"Over The Garden Wall" is celebrating it's 10th aniversary this year, sooo, I decidet to sew a little Wirt cosplay for my little frog! ^^

The frog is NOT made by me! I comissioned it from @adhs_crochetcorner ! I only made the clothes ^^

This took me around 3 hours to make xD Sadly I didn't have tiny gold buttons to put all three on the cape, like Wirts actual cape. So one big gold button it is instead! :3

I've already taken the first step in customizing my own Maurice Spaghetti plush. I got my bootleg Peppino and, after washing and drying him, cut off his bulging eyes. Apparently, his eyes were glued to his face... I have no idea what to do about the scraps left behind on his face aside from covering them up somehow...

Advice Needed Please!

Does anyone know how to exchange the fur on a stuffed animal with another fabric? Like remove the fur (it appears to be a type I can simply pull out or cut and remove without ruining the plush itself) and replace it with the desired fur option.

I'm new to this kind of thing but I really want to replace the fur on a stuffed animal I bought a while ago- it's kind of cheap imo and it appears balding if you move the fur a certain way. The fur is also falling out.

Weird question, but I figure given the Tumblr circles I run in, at least one of you out there has either the plushie customization and/or essential oil knowledge (or have a mutual who does) needed to help me out.

You know how at Build a Bear you can get the discs with scents in them to effuse your bear with a specific smell? A couple of other brands smell similar products (under the name aroma beads, scent beads, scent disks, etc).

I am looking for one that smells like peanut butter. And, for very understandable reasons given that these are meant to be used in toys for children, finding peanut-infused anything is basically impossible.

If you know of a brand that might have something like that OR know of a reputable company that sells peanut butter scented oils/scented sprays or something like that that emulates that scent, please drop me a line. Trying to navigate the random names given to so many essential oils and perfumes gives me a headache, not to mention the sketchy MLM and/or fundamentalist cult vibes many of the online shops give off.

Closest I've found is peanut butter cookies, and I'm looking for something with more of a straight out of the jar, even slightly burnt (like it was spread out on burnt toast) smell, not anything sweet smelling.

It will end up being used in a plushie, so no candles or anything like that.

how to make your own beanie buddy!!

first: sacrifice a beanie D: this was a damaged and worn zip the cat. farewell sweet prince. thanks for your service. anyway take that beanie to bits

iron the pieces and trace them to make a pattern (make notes about how to reassemble NOW before you forget!)

Ask your sister to use her work printer to blow up the pattern from A5 to A3! thats four times bigger!!

get some plushy fabric from the craft store and get tracing and cutting (using medical scissors from that surgery you had four years ago)

SEW THAT BABY TOGETHER and then pick apart the head because you messed up AND THEN SEW IT BACK TOGETHER PROPERLY!!

make a little face :3 eyes, nose and whiskers!!

fill that beast with BEANS using your sister's hamilton shotglass (and some fluff for the head and body)

sew her up.... and take some photos!!

optional step: repeat the process to make some siblings!

It's december, so obviously my little frog get's a little christmas hat! :3 (Sadly it hasn’t snowed here yet, so no snow pictures with Frog for now, only frost >~<) I didn't want to make it purely red though, so I made some mistletoe ornaments to decorate it with! ^^

Originally, I wanted to make the ornaments out of green thread. The kind that people use for advent wreaths. But I couldn't find any at home. So I used goldren thread instead! XD I twisted and wove them the way I liked, put them in shape, glued all the parts together, and than sew them to the hat.

As always, a reminder that I DID NOT make the frog! I comissioned it from @adhs_crochetcorner ! I only made the clothes! ^^

This is Unosuke a Scolopendra “white legs” and the fourth and second of my plush pedes. Allow me to explain; I started Uno shortly after I finished Jack. I got his head and back done and then decided I didn’t like how his head looked (I didn’t like the fabric I had used, and I was still figuring out the anatomy then). I ended up putting him aside and starting other projects.

After finishing up Tybalt and Mercutio I came back to Uno. I redid his head, and he ended up being probably my favorite pede I’ve created to date. I’m particularly fond of the color effect that I got on his legs.

Uno has since found a new home overseas. He was a bit of a wrench to part with, but I’m sure he’s well looked after.
