All threaded up and ready to go. Mistakes in the threading of these #film #projectors can be potentially catastrophic both for the presentation on #screen and the #35mmfilm print itself. If one of these rollers gets skipped or left open, the film will bunch up in the head of the #projector. These older Century heads have no automatic shut offs or fail safe mechanisms for problems of that kind, which means the film will just keep feeding and feeding. For those that have had this happen or witnessed it, the experience evokes the Sorceror’s Apprentice sequence of Fantasia when Mickey’s once-helpful brooms get out of control and leave him drowning.
