I am just now realizing that the look of the Bizarro Ninja is meant to make them look like Garmadon back before he was banished

And that’s probably why Wu had such a reaction to seeing Bizarro Kai without his sunglasses and seeing his red eyes

You think when he saw them he got flashbacks to the fight between him and his brother?

You know, Crystalized saying that Garmadon’s corruption was all because of the Overlord and how it was all so he could have a vessel really puts a new perspective on Season 2

Like when the Overlord says it was Garmadon’s destiny to come to the Dark Island, while it’s not wrong, it’s not that it was Garmadon’s destiny to come here and gain the power to conquer Ninjago, rather that it was Garmadon’s destiny to appear here and become the Overlord’s vessel, so that he may once again set foot in Ninjago and take the world as his own

Oh my god, remember when Skales just hated Lloyd?

I kind of wish they’d kept that animosity, if only for the sake of comedy

God, remember when the ninja used to just be absolute jerks to Lloyd?

#I started to rewatch Ninjago from the beginning #(well Season 1 at least)#and yeah they did not like this kid #also isn’t Lloyd basically homeless during this point in time?#since he got kicked out of Darkley’s and has no one to really turn to right now #that’s gotta suck #oh yeah speaking of which based on the dialogue it seems like the ninja knew about Lloyd already #and that he seemed to have a penchant for escaping his boarding school #that’s interesting #quibbs watches ninjago #that’s what I’m gonna call this #ninjago #ns1 #lloyd garmadon

Can I just say, I personally really like the short speech that Garmadon gives in Episode 25? It really tells you how he feels about his situation and it’s kind of tragic how he feels there is no way to get rid of the evil in his veins, and how he can’t be with the people he cares about because of it

Old Garmadon, how I’ve missed you…

#don’t get me wrong I do like current Garmadon #but the old one was just so iconic #he was my second favorite right behind Zane #and I think by season 4 he may have trumped Zane in terms of my favorite #I just loved the dynamic between him and Lloyd #and how much he cares for his son #and rewatching the show now I’d say Lloyd needs it #I’m really noticing that Lloyd pretty much has no one on his side (other than maybe Wu) and it seems like he never has #the ninja still see him as somewhat of a nuisance even though they still care #I’d say Lloyd needs someone who loves him unconditionally #and by god that’s what makes Garmadon so great #you wouldn’t think the evil dark lord would be such a caring father #especially when his kid hasn’t really proved himself or anything like you’d expect from villain parents #he just loves his son no matter what #and I love that #I think I went on a bit of a tangent there #ninjago #ns1 #ninjago garmadon #quibbs watches ninjago

Wu says “none of you are near the level of what it takes to be the Green Ninja”, and then I start to wonder…what makes Lloyd worthy of being the Green Ninja? Other than the fact that he’s the First Spinjitzu Master’s grandson? Is it…because he’s supposed to be a fundamentally good person, thus making him worthy of the title? The first season didn’t really show that if that’s the case, other than the idea that he got kicked out of Darkley’s for “lacking the ambition to become one of tomorrow’s masterminds”, or so I believe the quote goes

#I get that’s probably not what Wu meant and he was likely talking about their fighting prowess #but it’s what crossed my mind #also the real reason is probably that the writers wanted a good twist #and having the son of the Dark Lord the prophecy foretells being the person prophesied to defeat him gives a lot of good story potential #that the show actually explores #and also that this is a show made to get children to buy Lego it’s not supposed to be that profound in its storytelling #but if anyone wants to come up with a reason #fine by me #ninjago #ns1 #lloyd garmadon #quibbs watches ninjago #questions

I just realized, all of Jay’s suggestions in Episode 13 to defeat the Devourer that he shoots down all end up coming into play later in the episode

Sacred Flute? They try to use it with the Ultra Sonic Raider. The Dragons? They come back later in the episode. The Golden Weapons? What are used to defeat it. And the weak spot? Well how Garmadon defeats it, though that part was a bit more obvious

Lloyd’s spiel about needing the new issue of his comic is something I think all of us can relate to

#when I was a kid I thought this was a bit immature of him #but nowadays it’s honestly so relatable #I don’t read comics but I get like that with my shows #also side note but who makes the conclusion to your comic’s cliffhanger a limited run?#if the new issue was just like a special issue or something I’d understand #but this issue sounds like it’s integral to the plot #assuming at least the Imperial Sludge is like the main bad guy #what kind of jerk makes it so not all the fans will be able to read it?#how are they gonna understand what happens in the issue afterwards?#also it is completely unfair that in the trivia quiz Doomsday asks a question about the latest issue #when there’s a chance that people who are participating haven’t had the chance to read it yet #and he knows Lloyd hasn’t read been able to read the issue so that just puts Lloyd in an unwinnable position #sorry I went off on a tangent there #ninjago #ns2 #lloyd garmadon #quibbs watches ninjago

Remember when for one season the world of Ninjago became super technologically advanced and futuristic only for basically every other season to revert back to normal?
