interesting how the distrust of media/journalists is seen on both the radical right and the radical left (for essentially the same reasons), always with one or two (heavily biased) sources as exceptions.
yes, as a leftist i DO think that most media has heavy corporate influence, but i don't think that that's a reason to completely discount it. plus it's absolutely important to get news from a diverse group of sources with different political leanings, because at the end of the day the truth is what's the most important and that's one of the best ways to get all sides of the story, especially when it comes to politically charged news.
by labeling news, media, and journalism as corporate sock puppets, we isolate ourselves from information and encourage others to do the same. information will virtually always be delivered with some kind of bias and the solution to that isn't to stop consuming it. blind trust in media is harmful too, for similar but opposite reasons- you take everything you hear at face value. the best approach is to use critical thinking skills to evaluate what you should take from each individual source and story you come across, to determine what the truth really is. if you're able to do that, and at least somewhat divorce the media you consume from its bias, that skill will be useful to you for your whole life. to be honest it's something i'm still working on, but i'm getting there.
i just thought i'd bring this up since i've seen a lot of "the media is subliminally promoting corporate interests to unsuspecting readers/viewers", which in my opinion is a whole lot of horseshit. fearmongering and distrust ironically create a prime environment for indoctrination and propaganda, and are generally just not good for anyone, so we should be careful, i think, to not let those things consume us.

Screaming into the void
No one is going to fucking see this so I'm just going to rant here. I want to rip my hair out and scream, it's all too much, honestly. I've been trying to upkeep and balance a shit ton of social media to promote my works, and for what?! No one cares about my works, my book failed in a huge way upon launch, and it's emphasized how important launches even are.
The idea of having to upkeep a blog and newsletter every single week along with everything else is just too fucking much. Everyone screams 'oh newsletters are so important' yada yada, what the fuck do I even say? I feel like I'm just being made into a content treadmill. I can't keep pumping out things on a constant fucking basis, and yet, that's the only FUCKING way to grow or get anywhere! To dance like a puppet in front of people demanding more more more more more ....
Gods I hate how I'm feeling right now. And really, what's the point? I made myself into a content treadmill and STILL no one gives a fuck about what I create. I'm so godsdamn TIRED. It's either that or I'm a corporate servant still treated like dirt.
My brain's been out of it for a while, it's now all hitting me like a wall.

Meet The Shot Blast Media Team: Our Favourite Movies
The Shot Blast Media team are a small, experienced and captivated team who are incredibly passionate about bringing creativity to the video production industry. In this blog , you will learn about the team’s favourite movies, why they enjoy working in the video production industry, and a little bit more about their career background! Lotty Wiltshaw , Director, formed Shot Blast Media in 2012 with one purpose in mind: to produce corporate videos that would go above and beyond a simple portrayal of what her clients do. Lotty specialises in creative storytelling by using a multitude of skills acquired over a career which spans many years in video creation & production. Lotty’s previous years of experience working across Television Production for the BBC has also helped push her creative production skills forward as Director at Shot Blast Media. When she’s not working, she loves adventures. Lotty is always looking for a new city or country to explore, taking in the scenery, enjoying the food and getting involved with the local arts and music, as well as spending quality time with her family. What is your favourite film? My favourite film is Shawshank Redemption. It’s a fantastic story. Very moving with compelling characters and sends out a message of hope. Well written, well acted and well filmed too. All round perfect movie in my eyes. What do you like about working in the video production industry? We get to tell lots of stories, our own and other peoples whilst getting behind the scenes of businesses and seeing things we don’t often get to see. That’s exciting! Steph Taylor , Sales & Business Development Manager, has more than 14 years of experience working across sales and business development in a variety of large corporations, such as Experian and Virgin Pulse. Steph joined Shot Blast Media in 2023, and works towards promoting our video production packages and other popular video services. What is your favourite film? My favourite film is Shawshank redemption because the story is gripping yet heartwarming. The main character alongside Morgan Freeman works so well and I love a happy ending. I do enjoy a good underdog story so my second favourite is Erin Brockovich. What do you like about working in the video production industry? Early days into my experience here at SBM, I enjoy supporting companies to bring their products and culture to life via video production. Video’s tell the story so well, bringing creativity and personality together. Short, snappy and engaging!! David Mead , Camera Operator and Editor, is an accomplished and innovative filmmaker with 20 years of experience, specialising in video editing, camera operating and directing. He has been working with Shot Blast Media for the past 6 years, bringing to life every client brief, from script to screen projects of all shapes and sizes. What is your favourite film? I hate this question! So lets put a spin on it, what’s the 1 desert island disc I would take… The Simpsons Season 5. The peak of the golden era! I’ve seen all these episodes countless times, the opening 5 episodes are all 10/10, it’s hard to find another 5 in a row this good. Homer’s Barbershop Quartet, Cape Feare, Homer Goes to College, Rosebud and the best, Treehouse of Horror IV, including the segment Terror at 5 and half feet, where a Gremlin attacks the school bus. This was the inspiration for a short film I made with a puppet and CGI Gremlin a few years ago called Turn Around When Possible, which had over 2 million views. Go check it out! This series also includes my favourite all time episode. Boy Scoutz ‘n the Hood. I could recite the entire script for you if you wanted. It’s just one hilarious gag after another. Homer is in fine form. GET ME 700 KRUSTY BURGERS! The Simpsons in general has always been one of my favourite things to watch (only season 3-9, that story is for a different day). Huge sense of nostalgia with every watch. Themes of family values mixed with a bit over the top mayhem with countless brilliant characters is just bliss. What do you like about working in the video production industry? Going to all sorts of places and meeting all sorts of people. Every week is different which keeps everyone on their toes. I’ve travelled to places far and wide across the UK, Europe and North America on projects. Places I would have never gone doing another job. Getting to use new equipment is always fun and finding ways to make each project better than the last. Maddy Goddard , Marketing Executive, works to bring creativity to Shot Blast Media’s social channels. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2021 with a degree in Film, Photography and Media, and her years of experience in the marketing industry means she is ideally focused on brand awareness and lead generation for the business. Maddy previously worked in Marketing for various recruitment firms across Leeds, and was extremely excited to start her role within her dream industry; video production. What is your favourite film? I would have to say that Madagascar is my favourite film. Madagascar 2 is a pretty close second though… It’s my go-to film on my birthday and it never fails to make me laugh. I also cannot wait to watch the stage musical of Madagascar soon…. Some may say that this is a kids film, however these people would be WRONG. What do you like about working in the video production industry? I have wanted to work in the video industry since I was in school, so it’s fantastic that I’ve been able to fulfil that dream. I absolutely love working in this industry. There is something different happening every week and I’ve learnt a whole bunch of new filmmaking skills since working at Shot Blast Media. Byron Sheldon , Camera Operator and Editor, joined Shot Blast Media after finishing his Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking from Leeds Beckett University in 2022. Byron focuses on working on the company’s monthly video subscription service, in which he films and edits unique and memorable videos for a range of businesses across Yorkshire. What is your favourite film? Hot Fuzz holds a special place in my heart, and it’s no surprise why. I’m a massive fan of the dynamic duo, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Their comedic brilliance and on-screen chemistry have never failed to put a smile on my face! And let’s not forget the icing on the cake – Edgar Wright, the genius director behind this cinematic gem. Here’s a fun tidbit about me: When I was younger, I dreamt of joining the police force! And that’s precisely why “Hot Fuzz” resonates so deeply with me. It’s a perfect blend of thrilling action and hilarious comedy, all within the context of law enforcement. Watching the film brings back memories of my childhood aspiration and sparks a sense of adventure every time! What do you like about working in the video production industry? One day, you might find us delving 100 metres underground, capturing breathtaking shots in unexpected locations. The next day, we could be perched on majestic mountaintops, filming electric trucks zooming by! This industry brings with it an exciting mix of challenges and endless possibilities, allowing me to bring my creative vision to life in ways they never imagined. Let us know what your favourite film is! Find out more about the Shot Blast Media team . Learn more about our video services .

