King Abdullah II, Queen Rania and Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan attended the national event marking the Silver Jubilee, held on the 25th Accession to the Throne Day on 9 June 2024.
Upon Their Majesties’ arrival to the event venue surrounded by the Red Motorcade, the national anthem was played and Royal Jordanian Air Force fighter jets conducted a fly-past.
Around 9,000 Jordanians attended the event, including members of the Royal family, senior officials and officers, and diplomats from Arab and foreign countries.
The event highlighted Jordan’s achievements throughout a quarter of a century, through a military parade by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and security agencies, showcasing the latest developments in these national institutions, reflecting the high professionalism and commitment of its personnel.
Around 3,200 personnel from all military and security formations and units marched before the stands.
The military parade also showcased various JAF vehicles, including tanks, cannons, and other weapons recently introduced to service, as well as defence machinery manufactured by the Jordan Design and Development Bureau, along with air shows by the Royal Jordanian Air Force, and free falling paratroopers.
The JAF musical band also performed at the event.
During the event, His Majesty and the attendees saluted border guards and anti-terrorism troops, as well as cadres who participated in airdrops to Gaza and worked at the field hospitals in the strip, in recognition of their efforts, and their role in safeguarding Jordan’s stability.
The event also featured cultural and folklore segments representing all governorates performed by over 1000 young men and women, with 12 floats representing each governorate.
A group of young Jordanians performed the Silver Jubilee anthem and another national song composed for the occasion.

Reflections on a Year of Reading Saudi Arabian Literature
List of Books
- Jean P. Sasson “Princess”
- Rajaa Alsanea “Girls of Riyadh”
- Moustafa Bayoumi “How Does it Feel To Be a Problem”
Based on what I read, I learned that Saudi Arabia is filled with resources that come scarce today. After reading Jean P. Sasson’s “Princess”, I came to realize that despite women being poor in power as opposed to men, Saudi Arabia has a huge wealth of oil. Saudi Arabia is also made up of desert plateau, so the temperature is hot. Hence why both Jean P. Sasson’s “Princess” and Rajaa Alsanea’s “Girls of Riyadh” show that in Saudi Arabia, men and women’s clothing are loose and tend to block their skin from the sun.
Based on Jean P. Sasson’s “Princess” I learned that back then, Saudi Arabia had treated women like their only purpose was to serve men. Women were punished and tortured, some even killed for rebellion against their fathers, brothers, and even sons. Men in Saudi Arabia could marry more than one woman and even leave their wives if they didn’t give them any children (preferably sons). Women were tied down by rules that they had to follow in order to even be considered marriageable or pure because if they weren’t, they’d bring shame on their families and possibly be punished by the man of the house. Back then women were forced to abide by the man’s rules of religion and their ways of living.
One thing I learned about the culture in Saudi Arabia, is that every individual views their culture differently. Depending on whether you are born and raised in Saudi Arabia or you are raised in the western hemisphere, you view your culture differently. In Girls of Riyadh, There were many examples on how four girls from Saudi Arabia lived their lives and viewed culture differently. Coming from the first book I read, “Princess” I was surprised to see that the girls of Riyadh didn’t follow the same guidelines as princess Sultana did. Michelle, the girl who was half Saudi Arabian, ended up moving to dubai because she felt that she didn’t fit in with the western or middle-eastern culture. While another girl named Lamese had the “happy ending” since she was the only one who found happiness with her significant other and business while still holding on to her culture.
What I learned from “Princess” by Jean P. Sasson is that women are strong and they are often mistreated due to not looking like it. I’ve learned that women are in fact stronger than men despite having no authority against the men in their family. From the book “Girls of Riyadh” by Raaja Alsanea, I learned that everyone views the world differently despite being born from the same cultural background. Your life, culture, religion will be perceived differently due to how you perceive the world. Lastly, What I learned from “How Does It Feel To Be A Problem?” by Moustafa Bayoumi is that differences shouldn’t matter. Something we struggle with every day is that we see people from where they come from instead of who they are as a person. It’s an issue that has been going on for hundreds of years and something that we shouldn’t be dealing with now. What I learned about myself is that despite not coming from Saudi Arabia, I can see and feel some of the things that the characters in these stories have gone through. Women being treated unfairly in “Princess” plays a part in my life as a young woman growing up in a world of sexist men. “Girls of Riyadh” is about four girls who are figuring themselves out while experiencing love, culture, and friendships. I feel myself going through the same thing in senior year alone, finding myself as I go off to college and start a new chapter in my life like when Michelle moved to dubai to start her new chapter. Lastly I learned that “How Does It Feel To Be A Problem?” is about struggles with racism and discrimination. As a person of color that is something that I’ve gone through since the day I was born, and something that I’ll have to keep going through until the end.

