Highlighting a few places from the USA that represent places I love for Independence Day. These are the iconic Redwoods of California. I was saddened to learn that Redwoods I once walked through were scorched by fire in recent years. The redwoods have stood as sentinels in costal forests for centuries. Today is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day... 

Today is an annual event to help raise awareness of the importance of a child's mental health.  Mental health is a serious issue, especially among children.  Data from the CDC, one out of six children between two and eight has a mental or behavioral disorder.  Children are our future and precious resource, so we need to help those with serious mental illness and severe emotional disturbance with full-time care and treatment, including their families.  

Today we need to encourage families and children to seek therapy so they can live a better and happier life.
