A botanical garden is a very good place for a date (few people, many trails, secluded areas), but I don’t think Doyoung will take his BD bag with him. Fans recognise him because if his bags from afar, he knows it well.   

Doyoung has different hair on both photos, so hours passed between the pictures. Also Jaehyun is in a black shirt, not black poolover on a mirror selca.

What is this magic?

Moving on with the current hypothesis that Jae confessed somewhere at the end of December of 2016. Live 2016-2017, NY Eve. 

Interpreting Jae’s and Do’s behaviour here I do rely on the hypothesis. If further study of this time continues to support the idea, then the reading is correct. For now take it with a grain of salt. The problem is that they are before camera and among their friends, every feeling and thought is supressed. They can’t betray the tension or awkwardness. 

What is known for sure: 

- Jaedo spends a lot of time together during 2016, they keep to each other during festivals, concerts, perfomances, they are best friends;

- Doyoung is a touchy person and, when exited, likes to transfer his energy on other members, grabbing them or slapping;

What is speculated:

- Jaehyun, seeing that Doyoung flirts back (that famous prank with taking Do’s pictures on set, Do in pink poolover, Jae with a tennis ball, Taeil present, took place in November), gathers his courage and confesses to Doyoung;

- Jaehyun is rejected;

- The rejection is soft. Whatever answer Jae got he never lost the hope and kept pursuing. 

- Jaedo is back to work from holidays spent with their families and there is temporal tension with attempts to comeback to “just friends” times. 

The members see each other on the screen of the phone that Tae holds on a stick. There is a delay though.

During the live Doyoung, by habit, was placing his hands on Jae’s shoulders from time to time. Few times he took them away right away, being concious of their situation. Other times, being exited about the NY, he forgot to do so.

Do puts his left hand and quickly removes it. 

This time Do is so into his speech, he not only forgets about his hands, he actually repositions them under the hoodie, for a more comfotable grip. Jae was swiping his teeth with his tongue, when Do placed his hands, what prompted Jae to freeze for 7 seconds, forgetting about the tongue (like a cat, heh). 

Jae smiles.

And “looks” at Doyoung. He doesn’t see him, of course, he needs to turn his head for it, but the intention is there. Half-movement. It’s not a reaction to WW showing his tongue, because the image on screen is shown with a delay.

Jae continues to smile to himself for a little bit more and looks down, indicating that he is distracted with his own thought for a second and is not paying attention to Johnny’s speech.

I think what we see is Jae being glad, that Doyoung is not repulsed (not the correct word to use, but can’t came up with any other right now) and the bridges are not burnt.

It’s 10 seconds till NY and Doyoung forgets about his hands again, exited. Touching Jaehyun is natural for him, not a habit that can be erased in one day.

Jaehyun turns to share his happiness with Doyoung. What’s new?

Doyoung, I’m from the future, your walls will fall. 

It’s 2017 and the members say their blessings. Doyoung takes the stick from WW. Sly Jae uses the moment to rest his head on the hyung. 

When Tae takes the stick with the phone from Do, Do immidiently brings his arm back to break contact with Jae. 

Jae is not happy about such example of cold shoulder, so his tick manifests, he chews on his lip. 

No hands, no smile.

Hands appear, smile appears.

Hands disappear, smile disappear. What is this magic?

I know you've mentioned before that sharing clothes appears to be a subtle way at hinting that jaedo are closer than we are led to believe/a couple, but I've noticed some other shippers (aka a lot) also feel the same about jae and tae sharing clothes. Do you think the boys all just basically share one big closet and it's a free for all? Or they only share clothes with whom they are close with and this just shows that jae is close with both his hyungs?

I need an example of Jaeyong’s wearing same clothes. Never encountered.

To answer this question I need to have material from all shippers, all their findings of matching clothes to compare across the members. Usually, these “findings” are false, by the way. 

I know for sure that in the past the members wore same designer items for different preformances. For example, this striped poolover was also worn by Tae and Do. 

The members promote same brands, so they wear similar clothes, but of different colours. Like that one clothes line with hearts on the right chest side. 

Sometimes they are given identical clothes. Yuta, Doyoung and Taeyong wore same type of white T-shirt in LA. In the past the members wore identical shoes.  

I think they did have one hanger for all during debut times. There was one in their common area, it was caught on camera during a live from their dorms. Also, Doyoung complained that Yuta stole and wore his clothes. 

Nowadays, however, the members talk a lot about shopping online, meaning, they have enough money to spend now. Therefore I don’t think there is a need for a shared closet anymore.
