kep report card, month 3! wild to think he's been with me for 3 months already:

food (drive, appetite, sensitivity): 🟢/🟡 eating 2200+ calories a day like a fucking maniac. is getting very annoying about countersurfing.

leash walking: 🟢 still doing really well, pulls a bit sometimes but re-adjusts with enough reminders

sleeping: 🟢 - tentatively giving this one a green, he seems to be doing better during the day about settling (even if he does nap very lightly). still great overnight.

crating: 🟢/🔴 - leaving this as is bc i haven't re-visited it. great at night, presumably still shit during the day but he'll get his big boy crate in next week and we'll re-visit how he does during the day.

potty training: 🟡 can hold it 10 hours overnight, 5-6 hours during the day no problem - EXCEPT in my living room. the ONLY potties inside in the last 2 months have been in my goddamn living room. i am getting ready to just rip out my entire rug until he gets the hell over it. annoying as fuck.

general training: 🟢 mensa student. too bad i suck.

manners: 🟡 countersurfs incessantly

grooming: 🟢/🟡 as long as there's food, he's good for whatever.

cars: 🟢 rides quietly and calmly

outings/socialization: 🟢 loves a good adventure

other dogs: 🟡 finally seems to have gotten over his urge to maul stellina, they play very nicely now and he rarely needs correction. did try to hump once or twice but stopped immediately when i scolded him. very friendly with other dogs, still barky and over-focused onthem but typical for a herding puppy.

other people: 🟢 BEFRIEND THE KEPPY

small animals: 🟢 polite with butters, chases but doesn't obsess over backyard critters and bugs

overall he's still a 🟢, and frankly if he could control himself in my fucking living room and countersurf like, 50% less i'd call him perfect. we'll be re-integrating the crate during the day now that the weather's heating up, we'll see how it goes - he will willingly nap in stellina's, and he's better about sleeping during the day, so hopefully he's not too obnoxious. as soon as he's housebroken and stops taking everything off of my counters he's fine to free roam, so this is on him at this point. will adolescence turn him into a little demon? find out next time!

as p1nocchio becomes more human and as he gets a bladder cycle to go with it g3petto and in the future ven1gni start keeping some training potties around the house in case the bathrooms occupied and hes not sure if he can wait (usually he cant, hes still learning)

Les babygowns, sont comme des grenouillères sauf que les jambes du bébé sont ensemble, qu'elles ont de la place pour bouger, et que le bas n'est pas fermé mais élastiqué. Je vous présente ici une variante très pratique pour l'HNI : le babygown gigoteuse convertible Ecopitchoun !

Lorsque vous pratiquez l'hygiène naturelle infantile (HNI) avec votre bébé, il vous suffira donc de relever le bas du babygown. Dessous, votre bébé pourra porter, si vous le souhaitez, une couche, une culotte d'apprentissage ou un autre système permettant de faciliter l'hygiène naturelle infantile (HNI). Aussi, le babygown permet de laisser bébé tout nu tout en restant discret.

Si vous mettez une couche, celle-ci sera changée plus rapidement et simplement qu'avec une grenouillère. De jour comme de nuit, bébé sera couvert tout en le laissant libre de ses mouvements et en rendant plus pratique l'hygiène naturelle infantile (HNI)! Quand il fait froid, des jambières permettront de garder les jambes de bébé au chaud même une fois le babygown relevé.

Vous avez 2 types de pots pour les bébés : le pot HNI (hygiène naturelle infantile) qui vous permet de proposer à bébé dès la naissance, et le pot anatomique Ecopitchoun dès les 8 mois de bébé qui lui offre la position accroupie. C'est ainsi plus facile pour votre enfant de faire ses besoins : les selles sortent plus rapidement, facilement et sans douleur, et la vessie se vide complètement.

Ce babygown est fabriqué avec de l'éponge de coton bio, qui est assez épaisse, et il y a deux épaisseurs au niveau de la poitrine, ce qui fait qu'il est suffisamment chaud pour servir de gigoteuse également. Si vous avez besoin de couvrir plus votre bébé, tout en restant pratique pour l'HNI, vous pouvez l'habiller d'une paire de jambières et d'un t-shirt, voire un pull fin si nécessaire.

L'astuce supplémentaire, c'est qu'il est convertible : la ligne de pressions permet de transformer à volonté le babygown en romper ! Ainsi si vous avez besoin de séparer les jambes de bébé pour le mettre dans son siège auto, pour qu'il puisse facilement marcher à 4 pattes ou debout, etc, il vous suffira de remettre les pressions dans la position souhaitée.

Comment utiliser le pot émaillé avec un bébé en hygiène naturelle infantile ?

Le pot émaillé permet de proposer le pot aux bébés en HNI (hygiène naturelle infantile) plus sereinement, rapidement, et de façon sécurisée et pratique. 

Quand bébé est nouveau-né, il reste dans une posture recroquevillée et le parent conserve cette posture en lui proposant le pot. Puis bébé va se déplier progressivement et il s’agit de suivre son développement. Par la suite, c’est en position accroupie que nous lui proposerons le pot, en veillant donc à ce que ses genoux soient à hauteur de nombril et ses jambes écartées d’environ 90 degrés. 

Le pot HNI vient alors se placer au niveau de l’entrejambe, beaucoup incliné et non droit comme un petit pot classique. Ainsi le jet ira dans le pot. Si jamais le jet sort de façon anarchique, certains parents l’orientent et d’autres utilisent la petite protection HNI pour l’orienter et éviter les fuites.

Toutefois bon nombre de positionnements non adaptés de pots sont à l’origine du pipi qui sort. Il va vous falloir prendre le coup de main, trouver la position adaptée à votre bébé, et vous libérer de vos a priori. En effet c’est bien souvent que les parents me disent “ah mais je ne pensais pas qu’il s’inclinait comme ceci” ou encore “ah juste l’entrejambe, pas assis comme quand il est plus grand alors”. Lors des consultations individuelles, vous m’expliquez, je montre, j’explique, et nous trouvons ensemble la position adéquate.

Ce petit pot évite de se faire mal aux bras à force de porter bébé et permet de rester là où bébé se trouve.

Last weekend, I put together #AntonMataeo new #pawpatrol #bigboybed that we got from @walmart. This #milestone is bittersweet. . He immediately wanted to sleep in, “mine own bed” and fell asleep pretty quickly.
