Milgranon, hello again 🫡
Been thinking about what genres everyone's first songs would be, don't mind meeee
Yuma - I'm feeling hyperpop, bright and flashy, to accompany the visuals of the mystery labyrinth. A very upbeat tone, and the song would show some of the mysteries being solved in the labyrinth- no other context though. Each chorus would go dark for a second and show him doing the sword slice before a culprit drops dead.
Halara - Here I'm thinking the type of noir, like the old kind of detective shows? Grim and bleak visuals, and would mainly focus on them coldly accepting money, solving mysteries and beating up those who get in their way. The particular murder I imagine for them is them getting particularly angry and beating a guy so hard they break his neck, so I'm thinking there'd be a lot of people suddenly twisting their head in the MV.
Desuhiko - Rock. Rock, I'm thinking kind of fast rock. The song would focus on the split second that he made an order that he wasn't qualified for and what was racing through his mind then. I'm thinking the song focuses on the split second nature of it, using really short fast notes, and it ends super abruptly, with no warning before the instruments fade out.
Fubuki - Pop, but the kind that sounds really trauma-dumpy. The song would keep looping in on itself, reaching the chorus before the main melody goes back around 20 seconds, but the time it goes back each time decreases. The notes would reach higher and higher in pitch each time the track loops as well. Just before it goes back each time, it would show the person dying, and each loop closes in on Fubuki's face, who grows more desperate alongside the rising pitch. The song would fade out with Fubuki exhausted and unable to go back any further, just staring at the body.
Vivia - Acoustic, definitely. It would show him just living his life for the most part, in dreary colours as he trudges along. Every so often the colour become even darker before the sounds become rough and the screen goes dark for a few seconds. Then the colours return to what they were and Vivia continues going about his day. The fourth time this happens, you're able to catch a glimpse of a knife and the screen goes dark before a flatline sound can be heard and the song ends.
Yakou - Lofi, and the MV is very heavy on symbolism. The first part of the MV shows him and a bird. He cares for the bird, lovingly protecting it and shielding it from any dangers. During this section however, the image keeps flashing to what looks like a man breathing heavily while holding a knife. Halfway through, there's an explosion and it cuts to Yakou, holding a knife while looking down at something. The bird is then shown dead on the floor, with Yakou standing over it and seemingly looking somewhere else. The rest of the MV is Yakou pacing around, while flashes of the dead bird and him holding a knife are shown.
If you have any questions about any of my ideas, please feel free to ask me btw :)
OOOHHH OOUGHGH HELLO MILGRANON THIS IS SO GOOD GRAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I feel like I can't comment too much about the music specifically because I'm honestly not very knowledgeable on music even though I love it. I love ALL of this though I can picture the visuals so clearly in my brain its GREAT you're very good at showing through words!!! I also agree with all the genres and I especially love the Fubuki one where it keeps repeating and getting more desperate. Also reading Yuma's immediately made me think about Nero's Day at Disneyland? That kind of vibe fits the Mystery Labyrinth I think!!!
Im also OBSESSED with the symbolism you have for Yakou's like omg... Actually all of the symbolism and the metaphors and such you used like its so sick!!! You're making me desperately wanting this to be real /lh
But yeah this is all GREAT thank you so much for sharing I can see all of this in my brain so vividly I love it I love it.
As for like... In this alternate world where the viewers wouldn't know the characters I'm going to like. give my best guess on what people would vote them as based only on what you gave me!!
