling in this one,” Petra says with a laugh. “You didn’t smile in the other ones.” She looks at him again, beaming. Any tension that she had during the encounter with the girls only a few minutes ago has completely vanished. “Do you think you could send me that picture?”
“Of course,” he says, surprised. He’ll send it to her right after he gets back to his hotel room, he says to himself, making a mental note.
She loops her arm through his once more, chattering happily about how they should get dinner now before it gets too crowded. Levi nods along, occasionally speaking when she pauses to hear his answer, but he’s not listening, not really. As they walk together, Levi pulls out his phone to glance at the screen, unlocking it to briefly look at the photo he had just taken, and he wonders if it would be okay to use it as his home screen.

BTS Analysis Part 4: Fake Love
Hey! I’m so in love with the new album. Heavy rotation 24/7. As you can tell, this is the fourth installment of my analysis series. I’ve stated in the past to keep in mind I’m not much of a theorist, I’m just really talking about things I noticed and what certain symbolism might mean. I will link the Part 3 about Singularity post here since I’ll probably reference back to it:
BTS Analysis Part 3: Singularity
This is my first comeback as an ARMY, so when I tell you I was so hype that it hurt I am telling the truth. I am so beyond blown away, I’m not sure if any of this is about to make sense. This gif explains what was going on in my mind while watching Fake Love.
Tumblr media
First, I’ll talk about Fake Love Teaser 1. In the teaser we got call backs to Wings and the Love Yourself Highlight Reels. The boys come in to exchange their fears for a positive so to say. If I had to take an educated guess, based on album notes I’d say Yoongi handed in a piano key. That would leave our intertwined characters. We don’t what Jin was given, if anything. We don’t know what V exchanged. Jungkook never gave over anything, but received a key in return.
Tumblr media
When I went back to the highlight reels to research part of the narration really stuck out to me: “Looking back, I had known all along that underneath the glittering world before my eyes lay my deception, that everything was to collapse with a breath of wind. I turned away, I’d side stepped, simply closed my eyes. Afraid I was, afraid to be loved for who I am.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fake Love opens with our Smeraldo flower being protected. Very Beauty and the Beast. This is the untold truth that Jin has been asked about. Jin is alone in the room with this untold truth, looking through the window. We see him closing the curtain, and this is followed with doors being shut on Jungkook, leaving him in darkness. Could Jin trying to be shut him out of the truth? Is Jungkook sacrificing himself to be like the child of Omelas? I personally don’t think that Jin knows that Jungkook is looking into his window.
I’m not sure what else we’ll see, but I think it’s safe to say that Jungkook has entered Jin and V’s tangled web.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the background of this scene. It reflects the choreography, it brings me back to BS&T, AND kind of looks like a variant of “hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil”. They consistently cover their eyes, mouth, or ears during the choreography in the music video. It’s a quick and easy way to convey the mental anguish and struggle within the song. There are a couple other choreography cues that I will refer to later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’d like to get the color theory part of my explanation out of the way here. If you look at the scenes, they range from a plain almost sepia look to a psychedelic technicolor adjacent style. I think this is because we are passing the euphoric fated love of DNA and into the breaking point in Fake Love. The vibrant colors evoke a feeling of being in a dreamlike wonderland while the faded pastels/sepia tones give specific points of focus. We are being guided into their inner darkness. There is a lot to say for muted tones reflecting the mental state of the characters in a film. What comes to mind for me are films like: “Girl, Interrupted”, “Taxi Driver”, and “Fight Club”. Please note, all these examples have a plot that revolve around psychological themes.
Going back to the first teaser, I’ll explain why I don’t think Jin is aware that Jungkook was watching him through one of his windows. When Jungkook got to the magic shop (styled as a confessional if you noticed) it wasn’t by his choice. He is the only member that really seems to be pushed in. He also doesn’t have anything to exchange on him, but he is given a key. Keys are a symbol of of opening and closing things of course. It can be used to lock something away or set something free. Keys also give us a feeling of security.
However, looking past the keys for a second I wanted to pose the question of if this seems a little like a nod to Pandora’s box to anyone else? Pandora’s box is a Greek myth that essentially has grown to mean getting into a situation that involves big and unexpected troubles. Older more detailed texts explain it as Pandora opening a jar that released sickness, death, and many other evils into the world. Pandora tried to quickly close the jar, but when she did so the only thing she kept in the jar was a flicker of hope. It was meant to be a way to explain why bad things happen in the world.  Jungkook had no idea what troubles he is going to see moving forward. Is the key the last bit of hope to uncovering the truth and setting everyone free? Since he came empty handed will he be the traded object for everyone else to gain peace?
Tumblr media
Alright, from here we start diving deeper into the member’s individual fears. We’ve seen Jin trying to change the outcome of member’s story lines in Euphoria by looking through windows. I think this scene reflects Jin’s fear that some of these things might remain out of his control. There is only so much tampering that can be done, and not only is it stressful to not know if what you’ve changed is right, it’s hard to predict if your moves will make everything fall apart. In the center of it all, is the untold truth. Would it have been easier to face this truth if it was going to come to this anyway?