Aqua Teen Hunger Force #59: “Dickesode” | October 22, 2006 – 10:30PM | S05E04
The TRUE RETURN of Aqua Teen Hunger Force fills the void left behind by The Venture Bros. And thank god, too. There was a bit of a false start with this season way back in December of 2005 with Dirtfoot, Boost Mobile, and the Deleted Scenes special. And now we get 10 weeks in a row of new Aqua Teen Hunger Force to sooth our weary souls while the movie was still being worked on. Is it classic shit or is it gay and retarded? We shall find out.
Carl “wins” a prize at Wong Burger (an Asian-style fast food burger joint) which is that he gets his dick ripped off. This contest was concocted by Dr. Wongburger, who is trying to steal all the dicks he can from the general public so he can build a dick-shaped rocket out of dicks so he can return to his home planet Dick Planet. Two of his little henchmen, who are grains of rice drawn like WW2-era propaganda stereotypes with big buck teeth and necklaces made of dicks (that's not a stereotype I just mean additionally that's what these guys are about) try to “deliver” on this “prize” while Carl hides. When they tear his house apart and leave, Frylock attempts to solve the problem by giving Carl a sex-change operation, in which Carl gets his dick removed anyway. Eventually the Aqua Teens go to confront Dr. Wongburger who attempts to take off in his rocket before it's completed and crashes it into Wong Burger corporate headquarters which is a big tall building made of dicks.
This seemed sorta important at the time. Like the boundaries of what Adult Swim could and couldn't get away with were pushed back significantly. They didn't show you any dicks, really; everything was censored out using a rainbow/color bars/test pattern overlay. The pile of dicks on Dr. Wongburger's floor were one big 2D lump with the rainbow pattern covering them up, but then a few dicks strewn around not in the pile were more pronounced and unmistakable. Also, I recall them saying dick A LOT in this episode and it not getting bleeped. Impressive, especially because a lot of times when it comes to cursing on shows like this the ruling comes down to weather or not the offending word actually refers to anatomy or if it's a euphemism for jerk or whatnot. Here they are definitely saying dick, which refer to dicks that we see on screen in some fashion. Pretty cool in 2006 for a standard cable network that shares it's broadcast day with a children's cartoon channel.
This episode is PRETTY FUCKING GOOD. There's big-picture stuff like what I just described, but there's also really funny bits and character stuff throughout that keep things lively. Shake's bit at the beginning where he's ordered a huge soda, one that's about as big as he is, which he's selfishly forced his friends to carry out for him while he chows down on the edible handtruck designed to carry it instead (the wheels are made of chocolate). Shake explains that he needs that much soda to live, which, actually, him  being a big cup sorta makes sense? But he's such a cunt you believe that he's just being a jerk. This is a testament to Master Shake being one of the greatest comedy characters of all time. I mean this!
There's a scene where Meatwad re-enacts the commercial they just watched at home which explains the promotion (they don't have TiVo so they can't rewind) and while they wait for Meatwad to go get his puppets we can see Space Ghost doing the robot on screen.
Also, Brendon Small (as Donald Cock) plays Wongburger and the little henchmen. He's so funny in this role. Speaking of the credits, there's something VERY FUNNY about them that I won't spoil!!! Just kidding, yes I will, you're just going to go look it up anyway: everyone changed part of their name to DICK.
This episode is available on DVD in it's UNCENSORED FORM, so you can see all the actual meaty dicks in their nasty glory. Another reason to collect physical media, baby!
MAIL BAG
MC Chris announced on his tiktok that Adam Reed and Matt Thompson molested him during his time on Sealab. Still a fan?
Of MC Chris? Not really.
Did Tom Shales ever say anything nice about you?
The only Tom Shales anecdote I have is he interviews Garry Shandling on the long-out-of-print season one DVD of Larry Sanders (the first version that came out way before they released the best-of Box or the complete series) and he takes a moment to tell Garry that he was sorta snide to Tom when he did a guest starring role on the show and they left it in, I guess because Garry is obsessed with atoning for slights. I remember the thing he said, supposedly snottily, “this is LARRY’S Suit”

Story at-a-glance
Behind the scenes of many of the companies that provide the products and services you use each day are two investment firms that own more shares than other shareholders. The list includes social media, transportation, news media, food manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies
Blackrock and Vanguard hold large interests in pivotal companies, and Vanguard holds a large share of Blackrock. In turn, Blackrock has been called the "Fourth Branch of Government" by Bloomberg as they are the only private firm that has financial agreements to lend money to the central banking system
Blackrock also developed the software used by the Fed to manage financial transactions; one Princeton University lecturer has said Blackrock controls the Federal Reserve and has more power than most governments
Ascertaining who owns large portions of Vanguard is more difficult as it is a private company that is not publicly traded. It's important to think globally but act locally to protect your civil rights, including supporting state legislators who support your right to choose health care
Until recently, it has appeared that economic competition has been driving the rise and fall of small and large companies across the U.S. Supposedly, PepsiCo is Coca Cola's competitor, Apple and android are vying for your loyalty and Pfizer and Bayer are battling for your pharmaceutical dollars. But what is revealed in this video, using publicly available data you can check, is that this has been an illusion.
On the surface, all appears to be the same as it always has been. But the growth of a few corporations, beginning in the mid-1970s, has all but destroyed the competitive market on which America's strength has rested. As demonstrated in the video, a quick look through Yahoo! Finance shows that Vanguard and Blackrock have been the puppet masters behind nearly every large industry that affects your life.
As you can quickly discern, the global economy may be the greatest illusionary trick ever pulled over the eyes of people around the world. Without doubt, we are in a new place and facing new challenges. It will take accurate information and local action to continue to have the right to take control of your health.
Behind the Scenes, Two Companies Own the Supply Chain
As you watch the video, you'll see that most of the large corporations that supply the food, information, data and drugs used every day are controlled by a select few investment firms whose sole goal is a greater return on their profits. Of course, that's been the backbone of a competitive economy — to grow your profit margin while competing against other companies for the same market.
In theory, this competition drives innovation, advancement and price structures that benefit the consumer. However, when one, two or three large companies own most of what you use, competition becomes an illusion, resulting in a monopoly where companies can set a price and there are no other products from which to choose.
As the World Economic Forum1 and United Nations2 collaborate to "build back better," it is crucial to pay attention to how large corporations across the world may contribute to a societal shift that moves more money into the hands of billionaires and creates a new depth of poverty across the world.
One of the mandates for the Federal Trade Commission is to ensure there is competition in the marketplace. For example, in 2000, a federal judge ruled that Microsoft had maintained a monopoly with Windows and tied the company browser, Internet Explorer, to the operating system, thus gaining a greater economic foothold.3
The company barely escaped being split up, until it agreed with a settlement to curb its practices. More than 20 years later, the Department of Justice is now looking at antitrust allegations against Google's business dealings that have hurt smaller competitors.4 But the two major investors in both these companies appear to have escaped unscathed.
As you go through the list of companies in which Vanguard and Blackrock strategically hold a large investment interest, consider how the products and services provided by these companies are inextricably intertwined with your daily life.

You may recognize many of these names and some may not be as recognizable. You can do your own search on Yahoo! Finance,5 typing in the company and clicking "holdings" in the navigation bar. The companies span a variety of aspects of daily life, including:

