Siren Sunrise ~ Next Gen

The daughter of Celestia and Queen Novo, born through the "Hybrid Gen" project in my next gen AU, True Colors!

~Hybrid Gen~

Once Fluttershy and Discord concieved the current age alicorns made an agreement to bear children with other royals of different species. There's only so many alicorns of age, so not every species has an official pairing, as well as a Dragon hybrid happening without intervention (SweetieSpike ftw) so the species chosen were Changelings, Hippogryphs/Seaponies, and Kirin.

~ Celestia X Novo ~

Princess Celestia was paired with Queen Novo of the Seapony species. Their relationship started out purely political, but they soon grew closer and closer. Both creatures had experience ruling a kingdom, both had many stories other creatures simply couldn't relate to. While trying to make small talk Celestia mentioned having an experience on the throne that caused Novo to not only relate to, but began a true adoration twords the ex royal.

In my AU Celestia's first partner was a mare, so a WLW relationship is absolutely not out of the norm. Having a child together while getting along so well, it only made sense that they grew to be a pair.

~ Siren Sunrise ~

Siren is the only seapony/hippogryph that has a unicorn horn as well as possessing unicorn magic. While Tia was nervous about her daughter becoming an outcast much like her youth, she was very happily suprised when Siren Sunrise fully adapted to being of the status she had been born with. By no means was she shy about using her magic, in fact it was one of her favorite things. Manipulating the water and seafoam to make shapes, being able to bring seashells to her friends without lifting a fin, it was all just so fascinating to those that surrounded her.

Skystar and Siren aren't the closest of sisters, Skystar kind of rightly feels as though Siren outshined her at least for time being in their mother's eyes. As they grew up they grew distant, but once they were old enough to see past their petty grudges twords one another they became best friends.

Siren Sunrise absolutely loves her half cousin Orion Starswirl, Luna's child, and if she is venturing outside of Mount Eris Siren will absolutely make the effort to stop by Canterlot and visit! Being born from the same 'project' they have always been able to confide in eachother while also having eachother as proof their parents would never treat them differently than if they were full ponies.

Said in last post, I'm a fan of when opposites attract. And who is more opposite than Discord and Celestia~!? I love they had history together. Discord is a lil shit, but something had to have happened for him to go AWOL. I looove the idea they had feelings for each other long ago. Discord went batshit for power. They definitely are sweet on each other from their interactions. Especially season 4 finale where he gave her flowers jal;fjkas;ff Fluttercord is cute, but I prefer them as besties. In another AU, maybe they'd be a thing. But Dislestia holds me heart forever! Ignoring seasons 8-9, a bit after season 7 she & Dissy finally owned up to their feelings. With a bit of nudging from Flutters and Luna. It was so easy to get back into routine for them. Discord helped Tia relax and find time for FUN. And Celestia helped Discord channel is powers for greater good and enjoy some cake. They forgave each other for the past, moving forward. It's nice to have someone to talk to about the loneliness of being alone for a long time. They were happy as can be.  The movie happens and Queen Novo comes out of the sea. She and Tia had a short fling before the Storm King hit. Those feelings bubble up to the surface again. Discord has an eye on all things and figures out pretty easily. He's cool with bringing in Novo. She's fun to make fluff up like a chicken when he can. Novo is hard to freak out though & can fight back. Dissy likes! And Novo won't admit at first, but he's a charmer and a goofball. Tia is ecstatic to be with the two creatures she loves most. Takes Discord and Novo to fall for one another due to them bumping heads so much. But after some spa treatments and goofing off together, they slowly love each other. Novo has retired as queen, allowing 'their' daughter to take over as she was ready. She and Dissy enjoy spa days moreso when Tia can join. They're a bunch of goofballs together. A very happy poly power couple!

favorite thing about them: she’s a very strong, mature and good-hearted queen for her people… fiercely protective of their ways and seems to carry a good bit of snark to her in certain scenes :p

least favorite thing about them: her strict attitude, while understandable, did border on overly-harsh in certain scenes… and it didn’t help that she didn’t get a whole lot of solo focus for herself to feel fleshed out away from that image ^^;

favorite line: “did I not say don’t tell them? but hey, I’m just the queen. don’t mind me…”

brOTP: novo and the other princesses (celestia, luna & cadence) would all make for an interesting royal friend group now that novo’s back living on the surface ^^

OTP: celestia x novo, they seem like they’d be a cute pair of queens together~
