Quackity is giving some updates about QSMP structural changes:

- He has been on many calls and reading comments, but is still not done.

- People who were in charge some of the financial and administrative wrong doings were fired.

- The QSMP wouldn't last much longer if I had kept going the way I was doing.

- He is basically restarting the administration almost from zero

- There won't be more individual update accounts for each creator or each language at least for a while

- There won't be any eggs or npcs **TEMPORARILY**

-Creators will be in charge of their own lore and the team is not going to intervene in that anymore

- The competitive level is going to slow down

- The server will be in basic terms

- The server might be re opened but that doesn't mean everything is fixed

Do you realise that it's been AN YEAR??? Qstudios already made two projects, one of which is in Minecraft and another is live translator, none of the employees said anything

Maybe this time we could just let Quackity do his thing and not accuse him nor his studio of anything before seeing what they've been working on? Even when QSMP was getting shut down they got their management reworked with new higher-ups, so none of those people who caused the chaos are working there anymore

Just please don't accuse them of doing bad without seeing a finished work, please

I think it's important for people that aren't from the US to know that quackity having his address doxxed isn't just dangerous because crazy fans might show up at his door.

It is incredibly dangerous for any cc that lives in the US to have their address leaked because they can be swatted with just a 911 call, and it can happen more then one time.

I greatly suggest watching qtcinderella's interview with anthony padilla where she specifically talks about multiple experiences with swatting, that were so bad she got actual ptsd from them.

It is extremely important to note that qt and ludwig are white and this is how traumatizing those experiences were for them, even with their privilage. Quackity is not a white man, quackity is a mexican man, living in a country with a police force known for their racism and xenophobia, which has actively gotten many innocent people killed simply because of their race or where they came from. Swatting is danger for any cc, but for quackity it is even more so.

So no, what happened to quackity wasn't just a tiny oopsy daisy, as accidental as it may have started, and I think people that try to justify it or dismiss it are disgusting and I please ask that you stay away from this blog.

« I didn’t get the chance to stream these last few days and, having discussed it a lot with Antoine, I was happy that he could speak in my name about the QSMP.

Obviously, I’m expecting drastic changes. For now, I’ve put my trust in Quackity, who was made aware of the situation and who started to take action towards big changes for the future of the server.

Obviously, I won’t keep going without Pomme, and I also want to give all my support to Lea who spoke up even if she was in a scary situation.

Those who know me know I’d rather talk about these kind of subjects when live, as I’m not very comfortable doing so by tweeting but as I cannot stream I thought it was important for me to express where I stand as well as expressing my support. »

i think whats always made me the most emotional about qsmp characters and players alike leaving is that it feels so much more. personal. a bit more gutting when it comes to the way qsmp functions.

the reason this server was made in the first place was to make connections between players that CANT happen anywhere else. or rather, are very difficult to maintain.

it's hard to consistently stay in contact with people who don't speak the same language as you. qsmp made a point to force those people to interact and everything else was just.. trying to soften the harder edges of communicating that don't happen elsewhere.

and its simultaneously beautiful and horribly horribly painful. because the world outside of qsmp isn't very accommodating. and often, as these are content creators with Lives, they don't have time to really maintain every friendship they ever make.

It's why maxo and jaiden and richas and pomme and dapper etc-- its why every death or absence from the server is so gutting. because you know when they leave, that this just /cant/ happen again.

i'm not saying this to be. doomposty. i know that's kinda what it sounds like. i think pepito said it great already; that new memories can be made and we can love the old ones.

i think what im getting at is that clawing back to a time that's passed won't make us happy, it won't take us back there. you gotta just keep moving forward. qsmp is changing a lot. it wont ever be like it was last year. that doesn't mean it can't be good later.

we're going to lose creators and characters and things that remind us VERY heavily of the times where we had friends that we drifted from or lost because of one thing or another.

but you gotta remember there will be more people who you will love too. new people, who won't fill that space but occupy something new because fun fact you don't ever run out of space for that sort of thing.

be sad theyre gone be happy they're doing well remember the memories fondly but keep moving. unfortunately a lot of qsmp has ended up being about letting things go.

To summarise what Antoine said:

Aypierre and Antoine initially tried to brainstorm a way to get Lea back in QSMP after the leak, assuming this was the only problem there. They then learned many more things through a big Google doc Lea made with proof of mistreatment etc

After Baghera and Etoiles read the document, they all started drafting a letter to Quackity explaining the situation and basically saying that if nothing changed, they’d leave.

They were in the middle of editing it when Lea brought the story to Twitter, which Antoine is disappointed in because he wanted to clean that situation in private as much as possible, but he says that what’s done is done and now they’re all waiting for change.

