चंदन एक सदाबहार पेड़ है| इसकी खुशबू और औषधीय गुणों की वजह से इसकी काफी मांग होती है| चंदन की खेती कर आप मालामाल हो सकते हैं|

केवल सरकार ही कर सकती है चंदन का एक्सपोर्ट

चंदन की खरीद और बिक्री पर सरकार ने रोक लगा रखी है| 2017 में बने नियम के अनुसार, चंदन की खेती कोई भी कर सकता है, लेकिन चंदन का एक्सपोर्ट सिर्फ सरकार ही कर सकती है|

चन्दन के पौधे या बीज कहाँ से प्राप्त करें

चन्दन की खेती करने के लिए बीज या पौधे किसी का भी रोपण किया जा सकता है| इसके लिए आप दोनों में किसी भी चीज को खरीद सकते हैं| इसके बीज या पौधे खरीदने के लिए आपको केंद्र सरकार के लकड़ी विज्ञान एवं तकनिकी संसथान ( Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) ) जोकि बंगलौर में स्थित से वहाँ से सम्पर्क करना होगा|

इसके अलावा भारत के उत्तरप्रदेश में भी इसकी एक नर्सरी है जहाँ आपको इसकी जानकारी एवं पौधे दोनों मिल जायेंगे| इसके लिए आपको मशहूर एल्ब्सन एग्रोफ्रेस्ट्री प्राइवेट लिमिटेड (Albsan Agroforestry Private Limited, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh )  से सम्पर्क करने की आवश्यकता होगी|

चन्दन की प्रजातियाँ

चन्दन की पूरे विश्व में कुल मिलाकर 16 प्रजातियाँ हैं, जिनमें सेंत्लम एल्बम बहुत ही अच्छी सुगंध वाली होती हैं| इसी में सबसे अधिक औषधीय गुण भी पाए जाते हैं| चंदन की 16 प्रजातियों में सफेद चन्दन, सेंडल, अबेयाद, श्रीखंड, सुखद सेंडल आदि  प्रजाति की चंदन पाई जाती है।

सफेद चंदन को बढ़ने के लिए किसी सहायक पौधे की जरूरत होती है| सफेद चंदन के लिए सहायक पौधा अरहर है, जो कि पौधा के विकास में सहायक होता है| अरहर की फसल से चंदन को नाइट्रोजन तो मिलता ही है साथ ही इसके तने और जड़ों की लकड़ी में सुगंधित तेल का अंश बढ़ता जाता है|

सफेद चंदन इन कामों में होता है इस्तेमाल

सफेद चंदन इस्तेमाल औषधीय बनाने, साबुन, अगरबती, कंठी माला, फर्नीचर, लकड़ी के खिलौने, परफ्यूम, हवन सामग्री में होता है|

चन्दन की खेती करने का तरीका

एक एकड़ जमीन में ज्यादा से ज्यादा 375 सफ़ेद चन्दन के पौधे लगा सकते हैं|

चन्दन के पौधों में ज्यादा पानी सिंचित नहीं करना होता हैं इसलिए इसके चन्दन के खेत में मेड़ बनाकर पौधे का रोपण किया जाता है| ये मेड़ कम से कम 10 फुट की दूरी पर बनाये जाते हैं|

मेड़ के ऊपर चन्दन के जो पौधे लगाये जाते हैं उसी एक दूसरे से दूरी 12 फुट से कम नहीं होनी चाहिये|

एक बात जो सबसे ज्यादा ध्यान रखने वाली है वह यह कि चन्दन के पौधे अकेले कभी नहीं लगाये जाते हैं वरना ये सूख जाते हैं| क्योकि चन्दन अर्धपरजीवी पौधा होता है|

चन्दन की खेती जिस क्षेत्र में की जाती हैं वहां पर कुछ साथी पौधों को भी लगाना आवश्यक होता है| क्योकि ये चन्दन के विकास में सहायक होते हैं| इसलिए 375 सफेद चन्दन के आसपास 125 अन्य साथी पौधे भी लगाना आवश्यक है|

ये साथी पौधे लाल चन्दन, कैजुराइना, देसी नीम, मीठी नीम एवंसहजन के पौधे आदि हो सकते हैं|

चन्दन की खेती करने के लिए बीज या पौधे किसी का भी रोपण किया जा सकता है| इसके लिए आप दोनों में किसी भी चीज को खरीद सकते हैं|

व्यवसायिक रूप से देखा जाये तो चन्दन की खेती किसान कुछ विशेष सावधानी के साथ आंध्रप्रदेश, मध्यप्रदेश, तेलंगाना, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, बिहार, कर्नाटक, तमिलनाडु आदि जैसे किसी भी राज्य में कर सकते हैं| इसलिए यह किसानों के लिए पैसे कमाने का सुनहरा अवसर है|

चंदन का पेड़ कितने साल में तैयार होता है?

चंदन के पौधों को पेड़ बनने में करीब 12 से 15 साल का समय लगता है| 12 साल में इसका वजन 15 किलो आता है, जबकि 15 साल होते तक इसका वजन 20 किलो हो जाता है|

चंदन की लकड़ी की कीमत क्या है?

बीज भी 300 रुपए किलो बिकते हैं। जानकारी के अनुसार चंदन की लकड़ी का औसत बाजार मूल्य 5 से 6 हजार रुपए प्रतिकिलो है।

चंदन पाउडर स्वास्थ्य के लिए लाभ

चंदन पाउडर का इस्तेमाल न केवल चेहरे को सॉफ्ट और ग्लो��ंग बनाता है बल्कि इसके इस्तेमाल से त्वचा से जुड़ी कई समस्याओं का समाधान भी हो जाता है। पित्त के कारण होने वाली पेट की गड़बड़ी में भी चंदन का फायदा मिल सकता है। आप चंदन का इस्तेमाल बुखार को ठीक करने के लिए भी कर सकते हैं।
