mimi takes Steps to ensure she never loses her english accent and as such even though she pretty consistently tends to end up with an american, her kids typically do end up with hints of it in certain words, just because of the way She talks and she spends a lot of time with her kids especially when they’re young. she really likes being a mom, and tbh- she also really wants to pass along her cute little accent to her kids at least somewhat. not to the point of getting an au pair though bc she wants to be responsible for parenting her own children…

mimi st. james is the younger sister to logan st. james, a character i played in an rpg for a few months like... late 2020 early 2021... and tbh he was kinda ruined for me with some stuff that went on in that group but... i have started utilizing his sister mimi and tbh i don't even remember if that was actually even her name back when i wrote logan but she's become my absolute beloved truly.

she's a wonderful human being and she's v rich and has a nice posh english accent bc she spent a vast majority of her upbringing there besides a few years in new york with her parents and her brother. would do anything for her brother, who's spent so long trying to protect her... she's tbh so ride or die for everyone she gets close to. lowkey a party girl when she moves out to california and/or new york (bc i could easily see her having a place in both cities, to be near logan in ny and for herself in cali) after graduation to do some influencer-y stuff.

she could live on daddy's credit card the rest of her life if she wanted to. and if she needed it, her brother would also be willing to take care of her financially. but she's making her own living too, figuring out what she likes besides having fun and taking advantage of the connections you can make with that kind of money. it's okay that she's kinda a nepo baby- if only in the financial sense, if not the industry sense. kind of a model. mostly just a fashion girly. she was kind of an influencer even without the social media in school... has always dressed well and put off good vibes to people.

that said, you don't ever want to be on mimi's bad side. she is ride or die like i say- will not hesitate to defend a friend. will not take your sht. she is highly selective romantically, very cher horowitz vibes 'ugh as if', but she's also not ashamed when she is interested in someone. will also happily support her friends relationships but will not hesitate to tell them if she doesn't like the person they're with. is her actual legal name mimi? probably not. but hey, no one is talking on that subject- everyone's called her mimi as long as she's known them... so why question it?

(dream wedding headcanons)

mimi st. james has had thoughts of her wedding since she was very young. she has attended a LOT of weddings over the years, so she's gotten a taste of a lot of different things, to know what she does and doesn't like. she is jewish, so that's incorporated into parts of her wedding ceremony too.

what mimi's dream wedding looks like for her... she's going to have a big wedding, simply because of who she is, and she doesn't really get much of a say in that. but she's a very classic girl when it comes to certain things. pretty, classic white gown for the ceremony. very classic silhouette, long train, all that jazz.

and then something different for the reception, more unique and hers... potentially vintage or even archival, if not custom designed for her like the ceremony dress is. this for example- chanel spring 97 couture. pretty, dainty, flowers... not obnoxiously floral, but- it's more unique than like- her GORGEOUS but very classic ceremony gown.

that juxtaposition throughout the wedding tbh, the ceremony is very much feels v classic, soft details, the flowers tied with satin or even that ribbon wrapped with lace, that sort of thing. the reception is less constrained, more fun and lots of dancing and generally enjoying yourselves. there are themed tables with cute little decorations, signature cocktails, etc. she's able to actually let loose and enjoy herself. versus the ceremony is more classic and restrained, because the focus there for her is on the getting married, not on the Event of a wedding. she knows it's going to be in magazines, but for her the wedding ceremony is about marrying her partner. she wants that love and bringing a family together to be what people are focused on. she looks beautiful and she knows it, and so does her wedding party, but this is her day please and thank you.

idk if she'd want a destination wedding necessarily, unless her partner had somewhere in mind, but since she typically marries an american, no matter where they get married, it'll mean Travel for a good amount of people, and that will all be covered for their guests, and especially the wedding party. her father will be paying for everything. he frankly insists because that is his baby and she will get the perfect wedding day bc like- she only gets to do this once. that said- her planner, hired by her parents, takes care of a lot of the things for her, which she really appreciates, bc she gets her voice heard in what she does and doesn't want, but she also doesn't have to Handle it. she has a lot of conversations with her wedding planner, alone, but also with her mother and soon to be mother-in-law. family is very important to her, and that's very much a part of the wedding for her.
