Ok so that WIP tag thing with @krishna-sahacharini finally gave me the courage to do this , so presenting before all of my fellow Krishna Priya s here in Tumblr, my maiden work : GEETA GOVINDAM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Presenting Mouni Roy as Ratnagarh Kumari Geetanjali and Saurabh Raj Jain as Vaasudeva Shri Krishna
Geetanjali is the free minded and independent princess of the fictional kingdom of Ratnagarh with the thought of marriage miles away from her mind. With a loving , indulgent father and a rare , unheard of future as the Queen Regnant of her maiden kingdom , you would think she has the perfect life any girl would have ever wanted but it is not so.
The infamous Narakasura attacks Ratnagarh , leaving behind utter destruction in his wake and kidnaps the true gem of the kingdom of jewels , their beloved princess. The atrocities he commits against the captured princesses leaves a lasting trauma on their minds , leaving very little hope for their future and escape in their minds.
Hope comes in the form of the famed Scion of the Yadavas , Vaasudeva Krishna and his valiant wife , the Warrior Queen Satyabhama. They both put an end to the atrocities of Narakasura and rescue the sixteen thousand princesses the demon has captured , including Rajkumari Geetanjali. Even with her mind pleading with her to not to agree , she marries Dwarkesha , to rid her father and her kingdom of the bad name that comes with a ' tainted ' daughter , who has lived in a foreign man's house for a period of time.
The princess's life after marriage is not all bed of roses. The trauma she has endured and her earlier views about love and marriage , make it difficult for her to truly accept Shri Krishna as her husband. This is her story , a tale which tells us about how Geetanjali rises above her doubts and fears and grows to accept and love her ' Bhuvansaundara ' with all of her heart. A tale which gives us the message as to how Love can overcome all boundaries whether physical or not. A tale about the triumph of love against all odds.
So that's it for now guys. I'll try to post snippets and sneak peek a about Geeta Govindam as and when it is possible for me. Hope you all liked it !! ❤️❤️
