spn was really like
“hey what if the spawn of Lucifer was a mama’s boy and loved his mother so much but also she died in childbirth because of what he is so he has this entire guilt complex about inadvertently killing her by existing for half his life, and so he decides to save his friend dad guys’ mom bc he’s projecting his own loss onto them so he rips the universe in half to go find her and then they bond together until she sees him as one of her sons and he sees her as a mother figure and she calls him sweetheart and he swears to always protect her and they both truly genuinely love each other, and then he’s gonna actually kill his mother for real this time and spiral into even more self hatred and guilt over it because for the second time in his life he’s killed his mother just by being what he is”
and you expect me to be normal about it.

whump 11 anti?
Anon how are you!! Thanks for requesting! That’s all for prompts for now so we’ll get back to our regularly scheduled My Brother’s Keeper soon. Here is a pretty dark one, set in Anti’s early days. tw for gore. Also mentions of religion if that bothers you.
11. “You thought I wasfinished with you, didn’t you? Oh darling, the game hasn’t evenstarted yet.”
He’s been havinghallucinations for weeks.
This is justanother one.
That’s what hetells himself, anyway.
This is justanother hallucination.
Blood runs slow, slow, patient down from his neck, curving across his collarbone, hisbreast, his ribs. He chokes and spasms, gagging, suffocating on theliquid in his mouth, in his throat, pouring from his severed trachea. He tries to scream, but all that comes out is wheezing and blood tostain his blueing mouth.
He sets his headback against the edge of the bathtub and weeps, his mouth fumblingaround the words of a prayer that he’s half-forgotten after so longwithout recitation. He’d pray to Zeus if he thought it would savehim, but he wasn’t raised on Zeus. Old verses of salvation rise, foggy but warm, in his despairing brain.
“Hail Mary, fullof grace,” he whimpers, tears flowing warm down his face. “TheLord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed –blessed – I don’t – ”
“The fruit of thywomb,” someone finishes softly, and then there is a body standingover him.
He is consumed byterror the same way freezing water swallows up those who fall throughthe cracking ice of a February river. Shaking so hard his headconnects painfully with the porcelain edge of his tub, he dares tolook up, up, up, into the black eyes of the man who looks like him.
“You’re notreal,” Jack whispers. He can feel himself weakening fast. Hisfingers no longer move when he asks them to. His vision is dull. Hisbrain is stalling out. All that remains is the terror, a fear sopowerful it burns his heart to hold.
Anti stares back, unmoving. He wears the same soft white sleep shirt as Jack, the samesweatpants and haircut, the same deep gash across his twin throat.
“Finish theprayer,” he orders flatly, staring down at him. He smells likegasoline.
“Please,” Jackmoans, shivering from blood loss. “Please, you’re not real, pleaseleave me alone.”
“Finish theprayer, Sean.”
“Don’t call me –don’t call me – please, please, God, holy Mary, mother of God,p-pray for us sinners…”
Anti smiles. Toowide. Too many teeth. Too sharp.
“Good boy,” hesings. “Come on, finish it, what’s the last line?”
“I don’t know,”Jack groans, writhing, clutching at his throat.
“Liar,” Antihisses, and the blackness fades from his eyes, leaving them blue andgreen instead. “Don’t make me devour your heart, mamhuirnín.”
“Now,” whimpersJack. “Now, and at the hour – at the hour of our – death.”
And he feelshimself begin to die.
He doesn’t haveenough blood left. It’s all in the wrong place. He can’t breathe. Hecan’t breathe. He’s drowning. He screams out a rasping cry, the sameway rabbits muster screams before they breathe their last, and hecollapses down onto the bathroom floor, spasming frantically, hisspine arched to push him off the floor and his chest rising andfalling, rising and falling, rising and falling, rising and falling.Anti has come to kneel before him, reaching out gently to stroke hisgrey face, and Jack, desperate, reaches out to clutch at his shirt. In his mind, he begs, Please, please, please, please!
Don’tbe so afraid, Anti answers, andthe terror of hearing the demon speak within his own brain is enoughto make Jack’s eyes roll back in his skull.
Killme, he pleads as his heartslows. Kill me, kill me, holy Mary, mother of God, pray forus sinners now and at the hour of our death, death, death.
Antilaughs so loud the lights shake and flicker and extinguish, leavingthem splayed on the floor in the darkness.
Butlove! he cries, leaning forwardto press a kiss into the side of Jack’s head, to stroke a handthrough his hair and sigh against his flesh. There arestill so many terrors you have yet to taste!
Andthen Anti undoes what he has done.
Theblood disappears. The wound is gone. Jack is lying on the floor, alone, hyperventilating but alive.
“Jackie!” hescreams, staggering to his knees. “Marvin! Schneep! Please, someonehelp me!”
He can’t get up. Hefalls back down, and he cries against the floor of his bathroom, scratching at his throat, trying to claw away the sensation of blood.
You thought Iwas finished with you, didn’t you? Anti purrs. He is a shadow atthe back of the mirror above the sink, and nothing more.
Jack’s friends –his failed protectors, so useless against the darkness – comerunning like dogs to a master, but Jack is deep in his head, barelyresponsive. He stares at the mirror and Anti stares back, whisperingwords only he can hear.
Oh, darling. Thegame hasn’t even started yet.
It really is ahallucination, Jack realizes, when his friends have brought him back to his bedroom and helped himcalm down, when Marvin has murmured “it was just a dream” enoughtimes that he knows he’s probably a little hypnotized and Henrik hasdraped a cool washcloth over his clammy forehead and Jackie sitsagainst the edge of his bed, his eyes trained on the door, protectiveand ferocious. For now, he’s okay. For now, he’s safe. For now,Anti’s waiting.
It’sjust a hallucination. But it won’t always be. Whatever that thing is,he’ll come back, and one of these times, he will kill me.
Tearsleak from his eyes. He shivers and hides his face against his pillow. He touches his throat and wonders what death tastes like.

Don’t Leave Me
I have started writing more fan fiction here lately. It has brought happiness to my life. I have so many stories I'm writing all at once, but I wanted to finish this one. I am going to post a part two to this and it could possibly become a series, not sure yet. I hope you enjoy this one.
Pairing: Gabriel x reader
Warnings: angst and a lot of it (I’m so sorry), character death, cussing, and a small amount of fluff
Word count: 1,633 (Sorry, its long)
Summary: The mission was to save Jack and Mary from apocalypse world, but things go terribly wrong. This leaves you feeling like your world is crashing down around you, but it also leaves you wanting revenge.
Tumblr media
So, there I was stuck in this apocalyptic universe with what I considered to be my family. Sam, Dean, Castiel, Gabriel, and I were on a mission to get Mary and Jack back to the real world, but of course we faced some obstacles on our way. Ends up Lucifer found his way into the apocalypse world to find Jack, we had a crazy archangel chasing us, and we had to get back to the rift before it closed. It was all just a huge mess. I just wanted to go home and happily be with my archangel, Gabriel.
When Ketch showed up at the bunker with an extremely tortured Gabriel, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I thought I had lost him forever when Lucifer killed him. Long story short, Gabriel gained his grace back and made a deal with Sam and Dean that he would help them find Mary and Jack if they would help kill the demigods that sold him out to Asmodeus. They kept their promises to each other which leads us to being in this alternate universe.
We only had a few hours before the rift would close, so we had to book it. It made it difficult to do that, because we had to save the people in Bobby’s group from the archangel Michael and his army. We got everyone on the bus and the boys and I piled into what looked like an army Jeep.
“We need to pick up the pace if we don’t want to get stuck in this hell hole.” Dean had been agitated a lot here lately, but it was understandable. He wasn’t the best person to be around when he was in this mood.
“Calm down, we’re gonna get there Dean.” Sam has always been the optimist in the group.
“We will make it. After all we have done and gone through, we’re gonna make it home.” I was looking at Gabriel the whole time I said that. He gave me a soft smile. I pressed a quick kiss to his lips and reached over and held his hand.
He leaned over and whispered in my ear and said, “I love you, (Y/N).” and I whispered to him, “I love you, Gabe. Always.”
“Okay, that’s enough of the lovey dovey shit. Stay focused.” Dean was a grump. His strings were wound a little too tight.
We finally made it to the rift, but it was starting to fade. We had to hurry and get everyone off the bus and back to our world. Everyone was making their way through to the real world when a huge ball of fire flew down and hit the earth. The smoked cleared and it was Michael, he had found us. I was standing near the portal rushing people through and I looked up and saw Michael and Lucifer fighting. Lucifer was getting his ass kicked, which I didn’t mind. He was a total douche for what he had done to my family and now he wanted to be close to Jack.
I saw Lucifer fall to the ground, blood running from his mouth. Then the worst possible thing happened. I heard Gabriel telling Sam that he was going to buy us some time. Gabriel looked at me with sad eyes.
“NO!” I yelled as I shook my head. I ran to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, trying to stop him from leaving. I loosened my hold on him and I leaned my forehead against his.
“Please don’t do this. Don’t leave me. Don’t make me go through this again.” I pleaded with him. I was trying my hardest to hold my tears back, but it wasn’t working.
“Baby, you know I have to do this. I’m the only one that can hold him off long enough to give all of you time to get though the rift.” I saw a tear run down his face. He kissed my forehead and pulled away from me a little bit.
“I love you, (Y/N). More than you will ever know. You will always be mine. Now, I need you to get through that rift, so I know you’re going to be safe.” He leaned down and kissed me softly.
We pulled away from each other, “I love you Gabe, with all my heart. I need you in my life, so please just come home with me. Don’t do this to me.”
Tears were running down my face and he wiped them away. He kissed my forehead once more and turned to walk away from me. I tried to grab his arm, but I missed. I saw Gabe take out his angel blade and charge toward Michael. They exchanged a few punches until Michael had shoved his blade into Gabriel’s stomach.
“GABRIEL! NO!” I was yelling and sobbing. Gabriel lifted his eyes to me, they were filled with sorrow, and he mouthed to me ‘I’m sorry’. I saw the life leave his eyes and then the bright light shone from it. His body fell to the ground and I took off running toward him. I felt an arm wrap around my waist. It was Dean, he pulled me to his chest and dragged me to the rift. He pulled me through to the real world. I fought like hell to get out of his arms, but I wasn’t able to. I kept yelling at him to let me go. My body went limp with exhaustion. I stopped struggling and Dean slowly laid my body on the ground. I sat myself against the wall and tucked my head between my knees. I sat there crying and sobbing. Dean stood there, tears forming in his eyes as he watched me fall apart. Castiel and Jack stood there staring at me with saddened faces. Sam finally made his way back through the rift. He stopped and looked at me and then up at Dean. Sam rushed over to me and wrapped me in his arms. I was panicking at this point and it started to get harder for me to breathe.
“I feel like I can’t breathe. Sam, I can’t breathe.” My panic attack was getting worse and my head started to spin. Sam held me tighter. He told me to breathe in and out slowly and he ran his hand up and down my back. That helped me calm down a little bit. We sat there until I had finally calmed down. I still had tears falling. My eyes were swollen, and my vision was blurry. I was exhausted, I couldn’t move my body. A million thoughts ran through my head and I couldn’t stop myself from what felt like me going crazy. With the little bit of strength I had left, I picked myself up off of the floor and headed to the garage.
“(Y/N), where are you going?” I heard Sam ask. I didn’t answer and he started to follow me, but Dean stopped him.
“Sammy, she needs her space. Let her go.” Dean knew what I was going through, and he knew that I needed to be alone. I had to get away from all the people in that damn bunker.
Once I got to the garage, I grabbed the keys to my truck and climbed in. I left the bunker and just started driving. I drove to the place me and Gabe always went when we wanted to be alone. It was a little field in a forest with tall grass and there were daisies everywhere. The trees acted as a canopy that hung over the field and when the sun shone through the leaves it was so beautiful. As many times as we had been there, that place always took my breath away. This place meant so much to me. The first time Gabriel told me he loved me we were laying down beside each other looking up at the light shining through the trees and he pulled me into his arms against his chest. I could hear his heart beating and that sound lulled me to sleep.
I finally made it to the field. I went to the middle of it and sat down. There were daisies surrounding me and the only sounds that I heard were the birds singing. I was completely alone, and it was the first time I was able to process what had just happened. I was alone with my thoughts which was extremely dangerous. I never thought I would have had to say good bye to him so soon. I had just gotten him back and now I was by myself again. I started crying again and some awful thoughts ran through my head. How was I supposed to live without him? I laid down on my back and looked up at the trees. I started to sob and weep and I continued to do that until I had cried myself to sleep.
When I had woken up, there was just a little bit of daylight left. I got up off the ground and made my way back to my truck. I got in and cranked it up. All I could think about was Gabriel the whole time I was driving back to the bunker. I wanted him to be there waiting for me to return. I wanted to hear his voice, hear him call me all those cute nicknames he made up just for me. I just wanted him. I knew I wasn’t going to get that back. I started to grow angry. Angry at Gabriel, angry at Lucifer, but I was especially angry at Michael. Every time I thought about Michael, my rage grew. I wanted his head on a fucking platter and that’s what I was going to get. He was as good as dead.

