[Was thinking about baby Shaun, which led to thinking about companions and baby Shaun, and now I like to think that Preston would've made a really lovely babysitter]

my favorite thing in fo4 is that one drug den where every NPC bugs out and does infinite jet next to a trash fire

trans people are not subsets of easily packaged ideologies that you can argue away. I don't care how many books or essays you've written if you can't engage with trans people like they are people. I don't wish for my or my friends' lived experiences to be used as talking points in some abstract theoretical argument. hypotheticals wither away in the face of real people, real lives, real friendships and real connections. if your thoughts when engaging with a trans person are about how you can convince them to detransition or to mull over the heresies you think they subscribe to, you are not seeing the person in front of you.
Jesus looked at people and saw them.
do you see me?

Holy fuck I just got a theory...
While playing DE, I noticed some lines with voice acting sound... Off. Like not bad, just like they're lacking some pace or inflection. Then I realized that it's because the lines were probably recorded with them talking on their own, as Harry does not have a voice actor.
If your record lines on your own, without an interlocutor, you will sometimes sound off, since you don't have anyone to create that interchange. Which is completely normal and makes sense.
Then I remembered how a lot of people criticize Preston voice actor, for how he sounds. But what if? What if by the time they were recording Preston's voice they still hadn't decided they wanted Nate to have a voice actor? What if Preston's voice actor had to record all his lines on his own, without an interlocutor? And the other voice actors didn't?
Like, I really dislike how people criticize Preston as a character for multiple reasons, BUT the voice acting part surely has an explanation, and it's most probably on Bethesda's fault; so I don't get why they're always pilling on Preston and his voice actor.
