i need to rebeccapost again who wants to watch part 4 with me so i have scenes to gif. also ull get my analysis commentary about rebecca AND about the part overall ive seen motifs in it that no one ever talks about and its driving me insane. its about the ways we idolize people and how it causes harm and its about abusive relationships (specifically women in abusive relationships with men) like textually thats what its about. we are skipping the 2nd OVA btw ive eradicated it from my mind it doesnt exist and were watching the 1st ova like 5 times i love it its my favorite episode of the whole part its just a lot of fun

i know i don't rebeccapost ever but she deserves better :/ like freshly graduated, making great strides in addiction recovery, relearning how to interact with others, and the new job kinda mucks it all up if im being honest.

like oh you just escaped addiction? would you like to be stuck in a new loop of isolation and mental fuckery where you lose control of your life and become a worse version of yourself to survive, endangering yourself and those around you? some rebecca das musical thoughts: i really really love this adaptation but at the same time i really felt like it flattened ich’s and maxim’s characterizations.  i watched a b**t of one of the stuttgart productions (starring christina patten as ich, jan amman as maxim, and pia douwes as mrs danvers -- the full recording is STILL on yt btw) so my thoughts on this are colored by their performance, but if we’re going solely on the lyrics and songs, i feel like this still rings true and the point still stands.