Princess rajwa name is pronounced exactly like how Prince Hussein pronounce it & slightly like Queen Rania, stressing the J the letter ج because it comes from Classical Arabic the Fussha not the modern slang Arabic so it has to be pronounced as it in proper Arabic. her name means a deep wish or a deep hope & it is close to the name Rajaa’ رجاء which mean the hopefulness or the way of pleasing to God or to anyone, a lot of Muslims pray & say:"Oh Allah, hope has ceased from everything except from You" in Arabic:“اللهم انقطع الرجاء الا منك”.
Thank youuu. 🤍 I am an Arab we pronounce it Rajwa too. I was just wondering about how do khaleejis pronounce it. Since she's Saudi!

No 4 – rumours  about CPH marrying rajaa and related posts. Some posts on tumblr praise rajaa and her family as hardworking royals than King, Queen and their children. Also one or two posts claims like rajaa is the only beautiful women. I accept she is beautiful like every other girls of her age with filters and photoshop. I feel like these rumours are spreader by rajaa or her mother itself. Doesn’t seems real.
I don't agree with the last statement. Let me tell you something. If they really launched the rumors they will ruin the relationship between them and king. So I don't think they started these rumors.

@poisonseer-rajaa   /   cont  from  here.
                                                         _____   【 🞮 】   _____
He listened to the explanation with a reserved sort of impatience;  not overt, certainly not noticeable, but present nonetheless.  The  balls  on this man had seemingly swelled to the size of watermelons with his impending death hanging over his head, and Edgar wholly intended  not  to allow him to revel in it.
❝ I’m afraid it’s a no from me, princess.  I don’t  fancy  dying!  You’re not going to drag me down with you. ❞   However, he’d somewhat concede:   ❝ Though, the near-omnipotence is a nice touch.  If I didn’t despise divinity so much, I might just have taken you up on that. ❞
Tumblr media
If Rajaa was going to die anyway, there were things he could take from him after the fact.  That was one of the perks of his deals:  if the person in question died before their end had been sealed, for whatever reason, Edgar was more than welcome to harvest whatever he liked.  Though he had little use for money personally, he often stole it to use as leverage in future transactions;  perhaps he’d have a potion or two on him that he could study;  perhaps he could even take a soul...  he could do it, he just chose not to most of the time for they had no worth to him personally.  Failing all else, he could  eat well.
❝ I will help you kill, though.  For my own benefit.  Feeding an entire creed isn’t an easy job, you know!  If you want to go down in a ball of fire, I’m more than happy to send you off.  I have plenty of power to spare without your fancy-schmancy hocus-pocus, my little warlock. ❞

No 3 – Rajaa just graduated from high school and attending uni. She has no any royal duties like CPH. But she And her brothers involves in public services and social activities like a heir to the throne. even she opened a childhood festival at Zaha centre in 2017 and 2018. Her mother is a chairperson which doesn’t mean rajaa is a heir to ghida’s position. She must earn it by herself. It seems like rajaa and her family is seeking attention from people.
Maybe you are right but you have to remember something that all the royal members are active but not all of them have their own social media accounts to share their work.
