god. can i just say i love the youtube deltarune theorycrafting scene so much. the way that the most prominent theorists actually talk to each other and do like collabs and constantly, CONSTANTLY shout out each other's videos in their own. its just so nice to see how even if their ideas dont always line up, everyone is united and all work together to unravel this crazy story

i think mcyt cc are playing losing game in how they treat dteam. i think they dont understand that a lot of stans, when they are forced to leave for one reason or another, they do leave mcyt space all together. like the moment shit goes down im not interested in watching people who left dteam and even more im not interested in watching people who were so tryhard to see their downfall. i know it happens sometimes people just switching ccs but even looking at the numbers, mine and craft is not as popular as it was 2 or 3 years ago. and sure the big boom happened during pandemic and we now live in different reality but i think that a lot of people just leaves and when they leave upset, they want it all gone from their lives. like i cant imagine tapping into jm stream after dropping dt like ever. i regularly block and mute ccs that i just dont want to see in my recommendations. there's also a whole thing of how they act in general. its not about that they finally proved to me that dt are evil people but bc how they treated past situations - usually in an awful way

im thinking about it bc i recently watched matpat final game theory and he actually talked about it in his vid. he mentioned how yt is is a game in which everyone can win through collaboration - ironically he even used qsmp as an example! and as contrast he mentioned beauty community that started fighting between themselves to gain viewers and steal them from other youtubers. and by the end every watcher was fed up with this behaviour and they left all together. and i wouldnt be surprised if mcyt wasnt on the same path. people mostly watch ccs for entertainment not to be involved in drama constantly. and when never ending discourse just keep happening they move to another thing that is less draining. and this is what is happening with mcyt. not only dt is losing views but every single cc in that group as well

Is was probably MatPat who made the, “it’s actually the Mimic who we fight in Security Breach,not Afton.”, theory popular.

Since everyone seems to take his word as truth when it comes to FNAF.

I’ve not watched any of MattPat’a recent vids and the only one I know of regarding the Mimic is by Fuhnaff.

But as I verbally explained in that big ol’ rant between me and @dana-chan-the-control-brain after reading the Tales of the Pizzaplex source material for the theories.

It’s just plain WRONG

Grant it, we’ve not read the Nexie epilogue as of rn and Tiger Rock only just released, but here’s why I say this:

The Mimic’s behavior is completely different from Burntrap’s.

The Mimic, while arguably having a physical design the Glamrock Endos were based off of, was originally a hunk of garbage that was only a torso that a man put together and programmed to copy the behavior and actions of his 4-year-old son so he’d have a friend.

The Mimic only turned murderous after it itself was beaten to death with an iron pipe and then put back together by unknowing Fazbear techs who gave it legs.

And even then, its actions involved with killing all reflected the actions and rules that said child followed.

Always put things away in the fridge: The Mimic shoves a dead body in the fridge.

Always put away and hang up clothes in the closet: The Mimic rams a pole through a guy and attaches it to a coat hanger to hang his dead body in the closet.

These are just two deaths. And this is before the jackass in the first epilogue gave the Mimic its new MO for killing via reprogramming and verbal direction of what to do with other endo skeletons.

Tear off the limbs, decapitate the body, and throw the pieces in a pile.

The Mimic is VERY PHYSICAL with its killings. It plays pretend and will hide and even lure people with a voice it doesn’t know how to use all that well cause it didn’t initially have one and couldn’t speak.

Unlike Burntrap who had very clear voice-lines in the trailer, even if he never spoke in game.

And the Mimic’s MO of putting on costumes?

It comes from the one instance the child playing pretend and dressing himself AND the Mimic in costumes and meant for Fazbear animatronics while his dad was trying to work.

And what costumes (excluding the Nexie Epilgue all of Tiger Rock at the moment since we’ve not read it yet) has the Mimic put on?

Several dog suits

A monkey of some kind

An orange creature

A pink and yellow-green jester

An alligator (while it was still just a torso)

A white tiger (in Storyteller where it imposed all the child behaviors it learned on all the Glamrocks. And potentially in Tiger Rock since the Storyteller costume was something it wore before and allegedly killed in based on the PTSD flashbacks of one dude we follow).

