I think it is interesting how talking shit to others is such a big part of Arthur's character in the earlier chapters yet no one talks about it.

He talks shit about John before we even meet him, he is foul to Micah's face, plus telling Uncle that he does his best to avoid him, and those three can to an extent be rationalised also because those people don't seem to care, but there are also times where it is clear that the replicants of these comments don't actually find it funny.

The one I think about the most is Pearson, who asks Arthur if he can skin a deer for him to which Arthur replies "can I skin you?" and Pearson doesn't actually take this joke too well, sitting down and looking quite hurt as he says "You are always one with the jokes, aint you?" and to be honest I get why Pearson gets hurt, because Arthur has not said a single nice thing to him throughout any of their interactions up until then. Sure they are both under pressure, but still.

Similarly with Reverend who also does not like the joke Arthur makes at his cost.

Naturally this kind of smooths out throughout the game, but it just hit me while replaying how in almost every single scene he is making a joke at the cost of someone else. And while at the most time people don't care, likely being used to it, there are also others who doesn't like that Arthur makes fools of them, whicg is understandable.

I love all of the campfire songs in rdr2 but something I think about sometimes is that Pearson and Javier has learned of these songs FOR their friends. No doubt that they knew some of them already, especially Pearson seeing he travelled a lot, but Javier probably didn't know a lot of the english songs because he didn't know english.

You can find Pearson playing the song Home Dearie Home with Sean, which is also known as Ambletown and is about Amble the town in England, and when I heard it I wondered how Pearson knew it.

While he traveled far and wide with the American navy, he couldn't have learned all songs in the universe, and a sad song about an english town might not be one they sang. It is possible that Pearson learned it for Sean, learned it for a friend.

It is one of those small things that makes it really seem like a family.