Yuma: I feel like it would be very strange, especially since it would be the first one. But I can imagine it being everyone's immediate red flag when you can actually see him swinging his sword. If you took voice dramas into account I think that would make the voting even more complicated. So I think it would be very close but for the first round he'd be Innocent. Halara: I think it would be majority Guilty. They'd probably have some very dedicated fans though who are digging up the evidence to prove they're innocent and analyzing all of the people they get their money from and all of the people they beat up... But yeah I think it'd be majority Guilty. Desuhiko: This would be one of the more difficult ones. Like I feel like it has so little information on the surface if you don't already know what's happening. Especially if his disguises are also in play. Who is this unrelated guy? Is that his victim? Is it someone he knows? I don't think any of them would reveal their Fortes to Es and by extension the viewers so it'd be very hard to tell what's happening. And I think because of that for the first round he'd be voted Innocent because there just isn't enough info to condemn him for this first trial. Fubuki: Innocent for sure. I'm sure a small group would see her as guilty, but the viewers would probably pick up pretty quickly on how desperately she was trying to undo it and how it was most likely a mistake. I think added with whatever her Voice Drama would be would paint her in a VERY sympathetic light. so I think she'd be majorly voted Innocent. Vivia: Another one that is clouded in mystery. It doesn't tell us what exactly he did, why he did it, or what any of his motivation was. It just lets us know that, yes, he did in fact kill someone. I think the parts where it starts to go dark would be very heavily analyzed and could be taken in so many different ways by viewers. Taking the Voice Drama into account and how we talked about how he would be mostly honest but very very non descriptive. Everyone would just know that he wanted to live peacefully, and whoever it is he killed got in the way of that, but there isn't a lot of information. So all of that to say... I think it would be another close one, but ultimately he'd end up as Guilty. That said I think he'd be like a fan favorite. Yakou: I think with how symbolic his first MV would be, he'd also be very hotly debated among the fans. People would debate what the explosion means. If the explosion is what actually killed the bird and if the knife is a misdirect. But at the same time it very obviously shows him standing over that bird with a knife, so it's VERY easy to draw your own conclusions that whoever this bird represents must be his victim, because no one else appears in this specific MV. So that HAS to be his victim and he killed it, right? Did he mean to do it? No one really knows. But I think he'd be voted majority Guilty.
all of the fan theories would be WILD too like I can imagine all of the long tumblr analysis posts and theories and people pointing out details n stuff.
But if you agree or disagree with any of my reasoning please let me know!! This is so much fun to come up with I love seeing your asks and chatting about this!!!

Milgranon here (If I'm annoying you with the ask spam, please tell me btw, I can space out my asks more or something?)
I'm wondering how each Detective would react to the first interrogation.
Yuma - Extremely panicked and distracted at the start, doubly so because I bet Shinigami would be screaming bloody murder at Es the entire time they're talking, making it very hard for him to concentrate. I do think he'd adjust to the situation pretty well after the initial explanation though. I think the detectives would be in the order they are explored in the game, so I'd say he's prisoner 01, the first to be interrogated, and so extra paranoid because he would have no prior knowledge to go off. He is absolutely so dishonest about the entire thing, because his entire murder is to do with something that will kill him if he mentions. He's a pretty terrible liar though.
Halara - Curt and closed off the entire time. They seem to despise authority, so they'd be very unreceptive. That being said, I don't think they'd attack Es, even without knowing about the barrier. They'd probably be like "Well, I could beat up this one person, but who knows how many other guards there are?". They'd also know they have no chance of escape, at least this early on, so they wouldn't go so far as to piss Es off despite their unwillingness. I also think they would try and press Es themself for information, but back off there's any sign that it would negatively influence their situation.
Desuhiko - I've been teetering on whether or not he'd try to flirt with Es. It wouldn't be out of character for him, but also Es is 15 and I am God of this world so I say in this he doesn't. He'd be on the edge of tears almost immediately, and would probably be extremely open about most things bar the actual crime. Like he'd fully explain his connection to the rest of the detectives, but clam up immediately when it comes to the murder.
Fubuki - Very open, like extremely open and willing to talk about what happened. Would get extremely emotional and likely start crying about her accidental killing. She's friendly the whole time, she isn't a suck up, she doesn't insist Es choose one way or another. It's just a generally very easy interrogation and Es would probably get slightly annoyed at how easy it is.
Vivia - Very open about his killing, in the most apathetic sounding way possible. The killing I'm thinking for him was someone he really didn't care much about at all, so he'd be like "Yeah I killed this one person. They interrupted my peace and quiet. I want to die some day." Like he can also have a very deep, meaningful and impactful murder, but the one I envision is just so "meh" for him. He'd be so lazy and apathetic in his interrogation, I see him driving Es up the wall in irritation. He'd try to tactfully nudge into out of them, in subtle ways as well. He's still a detective and if he's not panicking, then his brain is fully functioning to try and break the hell out of here.
Yakou - If we use his canon murder, then I think he'd stay quiet, because he'd be worried about accidentally implicating at least Fubuki and Desuhiko in his crime by mentioning how they took part. He'd be friendly and cautious though, trying not to deny anything while also not implying or proving anything.
