Bruh, I kept seeing that post about mama bear from the Berenstain Bears being 27 years so I went and checked to see if it was actually true…Well, it is but I also learned that papa bear is canonically 39 years old, which wouldn't be that disturbing except for the fact that their eldest son is 10-11 years old (!!!) and now I'm genuinely grossed out

#put this fucking creep in bear jail idgaf #seriously tho...why?#apparently the bear parents were based on the original writers who were the exact same age #actually the wife was like 3 months older than her husband #so why does the father bear has to canonically be a child predator like what the fuck????#everything about this serie has such a fundamentalist christian vibe which is kinda funny because it's not #gonna be fair to the franchise and mention that i don't remember ever mentionning the parents age at all #so i feel like it's more a case of them chosing random ages that looks like they makes sense without thinking of the implications #more than of them actively trying to pass a fucked up and harmful message #but still that's high key gross to me like who chose those ages??#we need to have a talk about why you decided that the mother of your idealized nuclear family got pregnant at 17 from a 29 yo man...