A Purple lion

And a Pink/Purple Mushroom thing

No rabbit suits to be seen.

What does Burntrap have on?

Bits of flesh and a burnt rabbit costume head.

How does Burntrap stalk and kill?

He doesn’t.

He just lumbers around and tries to hack and control Glamrock Freddy like all the other animatronics to kill FOR HIM.

Which would thus make Burntrap just another variation of Afton/Glitchtrap in a new host body.

The only way that Burntrap could be the Mimic is if Glitchtrap/Afton completely overtook the Mimic as a new host body to infect other animatronics with.

Which, at that point, means it ISN’T the Mimic anymore.

It’s the Mimic in body, but not behavior and intentions.

IF Burntrap even uses the body of the Mimic

But Burntrap is indeed Afton cause the Blob wouldn’t have reason to go after the Mimic like him.

Have you ever been a fan of a creator or artist but later lost interest in their work? If so, what do you think caused you to lose interest?

...does Matpat of Game Theory of TheGameTheorists count? Because if it does, that might be the biggest one (that isn't from "whoops turns out they're sending nudes to 10y olds!") . Somewhen between:

failing basic 9th grade physics (fortnite comet video),

trying to sell basic wiki articles or regular lore so wellknown its the series' biggest meme as some kind of shocking discovery (kirby vid that never got a 2nd part probs for that reason),

allegedly having pretty shitty bts working conditions at the channel at least when I still watched it (or at least they dumped everything on Austin of The SCIENCE! ...of, aka the (until last year) other show on that channel everyone keeps forgetting about)

And also. Just. The entirety of the first Petscop "theory" (to say it kindly: That sure Is...A Choice for a thumbnail dealing with a topic Like That in the video. Just...dude.)

Anyways, somewhere along the lines of incidents like that hapening, and they kept happening, it just. Started feeling weird to watch those vids. So after a while I lost interest in watching Game/Film Theory, only sticking around for The SCIENCE! ...of, and the moment my man finally left, I did the unthinkable and actually for once clicked unsubscibe.

Was a fan for a solid decade, predated even the fnaf theories, channel is probs a major reason for my love of hidden details in media; wish that guy the best cuz he did recently quit to focus on family which is admirable, I'm sure the new guys' gonna do his job great, and the intro music's always gonna have a nostalgic place in my heart, but yeah. It was a long and fun ride, but just like with rollerocasters, after too many rounds and with shitty fast food in the stomach, it's bound to turn into nausea if you continue going in. ...Uhh. Anyways. That's my answer lol.

I read your pinned post, and I have a few ideas and questions to throw at you if you’ll let me! Okay, so, one, Are we still dealing with Lunxian? I honestly suspect we are, because of the recent clips of lixian at that shady entrance “Iplier Corp.” Two, I’ve always wondered why this hadn’t caught the attention of MatPat? Idk if that’s insulting, but he’s already done two other Markiplier or Markiplier related theories, so why not a continuation of the one he did on the MLU? Maybe Actor convinced him not to? It’s weird…anyway! Three; Do you think that the lights Mark has in the background of his videos gives a hint of which ‘Mark’ we’re dealing with? I’ve always suspected that, because when those lights are certain colors, ‘Mark’ acts accordingly. Example: His shut in video. When he played the game shut it, the lights in the back were all red. And frankly they have been for most of his recent uploads. While he’s playing shut in, he’s acting much more exaggerated, but like a subtle exaggeration??? It’s hard to explain. It miiight be a bit of a stretch though. Undoubtedly, I suspect that Darkiplier is going to make a bolder return soon, given all that weird stuff that Mark uploaded while he was in Canada. It was like seeing actor lose his MIND. All attention was not on him, and he was stuck alone. All the time. Or maybe it was dark in some way? I highly doubt that, because most of the videos, whether it be thumbnail or actual footage, were in RED. The notorious color of ACTOR, not Dark. So, what do you think? First regarding Lunxian…we definitely think he IS there, but not in the way he was prior (the arcane energy that made him up possessing Lixian). From the looks of the glitching and such, it seems like Lunky basically is costumed and disguised as Lixian (in the 3SG vids, at least). Lixian seems to DEFINITELY have been trapped within Plier Corporation due to images and the audio from the latest 3SG, which you can find in our post here.