Antoine says that obviously, he expects DRASTIC changes and PROOF that these changes happened before stepping back in that server. He mentions that there might be cultural differences at play, but he still considers it way too big of a problem to excuse this as JUST a cultural thing.

He knows Pomme’s admin had her admin rights revoked for now, and said that if she is replaced, he will 100% leave. He doesn’t want to support worker exploitation.

He saw a summary of Quackity’s answer and said that it’s a good start, and he’s optimistic about the future and hopes for the best. But yeah, if the changes don’t happen, he’s out

Apparently BOTH Etoiles and Pierre stopped stream as soon as they heard what was going on. And I’m sure they are both doing whatever they can to also make sure Pomme’s admin comes back. Antoine will also support them no matter what (He loved PommeAdmin so much that he would rather her character die than be replaced)

Mine: If I see sexist comments and/or inferiorizing comments about Baghera, it's instant block. You all pretend you want more inclusion and more women on big project but when the time comes you act like they are not even human, don't even come close of the respect you give to men that are creators.

I hope this situation is resolved quickly. I hope Quackity and the cc’s are able to work to make conditions better. But in the meantime, we as an audience are going to need to be prepared for some things.

What things, you ask? Well, to begin, this situation is very similar to what happens when an unprotected labor force (in this case the admins/devs/etc) begins to communicate and band together for better working conditions (eg unions). The higher ups don’t want this. The higher ups are going to do anything and everything in their power to prevent this from happening. The higher ups WANT this labor force to be unprotected because it means that they can continue to take advantage of them and make more money off of their work. As more and more former (and, hopefully, current) admins begin to speak out, I can guarantee you that the higher ups will work to silence those still involved with the project as much as they can. If they think one of the current admins is giving out information or is about to go forward with their story, they will remove them first.

If this happens-if an egg admin suddenly stops showing up or shows up acting different than they normally do-it is because the higher ups have chosen to silence them rather than fix the underlying problem.

If this happens: WE NEED TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT.

If this turns into an actual strike on the side of the admins (which I feel would take the form of NONE of them showing up which would remove a majority of this server’s content and generate high audience support-and that’s without getting into a strike on the side of the building devs/writers/etc) we need to remember to support them. That means being vocal about what we want to see (better conditions) and letting those higher ups know that we stand with the workers.

If this becomes a strike-and I dearly hope it does-we as an audience need to support it and understand that the content we are used to may not be able to happen for an extended period of time. That’s the entire POINT of a strike; it’s disruptive.

This got away from me a little, but I think it’s important to note. I hope to fucking god that this situation is resolved quickly in favor of the admins. They have put too much time, effort, and soul into this project for some assholes in middle management to give them jack shit in return.

IMPORTANT QSMP DISC0RSE PLEASE READ ‼️‼️‼️‼️

Okay, for those who don't know, the last two days (even tho we have been complain for months) have been absolute hell for the Brazilian community, to the point that a lot of us are agreeing to drop the community as a whole, saying we will only watch our favorite Brazilian streams and that's it; we no longer want to interact or be a part of this server

The Brazilian QSMP Twitter community has been complaining about the fact that the Carnaval event, something that's ours and our creators were excited to share with the rest of the world, wouldn't have our creators be a part of it because of the time. We were complaining because we absolutely have the right to, since, as I said before, it's our culture, the most significant event in our country.

Because of that, a lot of international fans, and it hurts to say this, Latino ones, decided to make mass hate xenophobic tweets about us and our creators. Tweets that vary from saying we should be thankful Quackity invited us because no one knew about the Brazilian streamers (when actually the reality is we have about 8 Brazilian streamers as the most-watched streamers in LATAM) to saying Cellbit, Mike, or Pac should kill themselves, and finally, to bringing back the past relationship Cellbit had with his ex-girlfriend.

Because people who had no idea of the story caused a massive hate towards Cellbit and his girlfriend. So his ex-girlfriend used this opportunity to accuse him of a crime and later deleted the tweet, but the damage had already been done.

So international fans decided to use that as a way to be xenophobic towards us, calling us monkeys and many other racist things, plus mass reporting Cellbit to the point where he had to issue a response. I'll leave the English and Spanish translations here because it's something you all need to read, and beware because of the trigger warning.

The point is, we Brazilians are tired of this community. It no longer feels safe for us. It no longer feels fun for us, and it's absolutely ridiculous that a server that was created upon meeting and embracing new cultures would be so hurtful to us. And it hurts us a lot more, seeing as most of the hate is coming from Latinos themselves (especially toxic fans from quackity's community). French people have been the ones to defend us constantly, when our own neighbors have been nothing but racists to us.