No worries!! It's not annoying at all, I really like talking about it! It doesn't bother me :]
these are all VERY good!! I think Es would be so so tired if they dealt with this bunch.
I think their relationship with the detectives would be a very interesting one. Es is only supposed to be a warden, but they also have to be a detective and a prosecutor. So that makes me wonder what the actual detectives would think about them.
I also think.. well bond isn't the right word, but they would feel at least a bit of solidarity with Yuma over both of them not having memories before any of this began. Es probably wouldn't give that information up easily, but maybe a few off hand comments lead to Yuma asking about it. Es definitely handles it better than Yuma, at least outwardly. they do have an identity crisis every other voice drama
And Es is the most similar to Halara, personality wise I think. But because of that I think it'd actually be harder for them to get along. They both have like... this kind of personality where they need to be the one in control of a situation or conversation. So it'd make their interrogations very shaky because they can't find a balance for their dynamic. Halara is hard to work with, and Es is hard to trust.
Desuhiko... Es would probably be the most fed up with him. I think Desuhiko wouldn't flirt. Maybe he attempts to just to 'butter them up' but Es cuts him off being like "I'm 15." and he shuts up immediately after that. Doesn't make him any easier to work with, at least in regards to his crime. BUT he's also helpful in that Es learns more about everyone's relationships through him. Still though, he's a real handful.
Yeah Fubuki would be the easiest to deal with, and Es would be conflicted because there's still the possibility of Fubuki being a Grade A liar. So they're on this middle ground of being like "finally someone whos not evasive" and "this could be a very huge lie". I also like to think that after that first interrogation with her Jackalope would be like "dear lord maybe taking her here was a bad idea" and hops away. Es isn't sure how to take that.
Vivia... Oh, Vivia. I think he would at first attempt to grab them. Mainly to see if Desuhiko saying they have a force field is true. I think if Vivia's interrogation was before Desuhiko's, he would've tried to at least restrain them. Like that energy he had in the lab with those peacekeepers. But once he confirms that information and realizes he really can't do anything, he behaves. Es would... not like him. Even if he's open about his murder, they would probably feel uneasy around him. Not even about his attempt at grabbing them, moreso just the way he speaks. He'd be straightforward about his murder, but he clouds pretty much everything else in mystery. And with how apathetic and neutral he is, it'd probably make them angry like you said.
And yeah, Yakou would probably be a bit strange to talk to. I think in terms of just conversing in general, he'd be one of the easiest for Es, but in terms of the case or anything/anyone surrounding it, he'd be very difficult. I think without the murder and prison stuff in play, he would see Es just as a 15 year old put in a strange position. Of course that wouldn't make him lower his guard, but it's just something that's weird to him. Like he feels like there's something to be uncovered. That said, he wouldn't voice those thoughts because that would get him a slap IMMEDIATELY. But I think they would have an equal amount of caution with each other which would usually lead to a stand still- at least in terms of talking about his murder. He's friendly, but the way he somehow manages to stay neutral to all of Es's questions would get them annoyed very quickly.
So all in all... A very difficult bunch of prisoners. Es needs a pay raise. If they even get paid. No idea what will happen to them after Milgram and that worries me ADJKHFAMDSF
but yes thank you sm for this ask... I love coming up with these things and talking about them!! you're always free to share more :]

Milgranon again, hello 👋
I believe the whole deal was that if Yuma *told* someone about the pact, Shinigami or the Mystery Labyrinth, he'd die. Vivia figured it out, so it didn't count as Yuma telling him.
So if Es somehow deciphered the music video and for some reason was like "wait, this labyrinth filled with monsters and mysteries isn't imagery or a metaphor, it's legit what happened" then I think Yuma would be fine, cus he didn't tell them. Or maybe it would count but it'd technically be a loophole because even though they found out from Yuma, it was very much not willing.
nodding nodding yeah that makes sense!! Thanks for clarification :]
And yeah... That's true. If Es did somehow find out about it, that would be quite the strange situation huh. Like... How would you even process that??? Like Milgram the prison by itself is insanely weird and Es just kinda had to accept that but if they learned about Death Gods or Mystery Labyrinths I wonder what their reaction would be.
But yeah all very interesting things to consider this truly is the AU that has SO many possibilities. like... when were all of them taken to milgram? It'd have to be before Yakou's death and Yuma entering that specific Mystery Labyrinth right? We still don't even know how inmates are brought to Milgram. Insane stuff all around.