However, as comments on my Twitter feed indicate, it is not always apparent why this information is important to your rights as an individual.6 It may be difficult to imagine a world where your news is being manipulated. As is illuminated in the video, Vanguard and Blackrock:7
"... own the news that's been created, they own the distribution of the news that's been created, they own the lives of the reporters that are reporting the news that's being distributed that's being created on your TV screen. CBS, FOX, ABC, it doesn't matter which you're watching.
They all are using that wonderful phrase from Davos now — build back better. The point being is that you've got very few people controlling everything and that's information. Talk about information is power, well not only do they create the information, but they have all the distribution nodes to literally change the world mindset as it were."
Every Media Chain Using the Same Narrative
Davos is a ski town in the Swiss Alps but has become the shorthand for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting that's held in the town.8 It is a chance for some of the most powerful figures in the world to collaborate. The meeting has been headed and organized by Klaus Schwab, an 83-year-old German engineer and economist. As you consider what you're hearing in the news, remember:9
"Everything we see on the shelves in the shops, what you buy online, who delivers it, who is making the COVID jab, who is distributing the jab, who is reporting on the jab, who is censoring alternative information about the jab, and all the rest of it. It's all the same people."
The consistency of news reporting across mainstream media should now make sense since each of them have similar major investors and those major investors have a singular focus of raising their profit margin while pushing the Fourth Industrial Revolution. How can you believe what's being told in the news when every news channel is saying the same thing?
It may have been that Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, who broke the Nixon Watergate story in 1972, were the last investigative journalists working for a major news media company who were allowed to follow a news story to conclusion without blatant censorship.
Around the world, doctors are being silenced. At the beginning of the pandemic, medical professionals were told not to speak to the media about a lack of personal protective equipment within the hospital. Although the American Medical Association10 initially came out in support of a physician's right to speak out about the care conditions, the tables have since turned.
In the quick, six-minute video below, Dr. Dan Stock from McCordsville, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, speaks to the board of the Mount Vernon Community School Corporation. He provides the board with documentation to back up his claim that the way in which the community was addressing an attempt to stop the spread of infection was, in fact, ineffective.
The video went viral11 with several million views within a day of its posting on YouTube, before it  was taken down for “violating YouTube’s community guidelines.” August 11, 2011,  Tucker Carlson featured the video and Stock on his Fox show,12 where Stock said, “It seems to me that focusing on  immune system improvement whether through a vaccine or non-vaccine methods is  the more rational approach to this.”
Yet, even though Stock provides research evidence and  speaks knowledgeably about the transmission of viral illnesses, the rest of mainstream  media have not picked up on the story and this information is not being  communicated to the public. Those in power want to ensure this type of  information is not shared because it's contrary to the narrative they are  promoting.
House for Sale? Blackrock Is Interested
A recent expose in The Wall Street Journal warns, "… yield-chasing investors are snapping up single-family houses to rent out or flip. They are competing for houses with ordinary Americans, who are armed with the cheapest mortgage financing ever, and driving up home prices."13
Yet, why would institutional investors be interested in overpaying for single family homes? To gain a greater understanding of the answer, you must take a look at Blackrock's partners, which include the World Economic Forum. The company manages assets that are worth $5.7 trillion and appears to be focused on pushing the average American out of the housing market.
If most of the available housing is owned by investment groups and corporations, they become your landlord. This is one of the ways in which the World Economic Forum envisions society in 2030. It's the part where you will "own nothing and be happy."
While it sounds like it came straight from George Orwell's book, "1984," it is in fact the agenda published on the World Economic Forum website.14 In fact, Forbes15 published an article in 2016 titled "Welcome To 2030: I Own Nothing, Have No Privacy And Life Has Never Been Better," which was written by the World Economic Forum.
Interestingly, the World Economic Forum once had a link to the article on their website under "agenda," but that link is now dead,16 even though a WEF Twitter post17 touting it in 2017 is still up. The link on the Twitter post, however, is also dead. And, curiously, in February 2021, Reuters did a "fact check" which claims the WEF never had anything to do with it.
The Fourth Branch of Government
BlackRock not only is an investment firm, but also has been called the "Fourth Branch of Government" because they are the only private firm with an intimate relationship with the Federal Reserve and financial agreements to lend money to the central banking systems. Interestingly, software developed by BlackRock — Aladdin — is used by the Fed to manage their financial transactions.18
In comparison to other large financial investment firms who have political ties to one party or the other, Blackrock "possesses a power that's more technocratic."19 The firm has a global influence as well. They were tapped as an adviser to the Bank of Canada and the European Union hired them to advise them on incorporating governing and social practices.
According to an analysis by Bloomberg,20 the company may be paid as much as $48 million a year in fees, which could cement the company's ties with powerful policymakers.
To put this into perspective, BlackRock, an investment firm, has more power than most governments and controls the Federal Reserve, Wall Street mega-banks like Goldman Sachs and the WEF's Great Reset, according to F. William Engdahl, a strategic risk consultant and lecturer who holds a degree in politics from Princeton University.21 They don't just want your house, they want your life.
But Who Owns Vanguard?
When you take a look at who owns the largest portion of BlackRock, you learn its Vanguard.22 But ascertaining who has the greatest investment in Vanguard is a little more difficult. The company has a corporate structure that makes ownership challenging to discern.
It appears it's owned by a variety of funds, which in turn are owned by shareholders. Aside from these shareholders, the company has no outside investors and is not publicly traded. As reported in the featured video:23
"The elite who own Vanguard apparently do not like being in the spotlight, but of course they cannot hide from who is willing to dig. Reports from Oxfam and Bloomberg say that 1% of the world, together owns more money than the other 99%. Even worse, Oxfam says that 82% of all earned money in 2017 went to this 1%.
In other words, these two investment companies, Vanguard and BlackRock, hold a monopoly in all industries in the world and they, in turn, are owned by the richest families in the world, some of whom are royalty and who have been very rich since before the Industrial Revolution."
Although getting to the bottom of the major investors in Vanguard is difficult, it's important to keep in mind that BlackRock and Vanguard, individually and combined, own enough shares in Big Pharma and mainstream media to have control over what is produced, shared and distributed.
This information is important because it is the drug companies and media that are driving the response to this infection. Thus far, it has all endangered rather than optimized public health and the official narrative continues to be false, leading the public further astray and fostering fear based on lies.
To have a chance of righting this situation, we must understand the central players and why these false narratives are being created in the first place. In the Global Justice Now December 2020 report entitled "The Horrible History of Big Pharma,"24 they review the shameful history of the top seven drug companies in the world.
These companies are now developing and manufacturing drugs and gene-based "vaccines" against COVID-19, while mainstream media have helped suppress information about readily available older drugs that have been shown to have a high degree of efficacy against the infection.
Think Globally and Act Locally
Just as the market collectively impacted the downfall of the Grocery Manufacturers Association,25 you have an impact in your local community. It may be overwhelming to consider how quickly the world is changing, but you can have a voice in your local community.
As you may know, after my articles have been published for 48 hours, they are no longer available to read. This means, to reference the information you need to protect your health, you must copy and paste the articles and keep them on your hard drive. I encourage you to share these with your friends and family and encourage them to share as well.
It may be inconceivable to think about making a difference on a national scale to protect your civil rights, but there are approaches you can take on a local level that will make a big difference as people across the world speak up.
Many large communities and states are forming groups to stand up for individual rights, to prevent vaccine passports and limit governmental power in a peaceful manner.26 It's also important to find a group with which to work and to support your state legislators who support your right as an individual to choose your health care.

Re: anarchists and the Lawful Good alignment: No, I think there might be something to this.
I'm kinda in the process of working this out, so this might be kinda rough around the edges and/or outright wrong.
It comes down to what you mean by anarchist. The popular media conception of anarchist is someone who just hates government or law and order for no reason, who loves chaos because…they’re a villain basically.
But my understanding of anarchism is one where you take some moral ideals (like, freedom is good, suffering is bad, etc) and take them to their logical conclusion, and realize that most of what’s causing harm are hierarchical systems like corporations, the government, and the military, and more abstract concepts like capitalism.

It’s not an opposition to government or other institutions for the sake of being contrary. It’s I think violence is bad, and most violence is coming from agents of the government like cops and soldiers. It’s I think controlling people is bad and everybody should be able to live their lives as they see fit, and while there are individuals who are abusive asswipes, they’ve got nothing on prisons, and shit, I’m saying prisons to sound serious and respectable, but actually I got here from a critique of schools as controlling and repressive and basically structured the same way as a dictatorship. (Complete with puppet governments: you elect student leaders, who get control over…prom.)

But here’s the thing. Lots of cultures have a concept of natural law or moral law that has nothing to do with cops and jails, but is just about personal moral codes and gently promoting those morals within the community, and maybe going to relatively extreme measures like socially shunning someone who’s really messing up badly consistently over time, but mostly it’s a tend to your own garden thing. No cops, no jails.

And it’s not like anarchist organizations don’t have rules! There’s an essay that was getting passed around when I first started getting involved in Food Not Bombs called The Tyranny of Structurelessness, and what it argued is if you don’t have leaders and don’t have rules, then the people with the strongest force of personality are going to become de facto leaders. If you want to actually not have a small number of strongwilled individuals making all the serious decisions, then you have to have rules and procedures to preserve your lack of hierarchy.

And this makes a lot of sense to me! Rules can be equalizing if they’re the right rules, or guidelines: step up/step back, have a vibeswatcher or a process monitor, this is the precise system of democratic decision-making we're using and here's how it works, have some system in place around sexual harassment so the biggest assholes in the group don’t drive away the people you want to keep. Rotate who runs the meeting.

You don’t have to do all that — one of my favorite groups has had I think two meetings in the over a decade I’ve been involved with them — but there are risks to having a minimal-structure organization: you risk losing people due to accessibility fails, you risk losing people due to personality conflicts, you risk the people with the strongest personalities taking over with no checks or controls.

I think humans tend to innately default to power structures, leader/follower roles — if you don’t want that to happen, or want there to be checks on the leaders’ powers, you need laws.

Is that incompatible with anarchism? I don’t know. What values do you have that lead you to anarchism in the first place?

For me, I put a high value on autonomy (balanced against the values of community and connection and being responsible to each other), so whether a specific rule or law is incompatible with my anarchism depends on how it relates to individual autonomy.

Like, yes, if by "laws" you mean "if you break it you get arrested/physically punished/executed", that's incompatible with anarchism. But that sort of punitive justice doesn't have to go along with laws. Laws and control don't have to by synonymous. We think they go together because that's how our system works, in the same way most people think representative democracy and capitalism go together, or indeed think that they are the same thing. Think about raising kids or babysitting or something, right? You can fall back on time outs or whatever, or you can be like "here's my expectations, this is what I want you to do" and assume the kid wants to get along and try to figure out what's getting in the way. Or "you have choices" (when you actually mean that and there isn't a "right" choice and a "wrong" choice.) And sometimes that's more effective than rewards and punishments. Think about how you get yourself to do stuff you need to get done (although granted, I know a lot of people run off of self-imposed rewards and punishments because that's just how motivation works, right?) Think about how you'd deal with another adult who you lent a book to who didn't return it: do you punish them, do you let your boundaries get trampled and keep loaning them books even if you hate not getting them back, or do you find a way to handle "this person can't be trusted to return a book" without punishment or control? Think about how you'd deal with or have dealt with "roommate who doesn't wash the dishes" issues. A chore chart is a set of rules. But, I mean, these days I’m not entirely convinced I am still an anarchist. So don’t take my word for it. Figure out your own ethics. Link to the essay I mentioned here.

