What’s the strangest applin you’ve encountered?
Avery here!
The professor asked me to answer this one as it is my area of expertise. When it comes to on Apple and I have to split it into two categories first category is applin hybrids wear them mixing with something else makes any interesting variation, and then the ones that are just applin , who ended up eating into something very odd. Strangers of the first category would have to be the Cherum hybrid for two major reasons, the first being the fact that they are absolutely minuscule. They have to be to be able to comfortably fit into cherries of all things, second, is that the scene to become basically conjoined upon integrating the cherry into their body is there to the only pick cherries with a conjoined stems. This leads to some interesting evolutionary consequences. This hybrid leans far more into the applin Side of things, but there are a few hangers from the Cherrim this can be seen from The blooming states both evolutions have.
The Flapple are once again tiny with a few unique traits. The largest, which is that the two Applin who inhabited The two different cherries are now conjoined at the hip The arms that face each other cradle the pit of the cherry and their Other hands hold wings, which the jointly flap together The top of their head has a flower that is either budding or open in strong sunlight.
As for the appletun they’re only about the size of an applin with a cute little cherry hats for the two heads that a sport and their two little leaves on the top, I replaced with two Cherry blossoms that similar to the Flapple’s. Some general, changes Two appearance that come with the line is a deep pink color, replacing the greens on their bodies. They’re shiny variance go for black cherries with attending shifts in coloration.
As for the other category it was a lemon variant that got into what their train loving refers to an ElDrItCh LeMoN the guy is massive and he can’t roll properly but that doesn’t seem to phase him as he lord of all the other applin in his grove

Greetings, Doctor Séraphi here. It is good to hear about Thorn’s evolution, speaking of the wyrmlings you brought to the sanctuary how is Chimera? Has his medical needs been met?
Oh thank you for the congratulations it's been a wild ride already. Ra is doing good! The medicine has been helping, it seems his hormones have calmed down which I am thankful for. Thank you so much again for looking them over when I brought them.

How’s Avaros the Welponze , and have you discovered anything new about them or their species?
Funny you should mention him as being Funny you should mention him as due to not so recent events I am currently not allowed to discuss due to it possibly “comprising an ongoing investigation” Avaros has now evolved!
Behold!
Tumblr media
With further research of the diary found in the Methuselah family manor house we found that the evolutions name is Denarag classification pending. He has grown to a rather prodigious 10 feet long and four feet high! He was rather miffed in this shot as he no longer fit under the furniture where he had stashed all his precious shinies, we did a fish them all out eventually. He has even claimed a small cave for himself though he still prefers to sleep with us so I currently think that he’s getting a place to store his hoard as it is cave with an entrance he can barely squeeze into. We have also seen him miraculously flying! Well flying is a bit of a stretch as it was more gliding but given his weight and the comparatively small size of his wings, and you really should not be able to do even that.
The more interesting thing is the way that his body has seemingly been completely coated in precious metals. I have no idea where he got the gold, but prior to his evolution he had apparently got his way into the silver supplements and eaten the lot before I went on the trip where the aforementioned events occurred. His skills also appear to be some sort of compound that has greatly increased the defensive capabilities of these precious metals. This is also getting him the steel typing.

3 and 24! -Rexi
3 what's one pokémon you would really like to have as a partner?
Of the Pokémon that I don’t have that I would want fall under one or both of the two categories, those being those it is straight up illegal to capture, and those that it is immoral to catch The epitome of this is my desire to have a Latias and Latios
24 what's the rarest pokémon you've met?
Now, that would depend On what you mean by “Met” if I can say, that means, simply observed, that would have to be the legendary Reshiram. If you mean met as in had an interaction with then a pair of Latias and Latios.

5 what's your favorite kind of pokéball
If we’re talking about aesthetics, I gotta go baseball. They’re just very cool looking now. If you’re talking practicality, gotta go with the dust bowl. Those things are pretty dang useful along with your average ultra ball for daytime use
15 what kinds of friends have you made on this website?
Well, I suppose of the people I would call friends we have Skeeter of @poke-entomology and Rexi of @dragonofthenorth all the other people I have conversed with I would say our more on acquaintance level.