Second question…well, we wish we knew. We’ve given slight pushes to try and garner his attention, but sometimes things just aren’t in the cards. One thing that would REALLY support us is watching and sharing our theory video linked here! This is the definitive theory but brought up quite a bit to the present (minus the Plier Corporation) and snazzes it out a lot.

3, according to our sources, we’re not quite sure about Mark’s Canada vids being canon (canadon?), but for other normal videos, we ABSOLUTELY think so. The lights seem to have indicated that for a while for 3SG. In fact, one of our team members has made a comprehensive list of the lighting cues and background lights from all of the scary games, if you’d like to take an even DEEPER dive. And Dark…Dark COULD be coming around. If this Plier Corp business gets amped up more, who knows?

Q: I figure the answer will be yes but do you have more plans to implement more guest appearances from people in the newgrounds community into FNF? Or are you all gunna focus on OG lore and stuff going forward

A: for guest appearances, I think we have always seen it as getting a healthy mix of both. PERSONALLY I'd like to lean towards having more OG stuff than guest stuff, BUT it's all a matter of what other boys think of that as well. I'm not the sole person working on game!

Q: Are you gonna release the full FNF game or are you gonna be releasing week after week? Like, are you gonna release week 8 or are we gonna wait some years until The Full Ass Game comes out?

A: Release plan for FNF right now is a few more updates or whatev to the 'demo' we have out right now, and then a long silence of probably no updates whatsoever until the full game is done (which will likely be a few years). That's partly why we made kickstarter for game.

Q: Hey so like, how much will Fnf cost after it's finished? And when will you ask the supporters what they want the game on?

A: It's all subject to change, but right now it prob gonna be standard 15-25$ lil steam indie game.

We will ask Kickstarter pledgers and whatnot what they want the game on SUPER close to when its released, to keep options open if we get onto anything like a console people want.

Q: 1. how was your day

A: I am doing GOOD today, and I think recently I've been good in general.

Q: Will fnf ever get official plushies?? Seems like an untapped market

A: FNF plushies will prob happen some point, we have a lot of current merch stuff on our plates already though! (Mostly kickstarter type stuff, shirts, pins, posters, and all the physical OST stuff) Its a lot to sort out, but in time more and more stuff will happen. We r jus 4 boys!

Q: did you ever expect your game to blow up as it did? what was your first reaction to seeing it become super popular

A: FNF never had a humble moment, literally day 1 before the prototype even came out, the vid on twitter had like 5K likes overnight. Then when ludum dare version came out, it got 5K likes again, like it wasnt just a fluke. Was crazy, and def felt like somethin was different wit FNF

Q: Do you plan on getting other people to come in to help with the music? That seems like a lot of work to dump on one person, what with the erect mode and whatnot.

I guess the question could apply to all aspects of development. Will you be bringing on more people to help?

A: We definitely are getting help from other people. We are always keeping an eye on people for various different things. In terms of programming, already I've gotten 2 people (MtH and Geokureli) to help with certain Week 7 stuff (charting/polish, and loading stuff). Shit like dat

Q: Oh, also, will the Steam version be Workshop compatible? That'd really help streamline the process of downloading mods.

A: Steam version of FNF will likely NOT be Steam workshop compatible, because we want all the mods to NOT be spread out through different places. There WILL be modding support that is as streamlined as Steam workshop though. Mainly for non-steam versions of the game!

Q: Are there any chances that the game will have a physical release? Also any updates on a switch port? I remember one of you guys talking/joking about it.

