The acidity comes from the Porters Perfection, the body and the big, bold tannins are thanks to the Yarly Mill and a light freshness and fragrance is contributed by the Sweet Coppin. IMHO this combo brings a mostly summer fruity note... I can’t decide if I get pineapple or orange, either way I’d rather it was more apple if you catch my drift? After another mouthful I decide it’s an orange peel taste, but they could just be the colour of this cider playing with my mind! It’s a good off dry cider though and it’s another one that wine drinkers will love like it’s one of their own! It’s sweeter than the other ciders I’ve had by Perrys, with flavours of sugary candy, browning apples and honey. It’s medium bodied with perhaps more carbonation then I initially thought as I get some small prickles over my tongue. There’s the addition of stewed spiced apple and perhaps peach like flavours in my first mouthful. It’s a dark yellow, straw-like colour with a short-lived fizz, which suits me... I’m not a fan of carbonation.