Tumblr media
RM’s scene contains rings and a mirror. The mirror comes from his song Reflection and writing “you need to survive” on the glass. The rings clearly resemble the hand grips that you would see passengers holding onto when standing on a bus. He is still caught between his old self, and the attraction to the girl on the bus in the Love Yourself Highlight Reel. It doesn’t matter how much he likes her. If he can’t accept himself, then it won’t last. The cinematography of Fake Love also flips between of nice parallel lines and then “dutch angles”. A dutch angle is a technique of tilting the camera so none of the angles in the scene are parallel with the bottom of the screen and is used to show psychological unrest/heavy tension in a scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
J-Hope is locked in a room full of childish carnival themed props. If you go back in his story line you will find that his mother abandoned him as a child, only leaving him with a Snickers bar. As the music video goes on, we see Snickers bars falling coming through around where the key hole would be and eventually filling up most of the room. That is a very traumatic experience and of course it would result in some type of fear of abandonment. I’ve seen most people saying that the fake love for J-Hope is from his mother, and I think that’s very interesting. Side note that doesn’t really have much to do with anything in particular, but we’ve really entered a time where carnival gear like this is really haunting. Part of that for me is because I always relate carnivals to “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allan Poe. Although maybe I actually have something there. As with Poe’s short story, there’s no way to know if Jungkook isn’t leading himself to his own doom. Our setting certainly is one of a type of madness after all. Okay, off this tangent, I’m just a Poe fan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungkook has moved on from J-Hope’s scene to Jimin. We can see that he’s in the studio from the Love Yourself Highlight Reel. If you look even closer, the wall he’s in front of is his paradise picture of the trees. I also thought it was interesting that Jimin is interacting with a sink here. I looked up the symbolism for this one, and in dreams it is said that sinks show how our feelings are retained and turned on and off. A bathroom sink in particular signifies a personal desire to be more intimate and revealing of yourself. I spoke about the symbolism of water in Part 3 for Singularity. If we pair those ideas with the sink symbolism, essentially his emotions have been pent up for too long and will come rushing forward in an overwhelming way. I also recognize that this nods back to the time where Jimin was by himself in the bathtub or in the fish tank in the case of the Japanese version of songs. I also talked about in my Part 2 for Euphoria how he’s been left on his own in the hospital. Jimin has no feeling of freedom there, and the person he was closest to (J-Hope) has also left now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungkook rises from this scene, and once again he and Jin’s movements mirror each other like they did in Euphoria. We also get a glimpse of the object Jin was protecting that held the Smeraldo flower. The flower has turned to sand. Sand is often a symbol meaning the passage of time, but it can also mean eventual destruction or elude to moments that are easily wiped away. Have we already seen the untold truth? Does it mean that everything is already falling apart? Maybe it’s a reference to Jin’s ability to alter things and that this too is just a moment that will be wiped away and changed?
Tumblr media
I’d also like to note that the closer Jungkook gets to his destination, the harder it is for him. This is a case of dutch angles being used to build tension in a scene. I also want to take a moment to note the pattern on the floor. This pattern is definitely from the DNA MV just based on the color choices and style. We see it in the hallway Jungkook runs down, and on the floor in Jimin and J-Hope’s sections of Fake Love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From there we are brought into V’s scene. He is in this sort of tunnel hallway that is full of phones and empty pictures frames on the walls, but the back wall says “save me”. I saw somewhere that black picture frames symbolize an obsession of being perfect or a fear of not being perfect. I just think that’s an interesting tidbit of info, not sure it really sways the story line in any direction nor gives us much we didn’t already expect.
V is holding a phone, which calls back (pun intended, please insert a windshield wiper laugh here) to the moment that he was trying to get a hold of RM who couldn’t answer the phone. The hallway is then lit up by the phones twinkling all around him. I’m guessing this is just exaggerating his fear of the call not going through by showing all the phones malfunctioning.
It might be a reach, but I want to point out that these types of archways remind me of trains, as does the railing to the sides. In Spring Day, V was shown first at the train station.
I want to bring up Jimin a little here as well. Since the boys are exchanging their fears for something positive in the magic shop, I didn’t quite understand why Jimin got the umbrella. I know it shows up in the Highlight Reels, but that didn’t feel to me like a hopeful moment. No matter what Jimin does, he is always getting wet, and the umbrella has never protected him from water/his emotions. I honestly expected him to get a phone because that’s what he used to record J-Hope and the other girl’s practices to recreate the dances. It’s even mentioned in his album notes. Does it mean that no matter the outcome, Jimin is always at a disadvantage? Let me know what you think.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is a moment where we cut back to RM, and Jungkook is on the other side of the mirror mimicking his movements. This isn’t the first time Jungkook acted as a mirror, in the choreography he also follows J-Hope’s movements during his segment.  This will eventually bring us to Suga. In his scene, he has a piano and a guitar in the room. The piano dates back through Wings, and the guitar has to do with the girl that gave him the lollipop. There is a lot about piano between Jungkook and Suga’s notes, and of course their story lines are intertwined throughout the music videos. There comes a point where Suga sets fire to his hotel room, but in Euphoria Jin sent Jungkook to save him.
Fire is often linked to power and passion. Fire has the ability to cause both destruction and transformation. Much like water, it’s symbolism is pretty straight forward.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now we’re at the part I wanted to bring up the choreography again. I talked about this for the Singularity analysis, and I see it here as well. The movements they are making are very much like puppetry. The arm movements when they step out side to side with their hands down is certainly like they are being controlled by string. I think it’s interesting that Jin is in the center here and they move according to his hand movements on either side of him as well.
Tumblr media
Jungkook is almost at his destination now, this room is very peaceful despite the events that have been going on. I’ll bring up here that the only members that have had contact/reference with sand in this MV are Jin, V, and Jungkook. I’d like to expand the idea that sand is also a symbol that might mean the foundation you stand on is unstable. The basis of the way you think etc might not be set in reality, and something that you have buried in your subconscious is moving forward. The smeraldo has already turned to sand, but when Jungkook lets it spill from his hand there are remnants of the petals in the shadows on the wall.
