Retrofittable turning assistant with integrated driver assistance systems for CV vehicles: Knorr-Bremse TruckServices & Mobileye, (Intel), enter into partnership
In recent years, the topic of safety of pedestrians and cyclists in road traffic has increasingly become the focus of public attention. The European Commission has recently set the goal that in the coming years, all trucks and buses will be equipped with driver assistance systems that detect pedestrians and cyclists in the immediate vicinity of vehicles and warn drivers of potential collisions.
From 2022 on, new truck and bus models released in the European Union will need to be equipped with a turning assistant system and from 2024 this will apply to all new registrations of trucks and buses.
The new cooperation between Mobileye and Knorr-Bremse TruckServices works well in this respect: In collaboration with Mobileye, Knorr-Bremse TruckServices is offering from autumn 2019 the new turning assistant with integrated driver assistance systems ProFleet Assist+ as retrofit solution. In addition, the companies plan to further intensify their cooperation in the future and to provide their customers with additional traffic safety products. @KnorrBremseAG @Mobileye