13x18: Bring ‘em Back Alive
Then:
Tumblr media
Ketch rescues Gabriel from the evil clutches of Colonel Asmodeus, and Cas is MIA.
Now:
Tumblr media
Dean and Ketch make it through the rift and into the AU. Dean isn’t so sure about where they are, and instead of listening to Ketch’s insolent lip, he tells him to take a hike. Ketch asks to help find Jack, and wistfully, Mary. He did have a soft spot for her --and doesn’t seem to mind she put a bullet through his forehead (and according to Dean, would do so again in a heartbeat.)
As they wander, they notice angels and their human captives on a bridge. The angels quickly dispatch two of the humans, when the angel commander stops the final execution. Dean sees the captive before we do and utters, “no.”
CHARLIE!!!!
Tumblr media
I’ve got my fingers in my ears over the discourse that this isn’t our Charlie and the showrunners are so proud of themselves for making things right. I get it. I really do ---but I’m just too happy to have any version of her on my screen again that I’m just going to play in this sandbox. (And I’m still 1000% pissed over how they killed her in the first place.)
Also, is the commander AU!Cas?
Anyway, AU!Charlie appears to be a higher-up in the resistance. She knows where Jack and Mary are. The angels flap off with their hostage before Dean can get to her.
Back at the bunker, Cas is back from parts unknown and EXTRA salty his husband is in the AU alone. (Sam: He’s with Ketch!) (Us: lol.)
Tumblr media
Sam insists that they need to focus on Gabriel, not Dean. (Lol, “In love with humanity” Castiel is totally on board with this idea.)
Tumblr media
Gabriel is a tortured soul. He is a huddled, non-verbal mess. Sam tries helping by recalling some probable triggering moments for Gabriel and then tries to entice him with his grace. No takers.
In heaven, Anael is done with Lucifer’s bullshit. He’s busy playing card games, waiting for angels to worship him. Dumah shows up and conducts a little family therapy. (Because they’re siblings, right? Aren’t angels seen as siblings to each other? Like, stop you gross writers.)
Tumblr media
Lucifer asks about how the search for Jack is going. Dumah admits that they don’t have enough angels to find him. Luci refused to hear that, and she aquieces. Anael and Dumah exchange a look. BRB, Imma just making my heaven campaign signs: Anael+Dumah 2018!
In the throne room, Asmodeus is pissed that Ketch got the better of him and stole the archangel. And then he mentions that they’re connected, they’re “blood brothers.” So, Asmodeus can sense Gabriel’s presence because he’s taken his grace? Interesting. Is it the grace injections --or just any type of grace influence?
Dean is on a mission, and while Ketch recommends stealth, Dean dismisses him. Dean is hellbent on finding Charlie. Ketch sees right through this duty of Dean’s to see the personal mission underneath. Yeah, Dean is usually right but he can act recklessly when his emotions are compromised. He has A LOT of guilt about his Charlie.
The snowy AU world is so pretty. I’m sure it wasn’t fun to work in, but I bet production was over the moon with the snowy setting giving everything an even grayer and more apocalyptic feeling.
Dean trundles ahead, and gets shot for his impulsiveness. Ketch, and all his MOL stealth training takes down Dean’s assailant long enough for Dean to recover. They ask the man where he was going to take Dean.
Tumblr media
It seems that there is a POW camp about 5 hours away.
Cas enters Gabriel’s room, only to find it covered in Enochian letters.
Tumblr media
Gabe wrote out his story since his “death” in season 5. He escaped, yadda, yadda, yadda, Asmodeus captured and tortured him.
Lucifer is all cleaned up and ready to play God. He hones in on an exorcism, and heaven forbid demon #4332 is mistaken for Satan! He intervenes, shoos the demon away, and gets no love from the priests, so he smokes them. Oops.
On their walk, Dean clues Ketch in on angel killing bullets, and Ketch clues Dean in on his festering bullet wound slowly killing him. Luckily, Ketch recognizes the poison the bullet was covered in, and sets to making an antidote.
Tumblr media
Cas tries jumpstarting Gabe into feeling better, to no avail.
And in the most pre-episode controversial scene of the night, Sam sits down with Gabriel and tries to make him understand what’s at stake.
Tumblr media
There’s a real parallel to these two wayward brothers. They both wanted out. But Sam recognized that his family needed him. There’s no getting out of this mess. He tries making it clear to Gabriel that his family needs him to step up and help. (He also says, “I need you.” and lo, Twitter was aflame. I’ll admit to being salty for diminishing those famous words until I read @tinkdw post about Dean and the need for him to use clearer words. I felt much better!) (Also, I just feel so BAD for Sam. Like, I know he’s driven to find purpose in his crazy, stupid life --don’t we all? But, he wants out so bad. Give him balance and a partner to normalize his world a little! Blerg.)
Gabe activates what little grace he has, and Asmodeus locates him. (So much for all that fucking warding, Men of Letters!)
Dean and Ketch are still on the move. Ketch insists that Dean rest and Dean...pushes onward until he collapses. As he tends to do.
Tumblr media
Been there, buddy.
Ketch tries to tease out the Charlie issue and suggests heading back to the bunker to rest and try again later. (Which is a very sound suggestion if we weren’t all weeping CHARLIE over here.) Dean explains just how important Charlie is to us - I mean...him - and the weight of his guilt over her death. We get a flashback to Charlie lying dead in the bathtub which...thanks, show. We needed that reminder. Ketch claims to understand how Dean feels. I'm still having trouble believing that Ketch feels much of anything? If he's headed on a redemption arc then I guess I'll accept it but otherwise I just don't trust him. Like, at ALL. (Boris: Remember when Ketch killed Eileen? I do. All the damn time.)
Aesthetic break:
Tumblr media
Charlie, meanwhile, is being interrogated in some old shack. They ask her for the location of the resistance base and she spits back, “Bite me!” Fuck yeah, that's our girl <3
Tumblr media
Back with Team Free Gabe, Gabriel sips his archangel juice like a good boy and seems slightly more sane. Suddenly Asmodeus calls Sam and smears his smarminess all over the scene. He gives Sam ten minutes to hand over Gabriel.
Tumblr media
Upstairs, Lucifer rants about the whole world order. Humans. Demons. Angels. He's going to devote himself to finding Jack, use his powers to remake the world, and...BOOM happy ending achieved. Anael tells him to stop bitching and make good on his promises. For example, give angels their wings back. Lucifer admits that's impossible. Wherps. Anael tells him, essentially, to go fuck himself and splits in short order.
Tumblr media
Dean and Ketch find the camp just in time to see prisoners lined up for execution. The angels tie Charlie to the post first, pronounce their sentence and...
Tumblr media
Dean and Ketch make their move. They race into the compound, guns a-blazin', and take out most of the angels in short order. The commander flaps away while Dean unties Charlie and whisks her out of the camp. (By the way, I am 100% on board with the Commander-is-AU-Cas meta.)
Jump back to Gabriel. (SO many jumps in this episode.) The bunker's warning lights blaze and sigils gleam on the walls. Asmodeus has begun his assault on the bunker. Cas and Sam check it out and get surprised by a cadre of demons. They take the demons out quickly, only to have Asmodeus flick them across the room with a flip of his pinky. Two other demons drag in a battered Gabriel and present him to a smug and threatening Asmodeus. Ew. It's looking dire for our heroes when Gabe's eyes begin to glow. Suddenly he insta-heals himself and drags out his wings for a dominance display. Asmodeus tries to fry him but Gabriel kentucky-fries him instead, sending him up in flames. Phew! Done and done, right?
Tumblr media
Back in the AU, Charlie asks about our Charlie. Like Ketch, she tries to tease out why Dean's so invested in her well being. Were they...a thing? Nope. Charlie was into chicks. AU!Charlie softens. She can get on board with that. (Aw, Charlie) Anyway, Charlie tells Dean that Jack and his mom were last seen around Dayton, Ohio. And she also doesn't believe Dean’s wacky story about alternate universes...until she sees the glowing rift hanging out in the middle of the road.
In the bunker, Cas tries to convince Gabe to join their fight against AU!Michael's possible incursion. “You cannot turn your back on your father's creation,” Cas insists but Gabe tells them...like father, like son. He flaps outta there.
The rift starts to sputter. It's time to head back home. Ketch tells Dean to go back without him and he'll go save Mary and Jack. (Urgh I really, really do not trust him. He gets himself over to the AU so casually...so easily. With Dean gone, there won't be anyone to keep a wary eye on him. What's he up to? I seriously can't believe he's just...out to save people.) Anyway, I got distracted by my deep distrust of Ketch. Um...also Charlie isn't going back to Dean’s world.
Tumblr media
Dean is us, guys. Dean is US. It makes sense that Charlie is staying and fighting for/with her friends. But like Dean, we really want her back any way we can get her. (Me: plugs my ears and ignores people who tell me Felicia Day is super busy with her baby and The Magicians and probably a billion other things. Mumbles line about “anyone can come back on Supernatural.”)
This does give us some very good Dean pain which, I'm almost ashamed to say, makes me very happy. Dean gets back to the bunker, shakes off Sam's and Cas's concern, and asks after Gabe. They tell him that Gabe's gone...and so is the rest of his grace. Dean takes it very, very well.
Tumblr media
“Every time we get close, it always falls apart,” Dean says, despairing. And so we get their next mission: find Gabriel.
Son of a Quotes!
Champ, when the resistance crushes you, I’m gonna be there to shred your feathers and grind them into dust.
I just got spin cycled through space and time.
Sam, I don't think he's gonna open up and let the choo choo in.
Charlie was like family. She was a sister to me.
You might as well go back to the cage.
It's been...uh...what's the opposite of fun? ...That.

GOD'S GRACE AND MAN'S RESPONSIBILITY=SALVATION  BY STEVE FINNELL
There are two things involved in the salvation of mankind.  What God provides and man's responsibility.
WHAT DOES GOD PROVIDE?
GOD PROVIDES GRACE.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
All men who hear the gospel have the opportunity to accept God's grace.
Titus 3:4-5 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
Grace is God's mercy. Men do not work in order to receive mercy. Mercy is an unmerited favor.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
It is because of God's grace that men have the possibility to receive the  gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We receive the gift of salvation because of our faith in Jesus Christ. We are not saved because of our good works or keeping the Law of Moses.
GOD PROVIDES A SAVIOR.
1 John 4:9-10 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
GOD PROVIDES THE MEANS BY WHICH MEN MAY HEAR THE GOSPEL.
Romans 10:13-15 14...And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent.....
Matthew 28:18-20 ....19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations......20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you...
GOD PROVIDED HIS WRITTEN WORD, THE BIBLE, SO THAT WE MAY BELIEVE AND HAVE LIFE.
John 20:30-31....31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.
---God provides grace, a Savior, preachers of the gospel, and the Bible---
WHAT IS MAN'S RESPONSIBILITY?
Man's responsibility is to be obedient to the gospel.
2 Thessalonians 1:6-9....8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus......
Obedience is required. Good works and following the Law of Moses are not equivalent to being obedient to the gospel.
Hebrews 5:8-9.....9 And having been made perfect, He became toall those who obey Him the sourced of eternal salvation,
Obedience is man's responsibility in order to receive salvation.
Mark 16:16 He who has believed  and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
You need to believe and be baptized in water in order to be saved.
Romans 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
Whoever calls on Jehovah God will be saved. Calling on false Gods cannot save anyone.
Acts 22:16 Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name!
Saul was told to be baptized and call on the name of the Lord to have his sins washed away. Saul had already believed in Jesus and repented, while on the road to Damascus,  three days prior.
(Paul was not saved by faith only)
Saul's responsibilities were to believe in Jesus, repent (turn from sin and turn toward God), be baptized in water, and call on the name of the Lord.
When you confess Jesus, you are calling on the name of the Lord.
Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Men must confess Jesus as Lord and savior and believe in His resurrection from the dead in order to be saved. (Men are not saved by grace alone)
Acts 8:27-38...35 Then Phillip open his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. 36 As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said. "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" 37 [And Phillip said, :If you believe with all your heart , you may."And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."] 38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Phillip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him.
The eunuch believed in Jesus, he repented, he confessed Jesus  as the Christ and as the Son of God. He was baptized in water. The eunuch fulfilled his responsibilities for salvation.
On the Day of Pentecost Peter preached the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and proclaimed Him Lord and Christ. When the 3000 believed Peter's sermon, they asked what they should do? (Acts 2:22-38.....38 Peter said to them, Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.)
Acts 2:40-41 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation!" 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.
Notice: Peter said be saved, future tense. After they believed and were baptized, then they were saved and added to the church. The three thousand souls were only added after they believed and were baptized.
The Lord only adds the saved to His church. Acts 2:47 ...And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
What was the responsibility of the 3000?
1. To believe in the resurrected Jesus.
2. To believe that Jesus was the Christ and accept Him as Lord. 3. To repent (repent means to make the commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God).
4. They had to be baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.
SALVATION?
God provides: 1. Grace. 2. The Savior. 3. Preachers of the gospel. 4. His written word, the Bible.
Man's responsibilities: BE OBEDIENT 1. Listen to the gospel. 2. Believe the gospel. 3. Confess Jesus as Lord, the Christ, and as God's only Son. 4. Believe that God resurrected Jesus from the dead. 5.Repent (make the commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God). 6. Be baptized in water.
FAITH is for the forgiveness of sins.
CONFESSION is for the forgiveness of sins.
REPENTANCE is for the forgiveness of sins.
WATER BAPTISM is for the forgiveness of sins.
Men can be saved in two hours  more or less. No work, no good deeds, and no law keeping is required---Then remain faithful until death. (Matthew 10:22)

