·       There will be a single examination. It would be a major relief for the poor and women candidates in terms of fees, travel, lodging, boarding, inaccessibility etc.

·       There will be no restriction on the number of attempts by the candidates up to the upper age limit

·       Upper age limit relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved and special categories such as Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Classed, and Public Work Department etc.

What is the Common Eligibility Test (CET)?

CET or Common Eligibility Test is a computer-based online examination which will be conducted for the candidates of three levels i.e., Graduate, Higher Secondary (12th) and Matriculate (10th) for screening the candidates at the first level for SSC, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and Railway Recruitment Boards.

CET would be conducted for non-gazetted or non-technical posts to shortlist the candidates for Group B and C posts in the Central Government.
