Parking one of these in the yard to let the Jehova's witnesses know I mow grass, eat ass, raise hell, and praise Dale before they ring my doorbell.

I know on the surface, Wyll referring to himself in the third person is supposed to both on a textual and metatextual be kind of a superhero thing. it's supposed to evoke a familiar "Never fear! The Blade is here!" sort of vibe and to be clear it does, but still, the more I hear "Are you sure? The Blade stands at the ready." when dismissing him, I can't help but find this second level of it being a way for Wyll to further depersonalize himself, even in casual conversation. like to Wyll, Wyll is not a person with needs and wants and desires. every scar and humiliation is an acceptable loss in service of something much bigger than him. even the loss of his soul is an acceptable loss to being the Blade of Frontiers.

I need the devils to make this shirt available all the time.
My grandpa watched nascar religiously and would say, “raise hell and praise dale” rip dale earnhardt before every race
my love for the devils and my grandpa and his silly saying fuels my desire to own this shirt BUT I can’t find it anywhere in my size :(

One of my favorite things to see is the Saintification of certain celebrities or folks within certain cultures. The best example I can think of is Dale Earnhardt Sr in the Southeast and among Nascar fans. He drove the blue and yellow number 3 wrangler and then the black number 3 Goodyear car in Nascar. His nickname was The Intimidator and he was an icon while alive. And in death he has practically become a southern Saint. Folks will say, "Raise hell, praise Dale," and "Do it for Dale," before doing anything that requires a little boost of courage. And I just think it's super neat.

"why can [insert Baldur's Gate 3 companion here] kill their abuser but [insert other Baldur's Gate 3 companion here] can't?" well, you see, the thing about having all your major characters' personal arcs explore the same recurring theme is that you can tell different stories with different outcomes that all (potentially) lead to what healing and reclaiming their autonomy looks like to that specific individual and their specific circumstances without saying that one path to healing is the right way to deal with abuse and therefore superior to another.