I call this part opening The Chamber of Secrets (I mean he probably knows parseltongue, he is the golden maknae). This is the point where everything begins to come foward: water, fire, snickers (lol).
He enters the room with the hooded figure, who is standing in front of 6 coat racks (a nod to Singularity I’m sure). From there, we’re left unknowing what decisions will be made.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it’s clear enough to see that a tie of some kind has been broken. We’ve certainly gone from the members lacing all of their hands together in DNA to perform a wave to falling apart. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

What do you think of the Kanker's presence in Jingle Jingle Jangle? How is it different from their other appearances?
OKAY I FINALLY DID IT!  Step right up and see analysis of the Kankers’ parts of Jingle Jingle Jangle!  Only 3 or 4 weeks late!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First of all, in case I never analyze this special in full, I want to call out that this whole way of connecting the Eds’ A Plot to the Kankers’ B Plot is complete nonsense.... randomly discarded and forgotten flashlight + conveniently placed mirror = reflection of light pointed at the sky = Star of Bethlehem that uses Godlight to deliver sexual harassment to the main characters???  It is a purely visual idea, and what’s worse it seemingly has no meaning....  is it punishment for wasting a battery??  Then what was the point of the special’s other Chekhov’s lightbulb!?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Was that just a spiritual redemption, but not an escape from his punishment?
Is it punishment for breaking his parents’ trust?
Is it just to say the Kankers’ lives are sadder and this universe’s god prioritizes them above the Eds or anyone else?
Or is the Snow itself an entity, like the Static?  Both are terms to refer to television fuzz….
Is Evil Tim in control of the holidays, with all the magical Santas and Elves and Monsters that get to appear in these episodes???
The Snow is even the first thing to appear, in detailed close-up for one time, before the rest of the universe fades into existence, ushering Plank (and Jonny) into the digital era before the Eds OR the Kankers get to appear at all, and scenes where the snow is coming down are markedly more abstract and focused on the characters being quiet and internalizing their emotions.
Is supernature itself overwhelming the characters at will and leading them to cruel fates!?
Is the supersnow meant as a warning of the literal and figurative after-effects bound to invade any show switching to digital!?
SOMEBODY STOP ME!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The snow even just fades out when Eddy’s light starts glowing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m sorry to begin with a whole silly rant. It’s just that Christmas specials are normally the one episode of any show that can be counted on to let the main characters have a win.  The show was set to end with its stagnant nihilistic 4th season, so it was a miracle to get the holiday specials or digital era at all...  So this Kanker ending stung more than usual.
That said, this special has won me over as an adult!  The series’ first foray into digital animation looks really gorgeous and it’s such a visually driven special, you can’t look away.   The animation is unfortunately a little better than the digital era could make consistent, but it’s close enough to feel like the same show as everything that came before and after it.  Definitely some of the most experimental style choices the show ever made. I’m always so glad the backgrounds are still hand-painted throughout Jingle Jingle Jangle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m fascinated by the way this star is clearly a digital effect, but at the same time it avoids being too high quality for EEnE by mostly looking like a dry brush (like when they do those paint-blurs when the characters move fast), and animating the star as white outlines with no color inside when they could easily do a real light effect is an interesting choice.  It captures the eery prettiness the star’s role demands without betraying the show’s sketchiness.
Tumblr media
I really like the music direction this whole special, but this opening to the Kankers’ Christmas is one of my favorite parts.  It is about a minute long and starts 2 and a half minutes into the special.
As we start hearing dialogue from Lee, the camera whips down to the trailer park and the Kankers’ theme music drums in.  This is the one time the show really made me aware the Kankers have a theme so now I always keep an ear out for that music cue.  I know it fills most of their appearances in Big Picture Show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Inside, the Kankers sit and squabble as always, playing with a box of Krazy Krackers.  Apparently Christmas Crackers are a more popular thing in the UK (the show had a lot of UK influence around this time, with Rachel Connor joining as head writer in the next season), but I think it’s been confirmed to be a Canadian thing too now.
Tumblr media
Room analysis!   The Kankers seem to have to make do when it comes to decorations… They have lights on the staircase and around the windows, and a cute wreathe with a red light on top of their TV, but their tree is a lone stick that has 7 branches if it’s lucky, it’s plugged into the wall yet the one light on it isn’t working, and most of the ornaments seem to be recyclables, barbed wire, or orbs that have fallen from the tree.  Oven mitts have been hung from the wall in place of stockings and rather than garland, they’ve trimmed their living room with chains, fishing lures and… are those shower curtain lines?
This is probably the most the show really gets across how big of an economic difference there is between the cul-de-sac and the trailer park.  The kids, even Ed and Eddy (unfortunately we see little of Edd’s family’s Christmas traditions), seem to have very gaudy and extravagant decorations, most of them appear to be expecting family or coworker Christmas parties later in the evening.  The Kankers’ trailer is sparse by comparison.
Tumblr media
Marie being the least cheery at Christmas is probably the most punk thing about her..