Only in a certain kind of society is the figure of the crisis actor thinkable: a society in which reality depends upon the circulation of second-hand information, produced by unknown individuals and groups with unknown motives. Yet once this figure is accepted the nature of reality transforms from a given, to a problem. From accepting, and reacting to the carousel of images presented daily for public consumption, the focus shifts towards the deduction of the agendas and capacities of the puppeteers behind the scenes.
Once one thread is pulled, there’s no telling what else will unravel. Who is not a crisis actor? And what is the reality of the reality engineers? The reluctance on the part of some to question any aspect of a rapidly disintegrating official narrative mirrors the difficulty experienced by others in articulating a sprawling web of associations, intuitions, coincidences and conjectures of uncertain significance.
The question is the basis of the narrative. Personal expediency supplies one basis but the pursuit of power for no purpose has no meaning and is hostile to truth. Truth distracts from an exclusive focus on ambition, so truth is sacrificed for flexibility. All higher principles and moral arguments are transformed into rhetorical devices, and deployed according to their usefulness in achieving social goals.
This kind of motivation is initially invisible but appears through inconsistency — which is why hypocrisy is the key to judging character, because irrelevant for the hypocrite themselves. But logical and ethical dysfunction are mutually reinforcing. To insist that a deer is a horse, or now a deer once again (so that immigrant detention facilities under the Obama Administration become “children in cages” under the Trump Administration and return to being immigrant detention facilities under Biden) and that reality is subordinate to political criteria has deleterious consequences.
Once a counterfeit reality is generated the inevitable trajectory is increasing derealization. Individuals are transformed into images or apparitions. Persons, and not only persons, but also stubborn facts, and inconvenient truths become subordinate to a narrative machinery pumping out phantasmagoria to sustain an unreal dream.
Today, assessment of reality depends on the circulation of statistics, images, and facts, pumped-out by experts, journalists and politicians, all riven with conflicts of interests, and almost all collective rituals have been destroyed. Hence the invention of disturbing and bizarre new rituals like social distancing, the danse macabre of nurses and the political police, or the imposition of a mask mandate with no positive medical effects, not to mention genuflection before BLM iconoclastic vandalism and the ‘Cult of Barrabbas’ of George Floyd.
Meanwhile, lockdown regimes around the world have targeted religious rituals and organic social rituals, recognizing in their perseverance a threat to the new normal which they are working to install. Because what defines this new normality is nihilism, every extant source of meaning must be destroyed.
Nihilism is not only indifference to truth but a war on truth — which is why somebody who calls themselves a Nihilist is probably a cargo cultist. The true nihilist defines themselves through whatever label affords maximum advantage given their own situation and agenda: an Antifascist, a philanthropist, whatever. Hence the flexibility with which these personality types move between camps when circumstances changes, and why there can never be an ideologically defined resistance.
In progressively succumbing to purely cynical identifications, the meaning of every ideology is hollowed out into a vehicle for private interest.
The impossibility of identifying the central doctrines of the so-called successor ideology emerges from the fact that it is nothing but a weapon for colonizing institutions. Whatever central features it possesses reflects the extant cultural and social weakness which the ideology exploits. In a different social system the list of targets would be different, but the structure of the ideology would be the same.
Likewise the ‘long march through the institutions’ destroys the institutions, not through surplus ideological commitments, but as a factor of the march itself. Institutions are unsustainable when occupied by individuals with no desire to maintain them, but only maintain their own possession of them.
Once this situation is endemic in society, the possibilities of recovery are limited. Networks of zombie institutions, occupied by a nihilist elite, now coordinate to block any challenge to their status. No centralized direction is required. Inside the institutions, individuals of merit and ability are marginalized and loyalist inadequates promoted in their place. Outside, independent individuals and enterprises competing with corrupted institutions are targeted, sometimes violently, as with LD50, whose real crime was to expose the weakness of the institutional art world.
In the absence of legitimate authority illegitimate authority dominates: authority defined by the capacity to impose itself through subterfuge and games.
At the heights of society we are now dealing with an elite composed entirely of crisis actors, playing experts, journalists and politicians, whose credentials serve an ornamental function, as opposed to demonstrating real attainments.
The collective outcome is a destroyed political immune system which leaves society wide open to external threats. This dynamic has defined every aspect of the pandemic of the last twelve months, both in terms of the environment it enters, and the solution it suggests.
The political dysfunction, where experts simply canalize invisible political and corporate power, is mirrored by a spiritual dysfunction that in misrepresenting the real nature of expert influence condemns them to misunderstand their role. Advertised as scientists, and imagining themselves as scientists, the truth of their position is theocratic: they represent the clerisy of a reified idea of science indistinguishable from dogma.
Science is not an object but a technical approach to thinking: there is no such thing as the science, only a scientific approach to knowledge, expressed in the classic motto of the Royal Society Nullius in verba. When science becomes a narrative it assumes a crypto-religious force and a mandate for presiding over sacrificial systems.
Technocracy, the form of global government which is now installing itself everywhere, is misunderstood if conceived as alien to religiosity. In truth, it represents one possibility of sacred thought, or superstition, which has recurred repeatedly in history with regular characteristics: nihilism, gnosticism, eschatology, behaviorism, conceptual recapitulation of communication media (hence Kittler’s definition of totalitarianism as the correspondence of broadcast to opinion) and expert pseudo-knowledge wielded as a political and social tool.
The national cull of healthy animals engineered in the United Kingdom in 2001 following characteristically inaccurate modeling by Neil Ferguson is a case in point. The burning carcasses of millions of healthy animals was functionally indistinguishable from a sacrificial offering yet justified through scientific (or scientistic) rhetoric.

[W]hat explains Bernie’s resistance to more sharply contrasting with Biden?
IMO, three things, with the third being the most problematic for the future:
1) Bernie is a deeply principled lawmaker, but he is not a scorched earth politician, and never has been. Since he was first elected to a public office, his approach is one that seems defined by a belief that to make real change from the outside, you must push hard, but always maintain one foot inside the power structure and not try to burn it all the way down. The calculation is that if you are too adversarial against the establishment, you will be instantly marginalized, depicted as irrelevant and disempowered (Side note: as the primary results show, the problem with this theory is that even if you are nice and don’t go scorched earth, the power structure has other ways to defeat progressives).
2) As he himself said, Bernie likes and respects Biden. I personally don’t believe that affinity is justified, considering Biden’s legislative record, but I’m not going to litigate that point. It is what it is.
3) The Democratic Party has manufactured a culture that creates the conventional wisdom and perception that any efforts to contrast opponents’ records from the left in a primary is “negative,” and therefore destructive.
That culture, of course, is the structural factor that lasts beyond the Bernie campaign, and it is a huge problem. It is a new tyranny of decorum that aims to convince voters to value etiquette, pleasantries and party unity over everything else -- even their own economic interests.
Let’s remember: we have just experienced modern history’s first contested Democratic presidential primary in which the candidates declined to seriously criticize each other in any kind of sustained way.
There were certainly momentary flashpoint, but compared to past primaries, this was a muted affair — and if you somehow think this primary was uniquely “negative” because Bernie once in a while gently mentioned Joe Biden’s vote for the Iraq War, you are apparently Rip Van Winkle waking up from a 50-year slumber. You somehow never saw Democratic ads against Howard Dean in 2004, you never saw Hillary Clinton ads depicting Barack Obama as corrupt, and you never heard Obama’s ads and speech portraying Hillary Clinton as a puppet of corporate lobbyists.
The opposite dynamic defined the 2020 primary. As the health care industry ran ads vilifying Bernie’s signature Medicare for All plan, and as a super PAC aired ads suggesting Bernie couldn’t win a general election, the tyranny of decorum dominated the candidate discourse.
Anytime Bernie so much as made a passing mention of one of Biden’s bad votes, there were overwrought accusations that Bernie was “going negative,” hand-wringing warnings about the “perils of going negative,” with Team Biden shedding crocodile tears about “negative attacks.” This transparent bullshit soon became attacks on staffers who dared to point out flaws in Biden’s record — Turner and press secretary Briahna Gray were routinely demonized on social media, and I myself was labeled a toxic “attack dog” for the high crime of periodically tweeting links to Biden speeches in the Congressional Record.
This attempt to scandalize policy criticism supposedly reflected heightened concerns about “electability” — the idea promoted by Democratic politicians and pundits being that sharp contrasts might weaken the eventual Democratic nominee against the existential threat of Trump.
And yet, history argues exactly the opposite — tough, brutal primaries often end up battle-testing nominees and making them stronger (see President Barack Obama). In the same way the minor leagues can prepare players for the major leagues, brutal intraparty contests subject the eventual standard-bearers to training, and they also suss out potential weaknesses at an early point when a party can still make a different nomination choice.
By contrast, primaries dominated by demands for “good decorum,” “unity” and “decency” create coronations -- and coronations run the risk of creating nominees who are not adequately road-tested, and who are only publicly vetted in the high-stakes general election, well after the party could have made a different choice.
That is where we are now — a tyranny of decorum has given us a presumptive nominee whose record hasn’t been well scrutinized or challenged.

Reminder: It was Hillary and Her Friends That Gave Us Trump and the Evil Forces that his Election Unleashed.
Hillary and the DNC cheated Bernie in 2016.
Hillary Clinton ignored traditionally Democratic key electoral college states to try to win over red state votes who would never vote for her no matter what
Hillary knew the polls said the only Republican running she had a chance of beating was Donald Trump.  She told her supporters in the corporate owned news media to “elevate Trump” meaning to promote him so that Trump would be sure to get the Republican nomination.  They did.
These are the reasons we have a President Trump and it has nothing to do with the Russians or Jill Stein, or Bernie Bros, or people who stayed home, or blacks who didn’t support Hillary.  The only thing Julian Assange and Wikileaks did was report the truth of conversations between a corrupt DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign to cheat Bernie Sanders out of the nomination.
Having Donald Trump as President was 100% the fault of Hillary Clinton, her campaign, her butt-kissing news media and the corporate puppets in the DNC.