A: Not impossible for FNF to get a physical release. We would want to see how far we could go with it though. I think it'd be super easy to do something wit people like LimitedRun games or whatev, but I think stuff like that can only go so far. I wanna see Funkin in mf Walmart!!!!!!

not that LimitedRun isn't going to be an option! Just we consider and pursue many different things! FNF release is years away, so we have time to think about everything. Whole mindset can be different just a few months from now.

Q: Out of curiosity, how are you dealing with all the popularity? It blew up so fast id barely be able to handle it if I was in your shoes.

A: The only way I've been able to handle it is having the other boys on the crew and being able to talk to them about all the overwhelmingness.

Part of it feels very lonesome, feels like NO ONE can come close to comprehending exactly how I'm feeling, except them. also other PALS!!!

Q: Do you own any of the bootleg FNF merchandise? Like any bootleg plushies or anything?

A: i dont, i genuinely think they r a waste of money, and I know any bootleg shit that gets made, we can prob go about and make it, and make it 100x cooler because we actually put effort into shit. bootleg shit just in it for the coin, so they aint gettin that from me

Q: How did you go about getting in contact with sr pelo for skid and pumps vocals?

A: Pelo i think was familiar and pals wit PhantomArcade a bit thru various Newgrounds things and collabs and whatnot.

pelo retweeted the first OG FNF posts first ever, and brought a LOT of attention to it. to pay him back, we put skid and pump in game! ask dave for more info prob

Q: what's the plan for having the full ass game open source if it's gonna cost money? couldn't people just download the source and compile the game for free?

A: when FNF is fully released, the full source code will be released as well.

the game will be DRM free so it will be way easier for people to redistribute the released/offical .exe instead of compiling it, so that's not the issue anyways. people will pay for things if they like it

Q: What are the chances of it getting on consoles like switch or Playstation, ps5 would definitely be my preferred way to play

A: it'd be a matter of hiring someone to build out backend stuff for those specific consoles. someone who knows their way around all the wacky code stuff, AND knows console hardware stuff. Then its just a matter of hittin up those console manufacturers (Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo)

the CLOSEST one is SWITCH. pretty much all of that backend is already made, so it just a matter of gettin all that access and shit.

i think in any case though, there's a lot of NDA stuff required, i dunno how much we'd be able to talk about it even IF we get that stuf sorted

Q: any ideas of releasing it on epic store or another platform?

A: Right now, the only thing that is 100% confirmed and WILL happen is a Steam version, itchio version, and mobile versions on respective app stores. Other storefronts aren't out of the picture though, but we don't want to spread ourselves too thin with it.

Q: Will you continue using HaxeFlixel to make the rest of FNF?

A: yes, because it is what I'm the most technically proficient in, and generally is VERY flexible. just a matter of ME becoming a better coder. It's ALL open source, so if I need something done a certain way, either I can do it, or we can hire someone to do it.

Q: have you seen game theory's videos on your game yet and if so, what do you think about them? (not talking about his predictions because i dont want spoilers. i like mystery)

A: it is always good silly fun to watch the Game Theory vids about Funkin with some pals, and see what matpat thinks of the game. i lov the vids, but wish he used my face less! Or at least used a cuter pic of me like this one!!

Q: Ok so: What does the future of FNF look like to you?

A: future of FNF is a rhythm game that not only exceeds every expectation that people have of it, but subverts most expectations and conventions as well.

Q: Do you plan on retouching on older weeks once the game is fully out? Like reanimating sprites, redoing some charting, updating the background, etc

A: retouching and probably overhauling certain aspects is almost definitely gonna happen. Everything is fluid and can be changed (and should be changed when necessary). i dont think anything should be too attached to, especially this early on in development

Q: I honestly do not care if the answer to this is vague as hell to keep surprises and shit lol but… Since Week 7 was the closest we’ll get to a playable girlfriend (still bf controlling tho), do you have plans to make girlfriend playable in spin-off things or just freeplay?

A: its not too unlikely that we'd have expansions of some sort, but i mean right now we plan on packing in as much as we can into base game, and trying to make that as pure as possible.

if there is ANY dlc, i would personally want it to be 100% free updates
