Aw, thanks, Nonny! There are so many wonderful Rayllum kiddos, so that means a lot to me. I obviously like the idea of adoption for them, but I love seeing how other people explore the idea of Rayllum as adults and parents and I'm super excited to see if the show gives us a flash forward and a view into canon family life.

Not me basing my Raydia fankid on Korra 🙈 (Korra's body type, at least). The Claaravos fankid has long dark hair, so I guess Asami aesthetics? Sort of? I've been thinking about those two for a while and their interactions with my Rayllum fankid (from a different Rayla). The Raydia and Rayllum daughters have names but I still need to name the Claaravos daughter. There's also a Virayla son and he's from yet another Rayla xD then two versions of Rayllum son, Sorayla daughter, Calren son, Sorvus daughter and Ezris daughter. I think that's it, actually, unless I'm missing someone. Yes, I'm missing a Claudium kid. Anyway, they're all from a specific story that has many Raylas. It makes more sense in my head, I'm sorry.

finally did a little sketch of my rayllum fankids with their parents in a kind of a family portrait. From left to right we got Erin, Raegel and Daran. When the portrait was drawn Erin was 6, Raegel was 4 and Daran was 3.

This was the last year Raegel was going to be taller than her little brother Daran, by next year he would catch up in height and them proceed to outgrow her (Rae is just really short).

Callum and Rayla’s daughters inherit her eyes, and as such have Callum completely wrapped around their little fingers. He never could say no to those eyes.

Did Tiadrin, Lain, Ethari, and Runaan meet Rayllum's babies?

I’m not sure, but let’s assume they do!

Rojen and Runaan have similar personalities in some ways—sharp, focused, dedicated, and rather grumpy—and get along famously. Runaan was extremely hesitant about Rayla’s marriage to Callum, and it’s not until Rojen’s birth that he’s won over (though he never admits it).

Aylin is very attached to Ethari. They’re both homebodies, and she spends hours chattering his ear off while they bake together. When she’s older, he also teaches her a bit of metalworking. She has no interest in weapons, but she loves making jewelry and other trinkets!

Saija thinks her grandmother Tiadrin is just about the coolest person ever. Rayla wonders why she finds Grandma’s Dragonguard stories so much more interesting than her own (Callum assures her it’s a just grandparent thing).

Elias, to everyone’s surprise, is closest to Lain. He’s a quiet child, but somehow Grandpa always gets him to giggle.

How did Rayla&Callum react to the fact she is pregnant with their last child, even though they wanted to end up with the third child?

Callum immediately panics and apologizes profusely, but Rayla just laughs and hugs him. She’s thrilled.

After hearing that, he’s just as excited as she is.

When did Rayla find out she is pregnant with Rojen?

I actually have an excerpt from an unfinished fic about it! It’s set not too long after they’re married.

Rayla began to awake sick to her stomach, rousing Callum as she hurried to the bathroom despite her best efforts to remain discrete. He would kneel beside her, gently holding back her silver hair as she hunched over the chamber pot. He insisted his Rayla see the palace physician, and after several miserable mornings spent on the cold marble floor, she relented. Callum shared with the doctor his theory that some elf-hating kitchen worker was poisoning his new bride’s food, and nearly collapsed when the woman instead laughed warmly and informed the couple that the princess was not only perfectly well, she was with child. It was the happiest and most terrifying moment of their lives. They were both so young, still learning to live as husband and wife, and now they were about to be parents. They cried together, both in fear and utter joy, and immediately began squabbling over names.

It’s especially sweet news because they feared they would never be able to conceive children.

Meet my Rayllum Kid OCs!

Rojen is Callum and Rayla’s firstborn. With silver hair, pointed ears, and four fingers, he appears almost all elf, though his human heritage leaves his horns on the smaller side.

“Ro,” as his family calls him, is brave, serious, and fiercely protective, particularly of his mother, to whom he’s especially close. She teaches him to swordfight and to hone his connection to the moon, and he becomes the only one of his siblings to achieve Moonshadow form. Despite his bond with Rayla, Rojen also deeply admires his father, from whom he inherited his emerald green eyes, and aspires to be like him—even if he can find the dorkiness of both his parents rather embarrassing at times.

Although royalty were previously not permitted to join the crownguard, Rojen becomes the first prince to join their ranks. Corvus is a special mentor to him, and for his great heroics he’s knighted by his uncle King Ezran at age sixteen. During a mission escorting a royal entourage visiting from Del Bar, Rojen rescues their princess from bandits (and eventually marries her).

Fun fact: Rojen has a secret sweet tooth!

Meet my Rayllum Kid OCs!

Elias is Callum and Rayla's youngest child and second son. He looks remarkably similar to Callum, his pointed ears the only trait he inherited from his mother. Rayla suggested naming him after Callum, who politely declined and proposed they give him a traditional Katolian name instead.

Elias was a "surprise" child, but a welcome one nonetheless. A smart, sweet, and studious boy, he's pretty well-behaved like his big brother Rojen. He loves to explore with Saija, but unlike his sister, he's content to spend hours on end in the palace library, devouring books on every topic. Elias also loves to write poetry, though this means he has to endure many "tips" from Soren on the subject.

His resemblance to Callum does not end with his appearance. Elias is fascinated with magic, and at age 10 he forges his own connection to the sky arcanum, going on to study as a sky mage under Callum. However, he does not share his dad's temper and earns a reputation as a peaceful soul, eventually becoming an honored diplomat due to his unique perspective and clarity, products of his arcanum.

Fun fact: Elias struggles with the mage wing spell, only mastering it when he's 18.
