Yo, this is my final drawing that I’d like to share that I did for my college art class, 5/5. I made this for my finals assignment, which I had to create something in a Pop Art style. Pop Art is bright, cheerful, and colorful and I wanted to reflect that mood in the subject matter. The word pop reminds me, of course, of bubblegum and pop music. Michael Jackson is the king of pop, and one of my all time favorite artists, and my fursona Sunny is listening to his grooving song called “Don’t Stop Til’ You Get Enough”!~ 💖🍬🌈 Pop Art burst Abstract Expressionism’s bubble of popularity in the 1950s, and Sunny is associated with bubbles, so I put one popping. Good day, everyone!!! Here’s the next artwork that I wanted to share that I did for my college art class, and it’s technically two pieces in one so 4/5! The assignment was to pick out a word and make it look like graffiti. Graffiti and street artists in general are super under appreciated, some of the murals they can do is insanely wicked, and I challenge and encourage everyone to support them more breed that creativity and commission them! If it’s not offensive then don’t cover their hard work and talent up. Street art brightens communities. 🖼🎨 This has my bubbly ninja fursona Akarui, and don’t be confused as Sunny’s just her in a modern setting. They’re hugging one of my dear @ambideviant45’s adorable characters named Sparky! Hi, so up next in showing off all of my drawings that I did for my Art Appreciation class is the abstract piece, this is 2/5.~ This is still featuring my fursona Akarui, but I had to figure out how to deconstruct her down some. It was fun to experiment and imagine her in some all unique styles. I did at first to just see how it’d look whip up a rough brainstorm idea of reusing the paint theme, but I wanted each one of these to have their own souls and identity (this one a sunny one instead of rainy, lol.~ 🤭^w^💙). Then I came up with the potential idea of my kitty blissfully lounging on a cafe table, and then I further simplified it down to a breakfast table. I simply call this one, “Good Morning!”, haha! I tried to simulate the abstract 1800-1900s style, and to honor one of my absolute favorite artists Vincent Van Gogh. I liked the thought of someone waking up early, and nursing their coffee while reminiscing reflecting upon about their nightly adventures. Hence Starry Starry Night in the cup.~🌌 I know the food choices all together may seem rather odd, but I drew a breakfast I’d personally enjoy eating. Fun fact, that’s a strawberry called purple wonder! Hiya peeps, yay, so I’m finally getting around to posting something here again!~😸✌️ Life has been interesting, busy, but good lately. Just recently graduated from my community college that was attending, and will continue my education in the fall to hopefully someday become an Art Therapist. I want to inspire and heal others through art. I just turned 20, which is wild, and a milestone that while when was younger in a darker headspace never thought I’d actually reach... Am in a period of many exciting transitions, I’m just grateful for everything that I have been given thus far, and I’m hyped to keep improving upon my art skills and wish to make others happy with my current and future posts. While these ain’t new drawings to me, they will be to you, dear lovely folks. I’ll be sharing here now, in each their own separate posts, a series of five drawings that I all did for my Art Appreciation class that I was taking this spring. This is 1/5.~ Some of these pieces I thought’d be fun to title, and I called this first one here “Wonder”! All of these will be featuring my fluffily sweet calico fursona called Akarui. The assignment asked one to pick out something to sketch out and make a realistic, abstract, and then lastly non-objective drawing of. This is my realistic drawing of her. I called it “Wonder” because she’s in utter awe at all of the different possibilities, color combinations, and things one could make. Life like paint is chaotic and messy, it can be scary and overwhelming if have a blank new canvas or chapter in front of you, but through the hazy swirls of uncertainty there’s also loud sparkling and bright splashes of fun and beauty to be had.