What Does the
Resurrection
Mean to Me,
Personally? BY GEORGE  L. FAULL
A city slicker moved to the
country. He met a country girl
and he wanted to win her
heart. He gave her a ring out of a Cracker Jack box that
was studded with colored glass. They looked like red
Rubies, blue Emeralds, and green Sapphire stones. He
told her the big center diamond was real.
Of course she did not believe it. She rejected the
diamond with these words, "Why would anyone set a real
diamond among fake jewels?"
Good question!
Why do Christians, who are trying to win the heart of the
world, set the diamond of the resurrection amidst a fake
setting of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter hams,
Easter lilies, and hot cross buns, then put it on a movable
date determined by the moon, and then call the
celebration after a pagan goddess of fertility and
fornication? No wonder some find it hard to believe!!!
You know the True story.
Jesus was crucified.
The disciples were sad, but He arose.
The women were told by the angels, "Why seek the living
among the dead? He is not here. He has risen as He
said."
The disciples did not believe.
He appeared unto Mary. She was told, “Why weep ye?
Go tell My disciples.” But the disciples did not believe.
Peter saw Him. Some did not believe.
He appeared unto the ten and commissioned them to wait
in Jerusalem. Luke 24
Thomas was absent and he would not believe. Later,
Jesus appeared to all the apostles, and Thomas believed.
John 20:22 ff
Jesus appeared unto them again and rebuked them for
their unbelief of not believing the women. He
commissioned them again. Mark 16
He then appeared again in Galilee. Still some doubted.
He commissioned them again. Matthew 28
Today, unbelief is still common.
The women saw an empty tomb and were spoken to by
angels; but could not prove it.
Mary saw Him; but could not prove it.
Peter saw Him; but could not prove it.
The Apostles saw Him; but could not prove it.
The men on the road to Emmaus saw Him; but could not
prove it.
500 brethren saw Him at once; but could not prove it.
Did it happen? I do not like the song, “You ask me how I
know He lives, He lives within my heart.” That’s
subjective.
It boils down to these objective truths:
The empty tomb.
The grave clothes were empty.
The testimony of witnesses who gave their lives as
martyrs.
The Church is here.
The Word is a testimony.
The conversion of Saul of Tarsus.
Spring only hints of it. (There is hope of a tree that when it
dies, it shall live again. A seed must fall and die or it
cannot bring forth fruit.) Job 14:7, John 12:24
Did it happen? Does it make any difference? Why must
we have a resurrection? Can't we just have His good
moral teaching and His great example? Why is all this
dead, buried, and risen stuff necessary anyway?
"From the cowardice that shrinks from
new truth, from the laziness that is content
with half truths, from the arrogance that
thinks it knows all truth, O, God of Truth,
deliver us."
B-5452 THE GOSPEL UNASHAMED April 2009
Who needs an exemplary liar? Who needs a moral code
from a deceiver? Who needs a teacher whose basic
doctrine brings strife and arguments? Not me.
But what if He did arise? That changes things. I believe
He did arise. So what does the resurrection mean to me
personally?
It assures me that my convictions are true, for He
is risen as He said, and all He said will come to pass.
It is pure silliness to believe in a God and not believe
He could rise from the dead.
It means I am forgiven of my sins and my
conscience is right in being pure. “If He is not risen, I
am yet in my sins.” His resurrection proves the
acceptance of His payment. “It is finished” means
“paid in full”...and I have peace with God.
It confirms my confidence of my own resurrection
from the dead.
I Corinthians 15:23, “But every man in his own order:
Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at
his coming.”
Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up
Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up
Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal
bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
It gives me the hope of seeing my Christian family
and friends again.
I Corinthians 15:18 “Then they also which are fallen
asleep in Christ are perished.” (If Christ is not raised.)
It confirms my life has meaning and purpose.
I Corinthians 15:29-32, “29 Else what shall they do
which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at
all? why are they then baptized for the dead? 30 And
why stand we in jeopardy every hour? 31 I protest by
your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I
die daily. 32 If after the manner of men I have fought
with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if
the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to
morrow we die.”
It assures me that I am enabled with the power to
live a victorious life.
Ephesians 1:19-20, “19 And what is the exceeding
greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power, 20
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from
the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the
heavenly places,”
It assures me I can give what I want because my
treasure is in Heaven. Remember the Rich Young
Ruler?
Mark 10:21, “Then Jesus beholding him loved him,
and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy
way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor,
and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come,
take up the cross, and follow me.”
It guarantees me my hospitality will be rewarded
at the resurrection of the just.
Luke 14:13-14, “13 But when thou makest a feast,
call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14 And
thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense
thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the
resurrection of the just.”
It guarantees me an incorruptible inheritance.
I Peter 1:3-4, “3 Blessed be the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively
hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the
dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and
undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in
heaven for you,”
It is an assurance that my life creed is valid. Life is
stronger than death, Good is stronger than evil, Truth
is greater than error, Love is stronger than hatred and
God is mightier than Satan..... and that is good news.
It comforts me to know that what I did not have in
material things, nor what I may gain in a physical
world, does not matter in eternity since I will wake
in a spiritual world, and my physical body will be
changed to a spiritual body. That makes things in life
a lot less important to me now because I can live as a
pilgrim or sojourner heading home. Who fights over a
snowflake? This world’s goods are “fool’s gold”.
It convinces me that all He said is true. The
resurrection of the just and the unjust. Some will rise
to everlasting life, and some to damnation. The
ungodly will be dealt with, but the meek will win and
the pure in heart shall see God.
It means I've been commissioned to make
disciples of all that I meet. My task is before me. In
each appearance He commissioned each who saw
Him.
Mary was to go tell.
The women were to go tell.
Peter was told to feed His sheep, His lambs.
Disciples were to start in Jerusalem and go make
disciples, teach, baptize, and teach to observe all
things.
Even Paul was a chosen vessel to men.
I, too, must tell it.April 2009 THE GOSPEL UNASHAMED 3
Conclusion
Whether Jesus arose makes all the difference to me.
Because He lives, I shall live.
I have hope when I am dying.
I have confidence when I stumble.
I have a Savior who forgives my sin.
I have a Mediator when I pray.
I have peace that passes understanding.
I have a joy unspeakable and full of glory.
I have power to live victoriously.
I have a commission to fulfill.
I have assurance of seeing my saved loved ones again.
I have a faith that is unshakable.
I have hope that all will be made right.
I have a reason to believe He will come again, just as He
said.
If you do not believe He lives, you have no:
♦ Hope
♦ Confidence
♦ Savior
♦ Mediator
♦ Peace with God
♦ Lasting joy
♦ Power to be an overcomer
♦ Meaning in life
And you live and will die in doubt.
You can never say with Job, "I know that my redeemer
liveth and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the
earth, and though after my skin, worms destroy my flesh,
yet in my flesh shall I see God, whom I shall see for
myself and not another."
Forget the bunnies, eggs, lilies, hot cross buns, and the
lies that Satan has added to the story. Just stick with the
facts and believe the Gospel.
I Corinthians 15:1-4, “1 Moreover, brethren, I declare
unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which
also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which
also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached
unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I
delivered unto you first of all that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose
again the third day according to the scripturesPosted by

DEATH PENALTY FOR THE UNBORN? BY STEVE FINNELL
Is the death penalty for the unborn a sin? Some would say, yes with the exception of those babies that were conceived in rape and incest or those killed to protect the life of the mother.
Questions:
1. Would those who advocate killing innocent babies that were conceived by rape be willing to give a death sentence to the guilty rapist?
2. Would they be in favor of executing the adult that is guilty of incest or is pronouncing a death sentence for the unborn the only moral choice.
3. Can killing the unborn really protect the life of the mother? If killing unborn babies makes women healthier, then why not abort all babies. How can killing babies save women's lives?
If killing babies can save the life of the mother, then why is not the opposite true. Can killing the mother saved the life of the baby? Of course not, and killing babies does save mothers lives.
Killing the innocent is murder. Matthew 5:21 "You have heard that it was said of old 'You shall not murder,' and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgement.(NKJV)
Can abortion be forgiven? Yes. Through Jesus Christ. John 3:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9, Mark 16:16.

WATER BAPTISM-IMMERSION, SPRINKLING OR POURING? BY STEVE FINNELL
What is the meaning of water baptism? Is it immersion in water? Is it being sprinkled with water? Is it having water poured on a person? Is it all three?
The Greek word baptizo was not translated into English, in most translations. Baptizo was transliterated into English as baptize. The definition of transliterate is; to change letters, words, etc. into corresponding characters of another alphabet or language.
I am going to quote from a translation that translates the Greek word baptizo into English. THE BETTER VERSION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT BY CHESTER ESTES (TBVOTNT)
Matthew 3:16 And when Jesus was immersed, he went up from the water, and, behold, immediately the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and resting upon him.
There is no translation that reads-Jesus was sprinkled or poured.
Acts 8:38 Then he commanded the chariot to stand still; and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he immersed him.
There is no translation that reads-he sprinkled or poured him.
Acts 2:38 The Peter said unto them, Let each of you repent and be immersed, in the name of Jesus Christ, in order to the remission of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
There is nor translation that reads-repent and be sprinkled or poured.
Acts 10:47 Can any one forbid water, that these should not be immersed, who received the Holy Spirit , even as we did.
There is no translation that reads-that these should not be sprinkled or poured.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you have been immersed into Christ, have put on Christ.
There is no translation that reads-have been sprinkled or poured into Christ.
Romans 6:4 We were, therefore, buried with him by immersion into that death; that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, thus we also should walk in newness of life.
There is no translation that reads- buried with him by sprinkling or pouring.
Colossians 2:12 Having been buried with him by immersion, by which also you were raised up with him, through the belief of the strong working of God, who raised him from the dead.
There is no translation that reads-buried with him by sprinkling or pouring.
1 Peter 3:20-21.....to safety by water. 21 The like figure, in which immersion does, also, now save us (not a putting away of the filth of the flesh, but seeking of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ;
There is no translation that reads- to safety by water. The like figure which is sprinkling or pouring.
Acts 14:4 Paul then said to them, John immersed with the immersion of repentance, saying to the people that they should should believe on him who would come after him, that is, Jesus.
There is no translation that reads-John sprinkled or poured with the sprinkling or pouring of repentance.
Matthew 28:19 Go you, therefore, making disciples of all nations,immersing them into the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
There is no translation that reads-sprinkling or pouring them into the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:16 He who has believed, and has been immersed, will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
There is no translation that reads-and has been sprinkled or poured, will be saved.
BAPTIZE MEANS IMMERSION AS TRANSLITERATED FROM THE GREEK WORD BAPTIZO.
BAPTIZO TRANSLATED FROM THE GREEK MEANS IMMERSION.

Dear Brother
Faull,
I confronted my preacher about
his lack of mentioning baptism. I
am not sure that any newcomer
understands how to be saved
when visiting my church.
I think baptism particularly is
diminished from its proper place
into an act that is symbolic of salvation, but not actually
part of it; I don't subscribe to that. I want the simple Bible
truth to be preached and obeyed without any kind of
philosophic mumbo-jumbo.
I was told to preach Christ, not baptism. In my
understanding, I am preaching Christ. I only call up the
issue of baptism because it is precisely what seems to
be de-emphasized inordinately.
ANSWER
Phillip preached unto the Eunuch "Jesus" and the
Eunuch said "here is water what doth hinder me to be
baptized." Wonder how he knew he had to be
baptized just because he preached unto him Jesus. "
Just preach Jesus" is a cop out. When you preach Jesus
you surely tell his promise "He that believeth and is
baptized shall be saved and he that believeth not shall
be damned."
Who would talk about a Savior and not say what the
Savior said you had to be do to be saved?
He said, therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins:
for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your
sins.” John 8:24
He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth
on me hath everlasting life." John 6:47
He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth
my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation;
but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24
He said, ”…if you do not confess me before men I will
not confess you before my father in Heaven.” Luke 12:8-
9
He said, “If you do not repent you will likewise perish”.
Luke 13:3
He said, “Except you are born of the water and the Spirit
you CANNOT enter into the kingdom of God”. John 3:5
He said, “Whosoever believes and is baptized shall be
saved”. Mark 16:16
He said, “Whosoever is ashamed of me AND MY
WORDS of him I will be ashamed”. Luke 9:26
Those who will talk about the Man and will not tell THE
PLAN OF THE MAN is OBVIOUSLY ASHAMED OF
THE MAN AND HIS WORDS.
Such a man is in a precarious position. It is one I would
not want to be in for any amount of money, praise,
acceptance, approval, salary, excuse, or numbers who
hear me preach.
God knows what men need. He put baptism in the plan.
Baptism is the point of pardon and if a preacher will not
tell people where the point of pardon is, he is not a
faithful preacher.
He is no better than a doctor who would not tell a person
of a cure for cancer when he knew of the medicine that
would cleanse them of the disease.
People have a sin problem and baptism into Christ is
where one receives the remission of sins and the Gift of
the Holy Spirit. In Christian baptism we get rid of the
guilt of sin, the consequence of sin, and the power of
sin.
A man who will not tell sinners that, is no preacher of
Jesus ChristPosted by

CALLED AND CHOSEN
Matthew 22:14 For many are called , but few are chosen."
Definition of called: Invited or summoned.
Definition of chosen: Those who are eligible  or suited for election. Elected and chosen are synonymous.
WHO ARE THE CALLED?
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Every person who has heard the gospel has been called. The call is not limited to a select few who have been predestined for salvation.
WHO ARE THE CHOSEN (THE ELECTED)?
The chosen are the ones who are obedient to the call of the gospel.
The chosen are those who have
1. Faith: John 3:16
The chosen are those who 2. Repent: Acts 3:19 (Repent means to make the commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God).
The chosen are those who 3. Confess: Roman 10:9-10
The chosen are those who are 4. Baptized in water: Acts 2:38
The chosen are not those who were supposedly, unconditionally selected for salvation. The chosen have to be suited for election.
THE CALLED WHO ARE NOT CHOSEN.
Matthew 22:2-3 "the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. 3 And he sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.
Many have had the gospel preached to them, but of their own free-will have rejected the call. If men reject the gift of eternal life by rejecting Jesus as Lord and Savior; then they have been called, but not chosen.
Matthew 22:11-14 "But when the king came to look over the dinner quests, he saw a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes, 12 and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?" 13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' 14 For many are called  but few are chosen."
This wedding quest was disinvited. He was called but not chosen ; because he was not suitable to be chosen. Improper clothing was a big deal.
Galatalians 3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
DO YOU HAVE THE PROPER WEDDING CLOTHES TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
When you stand before the KING OF KINGS are you going to be speechless when He asks; where are your wedding clothes? WHAT WILL YOU SAY WHEN HE ASKS YOU WHY YOU REJECTED IMMERSION IN WATER FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS. WHAT WILL YOUR ANSWER BE, WHEN JESUS ASKS YOU WHY YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITH BEING CLOTHED IN CHRIST?
MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN!