Tumblr media
Focusing Kanker scenes on May is pretty typical of this point in the series, but I like how infallibly nice May is in this one.  Marie tries to blow the Christmas cracker up in May’s face, and yet May barely reacts to the threat level here as anything out of the ordinary.  Then again, this scene likely exaggerates how much these things are like firecrackers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
May calls the cracker a dud, so of course Lee razzes her, “just like you, huh, May?”  This moment has a good undertone of Lee trying to readjust Marie’s negativity to more of a light ribbing, to fit the season.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
REALLY COOL DIGITAL DRYBRUSH EXPLOSION EFFECTS…
What’s the deal with this eyepatch on Marie though?  Is this just a “under the bangs” teaser gag like the one frame three-eyed Lee in BPS?  The artists don’t try nearly as hard to hide Marie’s full face as they do Lee’s….  Is it just an unexplained one-episode injury like Jimmy’s?
Tumblr media
so glad even the digital X-mas special gets inverted frames, one of the most interesting visual features of the series’ early episodes
Tumblr media
Good honest reactions of concern for May from Marie and Lee..
Tumblr media
WHAT IS THIS A HALLOWEEN SPECIAL!?
Tumblr media
“Look, Lee, May got a makeover~!”
….how desensitized have they become to slapstick!?  Sarah and Jimmy react to a similar gag with Eddy casually decapitating Ed next season with utter horror and confusion!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently the most important thing here is that Marie wasn’t left out of getting a crown.
Tumblr media
5 fingers on her right hand for one pose…
Tumblr media
Note that the Kankers have replaced their wall unit’s knick knacks with Christmas cards from their invisible friends and family!
 “Joy”
 “HAVE A XMAS”
“From Your Father” (please appreciate this rare acknowledgement of the likelihood of a preferred Kanker dad)
“Ho Ho Ho”
“Happy Kwanza” (also the one acknowledgment of other winter holidays in this Christmas special and I don’t think it’s even spelled correctly… I thought for sure at least JIMMY would celebrate Hanukkah or something…)
“[doodle of a candy cane]”
Tumblr media
“DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?”
one of this special’s many references to classic holiday staples, in this case the song, ‘Do You Hear What I Hear?’  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_You_Hear_What_I_Hear%3F
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Something twinkling in the sky!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This opening scene to their plot starts the Kankers off as unusually innocent and naive, seemingly motivated only by an attraction to light, like moths.  Lee even has to ask “where is it?” to which Marie correctly points out that May already said the star was in the sky.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be fair, Lee’s hair was blocking her eye, and we finally get to see her eye for the first time since season 1!
Tumblr media
I LOVE this little detail of Lee twirling her foot before skipping out of frame.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Marie rises, embarrassed to have been choked and dropped so carelessly.
Tumblr media
She tries to save face by telling May to come on.
Tumblr media
May’s Christmas cheer will not be defeated!
Tumblr media
She teases Marie by giving Marie the same “come on” command.
Tumblr media
Iconic!!  Doesn’t this shot kinda make you think of the night scenes in Disney’s Aladdin?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
10 minutes later, we get another minute of Kanker B-plot.  I don’t think any other episode ever gets this close to the super-geometric outline-eradicating Samurai-Jack-esque style Rod Filbrandt uses in concept art for his backgrounds..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Such background porn…  I’m really unsettled by the weird abandoned signs of life this God Light takes the Kankers to…  It’s like a trail of death leading to the Eds’ bad ending and the Kankers are too desensitized to pick up on that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee gives her sisters a quick glance as they approach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee and May unintentionally shut Marie out and she steps around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I’ll give them points for the “gold, frankincense and myrrh” = “mold, franks and cents, and fur” rhyme gag, but only because I wasn’t aware of that part of the nativity scene until this special aired.  I was 13 when this came out, which means I’d already done like 8 grades of Catholic school, how did they fail to make any impression on me!?   But honestly, that’s a weird punchline to try and use as a button on this bit.  And as much as I love the art in that montage, it seems like it would’ve worked even better as a mood-setting detail if they found each gift separately between each house Eddy visited.
Tumblr media
“What the heck is it?“  Pretty sure her mouth colors are mismatched.
Tumblr media
“It’s a sign, stupid.“   Touching.
Tumblr media
I love when they all look up in unison.
Tumblr media
They look more confused as they walk away.
Tumblr media
I’m really interested in how extra moody Marie seems in this montage.  I also noticed that their frostbitten walk through the snow seems to be slightly foreshadowing of the walk Eddy goes on in the climax.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a really iconic shot and camera direction for me too, and it’s the one appearance of the junkyard at night in the whole show (as a setting, there’s at least one episode that shows it from overhead at night).  It’s also one of like 3 uses of the junkyard as a setting in the digital era.  And here you can barely even recognize it under the snow.  Still looks great, though!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are SO introspective over this star… what are they contemplating?  Should we retroactively assume they’re regretting their situations with the Eds post-Fistful, or accept that this special wasn’t made in chronological order and think of something less specific, like family troubles or… just not thinking anything particular at all???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lee and May stare dumbfounded at their lost-in-thought sister.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Very cute Maries.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love that unoutlined background pipe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This glow effect seems.. broken.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“weiners and pennies!?“
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wait…  …Are you kidding me?  I just noticed that May and Marie are each wearing one half of the same pair of gloves and the same pair of mittens….
Tumblr media
Oooh look at this goregous postcard-ready background of the construction site!  The construction site only has one other night scene I can think of that isn’t just an overhead shot, and it’s only one shot of Ed running there to grab a cement mixer during his fight with Nazz in Boo Haw Haw.
Tumblr media
I really love how these gradient-silhouettes with blobby purple outlines look.  Their progression through the show’s locations reminds me of the EEnE video games (mainly Jawbreakers! for the GBA because that was the only game they had at this time)…  I think they also used this silhouette style for the kids on the Scam of the Century DS game cover.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i love EEnE vehiclessssss
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love wondering whose coat this is and why it’s been left here…  Also, do the rust and torn seat imply this construction site is officially abandoned? Or is this one of only a few vehicles that got left behind right before Christmas break and is now being ravaged by the elements?