I've been seeing all this uh
This Milgram stuff on your page
The Milgram and the Rain Code stuff I mean and
Can I ask, are you planning to write either of the AU's? Like into a story?
The Raincode Cellblock and the uh. The other one. The AU that goes the other way around.
No worries obviously if not, I'm just wondering because they both sound really fun and cool to read if they were a story
Im considering it!! Right now I'm working on a different thing that will be around 14 or so chapters. I wanted to write all of those chapters first before posting the story because I have the tendency to drop stories and leave my readers with unfinished WIPs... So I want to focus on that first, and if I end up being unable to finish it no one will be disappointed.
As for my two AUs I think it would be fun to do both of them! I'd have to develop things more past just Fortes and what crimes they did.
For my Rain Code Cellblock AU if I do that, I have a few different ideas as to how I'd like to go about doing that. Like if I just want to make it a regular fic or if I want to go the Milgram route and have readers be able to affect the story. So if I go that way it'll be kinda new for me and I want to plot that whole thing out. I'd also have to think about how I'll translate music videos into like. Stories without it giving the crime away so obviously.. Also things like if I want the warden to be one of the characters or if I should go full Milgram and have the warden be just the readers.
Also not sure which characters I want to make into inmates. I was thinking just all the detectives, including the chapter 0 ones. Buuut if I decide to go the voting route with this story, there's a very BIG chance that everyone will get voted innocent because those are our faves. And while that'd be very very funny, it wouldn't be super interesting to read. So I could also include Amaterasu people, but then I think the exact opposite would happen. And I can't exactly blame people for wanting to vote their faves innocent. We all know these characters, so it's not as mysterious as actual Milgram where we're still learning who exactly everyone is. This thing is probably the biggest concern of mine if I decide to go for the interactive story route.
As for the Master Detectives Milgram AU, it wouldn't be interactive, but it would probably be very long. And I don't mind long fics, but if I decide to do it I don't think I could write all of that beforehand so there is a chance of me going dark on readers... Still if I do decide to do it, I'll have to plan out cases and how I think everyone's Fortes can be used together as well as like a different ending. There's also the fact that Milgram isn't finished so we don't even know who Es really is or if the prisoners are hiding more about their personalities/crimes.
Writing about things that aren't finished is just a slippery slope in general. I don't mind doing it, though! I just know if I decide certain things for characters and especially whatever the hell is going on with Es that it will probably end up outdated. Which isn't something I really mind but I know future readers would probably be confused.
BUT to make a long story short the big thing is just: Maybe. Both will require some planning, and they'll probably be long projects. I think they'd be really cool to do! But they're both concepts I'm not really used to writing. I will definitely be talking about them more however!! They're very fun to talk about and it's cool getting asks with everyone's ideas. Kind of like a big group project! But I'll keep people posted on if I decide to tackle these or not :]

Milgram anon again hi
I've been thinking more about how Desuhiko would kill someone and then I was like "....identity theft."
So I was trying to think of a scenario where he'd imitate someone and that would lead to someone else's death
And that gave me an idea
What if he was imitating a high ranking member of something, and ended up being forced to give an order that ended in someone's death. Maybe he was a police officer, or a doctor or a politician or something like that and something like this happened.
*A crisis is happening.*
Disguised Desuhiko: "Well, would you look at the time, I need the bathroom."
Worker: "We need an order, what do we do? We need your guidance."
Desuhiko: (Shit fuck shit goddammit) "Um.... [A really bad idea in this scenario]."
Worker: "...You sure?"
Desuhiko: "Yes, absolutely, now I'm going to the bathroom (and will not return fuck fuck fuck)."
And then someone dies.
OH MAN
Not only would that lead to a death, but the person he's disguised as would be the one blamed by the public. Which in a worst case scenario could also lead to another death, but we can also be nice and only give him one (1) victim.
Still that person would be fucking RUINED after that.
Desuhiko wouldn't even know what to do he can't exactly say "actually I was disguised as this person so theyre not the one that killed someone innocent it was me".
But yeah in milgram he'd be like "wait is wasnt me it was that politician! Ahhahah (<- dying of guilt)" No clue how he'd be judged honestly he'd be one of those controversial inmates where no one can agree on what to vote him as.