CREED BOOKS?    BY STEVE FINNELL
If what is written in creed books is exactly what is penned in the Bible, then, what is the purpose of creed books? The reason to have a creed book is to add or take away from Scripture.
Creed books in most denominations are the final authority when it comes to teaching about faith and practice.
Could the doctrinal positions taken by your denomination be supported by using the Bible and the Bible alone? If not why not?
Proverbs 28:22 5-6 Every word of God is pure; He is a shield of those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do no add to His words, Lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.
Is every word found in your creed book pure? Creed books do add to God's word. Are you putting your trust in God when you use you creed book as your authority or are you trusting the writers of the creed book?
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If any one adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things written in this book.
If your denomination is using modern day creed books of so-called new revelation? Why would you not question that teaching.
Deuteronomy 4:2 "You shall not add to the word which I commanded you, nor take anything from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I commanded you.
God has never left it up to men to write their own commandments. God has not given men the authority to devise their own terms of pardon. GOD HAS NOT CHANGED THE TERMS FOR PARDON UNDER THE NEW COVENANT. THE BIBLE WAS COMPLETED NINETEEN HUNDRED YEARS AGO.
GOD WROTE THE BIBLE. MEN WRITE CREED BOOKS.
(Scripture from: NKJV)
Note: Philip used the Scriptures to teach the Ethiopian eunuch. He did not open a creed book. (Acts 8:35)

THE BIBLE OR MEN'S OPINIONS?
Is the Bible the accurate word God or are the opinions of men the absolute truth?
According to the average of May 2005, May 2006, May 2007 Gallup Polls state that 40% of  protestants and 45% of other Christians believe that the Bible is the actual word of God, to be taken literally. If that is a fact, then at least 55% who claim to be Christians do not believe the Bible is God's accurate word.
If those claiming to be Christian do not trust the Bible, then who or what do they trust? They are left with the opinions of men.
JOHN MacArthur Quote:
In Acts 2:38, Peter appears to link forgiveness of sins to baptism. But there are several plausible interpretations of this verse that do not connect forgiveness of sin with baptism. It is possible to translate the Greek preposition eis—”because of,” or “on the basis of,” instead of “for.” It is used in that sense in Matthew 3:11; 12:41; and Luke 11:32.
There is not one English translation of the the Bible that translates "for" of Acts 2:38 as "because of" or "on the basis of".
Max Lucado Quote:
3) “What of the ones who die before they have a chance? What if I entrust my soul to Christ and before I can tell anyone or arrange to be baptized, a swarm of killer bees attacks me and I die?”
The answer to this question is found in the character of God. Would a God of love reject an honest heart? No way. Would a God of mercy and kindness condemn any seeking soul? Absolutely not. Having called you and died for you would he cast you away because of a curious sequence of events? Inconceivable. Is it possible for an unbaptized believer to be saved? Yes, definitely. Should every believer be baptized? Yes, definitely.
Jesus Quote:
Mark 16:15-16 ...preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved...(NKJV)
Realizing that 55% of those who claim to be Christian do not believe the Bible is God's word, it is no shock that men reject the clear teaching of Scripture.
Belief and water baptism are essential to salvation regardless of man-made doctrine.
Men are not baptized in water because they are already saved. Water baptism is in order to be saved.
What could more illogical, than to believe the Bible is not the accurate word of God, and then believe without question, preachers, priests, Bible commentaries, church creed books and other extra-Biblical writings?

Dear Brother
Faull,
Regarding the Old and New
Covenants - when did the
New Covenant go into
effect; at the cross or at
Pentecost?
Here is the line of
reasoning.
1. We know that the Old
Covenant was finished at the cross.
2. There had to be a covenant. There could not be a
time period without one.
3. So, the time period between the resurrection and
Pentecost HAD to be covered. Was it covered
with the New or Old Covenant?
ANSWER
A covenant goes into effect at the death of the testator.
Hebrews 9:16-17
Let’s suppose I died. My will would be in effect, but those
who were going to be my heirs do not know the terms of
my will.
At the reading of the will they will hear the terms of the will
and who the heirs are and under what conditions. It will
also tell who is excluded and who will serve as those in
authority to carry out my will. Once appointed by my will
they then will carry it out in the heirs’ favor.
In my personal will I have excluded anyone from inheriting
who would try to call in doubt or file suit against the will.
They are automatically disinherited.
Jesus died.
That was the requirement for the Will to have force. Jesus
then sent out the apostles with the terms of the Will.
On Pentecost they were endowed with power and were
the announcers and the authority who was to see that
Christ’s Will was known and obeyed by those who desired
to be heirs.
I believe that those who believe and are baptized shall be
heirs and whosoever believeth not shall not inherit. They
cannot enter into the Kingdom’s inheritance because they
were not born of the water and the Spirit. John 3:5
Just as those under the preaching of John rejected the
counsel of God by not being baptized of him, those who
will not enter into Christ are outside of Christ and
therefore are not heirs according to the promise.
A personal illustration may help.
My uncle wanted my four sisters and me to inherit his
money. He put us as beneficiaries to an Annuity. It was
mailed on December 18th. He died on December 24th. It
did not reach the insurance company until after he died
and therefore the insurance company would not give us
the inheritance.
The second wife of my cousin, whom my uncle never met,
received a great part of it. In fact, more than his intended
heirs.
This is because if you do not have a will, it goes to your
wife, children, father and mother, brothers and sisters. He
had none of these as they had all died. So the law insists
it go to his sibling’s children equally.
So one third of his money went to one of his sister’s
deceased son’s daughter (that he saw once in his life),
one third went to his sister’s other son (whom he did not
want to get any, and did not because he died a week
before the inheritance was issued, so his new wife got it),
and one third went to his brother’s kids (which was whom
he intended to have all of the money).
You see, if you do not have a will, you have a will by State
law. The above is how the State of Illinois determines who
gets the inheritance.
The point is, for a while I thought I was going to get one
fourth of all he had. As it ended up I only received a fourth
of a third of his money.
The death is essential and the valid will at the time of
death must be determined.
"From the cowardice that shrinks from
new truth, from the laziness that is content
with half truths, from the arrogance that
thinks it knows all truth, O, God of Truth,
deliver us."
B-5422 THE GOSPEL UNASHAMED January 2009
If I would have gone out and bought a new car, thinking
that I was going to get the larger amount, I would have
been in trouble because I was not heir of a fourth of the
whole but only a fourth of a third of the inheritance.
The Jews thought they would inherit just because they
were the physical descendants of Abraham.
Those living between the death of Christ and Pentecost
were obviously in a transition period.
Many on Pentecost thought they were saved and were
not and were told they had to repent and be baptized in
order to received the remission of sins and the gift of the
Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:38, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost.”
Suppose an assumed heir finds at the reading of the Will
that he is not really an heir to the house he is living in, the
car he is driving, or that the money he is spending cannot
or will not meet the terms of the Will.
He may have assumed he would inherit them but finds he
must move from the house, give up the keys to the car,
and spend no more money.
So likewise, once the terms of the Will of Christ were
made known, those not complying with the Terms of the
Will forfeited any rights to the inheritance. It is those “In
Christ” who are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to
the promise.
Galatians 3:27-29, “27 For as many of you as have
been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There
is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in
Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
I hope this helps.

What Does the Resurrection Mean to Me, Personally? BY GEORGE  L. FAULL A city slicker moved to the country. He met a country girl and he wanted to win her heart. He gave her a ring out of a Cracker Jack box that was studded with colored glass. They looked like red Rubies, blue Emeralds, and green Sapphire stones. He told her the big center diamond was real. Of course she did not believe it. She rejected the diamond with these words, "Why would anyone set a real diamond among fake jewels?" Good question! Why do Christians, who are trying to win the heart of the world, set the diamond of the resurrection amidst a fake setting of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter hams, Easter lilies, and hot cross buns, then put it on a movable date determined by the moon, and then call the celebration after a pagan goddess of fertility and fornication? No wonder some find it hard to believe!!! You know the True story. Jesus was crucified. The disciples were sad, but He arose. The women were told by the angels, "Why seek the living among the dead? He is not here. He has risen as He said." The disciples did not believe. He appeared unto Mary. She was told, “Why weep ye? Go tell My disciples.” But the disciples did not believe. Peter saw Him. Some did not believe. He appeared unto the ten and commissioned them to wait in Jerusalem. Luke 24 Thomas was absent and he would not believe. Later, Jesus appeared to all the apostles, and Thomas believed. John 20:22 ff Jesus appeared unto them again and rebuked them for their unbelief of not believing the women. He commissioned them again. Mark 16 He then appeared again in Galilee. Still some doubted. He commissioned them again. Matthew 28 Today, unbelief is still common. The women saw an empty tomb and were spoken to by angels; but could not prove it. Mary saw Him; but could not prove it. Peter saw Him; but could not prove it. The Apostles saw Him; but could not prove it. The men on the road to Emmaus saw Him; but could not prove it. 500 brethren saw Him at once; but could not prove it. Did it happen? I do not like the song, “You ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart.” That’s subjective. It boils down to these objective truths: The empty tomb. The grave clothes were empty. The testimony of witnesses who gave their lives as martyrs. The Church is here. The Word is a testimony. The conversion of Saul of Tarsus. Spring only hints of it. (There is hope of a tree that when it dies, it shall live again. A seed must fall and die or it cannot bring forth fruit.) Job 14:7, John 12:24 Did it happen? Does it make any difference? Why must we have a resurrection? Can't we just have His good moral teaching and His great example? Why is all this dead, buried, and risen stuff necessary anyway? "From the cowardice that shrinks from new truth, from the laziness that is content with half truths, from the arrogance that thinks it knows all truth, O, God of Truth, deliver us." B-5452 THE GOSPEL UNASHAMED April 2009 Who needs an exemplary liar? Who needs a moral code from a deceiver? Who needs a teacher whose basic doctrine brings strife and arguments? Not me. But what if He did arise? That changes things. I believe He did arise. So what does the resurrection mean to me personally? It assures me that my convictions are true, for He is risen as He said, and all He said will come to pass. It is pure silliness to believe in a God and not believe He could rise from the dead. It means I am forgiven of my sins and my conscience is right in being pure. “If He is not risen, I am yet in my sins.” His resurrection proves the acceptance of His payment. “It is finished” means “paid in full”...and I have peace with God. It confirms my confidence of my own resurrection from the dead. I Corinthians 15:23, “But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.” Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” It gives me the hope of seeing my Christian family and friends again. I Corinthians 15:18 “Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.” (If Christ is not raised.) It confirms my life has meaning and purpose. I Corinthians 15:29-32, “29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? 30 And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? 31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.” It assures me that I am enabled with the power to live a victorious life. Ephesians 1:19-20, “19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” It assures me I can give what I want because my treasure is in Heaven. Remember the Rich Young Ruler? Mark 10:21, “Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.” It guarantees me my hospitality will be rewarded at the resurrection of the just. Luke 14:13-14, “13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” It guarantees me an incorruptible inheritance. I Peter 1:3-4, “3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,” It is an assurance that my life creed is valid. Life is stronger than death, Good is stronger than evil, Truth is greater than error, Love is stronger than hatred and God is mightier than Satan..... and that is good news. It comforts me to know that what I did not have in material things, nor what I may gain in a physical world, does not matter in eternity since I will wake in a spiritual world, and my physical body will be changed to a spiritual body. That makes things in life a lot less important to me now because I can live as a pilgrim or sojourner heading home. Who fights over a snowflake? This world’s goods are “fool’s gold”. It convinces me that all He said is true. The resurrection of the just and the unjust. Some will rise to everlasting life, and some to damnation. The ungodly will be dealt with, but the meek will win and the pure in heart shall see God. It means I've been commissioned to make disciples of all that I meet. My task is before me. In each appearance He commissioned each who saw Him. Mary was to go tell. The women were to go tell. Peter was told to feed His sheep, His lambs. Disciples were to start in Jerusalem and go make disciples, teach, baptize, and teach to observe all things. Even Paul was a chosen vessel to men. I, too, must tell it.April 2009 THE GOSPEL UNASHAMED 3 Conclusion Whether Jesus arose makes all the difference to me. I have a reason to believe He will come again, just as He said. If you do not believe He lives, you have no: ♦ Hope ♦ Confidence ♦ Savior ♦ Mediator ♦ Peace with God ♦ Lasting joy ♦ Power to be an overcomer ♦ Meaning in life And you live and will die in doubt. You can never say with Job, "I know that my redeemer liveth and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, and though after my skin, worms destroy my flesh, yet in my flesh shall I see God, whom I shall see for myself and not another." Forget the bunnies, eggs, lilies, hot cross buns, and the lies that Satan has added to the story. Just stick with the facts and believe the Gospel. I Corinthians 15:1-4, “1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