Tumblr media
This frame always makes me yearn for a future where Lee is a construction worker. Or demolition!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s a coat.  Come on, we’re getting close.“  Oh sure fine, makes sense to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We then cut one street over to Eddy in Plot A, where it isn’t snowing, reinforcing the idea that the Kanker’s story is not chronologically synced up to Eddy’s story.
Anyway, another 10 minutes later, we get a final Kanker scene!
Tumblr media
The Snow is strong enough to smack Eddy with a door (UNINTENTIONAL BRO FORESHADOWING?).  Eddy is also not very good at boarding a door, apparently.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On a scale of 1-10, how blasphemous is this shot?
Tumblr media
The Snow encroaches upon the Eds
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Could it be!?  Three kings who have traveled afar!?“
How serious is that question, Edd.... why would there be three real-ass monarchs in Rolf’s shed in the middle of an American blizzard???
I feel real weird about Edd being so religious in this episode, it’s too soon after season 4 made such a point of Edd not believing in things that cannot be proven…
I like that the special is religious.  As agnostic as Catholic school made me, Christmas specials that get sentimental about the Christian traditions get the most nostalgia out of me.  But this special and series clearly revels in sin and hopelessness, so I found it kind of jarring how much of this special lets the Bible references be played straight.  Making Edd super religious just so he can continue to be fanserviced as an angel felt a little cheap, and I feel like it creates an undertone that Eddy is being punished for not being as religious as the others around him.
But take my complaints there with a grain of salt, it’s impossible to understand X-mas Special Logic, where it’s not quite Christianity, just some sort of TV-safe offshoot with elves and magic and a generally more fantastical mythology.
Tumblr media
Hey the silhouettes are back!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I already spoiled this joke...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do really like this shot…  Nice to see Rolf’s animals get a Christmas cameo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do entertain the idea that the Kankers really think these gifts will warm the Eds’ hearts and earn their admiration.  But we all know this will be a short lived moment.
Tumblr media
“This image certainly has the Christmas spirit…“
Tumblr media
And now that there’s been a beat of peace, the Kankers reveal their true intention of pressuring the Eds into gifting them some kisses.  The way they trap them in the shed and suggest it’ll last a whole year is really one of the creepiest approaches to a Kanker ending in the whole show.  Obviously it’s not likely it would really last that long, and imo if it’s just kisses it’s not really new or surprising... but it’s still a pretty damn meanspirited ending for a beautifully-crafted holiday special that very easily could have been scrapped by the show’s season 4 cancellation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do love the fur coat being draped over the cow’s face, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it is honestly important to know the Eds can still do well drawn group scream takes in digital.
Tumblr media
May and Ed scaring the animals is a nice touch, but I hate how we hear May going “oink” during this walla.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“WAIT”
Tumblr media
“I’M AN ANGEL”
Tumblr media
“STOP!!!!”
Tumblr media
kiiiinda scary
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hate Eddy almost getting away but kinda love this rare separation of his eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At this point my brain dies and I just go “aw the kids are so cute this is the only thing going on look how cute jonny is and kevin is being so nice and rolf is such a killyjoy i love this i love their group what a great xmas special nothing went wrong everyone is singing”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hope you had a good Kanker appreciation month!

The Daily Thistle
The Daily Thistle – News From Scotland
Thursday 2nd August 2018
"Madainn Mhath” …Fellow Scot, I hope the day brings joy to you….Very hot in the southern most parts of Spain, and very windy also, lots of sand being blown about and like Oban, lots of yachts getting into problems, and as this is the season for the refugees to make the crossing from Africa to Spain, lots and lots of them getting into problems as they attempt the crossing.. helicopters and police and boarder boats are patrolling the waters off the coast of Spain and Gibraltar… a lot are not political or war refugees they are the new economic refugees trying to beat the system.. but the waters between the two continents are very dangerous and more so with the strong wind of the past few days…
COASTGUARD CALLED OUT TO FOUR YACHTS OFF OBAN….Four yachts needed coastguard assistance in the Oban area on Saturday night and Sunday morning after running aground. Three people were taken off one yacht near Puilladobhrain Anchorage at about 22:30 on Saturday. Two other yachts were refloated after dragging their anchors in Loch Feochan and Loch Aline. And a yacht with one person and a dog on board made a mayday call at midnight after running aground at Lismore. The vessel refloated on the rising tide. There are strong winds and big tides in the area, which is currently hosting the West Highland Yachting Week event. Graham Cay, senior maritime operations officer with HM Coastguard, said: "It's been a challenging night for yacht owners. "The weather's not been great and looks to continue like this today. "We advise yacht owners to take care when anchoring to ensure they have good holding - a number were caught out by stronger winds and big tides. "Also make sure you've got a means of contacting us if you get into trouble and adequate provisions and safety equipment."
SCOTS WINDSURFER AIMING FOR OLYMPIC GLORY…. A Scottish windsurfer hopes to eventually compete at the Olympics following her success at last weekend's 2018 Youth Sailing World Championships. Islay Watson, from Aviemore, won the gold medal in the girls' RS:X class in Corpus Christi, USA. The 17-year-old first took up the sport on Loch Insh near her home in the Cairngorms. She told BBC Radio Scotland: "The Olympic success of other windsurfers, that is what inspires me." The athlete added: "Hopefully I can achieve similar success. A gold medal is the goal." Watson, who is preparing for another world championships in Latvia, said she had not expected to win gold in the USA. She said: "It was pretty awesome. I didn't really think that was possible. It was a really tight race. I was just quite lucky in the end." Watson added: "I had trained hard all year for this event, and the prevailing conditions are really the ones I enjoy the most. "I thought if I really gave it my best shot I could do something, but I wasn't really expecting to win."
