Volo asks N if he can speak to deities and N is like. Hm. I don’t like this question I think
you could be onto something... n actually does not answer straight away and then also immediately finds an excuse to leave.
i dont blame him. last time someone wanted him to speak to a legendary pokemon he locked n up in a castle for most of his childhood

💥 Neo Champion Silver's random conversation lines 💥
Pokemon Masters EX spoilers ahead!
Edit: I finally got all 7 of Silver's random conversation lines, so all of them will be posted here! 🥳🥂
Random conversation 1:
The closer I get to Lance's level, the more I understand what he meant about loving trusting Pokémon. That's why I can tell just how strong of a Trainer he is. I don't hundred-percent accept everything Lance says. I'll find my own way to keep getting stronger... together with my Pokémon.
Random conversation 2:
What are your thoughts about me becoming a Neo Champion, (Name)? Think I don't fit the part? Or maybe you're jealous? Hmph. I guess it doesn't matter as long as you still want to beat me.
Random conversation 3:
They say Tyranitar's destructive power is so strong, it can make mountains crumble. Don't be scared of that when you face us in battle, OK? Battling cowards is boring.
Random conversation 4:
Tyranitar is a Pokémon that wanders around mountains searching for opponents. I've been doing something similar, going around Pasio and looking for stronger opponents to battle. I won't be satisfied by mediocre opponents. You'd better stay sharp and be ready for us to challenge you at any time.
Random conversation 5:
Every time I lost, I would get frustrated at myself and my Pokémon. But as we kept on battling, I could feel us getting stronger, little by little. Until we obtained a strength that we could call our own. Guess it was all worth it, in the end.
Random conversation 6:
I'm not about to get cocky just because I'm a Neo Champion now. If I lost to someone because I let success go to my head... well, that'd just be pathetic. I'll be aiming even higher than ever. Better hustle if you wanna keep up.
Random conversation 7:
I raised my Tyranitar from an Egg. Speaking of Pokémon Eggs, they always remind me of that one professor in New Bark Town. He forgave me for what I did... but it's still hard for me to look him in the eye.
This line in particular is a reference to a post-game scene in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, by the way!

I've seen the take that N lied about being unsure if he can talk to deities because of his ability to speak with Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga, and Giratina, but I disagree. I don't think he was lying.
Volo wasn't asking about pokémon viewed as deities by some, but are still pokémon, albeit powerful ones. Volo was asking about the creator of the known universe, an indisputable god, a being beyond time and space itself.
We, the fans, see Arceus as the same as other legendaries and mythicals because through the magic of gameplay we can catch and use it. But from the perspective of the characters living in that world, Arceus is beyond everything. There are multiples of Reshiram and or Ho-Oh or Dialga, but there is only ONE Arceus. (Again, for them.) And Arceus' power is beyond the scope of the human mind. Although some have worshiped the Unovan dragons as deities, and the same for Dialga and Palkia etc, they're more comparable to demi-gods; very powerful, but not the same.
So I don't think N was lying. I think he's genuinely unsure. If Arceus is a pokémon (which we know, but he doesn't, but Volo's story makes it seem so), then probably. But again, to create the whole universe and everyone and everything in it, that's far beyond any pokémon N has ever encountered. Who knows how that would go? Genuinely, I think he's unsure.
But I also think he was uncomfortable, because his "oops I was in the middle of something bye!" seemed like a hasty excuse to get out of there. I think Volo asking about that set off red flags for him. So I don't think he lied about knowing if he can talk to a deity, because your garden variety legendary is not a deity the way Arceus is (lore-wise). But his excuse to leave? THAT was flimsy af, lol.
