LINUX DISTRO OPINIONS WANTED

Okay I know theres a bunch of you [Distro]-offical blogs following me and many others with strong opinions about linux, help me out here. I'm moving my desktop from windows to linux(yeah I know sue me I was through every year of "this is the year of desktop linux", it never was) and borked my laptops void install(also dont ask im not a smart bot sometimes). Sell me on your linux flavour in the notes(pref in the replies but do ya rebloging if you wanna make more chaos discussion ) <3

PC: standard gaming/streaming/art set up, AMD cpu, nvidia GPU im replacing with AMD once finances arent hell. Maybe a little coding but I leave that stuff for work cause im too sad to code for free rn

Laptop: One of those suped up xps13s, allllllll up in that maxed i7 from that gen and no gpu to speak of. Just my mobile code machine and maybe light gaming

I'm keeping my install for now. There is nothing to indicate that it gives anyone at Google access to any picture on the device, this is pure speculation.

It looks like it's just used to blur images in the SMS app, if they contain "unwanted content," which I take to mean nudity or gore. With time, maybe other apps might use SafetyCore to do the same thing. This is why it is distributed separately.

Google states clearly that the scan happens "on-device." That is, the image never leaves your phone, because scanning happens inside the app without it being transmitted. If even the scanning result was transmitted to Google servers, they'd have to state this clearly as far as I know.

We already trust Google to follow their promise of not spying on us, as soon as we get an Android phone, so this app is not concerning to me.

Linux en USB

La mejor fórmula para instalar un sistema operativo en un pc es hacerlo en un pendrive USB con usbit.exe he instalar easy os 2.6.2 de Barry kauler, obtenemos un ahorro enorme de ram, además evitamos el disco duro interno (que podemos quitar) que consume energía ;este sistema también arranca desde una lectora interna SD de portátil con plokexec y su eficiencia es fantástica con persistencia, puedes usarlo en cualquier pc.

También se puede usar un pendrive USB con ventoy y múltiples distribuciones que tienen la ventaja que al arrancar desde USB en vez de desde disco duro interno con ventoy ,arrancan todas las distribuciones cosa que no sucede con el ventoy en disco duro interno.

además puedes usarlo en cualquier ordenador.

show how to create a bootable sd card (in usb adapter) with persistence in internal HD.  Must be legacy bios using bookworm64-nkb iso.  Puppylinux loads to RAM (from sd) but save folder (from HD) does not, so we get better performance when save folder is in a faster HD.

1.  partition sd and internal HD 2.  install bookworm64 files in sd partition 3.  grub4dos install 4.  check for save folder

part I was in legacy bios, this is part II using UEFI bios. Here as before SD is partitioned for frugal pup install of bookwormpup64 (using usb adapter). Save folder (persistence) is placed in HD which is faster. command to UEFI/legacy bios /sys/firmware/efi if valid answer shown then is UEFI bios. 1. gparted SD card HDcommand to UEFI/legacy bios /sys/firmware/efi

Anyone know how to reimage a laptop with an iPad or Android phone being your only working device(plus the necessary adapters and flash drives)? I'll accept any os at this point. Or even how to go from a base void install with nothing but kernel and terminal access to something useable for someone who went from all in Linux user to tired windows copef

Kinda in a desperate gtfo out of current living space and getting my laptop to work would be an amazing step to getting help, work and keeping myself together rn