Fandom Snowflake Challenge--Day 3
Day 3 In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create. For this, I thought I would rec all the stories that I have bookmarked that I thought need more love. All of them are complete (no WIPs, though I do wish some would continue). I made notes on some when I bookmarked them, so where those occur, they're included.
Also, this is LONG. You have been warned.
14th CENTURY CE RPF Hallowmas, Or Shortest Of Day by skazka Isabella, future girl-queen of England, receives a visit from a predecessor. Commentary: Melancholy and sweet, with wee Isabella as an adorable seven-year-old who's very much at sea and Anne of Bohemia as the gentlest and kindest of ghosts. It's A Terrible Reign by angevin2 A dying John of Gaunt, with the aid of his long-dead brother, walks the road not taken. Commentary: Wickedly deflates the "It's a Wonderful Life" premise simply by having John of Gaunt be himself--confident, convinced that what he wants is surely for the best, and blunt enough to point out that most of the awful stuff that could have happened DID happen anyway. Also, Gaunt and the Black Prince are both believable and hysterical as brothers. Jesu dulcis memoria by angevin2 Master Ladislaus's only regret is that his greatest masterpiece--the Wilton Diptych--is one born of grief. Commentary: Brief, sorrowful and stunningly beautiful. I had a lump in my throat when I finished reading it. Remembrance of a Weeping Queen by angevin2 Anne of Bohemia contemplates her purpose in life. Commentary: It’s not easy dealing with public crises while coping with private grief. If you like royal ladies who make a difference in their world and who smile sweetly and gently despite heartbreak, this is for you. *** A STUDY IN EMERALD - NEIL GAIMAN: R'Iyeh Is Not An Empty House by Trobadora It all began because of the woman. *** ARTHURIAN MYTHOLOGY Wheels Within Wheels by Philipa_Moss “Have you heard?” Linet asked. “She’s back.” *** AUSTIN & MURRY-O'KEEFE FAMILIES - MADELEINE L'ENGLE Galois Theory by primeideal Five times everything fell into place. That Unexpected Fateful Hour, Once Again at Hand by ElegantPi Charles Wallace is assigned two new classmates and a task, just before his winter holiday. Wordless by CG (NYCScribbler) Three times Calvin O'Keefe hasn't known what to say. *** BENJAMIN JANUARY MYSTERIES - BARBARA HAMBLY Escargots by Nary Rose was not one to offer platitudes for a man she hadn't known, to a man who hadn't cared about him. "What killed him?" she asked instead, for she couldn't think of any reason why Shaw would be telling her about this if it had been a natural death. "Poison's our best guess." He paused, as if considering how to most gently say what was coming next. "He took his final meal at the Hotel Iberville last night. So as you might imagine, I got a pressin' need to speak with your nephew, Gabriel Corbier." Commentary: This story belongs to the women, and deservedly so. Rose January/Janvier is brilliant and shrewd and a fantastic scientific detective in 1830s New Orleans, while her sister-in-law Olympe Corbier solves half the mystery by deducing what posion was used. It's sharp, smoothly written and as thoroughly researched as any of the books. Honestly, you could drop this into Barbara Hambly's Good Man Friday (the book in which Benjamin January goes off to Washington DC, a trip which Rose mentions in passing) and it would fit in seamlessly. I'm honestly not sure that the person who wrote this for me isn't Barbara Hambly. If you love historical mysteries, stories featuring characters of color, or both, then read this story. Five moments in the life of Augustus Mayerling by sevenofspade Becoming Augustus Mayerling is a process. Commentary: The details of how Augustus Mayerling became Augustus Mayerling. Detailed, sharp and utterly right. Headcanon accepted. Magnificat in New Orleans by Taabe On the eve of Benjamin and Rose Vitrac January's first Christmas in their new home, at the end of a Reveillón, Ben and Hannibal have a run-in with a less peaceful holiday tradition, and they and Rose take a in young stranger in more need of help than even they realize. Commentary: Dazzlingly beautiful, brilliantly researched, and powerful enough to make your heart ache. A magnificent Magnificat. *** BISCLAVRET - MARIE DE FRANCE J'ai Vu le Loup by Gileonnen The hunt collapses the distance between man and beast. Commentary: A canonical medieval gay werewolf. I love it. *** CADFAEL CHRONICLES - ELLIS PETERS A Flourish of Gold by thelittlestbird When a murder disrupts the peace conference that might end the Anarchy, Brother Cadfael must solve one last mystery. Fortunately, he has some very competent people to help him. *** CANTERBURY TALES - GEOFFREY CHAUCER Mordre, She Wroot by sistermagpie At least one pilgrim will not make it to Canterbury. *** CHRONICLES OF NARNIA - C.S.LEWIS Clipsie the Mariner by Transposable_Element The episode of the Dufflepuds and the Magician's book, from the point of view of the Chief's daughter, Clipsie. Dark and Deep by the_rck Tumnus delivers Lucy to the White Witch, and Aslan never comes. All four children end up in Jadis's hands, and she decides to see what she can mold them into. *** CROSSOVERS Chronicles of Narnia/Harry Potter And Bide the Danger by MiraMira Susan Pevensie: former Unspeakable, legendary beauty, possible Dark witch. A young Amelia Bones, eager to make her mark on MLE, has just been assigned to track her down. But the further Amelia proceeds with her investigation, the more questions she uncovers - especially once she meets Susan herself. Dark Tower/The Stand On the Plains of the Crimson King by magistera Eight years after Randall Flagg was defeated, life goes on in the much-reduced circumstances of post-Trips America. But when Fran and Stu's son begins to have disturbing (and all-too-familiar) dreams, it's a sign of change to come. Commentary: This ties together the stories of The Stand and The Dark Tower, blending the worlds and explaining why Flagg saw Fran Goldsmith's baby as so much of a threat. The tone and the characterization are spot-on, and there's one action scene early on that chilled me. And despite all the supernatural occurrences, which are handled beautifully, this world is solidly grounded. It feels real. Honest to God, if I didn't know better, I'd think that Stephen King fanficced himself. Doctor Who/Mrs. Pollifax - Dorothy Gilman Mrs. Pollifax and the Christmas Party by Emiline “Since you mention it, there was something else,” she admitted. “I’d like you both to come to my Christmas party this year.” With gate-crashing by the unstoppable Jack Harkness. Doctor Who/Wicked Voice - Vernon Lee The Sapphire of Rassilon by zopyrus All Grace Holloway wanted was an ordinary night at the San Francisco Opera. But when the Doctor shows up unexpectedly (again), Grace finds herself travelling back to 18th-century Venice—with a stop along the way to pick up the forgotten Victorian author, Vernon Lee. Murdered composers, lesbian drama, opera singers, and more! Commentary: A gorgeous crossover with the Eighth Doctor and a canon called A Wicked Voice, set mostly in Venice of the 1700s and 1800s. It's a gorgeous story--vivid and colorful, and capable of making you see the Venice of both time periods. This is a story to get lost it. Read it. You'll be glad that you did. Dresden Files - Jim Butcher/Tale of the Five Series - Diane Duane Fire Working by melannen Herewiss goes through a Door that is probably not the Door into Starlight, and meets a man who uses the Fire. Romeo And Juliet - Shakespeare/Midsummer Night's Dream - Shakespeare/Peter Pan - J. M. Barrie Perhaps. Perhaps. Perhaps. by fresne Perhaps, the story went this way. Perhaps, it went that way. Perhaps. *** DRESDEN FILES - JIM BUTCHER Johnny's Little Secret by shiplizard A mafia errand boy worries about his junior partner. Slash implied, friendship explicit. Rated Teen for language. *** EAGLES ARE TURNING PEOPLE INTO HORSES: THE MOVIE (2009) Eagles are Turning People Into Horses: The Movie: II: The Horses That Used To Be People But Were Turned Into Horses By Eagles Strike Back: The Revengening by KiaraSayre "This is real life, Brian. There's no ignoring the fact that eagles are turning people into horses. We just have to learn to live with it." Commentary: Glorious crackfic. Every line made me smile, grin or laugh. Quintessentially Yuletide. *** ELIZABETHAN AND JACOBEAN THEATRE & LITERATURE RPF Sad Stories of the Death of Kings by angevin It's 1593, and Kit Marlowe is trying out a new genre. Commentary: If you're intimidated by the canon's title, don't be. Kit Marlowe and Will Shakespeare are playwrights and rivals, each criticizing each other's work while writing plays that are strongly influenced by the same. Marlowe is gloriously OTT, as he was in real life, and Shakespeare is the ultimate fanboy who can't quite tell if his idol is flirting or not. This made me smile. A lot. *** EVERY HEART A DOORWAY - SEANAN McGUIRE The Mirror Cracked From Side to Side by Amazing_E_Ko Nancy has left her old life behind, but when Jack comes tumbling through a portal bearing news of an apocalypse, her sister speaking prophecy from beyond death, Nancy is pulled back into the world of living, breathing things. With the help of Kade and Christopher they must unravel the mystery of the disappearing worlds, and uncover the truth behind all their journeys. Post-canon. Commentary: Absolute magic. I am not entirely certain that the writer isn't really Seanan McGuire. And I am so very grateful that I found this story. *** FAIRY TALES AND FOLKLORE Der Rattenfänger von Hameln | The Pied Piper of Hamelin (Fairy Tale) If I Miss You Call the Tune by lalalalalawhy It is 100 light years since our children left. Commentary: A fairy tale retelling in space. Heartwrenching and so, so good. Sneedronningen | The Snow Queen - Hans Christian Andersen The Enchanted Hawk by Alona In which the robber girl encounters a dysfunctional royal family and makes the most of it. Commentary: The robber girl--no longer so little--is beautifully sly, cunning and practical, defying conventions both in her world and in ours. She doesn't assume that enchanted animals are necessarily truthful, she takes the time to scout out a situation, and she knows what she wants and goes after it cheerfully and unashamedly. I'd love to read more about her and her adventures. *** FALLEN LONDON (FORMERLY ECHO BAZAAR) Fortune, Fate, Freedom by escritoireazul Are we the sum of our choices, or are we our fate? Commentary: A Choose Your Own Adventure tale about the Cheesemonger, the finest of all spies. Hard To Find by Kastaka As if the Comtessa would let a little thing like social ostracism stand in her way. Commentary: When this was first published, it was the first Echo Bazaar fic I'd ever seen, and it continues the story of the subject character--the Missing Comtessa--smashingly, not to mention capturing the atmosphere of the twisted world of Fallen London so well. If you know the game of Echo Bazaar, you'll love it. If you don't know the game, you'll STILL love it, plus the story may inspire interest in the game. Either way, you win! or leave it by anstaar A tough shares their story. *** FIREFLY Can’t Take The Sky by Glinda Serenity does not understand grief; Serenity understands grief all too well. Inundation by lilacsigil When knowledge is power, it's important to keep knowledge controlled. Shepherd Book is here to help. *** GREEK AND ROMAN MYTHOLOGY Medusa's Tale by Area51Fugitive Ah. You've come. I knew you would. Commentary: The very best retelling of the Medusa myth I've ever read, and the only one that ever made me cry. *** HARRY POTTER - J.K. ROWLING Poseidon's Prisoner by esteoflorien Young Cassiopeia Black sets off in search of her brother - and receives assistance from an unlikely person, making her reconsider the way she previously viewed her world. *** HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES Mnemosyne by Medie Wounds of the flesh heal easily for Immortals, the ones of the soul, less so. Commentary: A sympathetic and angry Cassandra, after the Horsemen Arc. *** HIS DARK MATERIALS - PHILIP PULLMAN Valleys of the Shadows by finch (afinch) This is not a happy story. This is the story of three girls who find themselves in the middle of a new African war. There are witches' revolts, daring escapes, the killing of the bears, echoes of freedom, the lack of mercy of the pirates, chains stronger than any steel, and three deaths, one by one by one. This is not a happy story, there are no happy endings, no miracles, no subtle knife, and no angels. This is the story of three girls, a slave, an unwilling pawn, and a refugee. This is story of three girls and three dæmons. *** INVISIBLE LIBRARY: FANWORKS BASED ON IMAGINARY WORKS MENTIONED IN FICTION Miserable Les, Les Misérables - All Media Types, Discworld - Terry Pratchett Truth! Justice! Freedom! Reasonably-priced love! And a black coffee! by greenet Wherein everybody is protesting, drinking a whole lot of coffee, and falling in and out of love. Nina Lightfingers learns to appreciate the elegance of a lady’s fan wielded with murderous intent, Petiterre is over-caffeinated, Evgeni is banned from reading self-help books, and Brusher is over-protective. Among other things. Commentary: If Terry Pratchett had written an in-universe musical about the events of Night Watch, it would have been this story. That is to say, it would have been perfect. P.S. Miserable Les is mentioned as a possible opera in Maskerade. *** JOHN LEWIS CHRISTMAS ADVERTS Please, please, please... by AdaptationDecay Lewis knows exactly what he wants for Christmas. Commentary: This is a stealth crossover, but I'm not going to mention what it's crossed with. That would spoil the impact of the reveal. *** MARY POPPINS (1964) Pictures in the Pavement and Magic in the Rain by El Staplador (elstaplador) Time moves on, and when the wind changes, things happen. Usually Mary Poppins is there, somewhere. *** NCIS No Such Thing by circ_bamboo There's no such thing as zombies. (Or: People should have realized that, sooner or later, pouring the liquefied remnants of corpses in the municipal water supply was going to lead to zombies.) Commentary: Absolutely the best and the funniest zombie story I've ever read! The NCIS team is spot-on as a bad situation snowballs gloriously. Also, I will never think of cedar shavings, sodium intake or tiki torches the same way again! P.S. Here are more sources about resomation: http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-14114555 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alkaline_hydrolysis_(body_disposal) https://funeralbooker.com/blog/everything-need-know-resomation/ *** ONCE UPON A TIME (TV) Staying Found by misscam “I will always find you,” they say. And they did. Now they just have to get used to having been found again, together again, a relationship again, all the little things again. [Snow/Charming + minor Emma, Henry, Belle] *** PETER PAN - J.M. BARRIE The Art of Becoming by LostWendy1 “Every child is affected thus the first time he is treated unfairly. All he thinks he has a right to when he comes to you to be yours is fairness. After you have been unfair to him he will love you again, but will never afterwards be the same boy. No one ever gets over the first unfairness; no one except Peter. He often met it, but he always forgot it. I suppose that was the real difference between him and all the rest.” (Peter Pan, Barrie) Commentary: The story of Mr. Darling--and the origins of Captain Hook. *** PRINCELESS There's No Such Thing As Elegators by psocoptera Sparky, Adrienne, and Bedelia have an encounter in the grasslands. Commentary: You don't often hear stories from the dragon's point of view. *** REBECCA - DAPHNE DU MAURIER A Thousand Words, Or Simply Three by Skogkatt Danny, faced with a new mistress of vastly inferior rank, ruminates on the past. *** RUBYQUEST Rubyquest II: The Island by AdaptationDecay In your inventory, you have two walkie-talkies and an empty champagne bottle. Time to save the world... *** SHAKESPEARE King Lear - Shakespeare 'Tis Strange by lorata Lear Enterprises' CEO prepares to divide his company's controlling shares between his daughters and their subsidiaries. Edmund, non-powered and disaffected son in a superhero family, plots to turn villain. Regan and Goneril abandon their father to the zombies after he endangers their safehouses one too many times. Gloucester scours open space for the former commander of the star system, set adrift in a malfunctioning lifepod. Cordelia and her dragon prepare to take on her sisters with the help of the French aerial dragon corps. Some stories aren't just universal, they're multiversal. The tale of King Lear, from eleven different worlds. When She Was Bad by lorata LEAR: Then let them anatomize Regan. See what breeds about her heart. Is there any cause in nature that makes these hard hearts? Act 3, Scene 6 SERVANT: If she live long, And in the end meet the old course of death, Women will all turn monsters. Act 3, Scene 7 Even the sweetest pup will bite if handled roughly, and Regan is no innocent. The making of a girl who embraced her demons and turned them to her purpose. Richard II - Shakespeare A Signet On Thine Arm by skazka Kisse he me with the cos of his mouth. For thi tetis ben betere than wyn, and yyuen odour with beste oynementis. Richard and Anne make out in the bath. Privilege by angevin2 Richard kissed a girl and he liked it. And then things got really complicated. Six Variations on Loyalty by angevin2 The King's party (for it is, in fact, still the King's party) has not even left Flint Castle for London before Henry of Hereford, now styling himself Henry of Lancaster, begins trying to seduce Edward of Aumerle. Thy Rebuke Hath Broken His Heart by Aris Merquoni (ArisTGD) Soulbonds between men and women are the most romantic form of marriage in the known world. Soulbonds between men and men make bards and poets salivate with the prospect of terrible, epic tragedy. Richard and Henry think that bards and poets are assholes. Romeo and Juliet - Shakespeare Starling by loathlylady Rosaline in the hot sun. *** STORIES BASED ON ARTWORKS La fiancée hésitante | The Hesitant Betrothed - Auguste Toulmouche Les Femmes Acharnées by Violsva Blanche has a plan, Céleste has a plan - really, everyone has a plan. Commentary: An excellent story of marriage, murder and female friendship. *** SWAN LAKE (BALLET) Juno's Swans by La Reine Noire (lareinenoire) And wheresoever we went, like Juno's swans, / Still we went coupled and inseparable. *** THE GOBLIN EMPEROR - KATHERINE ADDISON Passage by bigsunglasses Released from his role as Prince by the birth of a son to the Emperor and Empress, Idra is allowed to attend university. But he can't escape his past so easily, or perhaps at all, particularly not when he meets someone who walks under a similar shadow ... Three years post-canon. *** THE SANDMAN The First Conversation with Death by evilhippo What happens when someone is no longer an aspect of the Endless? (An imagined epilogue to The Wake.) *** THOMAS OF WOODSTOCK (PLAY) like brambles to the cedars by angevin2 Queen Anne isn't used to English customs. It doesn't help that her husband and his uncles can't agree on what they are. Commentary: This is the story of a gentle young woman adjusting to life far from home and adjusting to political currents she doesn’t quite understand. If you like sweet and feminine Sansa Stark singing songs or sewing expertly, you’ll love this. *** THURSDAY'S CHILDREN - RUMER GODDEN A Bitter God to Follow by Bakcheia In which everybody is in love with ballet dancer Yuri Koszorz, including Yuri. Commentary: A story of seductive charm and self-absorption. Yuri is a likable young man, even as he heedlessly captivates everyone around him, not caring whether anyone gets hurt. *** WATERSHIP DOWN - RICHARD ADAMS The Story of Hrayatha and the Rabbit Who Left No Tracks by Luzula Pipkin listens to a story. Post-canon. *** WENDY TRILOGY - S.J. TUCKER (SONG CYCLE) Always keep your head by LeaperSonata So Wendy'd got herself a crew of ruthless men and brave and they'd terrorize the Lost Boys each and every Saturday. One day Wendy says to Peter, "I'd like more girls on my crew." So Peter goes a-hunting Lost Girls and brings back Green-eyed Sue. Commentary: You don't have to know S.J. Tucker's songs--specifically, the Wendy Trilogy--to understand this story about the time when Wendy Darling became a pirate called Red-Handed Jill. This story is about Green-Eyed Sue, Jill's first mate, but more than that, it's about finding the place where you belong. Most of all, it's about identity and love and being honest with yourself. Highly recommended. Journey's End by eris_kyrall (kereia) The decision to go back home had not come easily to Wendy Darling, and the hardest part of it was saying goodbye. Commentary: This story deals with Wendy's departure from Neverland, but it treats her decision to leave as right and natural, as if Wendy were a potted plant that had outgrown its container. At the same time, it shows that those who didn't follow Wendy home were also right. Also, I love the female friendship in this story. Bittersweet.