I hope Quackity does something about this because we have been complaining for months, but he continues to be quiet about it, doesn't call out his fans, and pretends nothing is happening we will drop out of this server, even cc's commented how exhausting it is for us. This project was supposed to bring people together, but so far, we have been dealing with a lot of xenophobia, and we are tired.

I know this is more of a Twitter problem since everyone here is chill (even tho i have already seen some xenophobia in here), but I just wanted to fill you guys in on the news. And for those who watch Cellbit, we don't know when the next stream will be since he was just forced to talk about his sexuality and abuse. Please shower him with a lot of love and positive messages. For you guys to have any idea, he's trending #1 in Brazil, and even though the entire country used to hate him because of his ex-girlfriend's lies, everyone is apologizing and saying he's an incredible person.

Hello! I've been inactive due to the current events in the mcyt community, but I've been keeping up with the qsmp admin situation and I thought I'd share some opinions because the amount of doomposting I've seen the last few weeks has been more than I've seen in any fandom in a while and I feel like it's reached the point where people really need to chill the fuck out because they're not thinking straight and actively not helping. Everything I'm gonna say is based on stuff I've seen on both tumblr and twitter.

they should not promote/release merch! : one of the things that baffles me the most tbh; how do you expect any employee to be payed then? Merch is so far the only big source of income for the server besides q's own cc salary or whatever income they get through the official qsmp channel on twitch and youtube (which I don't think is a lot). "I get that they said they have no funds, but still it doesn't feel right"... sorry but at this point I don't know what to tell you, do you expect them to pull money out of their asses? You can't demand that they stop making merch and then complain that they can't afford the twitter admins at the same time. If you don't feel comfortable buying anything from them it's fine obviously, but if your reason for it is that you're helping the admins then I have bad news for you. I have seen people propose that quackity sets up a patreon, and while I think it would be a good idea, I understand why he's not doing it, since with the merch he can at least give something back to the people that choose to support his project instead of people just giving him money for free, especially with what's happening now. Also with how much hate he's been receiving simply for the merch I can't imagine that a patreon would be recieved well.

we don't know if the money is going to the admins/ they should not use pomme's likeness! : the money is definitely going to go to the employees and admins because otherwise the server would not last. And as much as I understand people feeling protective over pomme's admin, quackity studios is very much allowed to sell merch of the character because it is not the likeness of the admin, it's a minecraft model made by the people that work there. Would you have rathered they skip her character entirely? Do you really think that would have been okay?. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen posts and tweets saying that pomme's admin has been confirmed to come back with the other eggs whenever it happens by pierre, who talked with her admin.

the admins of the update accounts got fired, it means they want to fire everyone, they aren't making things better! : it sucks that the updates accounts had to end and I feel bad for every twitter admin that clearly cared a lot about the project, but unfortunately it had to happen if there simply isn't enough money to pay them adequately like they deserved and ultimately the update accounts were not essential to keep the project going, so it makes sense that they were let go unfortunately. This is not gonna be the case for the egg admins because if they got fired (which they didn't), the server would basically end. Just because a cc does not know when they will be back does not mean it's not gonna happen. Just because tubbo randomly said that he's not sure if they will be back does not mean they were fired; tubbo is normally not a reliable source of information, even less so when he's been live nonstop for the past 20 days, which is prior to everything happening. If you genuinely didn't expect a reduction in non essential staff considering everything, then you have unreasonable expectations on how this stuff goes. As I write this, I'm seeing people saying that "they would understand this decision if q had set up a patreon to pay the admins", and once again I don't understand how people don't realize why quackity might not be keen on the idea of having his fans pay his own employees for his own project instead of, you know, doing it himself; and, again, do not fool yourself into thinking it would be recieved well. That being said, it's fair to criticize how everything was communicated to the admins, but I'll get to this in more detail later.

quackity should not have uninstalled social media, he's trying to avoid everything! : he's not avoiding anything, he's been off social media for a while now, which is why it took him that long to remove wilbur from the server. He has every right to not want to look at social media, as his focus should be on restructuring his server instead of doomscrolling on twitter because people think he needs to see how much people dislike him. The only people that he should talk to are those that have important information to tell him, like josè with the document. He explicitly said on stream where to contact him if you have helpful information and I'm sure that despite multiple well liked posts saying not to spam his email, people are definitely doing it anyway, which is probably gonna slow the whole thing down even more. I hope josè's document is able to be seen with pierre's help as well.

quackity studios is not communicating with their employees and leaving them in the dark and that's not okay : I agree with this. i think a huge chunk of doomposting lately has been due the lack of communication not with the audience, but with the admins, and they deserve to know what is happening behind the scenes more then us since this is about their current or future job.... that being said, I do kind of understand why they're being so secretive and shutting everyone out, and that's due to all the "leaks" that have been spread online. I understand the anger but I really wish some people would realize that discussing leaked bts lore stuff in ccs discord servers does not help the situation at all and instead makes it seem like they're only doing this to rile up the fandom against quackity studios by using the lore of people's fav characters.

