The last week has been an incredible world wind with judging at ProStart Nationals in Baltimore and then traveling to Ohio the next day.  With the help of great friends and family, I was able to get through it all with a smile on my face.  Also, I was drinking a lot of tea to keep going.  Traditionally, I only drink 3 cups max in 24 hours to keep my caffeine intake low.  Well, I know I went over that and one of the teas that I was consuming was a loose tea from Yunnan Sourcing.

Feng Qing Golden Pekoe #100 was an amazing addition to my travel bag this week.  Not only is it a great tea and affordable, but it’s also so easy to drink.  I was able to sip on this all day long and enjoyed it immensely.  I’m a huge fan of ginger and golden malt and this tea was full of these characteristics.  Just lovely and easy drinking, this one is a winner.  They have a limited stock so I would suggest picking some up very soon.

And with the SC State competition here in Greenville for the first time, to get local chefs to come to watch these amazing aspiring chefs in the nations premier HS culinary competition. that was my plan for all of highschool. then I became suddenly and unexpectedly much more disabled my senior year and decided I had to go to college instead. I was never supposed to be in college I was supposed to be at culinary school with all my prostart friends we were supposed to become chefs together and I didn't make it. cooking was what saved me from depression it was what I saw myself doing for so long and that all changed so quickly and I just. grieve so much.

WILD train of events but i was thinking about napoleons and there was a lemon in front of me and I suddenly had a visceral memory of making some sort of sweet cream filling that had lemon juice as an ingredient but i didnt keep any of our competition recipes when i moved so i decided to try and contact my hs prostart teacher to see if she still had them but i couldn't remember her name so i went to my hs website to look at the class and there was a different teacher listed who's name i recognized but couldnt figure out from where and then it hit me that its one of my cooking teammates who is now apparently teaching the class that we took together?????
