The Revenue Cycle Management process is essential for the success of any healthcare organization. RCM refers to the process of identifying, collecting, and managing the practice's revenue from payers based on the services provided. The revenue cycle starts as early as the patient reaches a healthcare practitioner to make an appointment. The revenue cycle comes to an end when all the payments for the appointments, and treatments, have been received.   Following crucial steps are involved in the best Revenue Cycle Management at NEO MD. • Pre-authorization and eligibility verification • Charge capturing and coding • Claim Submission • Payment Collection • Medical Service review The primary objective of RCM is to increase the provider’s revenue. Medical professionals implement Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management tools to assess, track, and effectively manage patient claims on their accounts receivables.

What is the difference between EMR and EHR?
Are you confused about the difference between EMR and EHR? 🤔 Don't worry, we've got you covered! 🤩
EMR stands for Electronic Medical Record, which is a digital version of a patient's paper chart created and maintained by a single healthcare organization. 🏥
On the other hand, EHR stands for Electronic Health Record, which contains information from all healthcare providers involved in a patient's care and is designed to be shared across multiple organizations. 🌍
So, while EMRs focus on clinical documentation within a single organization, EHRs provide a comprehensive view of a patient's health history that can be accessed and updated by authorized providers from different locations. 💻🌟

What do the common billing terms mean, Copays, deductibles & coinsurance?
Copay: A copay is a fixed amount of money that a patient pays for a specific medical service or prescription drug. For example, a patient may have a $20 copay for each doctor's visit.
Deductible: A deductible is the amount of money that a patient must pay out of pocket before their health insurance begins to cover the cost of their medical expenses.
Coinsurance: Coinsurance is the percentage of the cost of a medical service or procedure that a patient is responsible for paying after they have met their deductible.
It's important to note that copays, deductibles, and coinsurance can vary widely depending on the specific health insurance plan, so it's always a good idea to review your plan's details.

Avoiding Medicare/Medicaid Crossover Claims Rejections
If your Medicaid crossover #claims are rejecting it may be due to the address you have on file with Medicare and Medicaid. When Medicare crosses over your claim to Medicaid, address fields like Master address and Pay-to (or remit address) are submitted.
If Medicaid does not have the same addresses in their file, Medicaid will reject the claim.