I was so NAIVE... (Endgame)
They just fucking did it. I’m just a fool. I’ve been having hope, against all odds, for an entire year. True, unadulterated HOPE. Not that kind of sweet talk with oneself someone gets into while bracing for the worst. NO. I had hope. Hope for a happy ending for Tony and Pepper, my most beloved fictional characters EVER. I really thought they would get their most deserved Happily Ever After.
Why? I think it was because the alternative, a world without my safe heaven, sacared me too much, and my subconscious was literally trying to protect me.
PEPPER & TONY They were my safe heaven, after a bad day or when I felt depressed or anxious I could go to the “Iron Man” movies or the “Avengers” movies and rewatch them. I spent a lot of nights up and even full weekends writting fluffy and sometimes smutty fanfiction for them, in English and Spanish. I wouldn’t get outside with family or friends, I’ll chose to remain in my room, in front of my laptop and I’ll write thousands of words, only for the sake of having fun. Let me tell you, it was worth it, it was amazing, I enjoyed it inmensely, loved to write about them, get inmersed into their world, which I loved so much. For the most part of 11 years they were my happy place. The fantasy garden I could feel safe and happy in. My own personal beacon of hope, if they could go in life sorting their big problems, then so would I.
Let me say that I’ll be forever thankful to Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow, for giving me this, for creating them. For giving them life. Wouldn’t have thought of more kind humans and better artists to achieve this level of humanity.
We were so lucky. Truly.
This tumbrl exists because of them too, I ended up here looking for gifs of my babies around the time I saw “Iron Man 2″ back in May of 2010.
You read it right. I wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for Tony Stark and Pepper Potts and the “Iron Man” movies. I will love them forever, because they changed my life, for the better. Once I was here, I realized there’s a lot of people like me in the real world, outside, people that love fictional characters like they are their own friends and family. People that get emotionally attached. That care so much, it HURTS.
For a long time in my life, I thought I was alone in the world. I had friends but you know, for some people or the vast majority of people, movies are only movies. Entertainment is only entertainment. That’s all. But not for us. NOT FOR US. I believe we really are special.
What I don’t even know anymore is if the people behind this so called “products” really believe their own words when they say “they love the fans” or “they make it for the fans” Really? It’s hard to tell, as they openly lie to us in order to sell movie tickets or literally crush our hearts deliberately. And with the pretext of “protecting the viewer experience” ask from us to not spoil the movie. Yeah, don’t spoil it, in case some of you, puppets, gets ahead and chooses not to see the garbage we’ve been cooking for 3 years. Only for the sake to be edgy, surprising, subverting expectatives and make a name for ourselves in the industry. They think they are so cool, right? Joe? Anthony? ¬¬
I really miss the simple times of my infancy and my teen years, when blockbuster movies sagas ALWAYS ended in a high note, full of hope and brilliant futures. HAPPY ENDINGS were the rule and maybe even, guaranteed. But not anymore.
I miss it. I miss the original Star Wars trilogy, Indiana Jones... More than ever.
Life is sad enough, cruel enough, awful enough. And they just robbed us of our happines, of our belief in that you can have a happy ending if you work for it.
Now, there’s nothing into the other side. Only tears. It doesn’t even matter how hard you fought for your happines. You can’t get it. Because you need to sacrifice for the universe.
At the end of the day they only want our money (producers, execs...) I know this is the new rule of corporate bussiness nowadays but couldn’t they at least fulfill the dreams we are paying them for? Not even that anymore. We are mere idiots filling their pockets with cash at this point. They can deliver whatever shit they want to, because they KNOW we’ll be paying for it. In advance. Without proof that what they are offering is, indeed, what we wanted.
Truly terrifying if you ask me.
But back to you, MCU FANS, passionated people, because you really matter. You really make the difference for a better world. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU.
You are truly special.
We, let me tell you something about the #PepperonyFandom, the irreductible, brave, fighter, amazing, kind, awesome, loyal, #PepperonyFandom. Do any of you remember when during the “Civil War” promotional tour we spamed FB, Twitter and every social media channel of the Russo bros with the #PepperonyForever hastag? And how that ended being the Wakanda war cry on “Black Panther”? They took that idea from US. They stole it, from US. And we made oursleves be heard. It was just for a momment in the grand excheme of things, but it is now history of cinema.
Just always remember how amazing and powerful you are. You guys are SO, so amazing. Every single one of you who I had the pleasure to meet here on tumbrl or in twiter or in Facebook... In every social media. Giffers, Artists, Writers... All my beloved creators, you put all your heart and soul in truly awesome pieces of art made just for pure fun or for fulfilling your friend’s heart’s desires. You work so hard whithout even getting paid. You gifted me so many hours of pure, unadulterated joy, and in most cases, you even gave me your unconditional friendship too. I love you all so much.
YOU ARE LOVED, TREASURED AND VALUED. I know that you, special people, need to hear this right now, I know guys. I understand and feel your devastating pain, your sorrow, your disappointment. I’m honored of having being part of this fandom for 11 years. I love you all.
But I’m sad to say, I will no longer be a rabbid MCU fan. I won’t be their puppet anymore. I’m breaking ties with Marvel Studios and Disney. I can’t forgive what they did to us. This ultimate betrayal. And after all, I was never really interested in what’s to come afterwards, anyway.
Now that we have been forcefully robbed of our special safe heaven, I need to tell you all that I’m broken inside. My heart is in pieces.
I don’t know if in the future I will be able to write fanfiction again, or enjoy being here or simply hang out with you all in the Pepperony tag, you know? I really don’t want Marvel to take this away from me too, but I feel so emotionally destroyed right now. I just don’t even know anymore.
I knew I shouldn’t trust them with my babies. Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely they never cared about them. Captain America was always their favourite character, so in the end, they gave him the happily ever after ending with Peggy Carter, which should have been Pepper and Tony’s. They got their subverted expectations and their shock value ending and all that. Hope they are proud of themselves.
But no one will ever convince me that they loved the Pepper and Tony fans. They didn’t.
The last memory of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts that I will EVER have, will remain ingrained in my head forever while I’m alive, and it’s gonna tarnish all their history, all the good momments, all the good movies, all of the best things the MCU brought to my life. FOREVER.
And honestly, it’s gonna be awful to keep living with that.
I feel so sad, angry, betrayed and disappointed. If you ask me about my emotional investmen in the MCU though 11 years and 22 movies?
It wasn’t worth it, and sure as hell, “Avengers: Endgame”  didn’t pay off.
At all.

Democratic debate analysis, pt 2
In the first installment of debate analysis, I introduced you to the bottom six candidates.  If you’re still with me, I am sorry to inform you that we are not done yet and have now reached what I call The Disappointment Zone: Sanders, Inslee, Yang, and Buttigieg.
13) Sanders
I have to admit, in 2016, Bernie Sanders was my boy.  I wanted him to be the nominee, I wanted him to be President, I thought the DNC stacked the deck against him the whole way and he should have been the candidate running against Donald Trump.
I also think that once a candidate has lost a high-profile run for the Presidency, it’s time to call it a day and never do that again.  A successful candidacy, in the modern media landscape, depends on a delicate balance of name recognition and minimal notoriety.
Much as I want to like Sanders, this time around he does not have that lack of notoriety.
In almost every category, Bernie brings it back to economic inequality and corporate greed.  I didn’t take this criticism seriously 3 years ago, but now I can’t look away and pretend I don’t see it.  It always comes back to economic class with Senator Sanders. Unfortunately, his sincere passion for promoting economic exploitation of the majority of American workers causes him to exaggerate his talking points.  He’s light on plans and heavy on rhetoric, and doesn’t always answer questions he doesn’t like.
You broke my heart, Bernie. You broke my heart.
He is, however, a genuine progressive with support for Medicare for All, treating healthcare as a human right, eliminating student debt, free public college, a commitment to rescind all Trump’s immigration executive orders, implementing universal background checks for gun purchasing and closing loopholes, and prioritizing American involvement with the United Nations.
In short:  we could do a lot worse, earning Bernie his seat at number 13.
12) Inslee
Jay Inslee is a Governor. We know this, because he told us several times.  Jay Inslee supports unions.  He likes to mention that a lot, too.  Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have a whole lot else to say, so his section is going to be very short.
Inslee thinks that Donald Trump is the biggest threat to America, and while I can’t say I blame him for thinking so, and don’t disagree, that doesn’t tell us much about what he’d do as President.  See, Jay, once you win an election, the other dude has to go home and isn’t nearly as dangerous.  That’s why you were asked about geopolitical threats, not whether or not the current President is a bad, bad man.
Inslee also believes that climate change is a serious threat to America, which is… great?  I guess?
The reason he doesn’t rank higher is because he thinks that, as President, he’d be able to get rid of the filibuster.
1)      The filibuster is a procedural quirk of the Senate, and is therefore controlled by the Senate, not the President.  It’s that pesky “separation of powers” thing.  Study up on your Constitutional Law, Governor.  It’s going to be relevant if you get that far.
2)      The filibuster allows any Senator, whether part of the majority party or minority party, to force the rest of the chamber to a standstill for as long as they can continue speaking.  It has, historically, been used to allow the minority party to stop or stall objectionable legislation, and as such is one of the things that makes the Senate the more moderate body, as compared to the volatile House of Representatives.
Even Mitch McConnell doesn’t talk about getting rid of the filibuster.
11) Yang
Andrew Yang is an entrepreneur and venture capitalist.  I do not trust Andrew Yang one teensy bit.  Andrew Yang believes the most important question of the Democratic primary is “who can beat Donald Trump?” and that makes me sad.  A crunchy sock-puppet should be able to beat Donald Trump.  I expect political candidates to aspire to more.
As a venture capitalist, Yang is concerned about Chinese business practices.  He also thinks Russia is a serious threat.  He didn’t say much beyond that, because his response to almost every question he was asked was to tout his plan for a $1000 per person monthly income.  If he had more than 30 seconds, he would talk about a new “value added tax,” which he’s pretty sure wouldn’t eat up the entire $1000.
He expects to beat Trump by promising free money, which is so much more cynical than I’m willing to be this early in the election cycle.
10) Buttigieg
Oh, Mayor Pete.  You could have been anything.  Why did you have to be a centrist.
A lot of his best answers were vague to the point of meaninglessness.  He was vague about gun control, though he supports it.  He was vague about diplomatic priorities, though he’d probably have them.  His campaign pitch is that he’s young (read: relatable) and political issues have been personal for him (read: relatable) so we should vote for him.  He called our generation to be the one to solve climate change, address racial inequality, and end endless wars.  He says that his top priority would be to “fix our democracy,” which is adorable and, you guessed it, so vague.
He’s in favor of a $15 minimum wage!  But he’s opposed to free public college.
He supports decriminalizing the border and establishing a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants!  But he couldn’t manage to make the demographics of the police force in his city match the citizenry.
And he supports healthcare “choice.”