(Still the same milgram anon)
Now I'm thinking what murders the detectives could do hmm
Vivia- He has totally killed someone I'm gonna be so honest. I don't know when, where or how but, with how ready he was to kill Yuma, he must have some experience. Maybe it was another killing for the sake of peace and quiet, who knows?
Halara- Kills a cop. I don't know if it's on purpose or on accident, but thats the only way I can realistically see them killing someone. Their beating up went too far? They through an enemy against a wall too hard and their neck broke?
Fubuki- Maybe a thing like she screwed up somehow and got someone killed- but add a little flavour in that she kept repeatedly turning back time because imagine how cool of an MV that would be. But each time she can't prevent the death that she accidently caused.
Desuhiko- He's a little tricky. He hates dead bodies, so he wouldn't kill on purpose. He also wouldn't (I don't think) harass someone to death because he seems to back off if the person obviously isn't interested. He's pretty competent so I can't think of how he'd kill someone by mistake idk
Nodding along to all of this. I feel like Desuhiko reasonably could cause a murder, but again it'd be unintentional or one small act had a big domino effect. Not sure what it could be. Maybe he was messing around in disguise? Y'know the teacher side quest where she has a stalker? Maybe his "murder" could be something similar where he was just goofing around but it led to something more serious than he expected. I feel like he'd be treated the way Fuuta was treated by the audience, in that he gets unfairly judged because his first MV only gives half of the context.
But yeah I can definitely imagine Halara and Vivia killing someone. Halara does have that vigilante vibe to them, so they definitely could've taken something too far or maybe something even like fighting on a roof or near a street and accidentally pushing the person they're fighting into traffic or off the building?
And yeah Vivia has definitely taken a life like he has the air of a guy who has killed and it haunts him. Not sure what his murder could be, if it would be someone random or maybe someone he knows. He's a tricky one.
And yeah... Fubuki one makes alot of sense. She'd probably be the most forgivable inmate. She regrets it, she tried so hard to reverse it but couldn't, and it wasn't even on purpose. She'd be like the only one who gets three innocent votes in a row I think.

I'm now so curious actually (I was the anon who suggested Yakou in Milgram)
Do you think we could do some reality altering rq and see if we could get any of the other detextives to be killers HOLY SHIT WAIT
YUMA. YUMA KILLED PEOPLE CANONICALLY IN THE STORY WE DONT EVEN NEED ANY REALITY SHIFTING
No but imagine an MV which includes the mystery labyrinth like
Imagine people trying to theorise out what the hell this historical labyrinth of truth is meant to represent- but it's literally what happened. Like there's obviously symbolism and stuff but also there's just the labyrinth which symbolises actually nothing
GRAHH YOURE RIGHT!!! My first instinct is to make Yuma take Es's place since theyre both protags. But yeah Yuma really does have a high kill count. Thats so true. That'd be a sick mv honestly
Other characters that wouldn't require too much reality altering would be Zilch.
We could also just do a complete universe swap we could also just make shit up.
I feel like any of the detectives could be murderers for VARIOUS reasons. Milgram will count indirect kills as murder and also suicide counts. So like Fubuki would be one of those indirect killers I think.

Okay but like
Consider
Yakou as an inmate in Milgram for his killing of Dr Huesca (I'm using my reality manipulating powers to say that he, through some bs logic, survives the gas and doesn't get stabbed, just indulge me here)
NO YOURE SO RIGHT!!!!!
we can ignore the poison and stabbing stuff its fine we can say its just symbolism. dont even worry about it.
Yakou's crime is the easiest to plan out since it literally happened in rain code but like. i do wonder that if this alternate world existed how people would judge him (especially with how unclear and symbolic most of the MVs are). I feel like with Yakou's crime, it would be difficult to figure out until maybe when the second trials start. I feel like it could even go the direction of everyone thinking *he* killed his wife in the first trial. there's a lot of routes you could go with for this AU and i love it
#moth speaks#ask#anonymous#milgranon#rain code#yakou furio#fuck how should i name this au since its separate from#the other one im doing#uhhh#hm#rain code cellblock au#might change that but it works for now#also thankyou anon for indulging me in my two interests#maybe after i finish writing my current fic#i'll start work on one of these two aus?#no promises#idea if i make cellblock a fic#instead of turning their memories into songs#it'd be easier to write if they turned into books instead#maybe maybe#idk yet