STUDY TO DELVE INTO CHEESY-BOTTOMS SPONGE BELT OFF SCOTLAND…. Scientists are preparing to make surveys of some of Scotland's most unusual marine features. The sites include the Faroe-Shetland Sponge Belt, where sponges gather in aggregations nicknamed cheesy-bottoms due to their appearance. The Wyville-Thomson Ridge is a rocky plateau where beds of sea spiders and sea cucumbers are found. Another of the survey sites, Rosemary Bank Seamount, is a 1,000m (3,281ft) extinct volcano off the Western Isles. One of only three seamounts in Scottish waters seas, previous surveys estimated that it provided habitat to about 88 million sponges. All three sites are types of Marine Protected Areas. Scottish government directorate Marine Scotland Science and UK organisation Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) are involved in the surveys. The work will be done from the Aberdeen-based, Port Glasgow-built fisheries research ship, MRV Scotia. It can carry a crew of 17 and accommodate up to 12 scientists. The Faroe-Shetland Sponge Belt Nature Conservation Marine Protected Area lies west of the Shetland Islands and is a large rift basin that separates the Scottish and Faroese continental shelves. Five different water masses meet in the area, bringing nutrients that help deep-living cold water species to thrive, including sponges, worms and long-lived molluscs called ocean quahog. The aggregations of sponges were given the cheesy-bottoms nickname by the Faroese.
WATER SCARCITY 'SIGNIFICANT' IN MANY AREAS OF SCOTLAND…. It will take a month of exceptional rainfall for Scotland's water levels to return to near-normal levels according to the latest water-scarcity report. The weekly document from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) shows that many parts of the country are now on the highest level of alert. North East Scotland, North Highland and the Clyde, Ayr and Irvine have moved to "significant scarcity". Scottish Water is continuing to appeal to people to use water "wisely." Despite rainfall experienced in some parts this week, it has not been enough to exceed the evaporation levels meaning rivers remain low. A deluge of rain is now forecast but Sepa says there is "a great deal of uncertainty" about how far inland it will fall. Inland rainfall would be the best way of topping up rivers and increasing water levels. Sepa suggests it is "highly likely" that by the end of July Scotland will have experienced its driest six-month period since 1984. Despite this prediction, it says there is still no threat to the public water network. Bottled water has been made available to residents in some parts of Moray who have private water supplies. This area of north east Scotland has been on red-alert for several weeks. River beds have become exposed and water temperatures have risen posing a threat to plants, fish and other animals.
REBELS AT HEART: THE BEANO AT 80…. The Beano's "rebellious attitude" has kept it relevant for new generations of readers, the comic has said on its 80th birthday. Its first edition on 30 July 1938 broke with the tradition of text-dense publications for children, in favour of pictures to tell the story. Along with the print edition there is a CBBC series, an interactive website and a new live-action series. David Walliams has guest-edited the 80th birthday commemorative issue. Dundee's McManus museum has been renamed the McMenace for a new exhibition celebrating 80 years of the comic. Head of Beano Studios, Mike Stirling, said the comic revolutionised the industry in 1938. He said: "It was a really rebellious approach to the medium. "The original team turned everything on its head and made the focus upon picture stories and humour. "The key point was that the heroes were all kids." The comic regularly consults its "Trendspotters" - a group of young people from different backgrounds across the UK - on their viewing and social media habits. Mr Stirling said "We speak to kids every single day and they'll tell us what they love about Beano. "But they'll also tell us right away something they don't like. "Some of the content you see today might inform something one of the comic characters does in six weeks time, so it's really important for us that we get that feedback. "All our best ideas always come from kids."
On that note I will say that I hope you have enjoyed the news from Scotland today,
Our look at Scotland today is of the Beano, this comic I grew up with and loved.. Happy Birthday Beano and Thanks…
Tumblr media
A Sincere Thank You for your company and Thank You for your likes and comments I love them and always try to reply, so please keep them coming, it's always good fun, As is my custom, I will go and get myself another mug of "Colombian" Coffee and wish you a safe Thursday 2nd August 2018 from my home on the southern coast of Spain, where the blue waters of the Alboran Sea washes the coast of Africa and Europe and the smell of the night blooming Jasmine and Honeysuckle fills the air…and a crazy old guy and his dog Bella go out for a walk at 4:00 am…on the streets of Estepona…
All good stuff....But remember it’s a dangerous world we live in
Be safe out there…

 yeah
The ruckus of the crowd was incredible. Everyone was gathered around, giggling and laughing as they awaited to enter deeper into the stadium. Any venue where Off The Hook played was destined to be stuffed to the gills with loyal fans hungry to witness their dream duo perform live for the world. There were probably thousands of people there, filling the entirety of the whale sized stadium, packed like sardines and faithfully awaiting the first song to play. Any rookie act would naturally get nervous about performing live, however, many artists had coping methods to stay calm and avoid butterflyfish in the stomach. Some drank a little before the performance, other’s pretended no one was there. Marina and Pearl where a different story. However, this time…
In the back of the stadium, all the way across the red carpet, through those decked out halls covered in portraits of super stars and neon lights, Marina and Pearl were relaxing in the backroom. Both had their tights pulled down, and their hands hooked around each other’s crotches, toying with each other as they were getting into it. “We’re gonna rock this! We’ve got them so excited! Hook, line, and sinker!” Pearl exclaimed. As she spoke, her stokes across Marina’s cock were growing more sporadic, just as excited as the squid girl was.
