My issue with this here is not that Marron has a nose. Nope. Its that she is drawn too tall. She isnt GT age yet. But look at how tall Marron is when she's supposed to be 11 or 12.

Her legs & torso are too long. She's almost as tall as 18. She doesn't get taller until DBGT.

Toyotaro is a GT fanboy and keeps going back to GT designs or incorporating aspects of GT into the DBS manga because his ideas are usually crap (an example is that he incorporated Xicor from his fan manga into Goku Black's character). Not to mention how he incorporates the GT aspects into Super are often done poorly.

Anyway... THIS is how Marron is supposed to look during this time period. Slightly taller than Krillin and noticably shorter than 18.

Marron just looks too old in the DBS manga.

She's the right height on this page here tho. Then in the bottom panel she is a bit taller again.

Toyotaro also has issue drawing short characters. Something I noticed. Particularly a short character in combat. There was another reason why Krillin was eliminated immediately in the manga version of ths TOP other than Toyo disliking him. Toyo isnt good at drawing short characters fighting. Read through the manga and see for yourself. The few times Krillin or another short character is shown fighting, they are either getting beaten up or hitting an opponent with a ki blast or you see them punch somebody but no contact. Look at Gas when he was short and Toyo drew him fighting. He made Gas grow in height just so he could draw him fighting easier. Even in the flashback against Bardock, short Gas gets knocked around until he transforms into a teller form that way Toyo can draw him fighting.

Bryan has always been (and continues to be) a boundary pusher, so the more Kai gets angry, the more amused Bryan gets to continue with his actions.

After the events of G-Rev, I do see members of the Blitzkrieg Boys developing a level of sympathy for Kai. They weren’t too crushed about losing the tournament and they were pretty happy that Boris got the punishment he deserved. When they returned to Russia, everything was working out for them and they became very engaged with their community, but it almost felt like Kai got the short end of the stick. After seeing how hard he worked to climb to the top only to lose it all, they were able to relate that to their own experiences. They worked hard and without much validation, because they always had one another in the end. Kai, despite his history with the bladebreakers, was ultimately willing to sacrifice that for some kind of validation and success. Kai does become a powerful businessman, but it was so evident that he was empty inside. I imagine that after everything was over and some years had passed, someone like Tala would reach out to Kai again. Tala isn’t usually the type to make the first move about anything, but through his engagement with community members, he was able to gain a few life lessons in regards to leadership, responsibility, ownership, impact, etc. Kai was never seen as someone who he could easily dismiss or leave behind. There was something pretty powerful there. At one point, these two did in fact need each other. Although the stakes are no longer the same, those emotions have not been discarded. Tala’s intentions when reaching out are genuine, but someone like Bryan would be more excited to see Kai again after all that time. In fact, the first words from his mouth could be complimenting Kai on his strength and how he remembers how amazing he was in his last official match. Those words would honestly hit Kai pretty hard. Everyone’s been so afraid to speak about that day, but Bryan brings it up so easily and doesn’t even insult him. That should say a lot since he’s so antagonistic. Despite the initial distrust, Kai was apart of their history and that does speak volumes to a team that only clings to familiar faces.

Many of the members of the Blitzkrieg Boys are seldom ever apart. Granted, they do have their times when they wander off. Spencer might want to sight-see or gets lost in his thoughts, Bryan might be off looking for trouble, Tala might need some space to think strategies through, and Kai is just...Kai. But ultimately, everyone’s aura is interwoven and they always find a way to come back to one another. They have accustomed themselves to sleeping and occupying very harsh and unfavorable conditions. Sometimes, the only thing they could do was sleep on the floor and sometimes the only warmth they received was from the sleeping body next to them. They have conditioned themselves to find comfort and ease through one another’s presence, thus making companionship a necessity for relaxation, survival, and a sense of home. Even someone like Kai is drawn into this un-explainable need to be around his teammates or else he can’t get any rest. Bentley, adorably, also mounts a set of Bomber for Bentley Centenary Edition skis up there—probably useful for the driver should they get in a jam on the ice and feel like bailing for some après ice racing.

Other upgrades include a 15-millimeter increase in track width, a slightly taller ride height for extra ground clearance, and an Akrapovic exhaust system (the brand furnishes the optional sports exhaust for the production GT). And, yes, there are those studded Pirelli Scorpion Ice Zero2s. The underlying Continental GT is the twelve-cylinder model, because when you’re going ice racing, why settle for the (still quite quick and very satisfying to drive) V-8 model? The twin-turbocharged W-12 provides GP Ice Race Bentley’s driver, Junior World Rally Championship driver Catie Munnings, with 626 horses to play with.

If you thought the big Bentley might prove a handful on the ice, Munnings says otherwise: “I was amazed by how dynamic, nimble and responsive it is. It can dance like a lightweight rally car …” With the latest Continental GT’s more aggressive front-to-rear torque split in its sportier drive modes, we imagine she’s quite right.

Hopefully, she doesn’t partake too much in sideways behaviors during the Skijoring portion of the Austrian ice race event, though. That’d be where the car tows a skier through the same course it (separately) races through. Bentley has signed up skier Sven Rauber for the contest, noting that while Skijoring “dates back to the Olympic Winter Games 1928 in St. Moritz, when skiers were drawn by riderless horses,” the “2020 version” will feature “considerably more horsepower.” Know what? The more we think about it, a rally-spec Continental GT towing a skier in some obscure ice-racing contest actually seems quite on-brand for Bentley.

Using Clip Studio Paint Pro & Wacom Mobile Studios While Working on my Art.

Background - Sky The sky colors are now recorded in a pallet. Colors are applied as shapes instead of a gradient and are painted from top to bottom. Sky used to be applied at a lower opacity, but I forgot about that on this page and all later pages.

Background - Misc. Removed the wood texture for now because it was too time consuming. Panel Three looked odd with the white fence behind Chuck so I darked the background.

Effects For outlining text used for Sound Effects, I was using Layer Properties -> Border Effects, but this caused artifacts when transformed or warping. I got around that by instead using Edit -> Outline Selection.

Panels Made alterations on the frame borders. The size has been increased from 3px to 5px. Horizontal cuts have been increased from 13px to 20px. Vertical cuts have been increased from 17px to 24px. I figured out I can go to Frame Border -> Sub Tool to turn on anti-aliasing, which means my frames wont be all jagged anymore.

Extra Notes Panel Three originally had a shot of Squirrel looking down from the Crow's Next at Chuck shouting below, but I couldn't figure out how to draw the perspective so I changed it. I regret that choice because that panel was good for showing the placement of the characters within the world. Even poorly drawn I think it would have communicated better than what I ended up with.
