I want to thank @cr.a.f.t, Hector, Jocelyn, and @roca.rocks for giving me the opportunity to showcase my knowledge and skills on poetry to the RGV community. What they are doing with creative arts with people of all ages is amazing. I’m happy the workshop was a success; witnessing everybody participating, writing, and reading their poems aloud so profoundly left me in astonishment. We already have emerging poets beginning to join the rest of us local artists. I may not know them personally, but they are truly capable of putting their bare truth all out on the vulnerable table. Progress is a process; consistency is key. As long as you resonate with any type of poetry, as you see yourself have lived or living these experiences, as they help you with anything you’re going through in order to move you forward and quite possibly inspire you to do the same, then from human to human, that’s all that matters in this bittersweet and beautiful life. It was an exciting, fun, and learning experience. Looking forward to R.A.P. at the Park’s ensemble event its last weekend! (at Brownsville Performing Arts Academy)