• A flame may love a snowflake, but they can never be together without each harming the other. – Chris Colfer • A love of neighbor manifests itself in the tolerance not only of opinions of others but, what is more important, of the essence and uniqueness of others, when we subscribe to that religious philosophy of life that insists that God has made each man and woman an individual sacred personality endowed with a specific temperament, created with differing needs, hungers, dreams. This is a variegated, pluralistic world where no two stars are the same and every snowflake has its own distinctive pattern. God apparently did not want a regimented world of sameness. – Joshua L. Liebman • A snowflake is probably quite unconscious of forming a crystal, but what it does may be worth study even if we are willing to leave its inner mental processes alone. – Northrop Frye • All the arts are based on the presence of man, only photography derives an advantage from his absence. Photography affects us like a phenomenon in nature, like a flower or a snowflake whose vegetable or earthly origins are an inseparable part of their beauty. – Andre Bazin • As a child I often wondered whether I would be allowed to live such moments- to inhabit the slow, majestic ballet of the snowflakes, to be released at last from the dreary frenzy of time. Is that what it feels to be naked? All one’s clothes are gone, yet one’s mind is overladen with finery.- Muriel Barbery • As white snowflakes fall quietly and thickly on a winter day, answers to prayer will settle down upon you at every step you take, even to your dying day. The story of your life will be the story of prayer and answers to prayer. – Ole Hallesby • At last there dawned the most beautiful day of all the days of my life. How perfectly I remember even the smallest details of those sacred hours! The joyful awakening, the reverent and tender embraces of my mistresses and older companions, the room filled with white frocks, like so many snowflakes, where each child was dressed in turn. – Therese of Lisieux

