I did not expect the Starbound Xbox port to actually be a thing.

Kinda neat to see a lil spark of activity (in a "dead thing twitching when you poke its brain" kinda way), although idc as long as they don't update the PC version and break all the mods.

Casually headed back to the mall bc neither of us have upgraded our phone since 2016 and had no idea that apple doesn’t give you a dang wall plug to charge your phone in the box anymore 🙃

it should be illegal for companies to have such a widespread issue and not fix it

#brina is being forced to upgrade her ipad bc its cheaper than fixing it w the trade in credit #and yes thays my drawing program and writing program i do axrually need that fucker the programs arent on other platforms #this is actually the worst companies should be sued more #tbd #the only fix options i was given was spend $600 on repairing the charging port #or pay $400 gor the ‘magic k/eyboard’#its $600 to full out replace it w trade in cred #fuck ap/ple fuck ap/ple f u c k a p p l e #if these programs werent locked to this bullshit device id buy a samsung #i have to go do that now so #ik i have like messages and stuff i havent seen them yet im sorry i gotta go fic this shir

I got really poor sleep last night (honestly didn't get to sleep until like 7 am) and then had to wake up and help my mom at her work, so! I'm probably going to get to more things tomorrow when I have the spoons.

Oh I just thought of another thing to add to the tags on that dream hobby post

My first thought when I saw that post I just reblogged with the keyboard jacket was "oooh, I bet you could make it functional! You've just gotta wire switches or whatever into it. If you wanted to get fancy you could even put LEDs in to make the keys light up like those fancy gamer keyboards"

so. Whatever that is

#i don't have the knowledge to do any of that stuff but i may ask for a ''build your own [whatever]'' kit for Christmas #I've replaced phone screens and charger ports and upgraded the RAM in my laptops but that's as far as I've gone #but again .. it takes time and space and a bit of investment to learn that stuff so ........ someday

feel a strong urge to stream fallout 4 or fallout 76 but the insane rig i'd have to do in order to get audio (need a desk mic since my pc ports demand i plug a separate mic and headphones in)

Got myself a drawing tablet

Had to order an adapter for it, since I don't have any HDMI ports on my pc :(

#its an old oem that i bought refurbished #like its a good machine #but it doesnt have a graphic card #and it only has a 200w psu #so at best i could go for a 1030 or worse #i would upgrade the psu #but its one of those sfx ones #so i just decided to save up to build my own pc #but that does bite me in the butt #as i now have to wait for an adapter #its super weird that a pc has no hdmi ports #but i guess its because its an oem #damn

i need a new computer. i know i need a new computer. i have the money and the resources to get a new computer right now. i know exactly what kind of computer i want. and yet i Will Not Buy A New Computer

#I don't want to leave MacOS Mojave :(#i want my 32 bit apps! I want to play my little bird game :( :( :(#my current MacBook is 7 years old and it's starting to have keyboard problems and flexgate stage lights #and Mojave is no longer supported by Apple or by anybody else #so like... I KNOW I need to upgrade. I KNOW #but then I'd have to get used to a New Computer #where things aren't exactly how I like them #and the design of the OS is Very Slightly Different #my current computer has 4 thunderbolt ports so you can charge it from either side!#the newer Macbooks only have 2 thunderbolt ports on ONE SIDE!#like all of these changes are so very minor but I know they're going to drive me bonkers #besides I've been meaning to get around to playing Songbird Symphony for *checks notes* five years #and I can't do that on a newer Mac #like it doesn't matter but I WANT THAT OPTION #I guess I could buy a Windows machine but then I'd have to get used to Windows which would be even harder #and I want to take advantage of the Apple trade in and education discount deals #ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i hate technology i hate technology #why can't I have one (1) computer For Ever And Ever

i really wish laptops had the same degree of customization as desktop computers. what i would give for a laptop that can handle heavy rendering work with as many ports as this decade-old thinkpad i'm using...

#i have FOUR usb ports with 2 in front and 2 at the back. there's an ethernet port. there's vga and mini dp #this laptop was expensive on launch but so was my current one and it's pitiful in comparison. no hdmi or ethernet in it #a lot of newer machines too are soldering down their memory so they can't be upgraded. even for $2-3k ones #it sucks!!#my laptop came with 32gb ram and that's the Maximum it can handle #if i need more (which. isn't unlikely the time i graduate) it'll be like $3k for a better machine #which is insane because i'm typing this on a machine that i more than doubled the ram on and changed out the cpu all by myself at home #planned obsolescence my absolute detested

I would do anything for a more convenient way to play alan wake’s american nightmare than having to dig out ye olde xbox 360 and pray to god that it doesn’t burst into flames ignited by the ancient layers of dust inside when I start it up
