Gingerbread Houses

"Have you ever made anything yourself?" You giggled, as you watched Ralph squinting at the instructions on the counter. "You're terrible at this, Ralph!"

"I'm sure I can figure it out." He mumbled, his eyes still fixed on the flour covered sheet of paper in front of him. "If the servants can do it, then surely so can I."

You were both currently attempting to make a gingerbread house together, emphasis on the word 'attempting'. You'd decided it'd be a fun Christmas activity for you both, except you were failing miserably.

Ralph had insisted that this would be an easy task, ultimately taking charge of the operation. Except now, he was leaning over the instructions, a half empty bowl of ingredients off to the side, whilst he attempted to figure it out.

"Careful Ralph, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself." You joked, noting how hard he was squinting at the paper. "I swear I can practically see the smoke coming out of your head right now."

He turned around then, clearly offended by your comment. "Hey...that was quite hurtful."

"Sorry." You chuckled, gently patting his shoulder as you stepped closer to him. And it was then that you noticed the flour on the end of his nose, so you reached up to brush it away with your fingers, finally pressing a light kiss to his nose. "You know I love you. Even if you're terrible in the kitchen."