Here’s something I wrote years ago on a subject that’s being discussed lately - the subject of Nazis in the Republican Party.  What’s interesting to me is that Democrats and the corporate media are now using Cold War propaganda tactics and fear-mongering against Russia - tactics Republicans once used to justify and prop up fascists.  People need to know and understand history to avoid repeating it.  When anyone is surprised I don’t seem horrified with what’s going on today regarding the resurgence of Nazi influence, I want to tell them it’s because I’ve seen it all before (even recently).  What’s going on now has been in the works for a long time and is the logical outcome of the facts I’m describing in what follows.
Nazis and the Republican Party
In his book Blowback: America’s Recruitment of Nazis and Its Destructive Impact on Our Domestic and Foreign Policy, award winning investigative reporter Christopher Simpson says that after World War II, Nazi émigrés were given CIA subsidies to build a far-right-wing power base in the U.S.  These Nazis assumed prominent positions in the Republican Party’s “ethnic outreach committees.”
Simpson documents the fact that these Nazis did not come to America as individuals but as part of organized groups with fascist political agendas. The Nazi agenda did not die along with Adolf Hitler. It moved to America (or a part of it did) and joined the far right of the Republican Party.
Simpson shows how the State Department and the CIA put high-ranking Nazis on the intelligence payroll “for their expertise in propaganda and psychological warfare,” among other purposes. The most important Nazi employed by the U.S. was Reinhard Gehlen, Hitler’s most senior eastern front military intelligence officer. After Germany’s defeat became certain, Gehlen offered the U.S. certain concessions in exchange for his own protection. Gehlen promoted hyped up Cold War propaganda on behalf of the political right in this country, and helped shape U.S. perceptions of the Cold War.
Journalist Russ Bellant (Old Nazis, The New Right, And The Republican Party) shows that  Laszlo Pasztor, a convicted Nazi war collaborator, built the Republican émigré network.  Pasztor, who served as adviser to Republican Paul Weyrich, belonged to the Hungarian Arrow Cross, a group that helped liquidate Hungary’s Jews.  Pasztor was founding chairman of the Republican Heritage Groups Council.
Two months before the November 1988 presidential election, a small newspaper, Washington Jewish Week, disclosed that a coalition for the Bush campaign included a number of outspoken Nazis and anti-Semites. The article prompted six leaders of Bush’s coalition to resign.
According to Russ Bellant, Nazi collaborators involved in the Republican Party included:
Radi Slavoff, GOP Heritage Council’s executive director, and head of “Bulgarians for Bush.” Slavoff was a member of a Bulgarian fascist group, and he put together an event in Washington honoring Holocaust denier, Austin App.
Florian Galdau, director of GOP outreach efforts among Romanians, and head of “Romanians for Bush.” Galdau was once an Iron Guard recruiter, and he defended convicted Nazi war criminal Valerian Trifa.
Nicholas Nazarenko, leader of a Cossack GOP ethnic unit. Nazarenko was an ex-Waffen SS officer.
Method Balco, GOP activist. Balco organized yearly memorials for a Nazi puppet regime.
Walter Melianovich, head of the GOP’s Byelorussian unit. Melianovich worked closely with many Nazi groups.
Bohdan Fedorak, leader of “Ukrainians for Bush.” Fedorak headed a Nazi group involved in anti-Jewish wartime pogroms.
The Philadelphia Inquirer ran an article on the Bush team’s inclusion of Nazis (David Lee Preston, “Fired Bush backer one of several with possible Nazi links,” September 10, 1988.) The newspaper also ran an investigative series on Nazi members of the Bush coalition. The article confirmed that the Bush team included members listed by Russ Bellant.
Journalist Martin A. Lee, has written for The Nation, Rolling Stone, The San Francisco Chronicle, and other esteemed publications. In his book The Beast Reawakens, Lee confirms that during both the Reagan and Bush years, the Republican Party’s ethnic outreach arm recruited members from the Nazi émigré network.
Lee says that the Republican Party’s ethnic outreach division had an outspoken hatred of President Jimmy Carter’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI), an organization dedicated to tracking down and prosecuting Nazi war collaborators who entered this country illegally.  Republican Pat Buchanan attacked Carter’s OSI after it deported a few suspected Nazi war criminals.
According to Lee, public relations man Harold Keith Thompson was principal U.S. point man for the postwar Nazi support network known as die Spinne, or the Spider. In the late 40s and early 50s.  Thompson worked as the chief North American representative for the remaining National Socialist German Worker’s Party and the SS. Lee writes that the wealthy Thompson gave generously to Republican candidates Senator Jesse Helms and would-be senator Oliver North. Thompson’s money gained him membership in the GOP’s Presidential Legion of Merit. Lee says Thompson also “received numerous thank-you letters from the Republican National Committee.” Those letters are now in the Hoover Institute Special Collections Library.
Christopher Simpson writes in Blowback that in 1983, Ronald Reagan presented a Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, to CIA émigré program consultant James Burnham.  Burnham was a psychological warfare consultant who promoted something called “liberationism.”  Just before the 1952 election, the CIA worked up a multimillion-dollar public relations campaign aimed at selling Americans on expanding Cold War activities in Europe. Part of the guiding theory (given the name “liberationism”) was the idea that certain Nazi leaders from World War II should be brought in as “freedom fighters” against the USSR.
Reagan said that Burnham’s ideas on liberation “profoundly affected the way America views itself and the world,” adding, “I owe [Burnham] a personal debt, because throughout the years of traveling on the mashed-potato circuit I have quoted [him] widely.”  Reagan may not have known Burnham’s theories were based on his work on projects that enlisted many Nazi collaborators, but it seems that Reagan’s CIA Director William Casey or former CIA Director, Vice President George Bush, would have informed him.
At a May 9, 1984, press conference, writer, Nazi hunter and Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal said, “Nazi criminals were the principal beneficiaries of the Cold War.”  The Cold War mentality, hyped by Reinhard Gehlen and other Nazis, became the shelter for tens of thousands of Nazi criminals. Helping the far right in this country to promote Cold War hysteria became the Nazi war criminals’ “reason for being.”  As Christopher Simpson says, the Cold War became those criminals’ means "to avoid responsibility for the murders they had committed.”
Journalist Seymour Hersh says Christopher Simpson’s Blowback is “the ultimate book about the worst kind of Cold War thinking, in which some of our most respected statesmen made shameful decisions that they mistakenly believed to be justified.”  To this day, says Simpson, the U.S. intelligence agencies hide the scope of their post-World War II collaboration with Nazi criminals.
Are Republicans such as George H. W. Bush, Oliver North, and Jesse Helms, aware they have been assisted by Nazi collaborators?  Bush once worked for the CIA and should have known about the nature of the Nazis in his ‘88 campaign. No doubt he knows the history of Nazi/CIA collaboration. Whether or not Bush knew of the fascists’ involvement in his campaign, the Republican Party should have done a far better screening job.  One thing is certain: The intelligence agencies know the scope and extent of Nazi involvement with the political right in this country.  It is a shame they keep it hidden from the majority of the American people.
Again, today Democratic Party leaders are joining Republicans in manipulating the public using propaganda techniques very similar to those of Hitler’s propagandist Joseph Goebbels.  See my earlier posts on a must-watch Chris Hedges interview with NYU media studies professor Mark Crispin Miller for specific details and reference sources.  I recommend William Shirer’s books in addition to the Simpson book mentioned above and another of his called The Splendid Blond Beast.

