Recently celebrated my birthday and had the thought of what each pkgo character would get me. This is very self-indulgent and not at all serious. Slightly NSFW in Arlo's part

Prof. Willow: probably a bag, I'm a backpack boy for the space it provides and compartments

Candela: weights. She will watch me use them as weapons against Arlo as I aim them at his frontal lobe

Blanche: they like books, I like books, they'd get me a set of bookmarks or a list of recommendations (probs abt evolutionary biology)

Spark: he'd be the type to get anyone a gift bag filled with sweets. I'm a savory girly but if you give me those sour watermelon candies I'm having a ball

Giovanni: a pipe bomb on my doorstep, what a king!

Arlo: uh. He uh. I should keep this sfw but tbh I'd climb up into that stupid fucking balloon and join the 600 meter high club OSHA guidelines be damned. That's his gift to me

Cliff: a bag of buttered popcorn jelly beans (my favorite flavor) and he'd watch me tear into it before saying something like "you eat like a larvitar"

That’s the only way I can explain both why they all look younger, and why their outfits are not in any way related to the original styles

I'm debating over the leaders backstories.

Mulling over whether or not Spark was old enough to witness his father's death, whether his mother is alive and still apart of his life once Gou shows up, and if he and Annalise are on good terms.

I know the last bit will be dependant on the second, as Annalise is his adoptive sister, and they have some pretty bad communication issues to begin with in my notes... if he blames her for the death or not is up for grabs, if Mace dies it'll be as a direct result to the whole 'Temperamental Legend Has Now Chosen Me As Their Succesor After Dying To Save Them' fiasco due to some Hunter J-esque shenanigans.

I have Aaron's pretty much figured out, but the exact circumstances of her home-life are rather wonky, I'll likely stick with her having a younger brother that was, without a doubt, the Absolute Favorite for her parents, but whether she gets a Big Sister Bully, and a apathetic elder brother, are what I'm not all sure over.

I do know that Laurent, her younger brother is likely to show up at some point, more or less disowned due to the fact he chose the path of a Coordinator over a more 'respectable' career path, there relationship is a toss up though, I do know that he walks away with her as his emergency contact though.

[It won't be a tight nit relationship, but it's defined gonna be some flavor of painful for both sides.

For Aaron, she'll have to interact with the sibling she ultimately failed by being a coward, and the special sort of hatred/love that comes from knowing said sibling is the favorite.

For Laurent it's most definetly facing the older sister thar got away when he couldn't so much as move an inch out of line out of fear, and when he finally did, it cost him pretty much everything.

Either way, shared cowardice is likely to play a big part in their story...

Although, Laurent will probably never be told about Lugia and the whole 'I Sacrified My Life For An Injured Legend And Now Am Supremely Fucked' fiasco, they'll never be that close for that, or, at least, not for the whole story beyond the short 'Oh Yeah, This Thing Is Bonded To My Soul' explanation.]

Candela has lots of siblings, and is likely to suffer from absent parents and older siblings who more or less dumped all their responsibilities onto her, her childhood friendship with Asher is to remain intact, and will likely also add Arlo as another friend from before the whole 'I Died To Protect A Legendary And The Consequences Henceforth Are Screwing Me Over' fiasco.

She's definetly still the main breadwinner for most of her younger siblings, which are about five in number under the age of eighteen at the time of Gou's appearance.

I'm debating on whether Blanche has a happy family life, or is an orphan who is rather desperate to prove themselves which is why they're so... themselves, at the end of it all, the worst thing here is that after the whole 'Why Did I Sacrifice My Life For This Giant Bird, Dear God It's Choice To Bond With My Soul Is A Fucked Decision' fiasco.

Either way, they would consider Jacqueline Laverre their sibling in a sense, the girl will certainly annoy them enough for it, blood relation or no.

Past that, I know there was a minimum two year recovery for the leaders after everything on Shamouti Island, and things went south with Blanche and Candela after everything was said and done.

[They also all have a shared friend named Kiritsugu Byakuya for some reason...? I dunno...]
