I guess it’s time for a year-end recap of photographs I took this year. So it’s just fitting for me to place here an all-Manila photoset to represent some of my best shots for the year. Manila played a huge role for my #ProjectJuan365. It has been the location for 85% of my shoots for the year, which is why I fell in love with the historic city even more. Without the project, I wouldn’t be able to push myself to shoot subjects or parts of Manila I thought I wouldn’t be able to walk alone. It has been a roller coaster ride but I enjoyed every bit of it. I really appreciate all messages I’ve been getting from people because of my dedication for the project. I hope inspired you guys to shoot more, and inspire you to visit Manila more. Thanks guys!
I’m really excited to share what’s in store for 2020! Hope you could keep on supporting my works (and get me for shoots/project😂). #SinoPinas #SiManila
17th entry for the year was an out of town trip, my first solo travel and plane ride. And it’s in the most beautiful city outside Manila, Iloilo. I’ve been here 4 times already which is why I’m quite confident with this trip, but it was my first time doing a photowalk around the city. I’m really happy with how the walk turned out, and every people I encountered were so open and nice. So yeah, here are some of the gems I found around town. I would never get tired of this place.
Highlight from my first day of Ati-Atihan Festivities in Kalibo, Aklan. This was year 2 celebrating the “Mother of Philippine Festivals”, and no regrets. Traveled here solo, and met up with friends and new friends who were all really accomodating. Plus, free drinks everywhere!
Tried something new with the first photo and created a banner. You might see this type of layout in my future posts! Here’s Day 2 from my #ProjectJuan365!
Pre-Translacion of Black Nazarene Procession happens every January 7 of the year. This is where each groups parade their own Black Nazarenes and receiev blessings at the Quiapo Church in Manila. This is then followed by the official procession happening every January 9 of the year.
So this is the 4th entry for my #ProjectJuan365! If you wanna get to know the latest from this project, be sure to follow me on my instagram.com/litratonijuan wherein I’m currently on the 314th entry already.
Translacion of the Black Nazarene across the streets of Manila wherein millions of devotees gather to show their love and support. This happens every 9th of January.
Since I’ll be posting everything for my #ProjectJuan365 this year, I’ll start with the first one which was the “salubong” celebration for the year 2019! Here are some shots taken past midnight last January 1.