Do you know about Koraidon? If so I wanna know how to better care for it, doing a good job already but I would like to get some advice from a professional on dragon types.
We don’t have any Concrete information about this Pokémon besides professor Methuselah’s copy of the Scarlet Book which has a depiction have a similar creature which may suggest that it came from the Paldean crater , if you’re looking for information on how best to take care of it, I think looking at another paldean native we could seem to share a lot of its morphology with ,Cyclizar, would be our best bet. When it comes to taking care of Cyclizar one of the most important thing is to ride them often or allow them a large amount of space in which they can run around a lot daily as these Pokémon require such exercises for both physical and mental health. I would suggest riding over just letting them run as Cyclizar seem to enjoy carrying thing you could however have a Pokémon ride instead if the Koraidon is okay with it. You may also have to deal with shedding I would guess that for the scaled portions of its body it will shed similar to humans losing skin the mor problematic will likely be when it molts its feathers as that will cause a mess.
On some general dragon type notes first I would find out if they are territorial if so section off a place either inside or outside for them. As they don’t seem able to fly you shouldn’t have to worry about air space.
Another important Factor to consider is hierarchy within your team. Establishing a set hierarchy through nonviolent social interaction is very important to avoid it becoming a violent interaction, this is best done by introducing Pokémon to each other within your presence, and the presence of whatever Pokémon would count as the “Alpha“ of the group so you can make sure it doesn’t get out of hand.
On a related note would you like to come to the sanctuary so we can give Koraidon a full medical examination? We are very interested in learning more about them on both a biological and behavioral level. We would foot the bill for a round trip plane ride for you if wish to.

Do you know of any Noivern variations?
Why yes I do! There are two major groups in hybrids and true variants. For the former there are two major strains, the first is the Zubat/noibat hybrid though most would say that it is a zubat hybrid more as it is noibat/zubat, noibat/golbat then noivern/crobat I personally think it in more Noivern based on the fact that the main body plan is Noivern line with the exception of the middle evolution where the golbat takes more president. One of the best things about. Wobat Hi, Brady is how very fluffy they are they are also able to “sing“ while it’s very melodious from a distance it’s not great to be directly nearby them at the time.
Now when it comes to variations outside of hybridization, you have a couple interesting candidates, such as what is known as the vampiric Noibat, this line externally has very little to distinguish it from normal Noibat However Inside their mouths are razor teeth that are designed to carve small incisions into much larger. Pokémon from which they will lick up the blood, healthy, large animal doesn’t notice this is from a compound in the noibat’s saliva that acts as a local anesthetic, and once they start laughing at the blood, it works as a anticoagulant. Once they evolve into Noivern they will completely abandon blood drinking as their primary form of sustenance, as they are far more capable of taking down prey now, they do have two razor fangs in the front of their mouth which are repurposed for more deadly bite. The second is the berry Noibat. These are primarily herbivorous, eating berries as their main diet. One of the on the parts of this variation is the fact that the.Noibat I rather large while the Noivern is much smaller than usual.

Hello, I wanted to check to see how the water dragon type Monferno/Monferal I left in your care is doing? Has he evolved yet? Due to the DNA I used being from a 2 stage line I fear it may not be able to. -Prof. Wolfsbane
No, he has not evolved as of yet. We are currently uncertain whether he is or not able to. We did have some plans to do a evolite Test soon, so will get back to you on that once it comes up. He is settled well here and he seems to enjoy the damp enclosure and the trees and Trfion has enjoyed the occasional visits to his pool

So has Níðhöggr’s always had issues with chewing and biting?
He has indeed!as I have previously mentioned that’s how I first met him, via him biting me on the leg.Thankfully after the Pawniard incident he is more careful about what he actually tries to eat.
As far as I can tell he never really grew out of that phase of Deino where they examine the world with their mouths. Another part of it is he just really likes to chew on things, Dr. Seraphi Told me that it is most likely that he enjoys the feeling of chewing more than he is what he is chewing or being too hungry. Currently his favorite item to chew is old tires, he seem to enjoy their rubbery texture.
As for biting him, thankfully we’ve been able to get him to only do “love bites” he generally does this to new people or to people he’s known for a long time, the former is gentle nips once or twice, more akin to gumming with his secondary mouths. The latter involves him latching on with one of his secondary mouths and gently gumming you for a few minutes, it’s honestly kind of endearing.

Do you work with any Dragon variations or subspecies?
Why yes we do! I will soon tell the story of a Charizard/Dragonite hybrid came to us who we are currently working on helping his PTSD, as for variants we have a few the first and foremost is… ya know I’ve never actually written his name before… I’ll just sound it out for y’all. Yor-E-us is a lake Variant Drampa who has been in the lake as far back as the records go even back to when professor Methuselah‘s ancestors for settle this valley centuries ago. And he is gigantic, he Is water dragon type though with all the moss and algae that grows on him you think he’s a grass type, we’ve looked and it doesn’t seem to be causing any harm so we leave it be since he seems to like it. Another variant we have is shortstack , A pygmy variant Tyrantrum he is about half The size of your average Tyrantrum and he is rather friendly. The greatest amount of sub species comes from Avery’s collection of different apple splint evos! I believe he currently has documented The following outside of Galarian sweet and tart: Of the flapples,Granny Smith, pink ladies, McIntosh and Empire. Of the Appletun Fuji , Ambrosia and Golden delicious. I don’t think we have any other sub species but if you do come across any that need a home feel free to send them our way!

