Both objects that share this nude, a picture frame and a guitar leaning on the wall, make one think that it was painted in the Casas studio in Barcelona. His family settled there in 1894 and he had a wide and bright space designed specifically as a studio that became also a meeting place and headquarters of several initiatives and cultural activities. Casas was a skilled performer with a guitar.
