*sighs* I can't let canon affect my mental health so hard lmao. I'm just in a VERY niche position in an obscure part of a dying fandom and it's infuriating having canon step on my toes when we were promised that these ideas were dead and wouldn't be brought up again.

I love exploring the boundless love and loyalty that are attributed to dogs- it's a trait that fits any of the Chat Noir identities. It honestly fits them way better then the cat lmao... but like...

But people assume that 2D felix = GDV and that's just not true. But just the the idea of Bridgette, you can't shake the fandom free of these ideas.

So idk how or why but I started thinking about an ML/MK crossover because I love both of these things (ML only referring to the 2D-pre3D verse ML and literally no other part of that franchise, for the rest of forever) sooooooooo I’m going to spew some headcanons under the cut

For some reason or another Kaito and Crew end up visiting Paris for an extended period of time

I figured Kaito would actually tag along with Hakuba going there or something, like there was some big problematic case and Hakuba was going to be away for a while and Akako/Aoko were like “oh man Paris is so luxurious” and Hakuba was like “would you like to come” and then Kaito came too because you can’t leave Kaito behind

And also this would give him a chance to expand his heist territory because really????? Not all the great jewels of the world are in Japan/will be brought to Japan at some point so

Ignore the plausibility I just needed a set up for why they’d be in Paris

I think it would be really funny if the first night Kaito tries to do a heist in Paris one of two things happens: 1) he gets into some serious trouble because he runs into/happens upon the scene of some of the Real Baddies planning something nefarious 2) Chat Noir and Ladybug actually show up to stop him because you know if he’s trying to steal something he is still playing the villain lol

Through whatever means bring them together, these kind of meetings end up happening pretty frequently

As time passes Kaito ends up bantering/talking to the heroes more and on occasion he’s probably even teamed up with them to fight the real real bad guys because you know Kaito is a vigilante like them at heart

At some point he figures out that while they have legit magical powers and his art only tricks, they’re actually really similar and also he thinks it would be cool to continue to team up with someone for a change because damn it gets boring always doing the solo act thing and these other villains have threatened him/been getting in his way anyway so they already have a common enemy

Akako could probably use her magic to find out what their civilian identities were (or Hakuba could just. Deduce them or whatever idk he seems pretty proud of being able to do that kind of analysis) but I think Kaito would prefer to earn their trust the traditional way, prove that he’s on their side, reach some kind of truce and then start working with them

And with Kaito Kid + the Miraculous Holders as a team I just love all the shenanigans and teamwork things that would unfold from that

I kind of flopped back and forth on whether or not to actually make Kaito a Miraculous Holder in this AU, which would be kind of cool because he’d probably be like a dove or some shit, but since he’s often compared to something like that just using his glider I felt like just leaving him as normal Magician Under the Moonlight would be a cool addition to a magically centered team

Kaito and Felix don’t really get along as civilians but Kid + Chat Noir is like……………a double headache for Ladybug lol

They probably do all sorts of outrageous things together and Chat Noir’s bad luck affects Kid a lot because Kid is always hanging around him, but he doesn’t mind

Ladybug is still the long-suffering brains of the operation and she’s just trying to keep these clumsy, flamboyant boys alive and make sure the direct their energies where they’re supposed to

Kaito is a really good wingman though (no pun intended)

I’d wager Akako, Hakuba, and Aoko also add their own support skills to the team

Hakuba does research to try and figure out wtf is up with these antagonistic street performers

Akako uses her magic to help them out in really sticky situations and also probably gets really curious about the Kwamis/magical aspect of things because this is the first time she’s ever met people like this and it’s neat

Aoko still doesn’t know about Kid’s identity but she and Hakuba both have the police and brains on their side so they probably work together a lot (but Aoko doesn’t know she’s finding/giving information that will help them, and when she brings police forces in and stuff she thinks it’s to arrest Kid but it’s mostly as a distraction to save their butts when a battle starts going south)

I also think one of the most heart breaking aspects of this crossover would be that Felix’s dad was the ultimate bad guy all along, because being so close to/loving his dad as much as he did/does, Kaito would probably not react well to finding out that this guy was trying to destroy his own son whether he knew it or not

(Honestly I just want cheesy civilian interactions and then lots of superhero/vigilante angst)

This is a really quick and not super well thought out list but I wanted to at least jot down the initial thoughts I had, might try to flesh out the idea later or write something for it myself, and even do some OC stuff (because it’s what I do best lol)

Pre3D Felix is such a delight. His sour behavior is offset completely by how chronically unlucky he is. Which is even further emphasized by how lucky Marinette is, despite her viewing herself as unlucky. She trips? Well she just saved her butt from getting smashed into a wall by a runaway cart, only to have Felix get hit instead. He leaves a Felix shaped dent in the lockers.

Actually, I lost. I lost big time.

I don't like GDV. He's always been a statement to fans that they're wrong for enjoying pre 3D ideas and concepts like Felix Sphinx and the Null plots.

And now that GDV has the dog miraculous, I can't write a dog!Felix with canon powers because it'll look like I'm following in the footsteps of Canon and trying to apply it to pre3D!Felix.

It's a bad look. And I actually think I'm genuinely upset by it. I think I'm going to be taking a break for a while.

It's cool to see people getting interested in Null in my notes

PV failed to show some of the coolest parts of the Pre3D plotlines so any attention to the artbook plots is... So very good