(@ask-professor-wolfsbane) So um, remember those hybrids I offered you a few months back, the water type Chimchar (Chimchurn) evolved, and it seems to be a water/dragon type, this is very odd, and may be a bit out of line to request, but when I pick up Elma later today, would you mind me leaving the little guy there? I have enough dragons as is and with highly limited space, his small stature might make it to where he would be hurt over territory at my lab, please get back to me as soon as you can.-Professor Wolfsbane.
Tumblr media
Well, that is interesting information, I think we can accommodate them! before it wouldn’t have contributed to research so I couldn’t justify the expense to myself. We do have a few non dragons here but all of them are either a staff Pokémon or important to the health of one of the residents.

16 what habit does one of your pokémon have that's unusual for its species?
Well, when it comes to this question, I would have to say there are two of my Pokémon that stand out in this situation the first is Níðhöggr , While exploring the world with your mouth is not unusual in the line it is unusual for a Hydreigon to continue to do so, and as you can see by the picture, I have on my FQA… it has had some unfortunate consequences. No, this is not technically a “habit“ Kitsura my ninetales/zoroark Hybrid has suffered from narcolepsy from his youth

Hi, sorry I disappeared off the face of the earth, I had some identity stuff to figure out but I'm back now, by the way how's the Drakto I left in your care a while back? I hope it's doing well. ~Professor Wolfsbane
Oh, it has been a while I hope you are as physically well as you are emotionally at the moment. They are doing pretty well we managed to get the tyrant line to understand that they were not on the menu and they’ve been thriving in our little subtropical habitat, they have been enjoying the ferns that we grow in there, so I suppose that’s probably close to what they ate naturally as They don’t seem to have a very strong bite force, which is kind of ironic, given who they’re living with. Oddly though they also seem to enjoy eating moss Which I didn’t see coming.

How did you and your mentor Methuselah meet and what made you decide to become a professor?
How I first met him is actually a rather mundane event in my life, one of my best friends is Daniel Methuselah, He’s professor Methuselah‘s grandson and he’s currently working at the sanctuary in the role of Groundskeeper you could say, he’s in charge of making sure that all the Pokémon are happy within their environments whether the natural or artificial ones we have created. We were neighbors and we got along very well. The first time I met Professor Methuselah was when he was coming to visit for the holidays. he complimented me on how good Dracōnes look and I then proceeded to gush about all the research I had done a bell properly taken care of Dratini after I won him from the slots. We then proceeded to have deep chats about dragon tapes as I told him all I knew and he listened with the congenial air somebody who already knows All the information they’re being told but can’t help but enjoy the enthusiasm in which it’s being told to them, he then proceeded to tell me about the legendary dragons of Unova, I listened with wrapped attention, something I don’t believe I’ve told you guys he’s a phenomenal storyteller, after that I always came over to their house when he was visiting and eventually I just started to see him as My grandpa too. After I turn 16 he offered me summer work at the sanctuary after I had done some journeying of my own. I jumped at the chance as well I wasn’t bad at battling I didn’t intend to make a career of it. Then sometime along the way of working there part time to full-time and going out on research expeditions with Professor Methuselah I just Saturday wanted to research the type that had always filled my mind with wonder. Professor Methuselah was Pleased when I told him and offered to become my official mentor and the rest Is history.
But if I really think about the moment, THE Moment, that I wanted to dedicate my life to the research of these wonderful creatures It was a rather small thing really. it was about a year into my full-time at the sanctuary, most of that was helping take care of Pokémon and being an assistant with the paperwork to the professor. then the professor told me that his Haxorus, Occam’s eggs were hatching that day and he want me and Daniel to be there so I went and got him and we both came to observe the event. both Occam and his mate we’re comfortable with us As were family. When those little Axew Popped out of their shells, one of them totaled over to me then sat down and looked at me. I didn’t know it then but at that moment looking at this adorable little child my heart had made a decision that had been in the making over the years I have looked at these creatures and listened to the information Professor Matthews little of me and the stories. It would take a year for me to Fully process this Into the articulate desire to be a professor specializing in the dragon type as a whole. But after that point I diligently studied to be able to pass the exams And get my professorship.

Hey sorry for the long absence there are a few reason that boil down to a combination of burnout and lack of asks and emotional turmoil this summer I am working on an original post but asks are desperately needed at the mo.
