Guardian Player & Character

Another piece of art of My sona and her player Character Robin.

Still not finalised designs but hope l'm making a bit of progress still. At least i seem to be improving at art in general even if I'm not happy with my designs yet.

This was meant to be a sorta hopeful poster with my new catch phrase thing but I don't think the words really worked right so l might have to try again.

Omni “Alice” | She/Her | 23 yrs old

Hi I’m Omni or Alice, I’m an animator and artist who likes making stories about hope to help people overcome tough times with their mental health.

I have Anxiety, Depression and am neurodivergent so I have a fair amount of struggles of my own and hope to be able to use my mental health journey to tell a story that can help other people.

I’ve come a long way in terms of emotional maturity since I first made this account and I still have some ways to go so I hope some of you guys can be along with me for that journey.

Your typical boundary stuff:

- please keep me out of online discourse, dramas and stuff like that. It’s stressful for me and an important boundary to respect for my mental health

- be respectful and understanding of people different then you

- nothing nsfw it makes me uncomfortable

- please don’t ask for donations and stuff I can’t help and try and stay away from the news when I can for my mental wellbeing.

My Guardian Spirit sona and her player character for my project

First progress on this project in a while and I think I might finally have a rough design for my sona which I’m happy with, the guardian spirit player tomboy aesthetic was too specific for my own good ^^’

Probably will get a few tweaks but I’ve finally made progress so I should be happy with that, this form is kinda like. Magical girl transformation she can do on the game world.

The red head is her player character. Anyway hope you like it

Main group for my personal project, currently with the WIP name- Project Paranet

It’s a paranormal/scifi story based around a group of players and their self aware character companions getting stuck in a digital world in attempt to uncover a mystery to do with their favourite online game.

It also has themes about overcoming things like anxiety and depression and being understanding to people different from you. It’s a very personal project as one of the main characters is a fictionalised version of myself and I hope to capture some of my struggles with my mental health and trying to stay hopeful. Maybe I can even give some people some comfort that they aren’t alone with this kinda stuff, I want to make something like that to help people in a similar way to how the owl house helped me stay hopeful when I was struggling.

there isn’t much to say about this one just a concept image of my main group in the digital world this Time trying to show the players as more incorporeal then the first time.

Mainly just finished this of to get it of my WIP list tbh, not sure how close this will be to their final designs ^^’

Some work I did on the concept of Players in Meta games and different Archetypes those players may fit into.

I haven’t got a version I’m happy with at the moment but hopefully a final version should come soon.

I think the only one of my original six I think I’m happy with is the Guardian type, which I may have given more thought due to it being my own type. You can see an exploration of a more up to date design near the top. Was trying to go with a techy angel aesthetic.

These are my notes of the current WIP types

Guardian - A player who wants to guide the game world to find a happy ending. (A bit of a mixture of the original guardian type along with the angel type as i realised they where pretty similar) maybe with a bit of emphasis on using the game world to help cope with the complexities or reality and to feel like they’re making a difference

Companion - This one is very self explanatory, a player who wants to befriend the characters and take part in their world. From the feedback I’ve gotten this seems the most common type.

Explorer - (Basically what completionists turned into) people who re playing games to see new things and have new expertises. Both includes people who want to see everything and those who are just curious.

Mentor - The parental type players. They want the best for their characters but can sometimes put what they want for the world over what the people in it actually want. (This one is actual more like the original angel type now I think about it) they look out for their characters needs but there’s also an aspect of control and overprotective-ness. I made this one with Niko from Oneshot in mind.

Puppet master/Overseer - The Player type who views the story world as as a plaything not concerned with what that means for the characters or not. They merely want what is most Intresting or fun. (Probably what the demon/tricker types became only with more of an uncaring attitude then an intentionally malicious one)

Pixel Art - Player/Guardian Spirit Sona

Since I’ve been struggling with art block a bit it was suggested that I try something different so I attempted to make some sprites since other people in the Deltarune player fandom have been making them (vaguely inspired by the Deltarune art style but with some tweaks from other styles I like)

The first row is based on my own personal project #projectparanet (this is a very wip design of her player/spirit form)

The second row is based on my Deltarune Player who I’ll hopefully post some refs for soon when I finish redesigning her

And the Third are my Baten Kaitos Guardian Spirit sona

Haven’t done pixel art in a while so actually surprised how well these came out

WIP of a meta player comic I’m working in for the #batenkaitos fandom

As for meta players I draw a lot of my playersona/self insert based both on my favourite games with meta themes and I’m also working in my own project called #projectparanet (the tags in this post all actually have a space inbetween the words but I can’t add that in the main text ^^’) which is my own web comic that I’m working on with meta themes and also themes of overcoming mental health struggles.

I hope one day I will be able to animate it.

For my meta player art (for various fandoms) I recommend the tags #infopage and #metanarratives as that’s what a label most of my art with those themes with also #project Paranet but since I haven’t gotten to far with the development there isn’t much there yet)

Anyway hope you like my stuff, I always appreciate meeting another meta themes fan

Still trying to figure out if I want to make a new account or not

I kinda want to come back here I’m just hesitant as Tumblr kinda reminds me of some of my Silly past mistakes when it comes to maturing, dealing with feelings and social interactions) and I thought a new account might help me mentally find a fresh start

Feel free to ask questions about the OCs if you want, not all of their designs are up to date as these are a bit old

maybe they could have lines of code visible on their skin or be translucent like ghosts?

I was planning on their incorporeal forms (how players naturally appear in game worlds, which is like a digital manifestation of the players soul/spirit) being pretty simple and polygonal

Maybe I could use binary or code for the highlights in their eyes and anywhere else as well, that might work well.

They are probably at least a bit translucent although I haven’t quite figured out how it works yet, thanks for the ideas.

A brief explanation of my player lore along with some rough designs for the redesign of my Deltarune and baten kaitos players that I’m working on

Guardian Spirit powers - Baten Kaitos comic

At last the Baten Kaitos comic based on the weird spirit attack glitch that I experienced in the celestial alps is complete. Took me a while to finish and kinda annoyed at myself for not figuring out a way to show my spiritsona’s expression at the end but I’m mostly happy with how it came out.

Hopefully we’ll get back into making comics soon, maybe some more fan comics but most of my plans are based on my personal project - Project Paranet

Anyway hope you like my best attempt to convey my confusion somewhat within the game world.