Democracy and the Corrupt Seven (Eight)   19 Feb, 2019  UPDATE
So now it is eight. If you want to understand that the UK truly is not a functioning democracy, consider this. Joan Ryan is all over the MSM this morning as being the eighth defector to the Independent Group. Yet astonishingly, while she is universally reported as citing anti-semitism as the reason she is leaving, it appears not one MSM journalist has asked her about her receipt of US$1 million from the Israeli Embassy for spreading Israeli influence. Not one. Nor has any mainstream media outlet cited the fact in its reporting today. Most, of course, never even mentioned it at the time.
ORIGINAL
I have heard it argued again and again on television this last 48 hours that it is deeply undemocratic for the electorate to be offered a choice that is any more complicated than between Red Tories and Blue Tories. It is apparently unthinkable and deeply wrong that Corbyn’s standard German style social democracy – which is routinely labeled “hard left” and “communist” – should be proffered to voters for them to support, or not.
The overwhelmingly Blairite MPs have put this case again and again to Labour Party members in repeated leadership elections, and have been roundly and repeatedly defeated. But now, according to no less a person than Tom Watson, Deputy Leader of the party, the losers’ policies must be embraced by the Party and adopted by its leadership, as to do otherwise is an affront to democracy. I confess I find this argument impossible to follow.
Corbyn has compromised already to a huge extent, even accepting that a Labour government will retain massive WMDs, in deference both to the imperialist pretensions of the Blairites and the personal greed of the demented Strangeloves who comprise the membership of the GMB Union. Labour’s pro-Trident stance will persist, until such time as enough Blairites join this forced march, or rather chauffeur driven drive, across their personal caviar and champagne strewn desert to their promised land of media contracts, massively remunerated charity executive jobs, and non-executive directorships.
Democracy is a strange thing. This episode has revealed that it is apparently a democratic necessity that we have another referendum on Brexit, while being a democratic necessity not to have another referendum on Scottish Independence, while the notion that the MPs, who now have abandoned the party and manifesto on which they stood, might face their electorates again, is so disregarded that none of the fawning MSM journalists are asking about it. In rejecting this option, the Corrupt Seven are managing the incredible feat of being less honorable than Tory MPs defecting to UKIP, who did have the basic decency to resign and fight again on their new prospectus.
Dick Taverne is a more directly relevant precedent, particularly as he was deselected as sitting Labour MP precisely because of his support for the EU. Taverne resigned, and fought and won his seat in a by-election in 1973, before losing it in the second 1974 election. There are also precedents for crossing the floor and not resigning and fighting under your new banner, but then there are also precedents for mugging old ladies. It is deeply dishonorable.
Luciana Berger is a one trick pony and it is worth noting that her complaints about anti-Semitism in the Labour Party date back to at least 2005, while Tony Blair was still Prime Minister. Berger had already by April 2005 spotted anti-Semitism in the National Union of Students, in the Labour Party and in her student union newspaper, those being merely the examples cited in this single Daily Telegraph article. I am extremely sorry and somewhat shocked to hear of the swamp of anti-semitism in which we were all already mired in 2005, but I do find it rather difficult to understand why the fault is therefore that of Jeremy Corbyn. And given that Tony Blair was at that time Prime Minister for eight years, I cannot understand why it is all Corbyn’s fault and responsibility now, but it was not Blair’s fault then.
On the contrary, the Telegraph puff piece states that Berger had met Blair several times and was Euan Blair’s girlfriend. This was of course before the privately educated Londoner was foisted on the unfortunate people of Liverpool Wavetree, doubtless completely unfacilitated by her relationship with Euan Blair.
The kind of abuse Berger has evidently been attracting since at least 2005 is of course a crime. Two people have quite rightly been convicted of it. Joshua Bonehill-Paine and John Nimmo sent a series of truly disgusting tweets and both were jailed. Both are committed long term neo-nazis. Yet I have repeatedly heard media references to the convictions squarely in the context of Labour Party anti-semitism. I have never heard on broadcast media it explained that neither had anything to do with the Labour Party. Like the left wing anti-semitism Berger has been reporting since at least 2005, this Nazi abuse too is all somehow Jeremy Corbyn’s fault.
It is further worth noting that in that 2005 article Berger claims a 47% increase in attacks on Jews, which is highly reminiscent of recent claims from community groups, such as the 44% increase claimed 2015 to 2017 or the 78% increase in violent crimes against Jews in the UK in 2017 alone claimed by the government of Israel.
One antisemitic attack is too many and all anti-semitism is to be deplored and rooted out. But if all these claims repeated again and again over decades of 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70% increases in attacks per year were true, then we would be now talking of at least 12,000 violent attacks on Jews per year, if we take Ms Berger’s 2005 claim as the baseline.
Yet we are not seeing that. The average number of convictions per year for violent, racially motivated attacks on Jewish people in the UK is less than one.
If we add in non-violent crimes, the number of people convicted per year for anti-semitic hate crime still remains under 20. And I am not aware of a single such conviction related in any way to the Labour Party.
Let me be perfectly plain. I want everybody convicted and imprisoned who is involved in anti-semitic hate crime. But the facts given above would cause any honest journalist to treat with more scepticism than they do, the repeated old chestnut claims of huge year on year increases in anti-semitic incidents.
There really are in logic only two choices; either anti-semitism is, contrary to all the hype, thankfully rare, or the entire British police, prosecutorial and judicial system must be systematically protecting the anti-semites. And I hardly see how they could blame Jeremy Corbyn for that.
None of this will stop the relentless promotion of the “Corbyn anti-semitism” theme, as the idea of a leader not completely behind the slow extirpation of the Palestinian people is unthinkable to the mainstream media class. The Corbyn anti-semitism meme is possibly the most remarkable example of evidence free journalism I have ever encountered.
Still more fascinating is the way the broadcasters are going to devote an astonishing amount of time to these political puppets. Of one thing I can assure you – these seven MPs will get more airtime than the 35 MPs of the SNP, with at least twice as many Question Time and Today programme appearances.
At some stage they will have to form a new party, in order to get airtime in elections. At what stage Blair declares for them is an interesting question. It is also a crucial test of just how horribly degraded the Lib Dems have now become. My old friend Charlie Kennedy will be spinning in his grave at an alliance with the Blairite warmonger faction, but the modern party appears bereft of any of the old Liberal values, cleared away by Clegg and his fellow orange Tories. If the party members do not revolt at association with Mike Gapes and Angela Smith, it really is time to wind the party up.
That the Corrupt Seven are some of the most unpleasant people in British politics is not entirely relevant, nor is the question of which interest groups are funding them. They are just an emission of pus, a symptom of the rottenness of the British body politic. They have nothing interesting to say and are feeble tools of the wealthy, thrown out as protection for a crumbling political system. The end of the UK is not pretty, and this is one of its uglier moments. It really is beyond time to crack on with Scottish Independence and the reunification of Ireland.
Unlike our adversaries including the Integrity Initiative, the 77th Brigade, Bellingcat, the Atlantic Council and hundreds of other warmongering propaganda operations, this blog has no source of state, corporate or institutional finance whatsoever. It runs entirely on voluntary subscriptions from its readers – many of whom do not necessarily agree with the articles, but welcome the alternative voice, insider information and debate.