“Y-yeah!” Marina replied, squinting through the strokes of her thick sensitive cock. She retorted, trying to keep her own stroking going on, eager to please Pearl. “I’m so excited for them! M-my dick is, like, extra sensitive tonight.” Marina mumbled, the caramel Octoling stared down at her cock as Pearl toyed with at as she noticed her pre was coming out extra thick that night.
Pearl’s fingers teased around the head of Marina’s cock. The mocha colored dick was massive and thick, her head having quite a fair amount of floppy fun foreskin to be toyed with. Pearl loved to slip a finger around the rim and fish around inside Marina’s, which always proved to be an especially sensitive spot for Marina. The Octoling moaned as Pearl slipped just a single finger inside of Marina’s little dick pouch. “Oh fuck yes~” Marina hissed through her teeth, grinning as she just took it all in. “This is so perfect. Once we blow our loads, we’re going to go out there and have such a good night!”
Marina’s own joy bloomed up, and she happily slid her hand harder up and down Pearl’s very long cock, pleasing the girl’s noodle dick with utter glee. She wanted to shower it in kisses, licking her lips as she was sent moaning in ecstasy.
Pearl beamed, pre shooting out from her cock. “This is gonna be the best show of our careers, yo! Now hurry up and cum-“
A knock at the door interrupted the girls. Both put their hands back, stood up, and slipped their tights up. Marina slid her tits back inside her jacket and zipped up, clearing her throat as an awkward blush crossed her face. Pearl was just as embarrassed, though much more frustrated. “Yeah, what’s up?! You’re kinda interrupting, yo!”
“S-sorry!” A stage manager replied from behind the door. “This is important, though! The opening act’s transport broke down in a whirlpool. I’m afraid that means there will only be you guys on stage tonight.”
“What?!” Pearl yelled, feeling her heart sink. “B-but, we need more time jerk off-“
“Prepare!” Marina hurriedly fills in. “We have to still get ready!”
“Well, ready will need to be very, very soon!” The manager replied, his voice muffled by the door between him and the hot and horny tentacle gals. “There is a packed stage out there, we are completely slammed! Literally not an empty seat, and they’re gonna get antsy if someone doesn’t get out there and start performing!” The manager stormed off shortly after. From their little room backstage, they could already start to hear the audience just outside chanting out.
“Off The Hook! Off The Hook!” The audience sang, praying for their idols to come and perform soon. They must already know that the opening act has been cancelled.
Pearl and Marina looked at each other awkwardly, not sure how to respond. Their eyes were on each other’s face, but just as well kept sinking down to look at bulges, their cocks still hard from all the action moments ago.
“I mean,” Marina said, curling her finger through her tentacles. “We did say that having sex before every show is a little weird.” Marina said, blushing as she tried to look away as she said it.
“Yeah…” Pearl replied, feeling just the same, pushing her hand against the huge boner bulging against her tights. “I mean, it’s not like we stinking sex addicts or anything like that!”
“Pfft, yeah!” Marina replied. “We don’t need to fuck just to have a good show. We can stop whenever we want!”
“Yeah!” Pearl agreed. “Man, everybody out there is deep fried excited to see us! Those excitement beams coming from them should be more than enough to get us in the zone!”
“Yeah!” Marina said, rising from her chair, her shorts glowing as she was exploding with excitement.
“So c’mon!” Pearl says, opening the door out to the halls. “Let’s show these cods a good time!”
And so the two went, ready and anxious to go give the show of their lives. The audience was booming and excited, everyone chanting along as they awaited for the duo to come out on stage. A few keyboards were set up, as well as some mics. The holograms were ready, a few teasing spurts of the light show was starting. They knew their idols were about to appear. The chants grew louder, to the point they could deafen. Rising from the center of the stage came them, at last.
Marina and Pearl stood, back to back, grinning over the audience as they walked from their little elevator. Their movement seemed a little off as Marina nearly tripped, her breasts bouncing in her tight jacket, but otherwise all was good. “Heya!!!” Pearl shouted into her mic. “Are you all ready?!” The audience replied back with their massive united voice. Pearl and Marina struck their pose. “Then let’s stay off the hook! Wooh!” And the synths started.
The two bobbed along to the rhythm as the song slowly started. Marina stared awkwardly at Pearl as two bars extra were added. Pearl snapped out of whatever funk she was in, and started singing. The audience was starting to reflect the awkwardness of their performance. They noticed! Marina thought, just trying to keep along and play. C’mon Pearl! We’re trying to prove something. Marina kept her eyes on Pearl for the rest of the song. When it was finally over and Pearl struck her final pose, Marina almost couldn’t hide her blush.
The Octoling was starting to realize what might’ve been going through Pearl’s head. She was horny. Really, really horny. She was so used to doing a big fuck right before a show that her cock was habituated to it. It was probably waiting for the feeding frenzy, to just spray all over Pearl’s face, leaving her smelling like cum for the whole show- N-no! Marina had to keep her head straight! Are we really this bad? Marina wondered, looking out over the show. The blush on her face was getting worse, and the huge bulge in her extremely tight spats wasn’t going to be easily hidden much longer. She was already starting to just flat out hump her keyboard, a few sour notes sneaking through. Pearl show her glares, but it felt sooooo good! Her big fat cock was hungry, it just needed to cum! She couldn’t imagine getting through the show!