P. Kinsella • Because, ten-year-olds of the world, you shouldn’t believe what your teachers tell you about the beauty and specialness and uniqueness of you. Or, believe it, little snowflake, but know it won’t make a bit of difference until after puberty. It’s Newton’s lost law: anything that makes you unique later will get your chocolate milk stolen and your eye blackened as a kid. Won’t it, Sebastian? Oh, yes, it will, my little Mandarin Chinese-learning, Poe-reciting, high-top-wearing friend. God bless you, wherever you are. – Sloane Crosley • Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand – and melting like a snowflake. – Francis Bacon • But then, Cap’n Crunch in a flake form would be suicidal madness; it would last about as long, when immersed in milk, as snowflakes sifting down into a deep fryer. No, the cereal engineers at General Mills had to find a shape that would minimize surface area, and, as some sort of compromise between the sphere that is dictated by Euclidean geometry and whatever sunken treasure related shapes that the cereal aestheticians were probably clamoring for, they came up with this hard-to-pin-down striated pillow formation. – Neal Stephenson • But when a snowflake, brave and meek,Lights on a rosy maiden’s cheek,It starts-“How warm and soft the day!””‘T is summer!” and it melts away. – Mary Mapes Dodge
[clickbank-storefront-bestselling] • Calvin: Today for show and tell, I’ve brought a tiny miracle of nature: a single snowflake! I think we might all learn a lesson from how this utterly unique and exquisite crystal turns into an ordinary, boring molecule of water just like every other one when you bring it into the classroom. And now, while the analogy sinks in, I will be leaving you drips and going outside. – Bill Watterson • Christians, like snowflakes, are frail, but when they stick together they can stop traffic. – Vance Havner • Didn’t I realize that each of us is a sacred, unique snowflake of special unique specialness? – Chuck Palahniuk • Drifting snowflakes brushed her face as light as lover’s kisses, and melted on her cheeks. At the center of the garden, beside the statue of the weeping woman that lay broken and half-buried on the ground, she turned her face up to the sky and closed her eyes. She could feel the snow on her lashes, taste it on her lips. It was the taste of Winterfell. The taste of innocence. The taste of dreams. – George R. R. Martin • Each person’s grief journey is unique as a fingerprint or a snowflake. – Earl A Grollman • Each snowflake in an avalanche pleads not guilty. – Stanislaw Jerzy Lec • Every moment of life mattered. Completely! Because we… are all like snowflakes. – Lewis Black • Everytime you grab at love you will lose a snowflake of your memory – Leonard Cohen • Footballers today are forced to conform to a bodily aesthetic that in its rigidity and uniformity makes fashion models look as varied as snowflakes. This wasn’t always so. Up until the 1980s most teams in all divisions had a couple of fat ones, a couple of little ones, at least one bandy one, one completely covered in hair, two weaklings and a chap with no neck. This was an era when you didn’t need names on the backs of shirts in order to tell who’s who, you could clearly identify them with your eyes half shut from the other side of the pitch. – Danny Baker • Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes – every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man. – Orison Swett Marden • From the shadow of domes in the city of domes, A snowflake, a blizzard of one, weightless, entered your room And made its way to the arm of the chair where you, looking up From your book, saw it the moment it landed. That’s all There was to it. – Mark Strand • God created each one of us in our own unique way. Just like a snowflake we all hold a blueprint that differs one from another. It’s great to lose weight and keep our bodies healthy and strong, but it’s also important that we appreciate who we are today – with or without extra pounds. – Candace Cameron • Harvey wasn’t interested in the clothes, it was the masks that mesmerized him. They were like snowflakes: no two alike. Some were made of wood and of plastic; some of straw and cloth and papier-mâché. Some were as bright as parrots, others as pale as parchment. Some were so grotesque he was certain they’d been carved by crazy people; others so perfect they looked like the death masks of angels. There were masks of clowns and foxes, masks like skulls decorated with real teeth, and one with carved flames instead of hair. – Clive Barker • He tasted like snowflakes and wine, like winter and Will and London. – Cassandra Clare • Her touch was as soft as a snowflake falling onto my skin. – Jennifer Estep • How do we know for sure that no two snowflakes are the same – we haven’t got anybody watching. – Dennis Miller • How full of the creative genius is the air in which these [snowflakes] are generated! I should hardly admire them more if real stars fell and lodged on my coat. Nature is full of genius. Full of the divinity. So that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand. – Henry David Thoreau • I am not yours, nor lost in you, not lost, although I long to be. Lost as a candle lit at noon, lost as a snowflake in the sea. You love me, and I find you still a spirit beautiful and bright, yet I am I, who long to be lost as a light is lost in light. – Sara Teasdale • I do not wonder at a snowflake, a shell, a summer landscape, or the glory of the stars; but at the necessity of beauty under which the universe lies. – Ralph Waldo Emerson • I fail to understand why gethes (Humans), talk about individuals versus society. They are the same thing. The action of every individual counts, and those individual acts of personal responsibility accumulate to create society. Snowflakes are equally blind to their role in causing avalanches. – Karen Traviss • I feel all agitated, like one of those snow globes you see resting peacefully on shop counters. I was perfectly happy being an ordinary, dull little Swiss village. Tiny bits of shiny, secret excitement. – Sophie Kinsella • I love you because no two snowflakes are alike, and it is possible, if you stand tippy-toe, to walk between the raindrops. – Nikki Giovanni • I think a lot of snowflakes are alike…and I think a lot of people are alike too. – Bret Easton Ellis • I think people are as individual as snowflakes, they kinda look alike but no two are the exactly the same, and all classification is the root of prejudice. – Craig Ferguson • I walked until midnight in the storm, then I went home and took a sauna for an hour and a half. We all like different things. Why should we all have the same taste in wines? – Gary Vaynerchuk • I want to travel on a train that smells like snowflakes. I want to sip in cafes that smell like comets. Under the pressure of my step, I want the streets to emit the precise odor of a diamond necklace. I want the newspapers I read to smell like the violins left in pawnshops by weeping hobos on Christmas Eve. I want to carry luggage that reeks of the neurons in Einstein’s brain. I want a city’s gases to smell like the golden belly hairs of the gods. And when I gaze at a televised picture of the moon, I want to detect, from a distance of 239,000 miles, the aroma of fresh mozzarella. – Tom Robbins • I was watching souls going down into the abyss as thick and fast as snowflakes falling in the winter mist. – Benedict Joseph Labre • I wish i could press snowflakes in a book like flowers. – James Schuyler • I’m like the weather, never really can predict when this rain cloud’s gonna burst; when it’s the high or it’s the low, when you might need a light jacket. Sometimes I’m the slush that sticks to the bottom of your work pants, but I can easily be the melting snowflakes clinging to your long lashes. I know that some people like: sunny and seventy-five, sunny and seventy-five, sunny and seventy-five, but you take me as I am and never forget to pack an umbrella. – Naomi Shihab Nye • In case I get hit by a bus tomorrow, I want to make something clear – I am not a snowflake. Didn’t I realize that each of us is a sacred, unique snowflake of special unique specialness? Can’t I see how we’re all manifestations of love? I look at God behind his desk, taking notes on a pad, but God’s got this all wrong. We are not special. We are not crap or trash, either. We just are. We just are, and what happens just happens. And God says, ‘No, that’s not right.’ Yeah. Well. Whatever. You can’t teach God anything. – Chuck Palahniuk • Knowledge and power doesn’t come from an entity, it comes from within yourself. What can these things tell you, to put five bucks on Snowflake in the third race? – Frederick Lenz • Life is like invading Russia. A blitz start, massed shakos, plumes dancing like a flustered henhouse; a period of svelte progress recorded in ebullient despatches as the enemy falls back; then the beginning of a long, morale-sapping trudge with rations getting shorter and the first snowflakes upon your face. The enemy burns Moscow and you yield to General January, whose fingernails are very icicles. Bitter retreat. Harrying Cossacks. Eventually you fall beneath a boy-gunner’s grapeshot while crossing some Polish river not even marked on your general’s map. – Julian Barnes • Light That’s how I feel- like the winter-fringed breeze might scoop me up into its wings, fly away with me trapped in its feathered embrace. I am a snowflake. A wisp of eiderdown, liberated from gravity. My body is light. Ephemeral. My head is light. I want to sway beneath the weight of air, dizzy with thought. Light filters through my closed eyelids. The sun, chasing shadows, tells me I’m not afloat in dreams. – Ellen Hopkins • Like snowflakes,’ Franny said,’none of them the same and yet each one, from where we stand, exactly like the one before – Alice Sebold • Like snowflakes, the human pattern is never cast twice. – Alice Childress • Like snowflakes, the human pattern is never cast twice. We are uncommonly and marvelously intricate in thought and action, our problems are most complex and, too often, silently borne. – Alice Childress • Lives are snowflakes – unique in detail, forming patterns we have seen before, but as like one another as peas in a pod (and have you ever looked at peas in a pod? I mean, really looked at them? There’s not a chance you’d mistake one for another, after a minute’s close inspection.) – Neil Gaiman • Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn’t know this either, but love don’t make things nice – it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren’t here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bullshit*. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and *get* in my bed! – John Patrick Shanley • Man lowers his head and lunges into civilization, forgetting the days of his infancy when he sought truth in a snowflake or a stick. Man forgets the wisdom of the child. – Jack Kerouac • Mariam lay on the couch, hands tucked between her knees, watched the whirlpool of snow twisting and spinning outside the window. She remembered Nana saying once that each snowflake was a sigh heaved by an aggrieved woman somewhere in the world. That all the sighs drifted up the sky, gathered into clouds, then broke into tiny pieces that fell silently on the people below. As a reminder of how people like us suffer, she’d said. How quietly we endure all that falls upon us. – Khaled Hosseini • My life is a crystal teardrop. There are snowflakes falling in the teardrop and little figures trudging in slow motion. – Joan Baez • My small torrent of words dissipated into an elaborate sense of expanding and receding. It was my entrance into the radiance of imagination. This process was especially magnified within the fevers of influenza, measles, chickenpox, and mumps. I got them all and with each I was privileged with a new level of awareness. Lying deep within myself, the symmetry of a snowflake spinning above me, intensifying through my lids, I seized a most worthy souvenir, a shard of heaven’s kaleidoscope. – Patti Smith • Nature is full of genius, full of the divinity; so that not a snowflake escapes its fashioning hand. – Henry David Thoreau • No human being is the same; we are like snowflakes, none of us are the same but we are all COOL – Pharrell Williams • No one has ever laughed at a pun who did not see in the one word a twofold meaning. To materialists this world is opaque like a curtain; nothing can be seen through it. A mountain is just a mountain, a sunset just a sunset; but to poets, artists, and saints, the world is transparent like a window pane – it tells of something beyond….a mountain tells of the Power of God, the sunset of His Beauty, and the snowflake of His Purity. – Fulton J. Sheen • No snowflake ever falls in the wrong place. – Unknown • No two snowflakes are alike. – Wilson Bentley • Now behind the eyes and secrets of the dreamers in the streets rocked to sleep by the sea, see the titbits and topsyturvies, bobs and buttontops, bags and bones, ash and rind and dandruff and nailparings, saliva and snowflakes and moulted feathers of dreams, the wrecks and sprats and shells and fishbones, whale-juice and moonshine and small salt fry dished up by the hidden sea. – Dylan Thomas • Old & New put their stamp to everything in Nature. The snowflake that is now falling is marked by both. The present moment gives the motion & the color of the flake: Antiquity, its form & properties. All things wear a luster which is the gift of the present & a tarnish of time. – Ralph Waldo Emerson • On common water. Its substance reaches everywhere; it touches the past and prepares the future; it moves under the poles and wanders thinly in the heights of air. It can assume forms of exquisite perfection in a snowflake, or strip the living to a single shining bone cast up by the sea. – Loren Eiseley • People (a group that in my opinion has always attracted an undue amount of attention) have often been likened to snowflakes. This analogy is meant to suggest that each is unique – no two alike. This is quite patently not the case. People, even at the current rate of inflation – in fact, people especially at the current rate of inflation – are quite simply a dime a dozen. And, I hasten to add, their only similarity to snowflakes resides in their invariably and lamentable tendency to turn, after a few warm days, to slush. – Fran Lebowitz • Resolutions are flying like snowflakes around here. – Arlen Specter • Sadly, my socks are like snowflakes, no two are exactly alike. – Graham Parker • She closed her eyes and jumped. For a moment she felt herself hang suspended, free of everything. Then gravity took over, and she plunged toward the floor. Instinctively she pulled her arms and legs in, keeping her eyes squeezed shut. The cord pulled taut and she rebounded, flying back up before falling again. As her velocity slowed, she opened her eyes and found herself dangling at the end of the cord, about five feet above Jace. He was grinning. ‘Nice’, he said. ‘As graceful as a falling snowflake. – Cassandra Clare • She was spirit and presence, as rare and brilliant as snowflakes in sunlight, and he could not bring himself to harm her. – Shana Abe • She’s not my type,’ Carter says. ‘So what is your type?’ ‘Tall, skinny, black hair, blue eyes, freckly nose. Blue tinsel wig and snowflakes optional.’ ‘Skinny?’ I squeal. ‘Definitely. Pretending to be shy, sensible and stand-offish when really you’re mad about me.’ ‘You sure about that?’ ‘No, but I’m hoping. – Cathy Cassidy • Should each individual snowflake be held accountable for the avalanche? – Franz Wright • Silently, like thoughts that come and go, the snowflakes fall, each one a gem. – William Hamilton Gibson • Snow always inspires such awe in me. Just consider one tiny snowflake alone, so delicate, so fragile, so ethereal. And yet, let a billion of them come together through the majestic force of nature, they can screw up a whole city. – Betty White • Snowflakes fascinate me… Millions of them falling gently to the ground… And they say that no two of them are alike! Each one completely different from all the others… The last of the rugged individualists! – Charles M. Schulz • Snowflakes swirl down gently in the deep blue haze beyond the window. The outside world is a dream. Inside, the fireplace is brightly lit, and the Yule log crackles with orange and crimson sparks. There’s a steaming mug in your hands, warming your fingers. There’s a friend seated across from you in the cozy chair, warming your heart. There is mystery unfolding. – Vera Nazarian • Snowflakes, leaves, humans, plants, raindrops, stars, molecules, microscopic entities all come in communities. The singular cannot in reality exist. – Paula Gunn Allen • Sometimes I come here just to be a lost mariner but I am never lost: there are the snowflakes frozen to the porthole of a jewelry store, here is the treasure chest open to a single pearl laid on a velvet slab, there is the plashing of faces in the aisles and the row of lockers stuffed with the coats and hats of the drowned and it is night, and the moon rows over the gentle waters of the parking lot. – Nancy Eimers • The axe and saw are insanely busy, chips are flying thick as snowflakes, and every summer thousands of acres of priceless forests, with their underbrush, soil, springs, climate, scenery, and religion, are vanishing away in clouds of smoke, while, except in the national parks, not one forest guard is employed. – John Muir • The cause of the six-sided shape of a snowflake is none other than that of the ordered shapes of plants and of numerical constants; and since in them nothing occurs without supreme reason-not, to be sure, such as discursive reasoning discovers, but such as existed from the first in the Creators’s design and is preserved from that origin to this day in the wonderful nature of animal faculties, I do not believe that even in a snowflake this ordered pattern exists at random. – Johannes Kepler • The imagination doesn’t crop annually like a reliable fruit tree. The writer has to gather whatever’s there: sometimes too much, sometimes too little, sometimes nothing at all. And in the years of glut there is always a slatted wooden tray in some cool, dark attic, which the writer nervously visits from time to time; and yes, oh dear, while he’s been hard at work downstairs, up in the attic there are puckering skins, warning spots, a sudden brown collapse and the sprouting of snowflakes. What can he do about it? – Julian Barnes • The last laugh, the last cup of coffee, the last sunset, the last time you jump through a sprinkler, or eat an ice-cream cone, or stick your tongue out to catch a snowflake. You just don’t know. – Lauren Oliver • The left they’ve got their little security jackets and bubbles they live in, and they don’t let anything in that isn’t preapproved. These are snowflakes. They’re not gonna let anything in that’s gonna upset them. – Rush Limbaugh • The northern ocean is beautiful, … and beautiful the delicate intricacy of the snowflake before it melts and perishes, but such beauties are as nothing to him who delights in numbers, spurning alike the wild irrationality of life and baffling complexity of nature’s laws. – John Lighton Synge • The present never ages. Each moment is like a snowflake, unique, unspoiled, unrepeatable, and can be appreciated in its surprisingness. – Gail Sheehy • The productions of the press, fast as steam can make and carry them, go abroad through all the land, silent as snowflakes, but potent as thunder. It is an additional tongue of steam and lightning, by which a man speaks his first thought, his instant argument or grievance, to millions in a day. – Edwin Hubbel Chapin • The snowflake never needs to feel responsible for the avalanche. – Jon Ronson • The universe is in the habit of making beauty. There are flowers and songs, snowflakes and smiles, acts of great courage, laughter between friends, a job well done, the smell of fresh baked bread. Beauty is everywhere. – Matthew Fox • The Universe is one great kindergarten for man. Everything that exists has brought with it its own peculiar lesson. The mountain teaches stability and grandeur; the ocean immensity and change. Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes, – every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man. Even the bee and ant have brought their little lessons of industry and economy. – Orison Swett Marden • The Washington Post is quickly trying to become the safe space for Donald Trump deniers, for the Trump-won-the-election deniers. I think the Washington Post is establishing itself as the safe space for anti-Trump delicate snowflakes to go. – Rush Limbaugh • The wonder of a single snowflake outweighs the wisdom of a million meteorologists. – Francis Bacon • There is not one pink flower, or even fifty pink flowers, but hundreds. Snowflakes, of course, are the ultimate exercise in sheer creative glee. No two alike. This creator looks suspiciously like someone who just might send us support for our creative ventures. – Julia Cameron • They say that every snowflake is different. If that were true, how could the world go on? How could we ever get up off our knees? How could we ever recover from the wonder of it? – Jeanette Winterson • They say that there can never be two snowflakes that are exactly alike, but has anyone checked lately? – Terry Pratchett • This great handsomeness I took into myself later when he desired me, but I took it as one breathes air, or swallows a snowflake, or yields to the sun. – Anais Nin • Time-Use it or lose it. Time, like a snowflake, disappears while we’re trying to decide what to do with it. The surest way to be late is to have plenty of time. – Leo Kennedy • To enslave an individual troubles your consciences, Archivist, but to enslave a clone is no more troubling than owning the latest six-wheeler ford, ethically. Because you cannot discern our differences, you assume we have none. But make no mistake: even same-stem fabricants cultured in the same wombtank are as singular as snowflakes. – David Mitchell • Turgenev saw human beings as individuals always endowed with consciousness, character, feelings, and moral strengths and weaknesses; Marx saw them always as snowflakes in an avalanche, as instances of general forces, as not yet fully human because utterly conditioned by their circumstances. Where Turgenev saw men, Marx saw classes of men; where Turgenev saw people, Marx saw the People. These two ways of looking at the world persist into our own time and profoundly affect, for better or for worse, the solutions we propose to our social problems. – Theodore Dalrymple • Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated., When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind. – Wilson Bentley • We are all shitty little snowflakes dancing in the universe. – Lewis Black • We are like a snowflake all different in our own beautiful way. – Unknown • We writers – we’re the snowflakes of the literary world. We each have our own shape. – Alice Walker • What is one man’s life compared to the eternity of time and space? No more than a snowflake that glitters in the sun for a moment before melting into the flow of time. – Osamu Tezuka • What is spiritual experience? A snowflake melting, a bee sucking honey, a fat man at a traffic light. Trivia. – Frederick Franck • When I die, nieces, I want to be cremated, my ashes taken up in a bush plane and sprinkled onto the people in town below. Let them think my body is snowflakes, sticking in their hair and on their shoulders like dandruff. – Joseph Boyden • When I was doing local weather full time, I would wake up in the morning or stay up all night to make sure the snowflakes started at the time that I said they would. – Sam Champion • When it is time to part, then it is time to part. There should be no regrets. The beauty of marriage is like the fleeting perfection of a snowflake. – Ming-Dao Deng • When night falls people become as lonely as snowflakes floating down from a gray city sky. Now and again we fall past a streetlamp and are visible, a brief moment apart, REAL– we can be seen. We exist. Then we vanish into the gray darkness and the earth draws us to it. – Erik Fosnes Hansen • When you work on a computer in the studio, it’s almost like fossilizing on the spot, you know, the idea of getting solidified on the spot, like a snowflake might create branches by accumulation. – Rob Brown • Whenever a snowflake leaves the sky,It turns and turns to say “Good-by!Good-by, dear clouds, so cool and gray!”Then lightly travels on its way. – Mary Mapes Dodge • Winter is the king of showmen, Turning tree stumps into snowmen And houses into birthday cakes And spreading sugar over lakes. Smooth and clean and frosty white, The world looks good enough to bite. That’s the season to be young, Catching snowflakes on your tongue. Snow is snowy when it’s snowing, I’m sorry it’s slushy when it’s going. – Ogden Nash • Wolfe was drinking beer and looking at pictures of snowflakes in a book someone had sent him from Czechoslovakia… …Wolfe seemed absorbed in the pictures. Looking at him, I said to myself, “He’s in a battle with the elements. He’s fighting his way through a raging blizzard, just sitting there comfortably looking at pictures of snowflakes. That’s the advantage of being an artist, of having imagination.” I said aloud, “You mustn’t go to sleep, sir, it’s fatal. You freeze to death.” The League of Frightened Men – Rex Stout • Words have always swirled around me like snowflakes-each one delicate and different, each one melting untouched in my hands. – Sharon M. Draper • Yes, the sky was now a devastating, home-cooked red. The small German town had been flung apart one more time. Snowflakes of ash fell so lovelily you were tempted to stretch out your tongue to catch them, taste them. Only, they would have scorched your lips. They would have cooked your mouth. – Markus Zusak • You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake… This is your life, and it’s ending one minute at a time. – Chuck Palahniuk • You are not a powerless speck of dust drifting around in the wind…we are, each of us, like beautiful snowflakes-unique, and born for a specific reason and purpose. – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross • You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You’re the same decaying organic matter as everything else. – Chuck Palahniuk • Your children are not the same. Not at all. Each one is unique. There are no “boiler plate” clauses that fit all children. They are like snowflakes with their own patterns and their own shapes and their own sizes. – Bob Benson • Your kisses are snowflakes: each one is unique. They land on me, before they melt away and leave me cold. – Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Even the perfect snowflake that alighted on his palm and melted in seconds. – Kristen Britain • Every snowflake is unique, yet they are each perfect. – Unknown • Everyone of you has a health that is unique and totally different from everybody else. But now Jack Harper’s come and shaken me up, and there are snowflakes all over the place, whirling around until I don’t know what I think anymore. And bits of glitter, too. It was all clear. I listened to my heart and saw if there were any signs of my destiny in the sky, and there were none – there were just snowflakes. – Pierre Trudeau • I want people to know their palate is a snowflake. I am not a sweet, infantilising symbol of fragility and life. I am a strong, fierce, flawed adult woman. I plan to remain that way, in life and in death. – Stella Young • In life, no two days are the same for me. It’s like a snowflake. – Bethenny Frankel • Its so fascinating to think about how each snowflake is completely individual – there are millions and millions of them, but each one is so unique. – Kate Bush • I’ve met God across his long walnut desk with his diplomas hanging on the wall behind him, and God asks me, ‘Why?’ Why did I cause so much pain?