“August 28, 2020,  the Children's Health Defense, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., launched a  European branch of the organization. In a press conference1 announcing the new branch, Kennedy discussed how governments are using fear to control  and manipulate the population.
Acting as  quasi-government agencies, public health organizations such as the U.S. Centers  for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization are pushing  vaccines using the same fear tactics, while simultaneously removing the  regulatory oversight that used to ensure vaccines are properly safety-tested.
Corruption in the  political system, however, has destroyed the trust these agencies need to get  people to willingly take these fast-tracked vaccines, and this despite the fact  that the media keep regurgitating the prescribed propaganda. Kennedy also  highlights how people like Dr. Anthony Fauci and Bill Gates are helping to promote this  global vaccination agenda.
"Point a finger at that source  of their fear and you can make human beings do anything you want. You can make  them go to the slaughter like sheep; you can make them obey." ~ Robert F. Kennedy  Jr.
As a result of  all this corruption, there's no independent, unbiased buffer between greedy  corporations and the world's most vulnerable populations — our children. This  is a global problem, Kennedy says, and the press is facilitating it by helping  to create so much fear in the peoples' minds that they will obey whatever the  health agencies say, no matter how illogical the demands.
Vaccines Are Not Routinely Tested Against Placebo
Kennedy  explains how he ended up spearheading the fight for vaccine safety. He runs the  largest water protection group in the world, the Waterkeeper Alliance. In the  early 2000s, he was involved in lawsuits over mercury discharges by coal  burning power plants.
Around the same  time, he learned of the presence of mercury in vaccines, and that this source  was a much larger source of mercury exposure than contaminated fish was. Initially,  his goal was simply to get the mercury removed from vaccines, but as he dug  deeper, he realized "there were larger problems with vaccines."
One of the  biggest problems was, and still is, the fact that vaccines in the U.S. are not  safety tested. "They have an exemption that is not  available to any other medical product,"  Kennedy says, explaining that when the vaccine program was initially launched,  the goal was to make sure vaccines could be rapidly developed and deployed in  response to biological attacks by foreign countries.
As a result,  regulatory impediments —  including safety testing vaccines against  placebos, which the gold-standard in medical safety testing — were removed.
"My very narrow purpose in starting the Children Health Defense was  to address this problem and to get vaccines properly safety tested, because if  they're not safety tested, nobody can tell you with any medical authority  whether that vaccine is injuring more people than it's saving," Kennedy says.2
"As we continued on with this advocacy it  became very clear that there were other problems as well. There [were]  problems with the corruption in our political system.
The pharmaceutical companies had not only corrupted  our politicians with huge amounts of lobbying money, they had captured the   agencies that are supposed to protect Americans from public health threats: the  CDC, the FDA, the HHS. They had captured the press in our country by huge  influxes of advertising dollars which had neutralized the press.
They had effectively subverted American  democracy by neutralizing all of those institutions that the Founding Fathers  of our nation had created to stand between a greedy corporation and a   vulnerable child.
The Congress had been corrupted. The  regulatory agencies were captured; they had become the sock puppets for the  industry they're supposed to regulate. The press had been sidelined.
And worst of all, they had passed a law in our  country in 1986 that gave pharmaceutical companies complete immunity from  liability. So, there was no incentive for any of those companies to make  vaccines safe …
If we win this battle in just  one nation, the United States, we're still going to lose it globally. So, we  need people of good will, people who have courage, people who have a  nonconformist way of thinking, who understand that we are being lied to, that  the entire political structure today is saturated in pharmaceutical  propaganda."
The Power of Fear
As noted by Kennedy,  totalitarian nations have always used the power of fear to make citizens comply  with authoritarian rule. Without fail, it's been shown that all you have to do  to engineer compliance, no matter how horrific the ramifications, is to tell  people they have something to fear, and that they will be safe if they follow  your lead.
"Point a finger at that source  of their fear and you can make human beings do anything you want. You can make  them go to the slaughter like sheep; you can make them obey," Kennedy says.
A famous quote  by Franklin D. Roosevelt is "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." He  understood that fear is ultimately what strips us of our human rights and  drives a society into totalitarianism, and that the only way to circumvent such  a fate is to bravely resist fear. Today, one of the biggest threats (or so we're   told) is global pandemics.
"Governments love pandemics the  same way that they love wars because it gives them power; it gives them control  and it gives them the capacity to impose obedience on human beings," Kennedy notes.
Today, we also have something no previous tyrant has had, namely the technology to track, trace, control and  manipulate individuals wherever they live. Most people are surrounded by electronics and wireless  devices that harvest every imaginable data point about your personal life.
Digital  currency will complete the net of tyranny. Once all cash economies have been  abolished, "they have absolute control over us  because they will be able to tax every transaction,"   Kennedy says. A  digital currency economy will also ensure total compliance by the masses. If  you disobey, they can simply restrict or shut down your bank account.
"Many people argue that this pandemic was a  plandemic, that it was planned from the outset, it's part of a sinister  scheme," Kennedy says. "I can't tell you the answer to that. I don't have  enough evidence.
A lot of it feels very planned to me. I don't  know, but I will tell you this, if you create these mechanisms for control,  they become weapons of obedience for authoritarian regimes no matter how  beneficial or innocent the people who created them. Once you create them,  they will be abused; 100% guarantee that they will be abused."
People in Authority  Lie
Kennedy goes on to stress that the pushback seen around the  world against mask mandates, vaccines, social distancing and lockdowns are not  because there's a willful ignorance of science, but that no real science is  being presented; science  is actually being withheld and suppressed.
"What we know is that we're not  being dealt with honestly," he says. "We're being told, 'This is the science,' but it's an appeal to  authority. It's science because Tony Fauci and Bill Gates tell us it's science.
We want to see the studies. We  want to see the studies on hydroxychloroquine. We want to see the studies  on whether the lockdown is killing more people than the coronavirus. We  want to see real science and real risk assessment.
My father told me when I was a child, 'People in authority lie.' If we are going to continue to live in a  democracy we need to understand that people in authority lie. People in authority will abuse every power that we relinquish to  them, and right now we are giving them the power to micromanage every bit of  our lives.
Twenty-four hours a day they're going to know where we are, they're going to  know the money that we spend, they're going to have access to our children.  They're going to have the right to compel unwanted medical interventions on  us."
Why Are We Ignoring the Nuremberg Charter?
As noted by Kennedy, this is  precisely what the Nazis did to prisoners during World War II. After the war,  the world was so horrified by the atrocities of the Nazi camps, including and  especially the medical testing that took place, the Nuremberg Code,3 which details the ethical  framework for medical experimentation, was enacted.
"We all pledged … we would never again impose  unwanted medical interventions on human beings without informed consent," Kennedy  says. "Yet in two years, all of that conviction has suddenly disappeared.   People are walking around in masks when the science has not been explained to  them. They are doing what they're told.
These government agencies are orchestrating  obedience, and it is not democratic; it's not the product of  democracy. It's the product of a pharmaceutical driven, biosecurity agenda  that will enslave the entire human race and plunge us into a dystopian nightmare  where the apocalyptical forces of ignorance and greed will be running our lives   and ruining our children …
The launch of this  organization, Children's Health Defense, in Europe is a beachhead; it's an  announcement to the world that we are not going to take it. We are building  institutions to fight your institutions. You have global institutions and we  now have a global institution …
We are not going to let you  take our democracy away. We are not going to let you take our health away. We  are not going to let you take our freedoms away. We are not going to let you  take our children away."
Do Not Trust the Medical or National  Security Establishment
In the Ron Paul Liberty Report above,  former Congressman Dr. Ron Paul interviews4 Kennedy about who really  killed his father and uncle, and why. In summary, the evidence suggests his  father, Robert Kennedy, was assassinated by a CIA agent hired as a security  guard.
Kennedy reviews some of the  history of the CIA — how it was initially established as an espionage  organization tasked solely with intelligence gathering, only to transform into  a paramilitary agency engaged with the overthrowing of democracies around the  world and other nefarious and antidemocratic activities.
He also touches on the infamous  CIA program called MK Ultra, in which individuals are brainwashed to carry out  orders, including murders, against their own will.
The conversation eventually  turns to vaccine safety and the folly of ignoring published science showing  there are significant problems — problems that the medical establishment is  refuting without any actual counter-evidence.
They also discuss data  suggesting the COVID-19 lockdowns may have caused more deaths than the virus  itself, as well as the civil rights issues involved. "I think the data are  really clear, that quarantine is going to kill far more people than COVID-19"  Kennedy says.
Pandemic Responses Are Doing Far More Harm Than  Good
He cites research from the  1980s that looked at the impact of unemployment on human life. This kind of  research flourished in the wake of American industries increasingly being  shipped overseas, causing rising unemployment.
The most famous of these studies,  Kennedy says, found that for every one-point rise in unemployment there were  37,000 excess deaths, 4,000 excess imprisonments and 3,300 excess admissions  into mental institutions.
"In addition to that, we have disruptions to  medical supply chains and food supply," Kennedy notes. "There are millions of  people starving around the world because of the quarantines. We've lost,   already, about 50,000 minority businesses, permanently, in [the U.S.] What is  that going to do?"
Kennedy cites a report from a  hospital in San Francisco that stated they saw one year's-worth of suicides in  a single month, a 1,200% increase. He also cites British research showing that  while there were 30,000 excess deaths in nursing homes during a five-week  period during the lockdown, only one-third of them were due to COVID-19.
In other words, the death rate  from isolation was double that of the virus itself. People didn't get the  proper medical care for chronic conditions and so on. Kennedy also rightly  points out that what we will see — and are already seeing — is the obliteration  of the middle-class and the shift of wealth from the poor to the already  ultra-rich.
Then there's the rapidly  approaching question of vaccination. Children and young adults under the age of  20 basically have a zero risk of dying from COVID-19, so are we going to force  them to gamble with their future health by taking a fast-tracked and unproven  vaccine in the name of protecting the elderly who are at greatest risk of dying from COVID-19? "That is a very dicey ethical question," Kennedy says.
"This is like an apocalyptical  battle; it's really something I never thought would happen in my lifetime,  where all the values of our country are being eroded," Kennedy says, pointing  out that in 1968, there was a bird flu pandemic5 that had a higher mortality  rate than COVID-19, "and we all went to Woodstock. It was just part of life."
Today, pandemics have become a  tool of tyranny, and the "biosecurity" agenda is a globalist agenda that  ultimately seeks to gain total control by stripping away human rights and the  rights of countries. As noted by Kennedy, the fear level is totally out of   proportion to the real threat of COVID-19, as are the government-prescribed  responses.