At the end of the day, I think people just aren't used to dealing with a situation that does not have a clear cut solution and someone to clearly hate, so the result is this doomposting and the over aggressiveness toward anything related to the project. Personally, I haven't witnessed anything that made me lose faith in the qsmp like some people have been saying, as every change that we've seen so far coincides with what quackity said on stream a while ago. I only wish things were communicated properly to the admins clearly, as they're the ones most affected, so I hope that's resolved soon. Ultimately quackity is singlehandedly restructuring the server from basically zero, has had to fire people that were misusing money and power and, depending on what josè's document said, is probably gonna have to fire some more. This is not an easy process, nor a quick one, you're not gonna hear about sunshine and rainbows for a while and doomposting about everything you hear because you expected quick change is useless. Think before you speak, have a clear head and most importantly have empathy.

‼️ Antoine started his live talking about the QSMP admins situation, Lea speaking up, and Pomme ‼️

-Recapped the situation : about two weeks ago, Aypierre accidentally leaked a random discord convo between him Pomme and Lea, which is what launched the situation

-He doesn’t really understand why the admins can’t talk with them (the ccs) in private.

-Think it’s a bit extreme that she got fired and wanted with Pierre to send a message to avoid her being fired. They didn’t do it because Lea started to collect things that were going wrong behind the scenes and sent a long document about it to them.

-Antoine thinks she was right to do so and was chocked to learn everything that was going on, especially that people weren’t paid and threatened if they complained.

-Him, Etoiles, Baghera and Aypierre wrote a long message in english they wanted to send to Quackity, calling out the situation. They didn’t got to send it on time as Lea went public before that and then Quackity went live.

-He said that he fully supports people who spoke up about the situation.

-He said there is no QSMP without the admins and said if there is no drastic changes about the managing of QSMP, with proof, he’ll personally never come back because he doesn’t want to support a project that exploits people.

-He said : « Pay people who work for you. If you can’t pay them, don’t expect them to endure the workload of someone who is paid. The least you can do is at least treat them nicely and fairly. »

-Knows that Pomme’s admin was doing a lot of work in the server and she did get put off the white list on the admin discord and got her accesses revoked.

-Won’t play QSMP ever again if Pomme has to change admins.

-Thinks that what Quackity said during his live is a good start but things must change. He’s optimistic about it and believe positive change can happen if what must be done is done.

Remember that NONE of the ex-admins have said anything negative about Quackity himself expect from his lack of knowledge about the situation and not communicating with the admins. Which is a valid criticism.

Remember NONE of the past or current members of the QSMP have spoken negatively about Quackity and none of them have left because of him.

Remember that even now, no one has said they will leave the qsmp. There are people taking breaks or time off the server due to the circumstances but no one has explicitly said they will leave.

Even Antoine said he wants to talk with Quackity before making a decision!!!

Phil, Pac, Bagi, Foolish, Bad, Pierre, YD, Roier and others have played on the server since. They wouldn't if they didn't like or trust Quackity.

If you don't like him, that's fine! If you don't want to support the server, that's fine! If you don't want to buy merch, that's fine! It's okay to not like him or to have worries.

But I think it speaks more volume that some of his closest friends and members of the server haven't said anything negative about him, and I trust their judgement.

listen. grabbing u all by the shoulders. a lot of us are doomposting right now (myself included) and i feel like i just speedran the stages of grief rn. most of us don’t have any hope that the server and our favourite characters will continue. if any of you need to take a break, do it!! you’re not obligated to keep looking at your screens and refreshing the tag hoping for some kind of update. take a step back!! this will all still be here later and agonizing over it isn’t going to make any kind of progress move faster. read a book touch some grass watch a show read some fanfic!!! go do things to get your mind off this mess!!

and listen. i am lookin u right in the eyes rn. i don’t think the qsmp will completely shut down. there might be another server reset, maybe it’ll turn more into a fun modded server instead of something so lore driven, or maybe the lore will be one hundred percent content creator led with little to no admins. who knows!! BUT if the qsmp does shut down, it’ll be okay. i know that will suck!!! but i have done this with dsmp before and BY GOD i can do it again. worst case scenario, these cubitos will be our ocs and we can keep making our own fan content like every other fandom with a source material that is no longer ongoing. we’re all gonna be okay <3