13x20: Unfinished Business
Then:
Tumblr media
Gabe knows Dean likes Dr. Sexy
Now:
In a darkened back alley, a man walks drunkenly away from a liquor store. A kazoo sounds in the distance. Ah, it seems that our favorite archangel’s horn is actually a kazoo. And the drunken man is actually Fenrir Odinsbane, one of the demi-gods that sold Gabriel to Asmodeus. Gabe confronts Fenrir.
Tumblr media
Fisticufts ensue. Gabriel wins, but barely.
The Winchesters, meanwhile, are checking into a motel. Dean’s updating Cas on the phone about their plans. SOFT. They really got married and didn’t tell us. Dean is frustrated with their lack of finding Gabriel, but Rowena’s spell said he could be close. He wants to locate him, and get a move on finding their mom and Jack. These thoughts all manifest before he knew this motel room has magic fingers of course. (Love the call back to earlier seasons. Not only is Gabriel back, but the room has a gritty and dark feel that evokes early seasons as well.) Their work is reduced by 100% when Gabriel knocks on their door.
Tumblr media
In the AU, Jack is proudly telling Mary about his growing abilities. Mary’s concerned about the logistics of maintaining the resistance. (Hoard toilet paper!) Fellow freedom fighter, Jacob, arrives and tells them that the angels are leaving.
Gabe, torso bleeding and powers low, inquires about his grace. The brothers inform him that it’s gone, so he’ll have to wait for his grace to recharge before he can heal himself.
Jack uses his powers to see Michael’s headquarters. It’s just as Jacob reported: Empty. Jack wants to go there.
Tumblr media
Sam and Dean ask Gabriel for his help (again) but he’s not much of a joiner. Before he can ditch again, they get a visit from Fenrir’s brothers: Narfi and Sleipnir.
Tumblr media
Fisticuffs ensue. Gabriel offs Narfi but Sleipnir escapes.
Once at Michael’s headquarters, the resistance finds a map --it’s clearly the North American continent, but it’s not the United States anymore. It’s creepy! I love it. It shows a concentration of army figures in what was once the southern United States. They also find Kevin Tran! He was left behind when the angels left town. (So this apocalypse has only been happening for eight years? Like, did it follow the same timeline as our universe?) He reveals that “there’s a place in the south where the walls between worlds are thin.” He plans on entering our world there.
Sam and Dean locks Gabriel up and force him to spill his story. Loki and Gabriel go way back --to the time when Gabriel saved Loki. Loki owed Gabe one so when Gabriel needed to hide from the world, Loki set him up in Monte Carlo with porn stars. This sequence is pure gold. I love it all.
Tumblr media
Well, the fun and games had to end eventually, and Gabriel was kidnapped and sold to Asmodeus. Gabriel wants revenge, and because he’s low on grace, he’s doing it the old fashioned way --with wooden stakes.
Tumblr media
He even has one reserved for Loki himself.
In the AU, the group continues to strategize their plan for Michael.
Tumblr media
And, yo, Dean is in a bad place, guys. He’s drinking from his flask. He also isn’t convinced Gabriel’s revenge is the best plan.
Dean pulls Sam into the hallway to have a “private” conversation (really close to an archangel so how private can it really be?). He's concerned that Gabriel's revenge plot is a waste of time...for them and for Gabriel as well. Revenge never did a damn thing for himself, for their dad… Dean calls Sam out on his own unspoken revenge fantasy of killing Lucifer. Still, Sam convinces Dean to give Gabriel’s plan a try and they get ready to head out. Gabriel knows where to go, too. Loki is holed up in the penthouse of the Ophidian hotel. (Ophidian means snake.) How...obvious of Loki.
Tumblr media
Gabriel gleefully pulls out his cartoonish kill list. Dean is...less than impressed. “This is so stupid,” he mutters, which puts a nice lampshade on the more obvious Kill Bill parallels.
Tumblr media
So the plan is that they'll kill Sleipnir, then Loki in the penthouse. “Easy peasy like a breezy,” Gabriel declares. GABE. Stop charming us!
In the AU Mary strongly urges Jack to calm the fuck down and take it slow. She compares him to herself as a hunter. “Running in blind into every fight? That's how you make mistakes.” She begs for Jack to reconsider his plan to go south and attack Michael right away. “I can't lose another boy,” she says. (This reminds us all that she thinks Cas is dead and we spend the next hour weeping.)
Tumblr media
Kevin interrupts. He tells them that Michael set him one more task...and if he does it then he gets to go to Heaven to see his mother. Everyone’s instantly on their guard because Kevin looks...intense. Mary pushes one of the resistance leader’s guns down and tries to talk to Kevin. She tells him that Heaven is just memories and that nothing there is real. (I’m like...FINALLY this show is really addressing again what a fucked up situation Heaven actually is! Thank you Mary, for calling it like it fucking is.)
Kevin doesn't care though. He's suffered. He's done terrible things. And now he wants it to end. Kevin tells Jack that Michael doesn't want to kill him. He wants to break him. Then Kevin presses his hand to a sigil carved into his chest and flaring blue light fills the room. Oh, Kevin. Getting the shaft in every universe. :(
Jack wraps his wings around Mary at the last minute.
Tumblr media
Cut back to Gabe’s stylized revenge story. Our heroes stalk their way up through the dingy Ophidian hotel corridors. In the elevator Gabriel instructs the Winchesters that they can kill the guards but Sleipnir and Loki are his to kill.
Tumblr media
The elevator opens upstairs to reveal Sleipnir and two guards in plain view. Both sides freeze for a moment, processing. And then...Gabriel douses the lights. Gunfire erupts and the fighting is illuminated in flashes of light as the Winchesters and Gabriel advance on their quarry.
When Gabe turns on the lights again he has Sleipnir on the floor beneath his blade...and Dean's disappeared with the suitcase full of the rest of the blades. Gabe kills Sleipnir and then he and Sam chase after Dean.
Dean stalks his way up to the penthouse, bearing Loki's wooden blade. He tips open the door and finds Loki at last. Loki sits calmly in his brightly lit penthouse suite sucking on a lollipop.
Tumblr media
He places his sucker into his lollipop humidor - which is a delightful touch. I mean, I seriously want to send a card to whoever made it to thank them for being an awesome and creative human being. Loki reveals that he's out for his own revenge against Gabriel. Gabriel went against their original deal. He was supposed to lay low and stay out of his family's apocalyptic nonsense and in exchange, Loki would hide him. But when Gabriel drew all the gods to the Elysian Fields hotel back in season 5, he got Odin killed. For that, Loki wants his revenge.
Loki tells Dean that his father was terrible to him, but that he would do anything to avenge him – and wouldn't Dean agree with that? (Whoa, this episode is doing all kinds of digging up the past and I LOVE it.) Dean represses heavily, blows off his explanation, and tries to stab him, but it turns out that Loki is just a projected illusion. He's elsewhere in the hotel!
Cue Gabriel, tearing around a corner with Sleipnir's blade. He finds Loki hanging out downstairs…
Tumblr media
Back in the penthouse, projection!Loki hits Dean and Dean realizes that Loki can hit him...but he can't make a dent in Loki. It's the “perks” of fighting a real trickster, apparently. Sam arrives, shoots, and fake Loki poofs out.
Meanwhile, (the probably real?) Loki taunts Gabriel about how he went to him for help during the apocalypse. Gabe can’t do anything on his own. I get the sense that if Loki had access to a pen and paper, he’d draw a sidewalk-artist caricature of Gabriel dressed in a dirty diaper. Dean and Sam show up and Dean slides Gabriel the Loki blade, but Loki continues to burn Gabriel. Gabriel lived for nothing. He'll die for nothing. Gabriel swallows down his despair, kills Loki, and then shares a nod with Sam. (This is where I see the seeds of Gabriel’s redemption sown. It’ll be interesting to see how this affects Sam’s journey.)
Back in the AU, light streams in through the crosses in the walls, illuminating ruined bodies. Jack's wings unfurl to reveal Mary unconscious in his embrace. He stares around the ruined church in despair. I stare around the ruined church in despair. Oh, Kevin.
Tumblr media
Outside the hotel, Sam and Dean head to the Impala and stuff those cool wooden blades into Baby’s trunk. (I’m definitely NOT imagining Dean playing with them in his bathrobe in the bunker...when he’s mentally in a better place, anyway.) Gabriel thanks the Winchesters for their help and then asks how they all plan to kill Michael. He’s ready to help them. “No tricks?” Dean asks.
“Tricks are for kids,” Gabriel replies. Sam asks how Gabe is feeling after he had his revenge and he tells him that he feels, “Swell. I'm a whole new guy.” As Sam turns away, Gabriel’s smile fades....
In the AU, Jack tells Mary that Kevin’s attack was his fault. Mary consoles him. God, Mary is just the BEST. So strong and world weary.
Tumblr media
Back in the bunker, Cas is reportedly helping Gabe get settled in while Dean healthily downs whiskey at the war room table. Sam asks Dean why he went after Loki without them. “This has become a whole thing with you lately,” Sam protests. He wants to know why Dean's treating him with kid gloves and keeping him out of fights.
“You remember what happened the last time we got front row tickets to the Lucifer/Michael show?” Dean asks. He tells Sam that he doesn’t care what happens to himself...but he cares about Sam. (I’ll take this moment to point out Dean’s flask drinking during the case earlier...and how Billie told him she’d see him soon. I’m pretty sure Dean’s staring down the barrels of impending death right now...and he thinks he deserves it.) Sam tells Dean that they'll save Jack and their mom together – or they'll die together. Dean loves this plan.

(All Scripture quotes from: NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE)

The gambler’s legal team will argue that since the machine told him he’d won that he is therefore justified in following a claim.