“C’mon, Marina!” Pearl said, looking over her back to face her. She stood out awkwardly, probably not noticing that in their rush to go out into the show that Pearl was still wearing an old, breaking pair of her tights. Her rear was nearly showing through the breaking cracks forming in the tights. Marina couldn’t hold back any longer! She threw herself from her set and leaped on top of Pearl, humping her cock hard against Pearl’s form. In the rush, Marina couldn’t hear the audience as they reacted.
“I’m sooo sorry, I can’t hold back!” Marina said, unzipping her jacket and letting her brown breasts bob free. The audience gasped and stared. Some background music kept playing, automated to play some cheery upbeat beats while the band were dude to have a nice little heart to heart with the audience. Marina dug her cyan dipped fingers into Pearl’s tights and ripped them open, letting her long floppy cock free. The audience gasped, getting a good view from the mega screens set up around the arena. The cameras were still rolling, beaming up the view of the superstars breaking down.
Horny and searching for a hole to fill, Marina dragged her crotch hard against Pearl’s face, her own big meaty dick slipping out from her own pants. The audience screamed out in joy at that sight. “C’mon~” Marina cooes, her personal mic booming all her delicate little cooes and moans out for everyone to hear. “Let me just cum a lil~ We’ll keep the show going!”
“F-fuck you…” Pearl groaned. “E-everyone saw your dick!”
“Everyone saw your dick too.” Marina replied, toying with her foreskin and dipping out some pre.
“Yeah! No shrimp Sherlock! Now who’s going to go to our shows?”
“People who like your cuuuute dick~” Marina moaned, sliding her horny body down over Pearl, rubbing her tits and her fit stomach across Pearl’s front until Marina’s caramel tits were wrapped around Pearl’s pale cock, and those Octoling lips and tongue were caressing that big long dick. She made a little “Mwuah~” sound as she kissed the tip, and then she dove back down and started sucking as hard as she could. Her exaggerated horny sounds became the new singing to the backing track as the happy beats went on.
Pearl couldn’t say no to a good tit job, hard as she might try. Her hand met the back of Marina’s head, and she pushed the girl down, guiding her along as Pearl sat back to let her cock get sucked. “Y-yeah, fuck it. I’m horny.” Pearl grinned, pushing her cock hard down Marina’s throat, but mostly just letting the cock starved girl do most of the work as she seemed so eager to do. Marina was so happy, finally able to do something lewd after being so rudely interrupted. She loved tasting Pearl’s long cock, it was her favorite noodle in the whole world. Marina suckled away, trying her best to give as much of the cock love as possible. She drenched the shaft in drool, feeling her tits get lubricated up as a consequence of being so wet and eager.
Over and over, she’d drag her tongue along the length of the cock and flick it over the tip before loudly swallowing the dick again, moaning as if it brought her more pleasure than it did the girl who was getting her dick sucked off. Marina just always got so into it whenever she put her heart into it. She loved dick, and she loved seeing all the faces that Pearl made whenever she got into it too. Her eyes were filled with hearts, that cocky little grin was vanishing and turning into that spectacular little moaning face. That face that showed how she really felt, how into it she was getting. Marina gasped as Pearl suddenly came, her face contorting so beautifully before it was hidden from Marina by a jet of cum splashing across Marina’s face.
That beautiful face, all decorated and perfect, spoiled by webs of cum covered her. There was a thick glob over her nose, her cheeks, and drenching her lips. Her tongue slid out, lobbing up a good slither of white wet cum. The stuff was everywhere since Pearl always came like a fire hose. They doused the floor around them, and even splatted a few amps just a little bit away. Hell, if they had been just a bit closer, they could have even given some fans in the splash zone a little taste.
For a while, the air was hanging awkward. The audience watched on as squids all blushed and looked confused. Then, there were cheers, claps, hell even a few moans for a few who felt so inclined to join in on the fun. It seemed Off The Hook had so much influence that they could nearly get away with anything. Even fucking live on stage.
“My turn~” Marina said. “We both need to cum so we can do this thing!”
“F-fine…” Pearl said, equal parts distracted by her afterglow, and still unsure how to feel about the whole thing.
“C’mon, bend over~” Marina said, helping Pearl onto her feet. The girl slipped her hand over Pearl’s outfit, undoing that big zipper and tossing it to the side. The rest went away too, until all that was left was Pearl’s heavily ripped tights that showed off her ass and her big cock. Marina pushed the head of her titan cock against Pearl’s pussy, pushing forward as she felt exactly what she needed finally within reach. Pearl was bent over a fancy transparent table, which was pretty much just a tiny window pane. Pearl’s smooshed up tits showed through the screen, which the cameras were so kind as to zoom in on as the pair started to really get fired up.
As they got into it, flowing through the session like it was nothing, the audience vanished away. They were taken back to their little room, and they were just having a quick fuck before the show. Pearl let loose, letting herself be taken hard by the ever horny Marina. The Octoling was happy to take the girl hard as she could, pushing over and over. And then, all at once, she came, pouring her everything into Pearl. Pearl fell off the cock quickly, but Marina was still cumming. So absorbed in the moment, she flung herself forward near the audience, and she let her cock hose down the front row. Everyone cheered, at least, most of everyone, but this story isn’t about those who weren’t into it.
“And don’t worry~” Marina grinned, zipping herself back up. “That was just the warm up!”
                THE END.
